AN: I'M BACK!
Goodness gracious. It's been a while since I've updated this story in weeks? From focusing on my assignment to crying over my future plans to having a busy Easter vacation…but I'm back from the dead. Well, sort of. There's still a couple of more assignments on my side, so it'll still be slow. But no worries as I'll still be working on this. Anyways, hope that you enjoy this opening of Night 4!

Chapter 39 – The Worst Girls' Night-Out
Augustina's POV, Augustina's University, 11:30 PM
To say that I would be in a close freak-out as I prepared for tonight would be an understatement. There were a lot of things that could get me feel ready for my fourth night. However, this was easier said than done.
The first few worries that came into mind were tame at first. Just wondering how it would turn out to return to the Pizza Plex where there might be death traps there. And making sure what Vanessa was doing if she snuck off to investigate or scheme on her own. What else was there for all of us?
Like what I and Ruth told ourselves, we would have to get ready and it would be our job to check around. And we could only hope that both Vanessa and Ultra knew what they were doing to keep us all safe.
Second of all was what that stranger told us. She warned us about Vanessa. I nearly thought we wouldn't be up to the task like she said, but this was a person I never really knew before. And she nearly sounded like Vanessa. However, I decided to not dwell on it. If anything, it just encouraged me to be serious for the night.
"It's needed to be decided how you can satisfy the other…before it tears the suspect apart."
That would be a difficult task, but I felt sure that we wouldn't let anything bad leak out of the Pizza Plex tonight. No disasters, no more complications with any anomalies…and most importantly, we clear out everything with the best we could.
That is, until I got out of my room after getting changed.
"Where did everyone go?" I asked to myself.
The top floor of the sorority house was surprisingly empty. Usually, there would be the daily chatter between the girls and the poppy music they would put on. There was a lack of the normal cheery and sensual mood whenever they stayed up at night, whether for doing homework or for no reason. At the moment, it more looked like going into a haunted house due to the lack of any activity.
None of us didn't even bother turning on the disco light that rest on the edge of the window.
I marched downstairs to check and nobody was there as well. Maybe there should be one or two people resting there. But nope, as clean as a bathroom.
Was this some kind of prank? Were they making a surprise?
I wished that it was the former when Ruth flew to me, giggling.
"Anything wrong?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You're not gonna believe what your girlfriends are doing," she said.
She pointed to the nearest window and I stared right through it. What I saw nearly curbed any confidence I was building up before I could go. [1]
All the girls of my sorority were already piling up in a white rental truck, giggling away. Soft music was playing on their radio. I could hear it from far away! It looked like they were about to go on some kind of joyride, judging by how Ross was helping Opal out by tying a shopping trolley to the handle of the open back door with a long rope. Elsa was pouring an entire sachet of instant coffee powder into her mouth, leaning back in the driver's seat.
Meanwhile, the stoned Cassandra was watching them.
"You got to be kidding me," I uttered.
"Well, they seem to be getting out at the right time," said Ruth with a smile.
"Why do you think of that?"
"Because the rabbit lady might activate the blackout, put her sleeping spell on the majority of Vancouver and no one will hear them."
It hit me. "And that means the Toy Animatronics will come out…they might hurt them!"
I bolted out of the sorority house, making my road to the close road. I looked behind to check the entire university. Nearly all the lights were off with a couple of small lights and headlights to keep things not too dark. But it didn't reassure me that anyone could hear them. I was beginning to wish that there should be someone on night patrol.
As I got closer, and as the music got louder, none of the girls seemed to notice my appearance. Or weren't bothered. It was only Dinah who gave any sort of reaction by wearing an apologetic smile before hiding inside the truck. Cassandra had her back on me, seemingly having a call with someone. I was thinking of talking to her, but she was…busy.
"Well, she should be out by now," she said, sounding quite off. "No, no. She's not late. It's usually around this time she would call one of the security guards to pick her up." She had to pull her phone away from her as a loud voice blasted through the speaker holes. "OK, are you done screaming your head off? You're gonna sound like a retard at this point."
There was a low growl on the other hand and Cassanda's shoulders drooped.
"Just…just chill, OK? I already got them out now. I'll do my thing now, got it?" Cassandra shook her head when she heard the response. "OK. Take the rest needed. I'm serious. Seriously! Goodbye."
I cleared my throat as soon as she placed her phone away. Cassandra stirred, turning around to face me. It felt like a long time since the two of us had a conversation. It still felt weird seeing all of her hair combed to one side with the rest hidden underneath that black beanie of hers.
"Cassandra?" I said. "What are you doing?"
The red-headed curled her lips sheepishly. "Oh, um…we're just…going out…drinking?"
"I don't think it's legal for us to drink," I said. "Or safe if any of us are old enough."
Cassandra tried to imitate a bored shrug. "Eh…not like the…cops will get us. Right? Cause we'll be speeding through the night."
I placed my hands on my hips. "Cassandra, this isn't really like you. I mean, all of you are acting weird."
"What?" said Opal, turning to me with a cheerful smile. "It's not like you get to go and camp at a family entertainment center for a night! We'll be close as buddies as well with you!"
Cassandra's eyes widened.
I could hear Ruth inhaling sharply.
"I'm sorry, WHAT?!" I exclaimed.
Cassandra chuckled nervously. "Yeah, yeah, though it's a different place! A safe place! It's…it's at Chuck E. Cheese!"
"No, we're not going to that place," said Liu bluntly, popping her head from the truck. "We're going to the Pizza Plex."
Cassandra struggled to drop the frozen smile. "...OK, I was trying to lie. We're going to the Pizza Plex."
And that was what shattered my self-confidence.
"WHAT?!" I yelled a little too loudly. "You're going THERE?! Where I'm working at?!"
"Don't worry!" reassured Elsa with a wink. "We'll be extra careful! It's not like we're going to hog up all the food!"
This was right before she swallowed yet ANOTHER sachet of instant coffee powder.
"...should you be eating that?!" I said worriedly.
Elsa laughed, slapping her knee. "Nah, it's all good! Wait…what is this?" She squinted her eyes through the front window of the truck. "Oh my goodness! It all makes sense now! Freddy Fazbear is not just a franchise. It's a curse. It's sprinkled all over the galaxy through time and space. And it's right there in the black hole as well!"
She pressed her cheeks and her hands against the window, looking like she would want to melt right into it.
"It's in the black hole!" she chanted. "I can see it! Everyone, gather around to see it~!"
I turned back to Cassandra with a glare.
"She just thought she needed a 'treat' after a hard day of work," she insisted.
"This is a bad idea!" I said. "Cassandra, I can't let any of you in this late! Especially if you're gonna sleep there! I'll lose my job if I get caught!"
"Then don't be," said Cassandra, holding her hands up. "Now, I know how you're feeling, but I'm guessing that there are a lot of weird things happening at the Pizza Plex, right?"
I narrowed my eyes. "That's just a guess."
"But am I wrong? I'm guessing that because of what's going on here whenever it gets dark and due to the Glamrocks jazzing around at night, then it must be flexible with who gets to come there for the night."
I was about to make a firm point, but I stopped myself short. She was right; Elena and Gregory stayed at the Pizza Plex for a couple of nights for their safety. Vanessa did the heavy with clearing things up with the manager. I was nearly tempted to point out all these things. But what stopped me was that the manager wouldn't be happy about the numerous amounts of university students ransacking the Pizza Plex.
"It doesn't make it acceptable since you don't have a valid reason to make it a field trip," I said, crossing my arms. "At NIGHT time. LATE night time."
"How about we just leave a pile of cash to throw your manager off?" suggested Cassandra quietly.
"What? No. Luis isn't THAT greedy. And he's not gullible."
"What if we pay YOU money?" asked Ross, fiddling with the attached shopping trolley. "What rules do we have to follow?"
I sighed in exasperation. "Look, I should have my paycheck in soon that'll cover up the cost I need to make. But if I dare say, then you all have to agree not to split up and use any of the rides or attractions."
"Except seeing them light up, right?"
"Yeah…there would be also a few other things needed to be done such as booking in earlier to avoid the crime of breaking and entering, right?"
Almost all the girls laughed at this. Elsa was laughing, but her laughter was putting her in a fit due to how much she took. The ones who weren't genuinely laughing were Dinah and Cassandra. The former was trying to hide in the truck while the latter was sheepishly laughing.
This indicated that none of them thought of booking any spot to stay at the Pizza Plex.
"C'mon, Augustina," said Claire. "You only get into trouble once in a long time. Well, we all get into trouble, but it's about time we get a bit rebellious?"
"Yeah," agreed Apple. "Besides, Cassandra did go out to help this Oswald guy on his research with the freaks running amok here. Might as well make our own adventure."
"Or how about we take the party back to the sorority," I said hastily. "I mean, literally, we can just all go back in there and I won't touch anything in the Pizza Plex to not make you jealous. I mean, we don't need a fancy Pizza Plex for our own night! It'll be your own party!"
"...but Augustina," said Liu, raising an eyebrow. "We'll be charged extra if we ruin the sorority house."
"Are you serious?! Out of all of you, Liu?!"
The girls continued chatting with each other, piling into the truck. Well, except for Ross who got the brilliant idea of sitting in the shopping trolley.
"Ross, I don't care if you're doing this from a stunt you've seen on Jackass," said Cassandra firmly. "But untie that rope right now!"
"Too late!" said Ross with a crap-eating grin. "This rope is already tongue-tied tight!"
"...with Elsa driving the truck like this?" I questioned.
"Oh, don't worry. I'm sure that she'll snap out of it!"
"There's no end to our story here!" rambled Elsa, waving her arms dramatically with a single drop of drool pouring from her freshly red lips. "We're not EVEN real people even! We're…we're ALL CHARACTERS! PUPPETS ON THE STRINGS OF A SOCIOPATH WILLING TO BEND THE LAWS OF IMAGINATION FOR HIS OWN AMUSEMENT! I can hear him clicking over his keyboard. It goes CLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII…"
I rather not imagine how Ross will be riding a trolley cart attached to the truck, driven by the now caffeine-high Elsa. Needless to say, Cassandra looked like she wanted to agree with me. I had to wonder about her choice of coming over to the Pizza Plex.
"J-Just think this through, alright?" I pleaded. "Don't cause any more trouble, please."
Cassandra glanced at the few girls watching us. They had quite mixed expressions, looking tempted to still go anyway. She turned back to me, looking reluctant to even go.
"Alright…" she muttered. "Sure. Look, let me think. It's still likely I'll go. Besides, Elsa is still…oh f**king goodness, Elsa." [1s]
The silver-haired girl was still in the same position with one eye twitching. Like a broken computer, she was stuck on the same sound.
"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII…"
Cassandra threw her hands upwards, somewhat giving up. As she made her way to talk to the girls inside the truck, I turned around and rubbed my eyes. This wasn't how we planned things out. We already got Elena and Gregory, so we shouldn't have any more guests unless they were direct targets as well. What if they walk into Roxy's Raceway or get close to the Bonnie statue or go underground?
I couldn't just let those girls get hurt, but yet, it was already growing dark. I had no idea about the Toy Animatronics since they were unpredictable at this point.
Ruth's voice came in. "So apparently, I guess this is a huge red flag from them."
"I didn't know them long enough to expect them to do something like this," I whispered. "Maybe what we're doing is hypocritical, but Cassandra's idea is nine levels below stupid."
"At least they aren't going to try to disappoint you."
"It still counts and it might be embarrassing." I shivered. "Just imagine the number of leashes I would need to carry if they do come over."
"...want me to spook them so that they won't come out?"
"No, we can't risk THAT," I said. "...OK, how should we do this?"
By coincidence, my phone rang, interrupting any ideas of how to deter the girls before it was too late. Pulling it out, it was Melody. To my surprise, a notification for a text message popped in, telling me that this call was really important.
I gulped, pressing the call button.
"Melody!" I said quickly. "There's something I need to let you know!"
"Me too," said Melody, sounding worried as well. "I'm already at the Pizza Plex. Elena and Gregory just arrived and are in hiding. Vanessa hasn't come over yet. Now…there's a problem here."
Oh man…if my fellow classmates' visit wasn't enough tonight!
"W-What is it?" I stuttered. "What-What's wrong?"
"I have no idea," explained Melody, pausing for a bit when there was a loud retching sound on her end. "But it's not in relation to the rabbit lady's sources or magic. It seems like the Glamrocks are having a hard time progressing with what happened last night."
I shouldn't be surprised that the Glamrock Animatronics were having difficulty getting mentally ready, but I was. I thought they might be prepared since their coding would make them more strong. But they were like us. And some of them didn't have easy ways of explaining to us all what they found last night.
"Are they alright?" I asked in concern. "Are they ill?"
"I think you mean the other kind of 'ill'," winced Melody. "I'm with Chica and she's…let's just say she shouldn't have eaten the entire bin. Monty had already left a huge crack in the glass window of his room. And as for Roxy, she's having a mixed bag by now."
I didn't know why, but it seemed like this might be an equally pressuring challenge as facing the rabbit lady. The only difference was that the animatronics didn't need magic to make them feel…riled up.
"…what about the others?" I asked.
"I have no idea," said Melody. "But we're doing everything we can to get ready for tonight. No matter what we find, we have to make sure that it doesn't go out of control. In the morning will be when the main directors of Fazbear Entertainment will arrive."
I was confused by that last sentence. "Wait, what? Can you repeat that?"
Melody whistled deeply. "…oh, it just came in. Luis told me that the executives of the company will be coming in early to check the Pizza Plex. They just want to check if the place is still thriving. So we will have to be very careful before they come at 6 AM."
…well, that's not good. I thought they would visit the Pizza Plex after a week ever since its grand opening. Or after like two weeks or a month to check on its success in the long term. But them visiting early would be bad news. With the many people taking shelter in the Pizza Plex, how are we going to usher everyone out, especially with the likely dangers there?
I bit my lip. "Yeah…about that…I have a problem on my end. Cassandra and her girls…want to stay over at the Pizza Plex."
Melody gasped. "What?! They're still awake!"
"Yeah! But…I just hope that Cassandra was able to convince all of them to get out of the truck. We're not animals."
As if on cue, the truck's lights flashed on.
The sound of Cassandra frantically crying loudly and the girls laughing as monkeys roared over the sputtering engine of the truck.
I was slow to react to the truck already speeding off. Whipping around, I got to get a special look at the cackling Elsa in the driver's seat and the back doors STILL open…with the attached trolley following along all while its passenger, Ross, whooped in joy.
It only took a while until they were about to turn around the corner when I could find my voice. And acknowledge the smell of burnt gas and dust from the road. [2]
"Ah, s**t…Melody, make sure no Toy Animatronics are around. See you soon!" I ended the call and immediately ran after the truck. "ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!"
I wasn't usually a person who likes to run that much despite my previous runs. Melody trained me for this, but it didn't include chasing after someone in the open space. And here I am, running through the empty road after a truck full of partying girls playing loud electropop music on the radio. With the back doors flinging around and the shopping trolley pulled behind, who knew if this might also be how they die?
I felt silly running after a speeding truck in the middle of the night. I looked around, praying that no one was seeing me. It looked like the rabbit lady did me a favor since almost all the building lights were out with no less than one person walking on the pavement. It made things quiet aside from the loud ruckus the girls were making.
Speaking of which, I was glad none of them had their phones out. Half of them were happily singing along to the loud rap song. The other half? Holding onto any handlers and seatbelts for their lives as Elsa wildly swerved the truck around. Cassandra was yelling at the top of her lips several times, repeating…
"STOP! STOP!" she yelled. "DAMN IT, ELSA! STOP!"
"NO!" yelled Ross. "KEEP ON GOING!"
I could yell out 'stop' as well, but I was beginning to run out of breath. Trying to pick up speed on this truck was hard. I noted that I was starting to run a little faster than the usual human speed, but that might be due to Ruth giving me some power to get moving. That being said, it didn't help that I was growing tired and unable to even choke out a squeak.
Meanwhile, as the truck swerved around, I noted how much danger Ross could be in. Well, she didn't seem to mind, but that shopping trolley could have tipped over! And it wasn't exactly the kind to go that fast. It was jumping up and down as it bumped into random things popping out from the road like it was a bike.
But Ross didn't seem to care in the slightest. She was having too much fun, laughing away.
I couldn't see her face, but I could hear that she was having the time of her life.
We were about to come across a junction and fortunately, the traffic light above turned red.
Immediately, the truck came to a stop. But not the trolley. It crashed into the back of the truck and Ross rolled out. Fortunately, she was wearing a thick jacket that allowed her to have a softer landing. She lay on her back, laughing hard.
I sighed, taking a moment to stop. "Oh, thank God! I'm gonna kill them."
As I resumed running, I could see and hear what must be a catfight happening on the truck.
"Elsa," growled Cassandra, creeping close to the driver's seat. "Get. Out."
"Noooooooo~!" groaned Elsa, STILL intoxicated. "I was such the best driver in the world!"
"No, I am!" insisted Liu, trying to get into the driver's seat. "Let me show you how to drive properly!"
"No, no, no," giggled Elsa, slapping her knee. "It's about skill. I just did my awesome burnouts in the arena. You can hear the thousands of people screaming for my name."
"...we don't even have an audience!" pointed out Cassandra.
The three girls gave each other glares before they tried to hop into the driver's seat. Elsa was simply pushed off and, in her caffeine-crazed state, tried to fight with the other two. They resorted to slapping and pushing each other as they tried to grab the wheel.
None of the other girls paid attention to this, STILL singing to the song playing on the radio.
"OK! OK! OK!" yelled Cassandra, stopping Elsa and Liu from fighting. "The red light is gonna switch to green soon! How about we take turns in a nice, orderly fashion?" [2s]
Elsa groaned with a lop-sided smile. "Agreed."
Liu grunted. "Fine…"
…and they went back to fighting over the wheel.
Just in time as I managed to get up. But not before lifting the trolley back on its wheels for some reason. Seeing this, Ross hopped in cheerily.
"What are you exactly doing, Ross?" I said.
"Oh! You caught up!" she said. "I'm just reenacting my childhood dream!"
"But this thing doesn't even have seatbelts," I pointed out, gripping the side of the trolley.
"It's more fun this way!"
Back in the truck, Cassandra broke up the three-way fight.
"OK! OK! OK!" she said. "As your leader, I will go next to take the wheel."
She, Liu and Elsa remained silent, contemplating letting her drive. That was until they eyed the wheel again.
…and they resumed fighting over it.
"Are you kidding me?!" exclaimed Cassandra.
And then, the green light flashed.
"Dibs on the wheel!" yelled Elsa, hopping back into the driver's seat. [2]
I was slow to react as the second she slammed onto the pedal, the truck sped away. And so did the trolley. I only noticed when I felt my feet getting dragged on the road. Slowly looking down, I noticed that the road seemed to be moving gradually. Faster and faster. And then like an idiot, I realized that the truck was picking up speed already.
And so was the trolley, bumping along on the road.
I was still holding onto the side of the trolley with both hands.
Immediately, I placed my feet onto the lower tray of the trolley to keep myself straight. Ross was already whooping, sitting right in the top tray like a baby.
"Now, let's enjoy the ride here!" she shouted.
"I don't think this is fun!" I said.
In comparison, Ruth was already cheering, her excitement suddenly lighting up my body with the same enthusiasm.
"Now this is the way to go!" she chirped. "You never get to ride a trolley down the hill in your life!"
And that was before Elsa decided to swerve the truck around multiple times again. I was cursing to myself, wishing that I had just jumped into the truck and pulled Ross right in. With the truck making spontaneous turns on the straight road, I found myself clinging to the trolley like my life depended on it. It was like needing to keep your feet on a skateboard while an airplane drags it!
I could not tell you the number of times I yelped and thought we would fall every time the trolley bumped over tiny rocks. It felt so exposed, so weak. The trolley could snap like a paperclip if one wrong move. Not like Ross minded since she was laughing away.
Melody might take this challenge well, but I questioned if anybody had the sanity to do this!
"STOP THE TRUCK!" I yelled. "SOMEONE STOP THE TRUCK!"
But Elsa cranked the radio too high that nobody could hear us. The ones who did know about me and Ross tried to pull Elsa out from the driver's wheel. That only made things worse since no one was able to hit the brakes. The truck ended up swerving around, causing the trolley to tilt on its side which we had no control of.
Ross was cheering away, but I was screaming away. Holding on as the trolley dared to let us scrape ourselves on the road. And whenever the trolley was standing on two wheels on each side, I feared that either me or Ross might end up being left behind. Not helping was due to the many bumps the trolley had, even nearly making me let go when it jumped a bit too high.
Luck seemed to be on our side as, despite all realistic chances, we didn't fall out. Probably due to Cassandra now grabbing a hand on the wheel. Unfortunately, the truck did a hard right on the next turn and the trolley was nearly late to follow along. And it didn't help due to the long rope attaching the trolley to the truck…leading us to run into a nearby headlight.
For me, I was holding onto the right side of the trolley. But for Ross? She was a bit too close.
WHAM!
The trolley continued being dragged along, unfazed by its collision with the headlight pole. Ross' face looked like it was punched in, nearly having a visible hole as if she was made from play-doh. It nearly looked cartoonish due to the lack of bruises despite getting her face squished by the headlight.
"This is fine!" she reassured with a thumbs up.
"No, this is NOT fine, Ross!" I snarled.
And it could only get worse as the trolley was sent steering to the right due to the sharp turn. I nearly thought of hopping into the top tray with Ross when it rode right onto the clear pavement. At one moment, the rope caught a nearby rubbish bin. I feared that this might suddenly pull on the rope and cause the trolley to fly upwards. But it kept going and the bin ended up flying right at us.
I ducked my head, but it didn't save me from waves of rubbish crashing over my head. By the time I could lift up my head to confirm it was safe, at least five pieces of banana peels were rolling off my head. I looked behind to see the rolling bin behind us…and a rubbish-coated Ross with the widened eyes of witnessing an eldritch horror.
"...OK, I didn't think this true," she said.
"You think?!" I hissed.
"Oh god, it's a ramp coming right up!"
And there was a pile of junk that formed a ramp.
"Cool!" said Ross with a grin.
"Not cool!" I said.
Fortunately, I didn't need to worry as the second the trolley began to turn left, it simply crashed right through the pile of junk since the ramp wasn't even stable. That being said, it didn't make things easier due to the pieces of boxes crashing right into our faces as soon as we crashed through.
"Dang…" I groaned, using one free hand to rub my nose. "I guess that's why it's much safer to have a windscreen."
"Augustina!" yelled Ross, suddenly afraid. "Watch out!"
The truck did a sharp left turn, but it was on a much narrow street. And the trolley was about to collide with the nearby building.
I screamed loudly, trying to slam my foot onto the wheel to brake.
To my surprise, the trolley ended up riding onto the building. As if all four wheels were able to connect onto the set of apartments, defying the laws of gravity! It was riding higher and higher as the truck kept speeding through the empty road. I was lucky that I wasn't on the left side or I might be dangling from the trolley instead of being on top of it.
The same couldn't be said for Ross as the angle of the trolley got her falling out of the tray. I quickly grabbed onto her hand, trying to not let her splat on the ground. As the trolley kept riding on the side of the buildings, the two of us were screaming our heads off.
This was a very scary experience!
Fortunately, the truck did a sharp right and the trolley got back onto the ground on all four wheels. I ended up sitting in the same tray as Ross and we found ourselves hugging each other as the girls continued their erratic driving. I couldn't recognize my own screaming. I was more focused on not falling out of the trolley.
It continued like this until we reached the Pizza Plex, away from the town. With no other car in the parking lot, Elsa made a beeline right toward the Pizza Plex itself. I feared that she might actually crash right through it. Thankfully, she was able to maintain her sense of reality and braked right at a free parking space. [2s]
But she was going so fast that it was sudden.
And the trolley suddenly bumped over a barrier that was in front of a nearby parking space.
Me, Ross and the trolley were sent flying upwards.
Oh, and Ross looked like she might crash hard on the ground instead of the trolley.
I landed first and I was lucky enough to be in the trolley. The wheels broke, leaving the now-orphaned tray to slide across the road. Looking upwards, I noticed that Ross was about to crash right into the wall.
Without thinking, I immediately reached out my hand and surrounded her in a pink aura.
And just like that, she simply splattered against the wall.
Before sliding down slowly.
If it wasn't for me, then she would have died crashing into there. Or would fall much quicker.
I winced to myself as I watched Ross slide down like jelly. I wished that I could just slowly lift her down using my power. But if I used it to the full extent, then everyone would know immediately. I wondered if I should keep trying to hide my powers for long since we would be in the Pizza Plex soon.
In the end, I was relieved that there weren't further injuries as she landed safely on her feet. However, her legs were trembling like jelly that she ended up shaking on the ground on her back. Before getting into a laughing fit of what could be described as lunacy.
Hopping out of the trolley, I looked to the side to see the girls trying to recover. Apparently, the wild ride nearly left them on the floor. I could see Dinah quickly jumping out of the truck and bending down to vomit. But there wasn't anything. She just felt sick of the ride. Looking through the window of the driver's seat, I could see Cassandra checking the dashboard.
"Out of gas," muttered Cassandra, her fingers jittery. "Damn it. I knew we should have rented a f**king limousine!"
Elsa, on the other hand, was pumping her fists upwards. "Yes! Yes! Ten points to Gryffindor, everyone! I'm the best driver in the world! MWAH HA HA HA!"
I bit my lip, fearing that this would go on until Elsa got herself killed. However, her laughter seemed to be changing into something down. From looking excited about everything before her face slowly shifted into distress.
Before I knew it, she already lowered her head into the wheel and began crying hysterically. Sobbing and laughing at the same time as she repeatedly slammed her fist against the dashboard.
Liu sighed in relief, patting Elsa on the back. "The caffeine is finally running out."
Eventually, all the girls managed to get out of the truck. And they didn't seem bothered by the whole trip! Ross seemed dazzled as she waddled her way back to them, but her smile was still there, albeit shaky. It was what ticked me off. How they could have this…nerve?!
"Hey!" I yelled, hopping out of the trolley. "We nearly died!"
"And we were safe and sound in the truck," said Opal sassily, pointing at me and Ross. "Who's crazy now to do such a thing?"
Ross gaped, glancing at me. "But it's my idea! All mine! I didn't ask Augustina to come along with me!"
I groaned, hanging my head. "I still have to watch you buffoons for the night!"
The laughter died down from the girls as the excitement seemed to wear off. Cassandra, in particular, seemed to drop the guard she put up and she appeared…guilty. She looked down, staring at her trembling fingers. She gave one hand a shake before calming herself, taking a deep breath.
I was too angry and embarrassed to keep looking at her. I felt like muttering a 'sorry' to her, but I didn't even know what just happened.
"Sorry, Augustina," said Cassandra quietly. "I guess that all of us got too excited for the trip."
I didn't really have any words. I could only nod meekly. I just wanted to forget this since I have other things to worry about.
"Yeah, I'm so sorry, girls!" wailed Elsa, hugging Ross. "I'm really, really sorry!"
Ross nearly leaned back, but Elsa was already cuddling her. It felt strange seeing the normally composed and sophisticated Elsa breaking down like this. The caffeine must be still flowing through her body. It came to the point that she was rubbing Ross' arm as she babbled uncontrollably. And…
"You're buying this, right?" she said, switching to looking embarrassed.
I shrugged. "Kinda?"
"Er, no," said Ross flatly. "I'm dedicating my life to get you back now."
"OK, enough with the fights," called Cassandra, gathering everyone's attention. "Now, ladies. Let's forget about what we have been through. The hard work, the assignments, the taxes we have to pay. Now, I brought you all here for a nice relaxing party at the one and only Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza Plex!"
Claire looked confused. "Wait, I thought we were supposed to be here because Os-"
Without a reason, Apple elbowed her.
"...I-I mean, you're doing good."
"Thank you," said Cassandra through gritted teeth. "But, we have some rules and Augustina will be guiding us through them. Now, be respectful and pay attention to her to know what we can do for tonight."
She sounded way too serious for this. I thought she would be excited or disobey anything to party all night in the Pizza Plex. It sounded forced, but she didn't sound too happy. I gave her a look, wondering what she was up to. However, she was stoic. I looked back at the girls, looking eager to go in.
And they were waiting on my approval.
"This is getting weird," muttered Ruth's voice.
I shifted my feet awkwardly. "It's getting late. You should…all probably try finding a motel or a…"
I trailed off when I looked back at my watch. It was getting close to midnight. And it was already dark out there. I tried looking for any light out there. But it was nearly pure dark. I nearly thought I saw a pair of red eyes in the bushes, but it wasn't there. However, my paranoia got to me and I imagined the girls ending up bumping into a Toy Bonnie alone in the woods…
Eventually, I made up my mind.
"You know what?" I said. "Go in."
Cassandra actually looked surprised by this response. "Wait, really?"
"Just go in," I said, grabbing her arm. "I don't want any of you getting hurt in the middle of the night."
Cassandra barely moved at all, her face turning pale. I rolled my eyes as I began dragging her to the entrance. The girls took this cue to enter the Pizza Plex, continuing their normal chatter. For a few times, Dinah stopped by, looking sorry again. She nearly opened her mouth, but she didn't say anything. Apple gave me a look, raising an eyebrow.
Cassandra's look was eerie. She appeared nearly depressed, yet her eyes were shiny. Something told me that she didn't just come here for a party. However, I couldn't really tell if it was just selfishness since I sensed her…feeling bad.
I decided to not think too much. Right now, it was getting them to the safest place possible in a short amount of time.
Once all the girls came inside, the metal shutters already blocked off the entrance.
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for visiting and we hope you enjoyed the show. Freddy and the gang are pretty tired, but they'll be back again tomorrow. Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza Plex is now closed. Initiating nighttime protocols."
"Wait a second," said Claire. "Are we…actually locked in here for the night?"
"Well, might as well just stay here," I said. "Nothing much I can do unless you want to be torn to bits."
"I'm sorry, what?" said Dinah in concern. "So we cannot go whenever we want to?"
Before I could say anything else, Elena came into view. Naturally, she was shocked.
"Whoa!" she said. "What's going on here?"
In unison, all the girls turned to her.
"Who's she?" squeaked Apple.
"Wait, is that the lady we saw at the bar last week?" asked Opal, rubbing her chin.
"No, I'm pretty sure it was four days ago," muttered Elsa, turning back to her more composed attitude.
Elena turned to me with a weirded-out look. "Augustina? What's going on?"
Oh, boy.
It was at this moment I knew that I had to explain EVERYTHING to everyone.
I could hear Ruth chuckling in my mind, feeling as sheepish as I was.
"Erm…"
"…can we have a moment together?" asked Elena, grabbing my arm.
The girls glanced at each other with various expressions. Half of them looked disgusted. Cassandra seemed deadpan by this.
"Go ahead," said Cassandra politely.
Elena put on a fake grin before dragging me across the room. She pinned me right against a wall in a dark area away from the group of girls. But I wasn't scared at all. I was just cringing on the inside, knowing that this wouldn't go well.
"Are there more ghosts here?!" hissed Elena quietly.
"No!" I whispered. "They came in to have a slumber party!"
"My goodness, Augustina!" said Neptune, popping out from Elena. "What's going on? Ruth? Did you do something?"
"No, I didn't!" said Ruth, popping out from me. "This isn't what I expect at all!"
"I don't know as well," I said sadly. "They just drove all the way here and I got dragged when one tried riding on a trolley attached to it."
Elena blankly stared back at the group of girls already chatting casually. She grunted, matching my annoyance. However, she seemed to be trying to not freak out.
"I'm guessing that it's too late now to kick them out," she said.
Neptune nodded grimly. "Especially with the Toy Animatronics out there."
"But what are they doing here?" asked Elena. "I don't think it'll be easy containing a total of 10 people who aren't security guards!"
"You're telling me!" I said, throwing my hands up. "They could have booked like a spot here, but no, they just want to get wasted here and their wallets left empty. I'm going to get fired for this…"
"Vanessa covered for me and Gregory with a possible bribe to the manager, and these girls might have money to bribe the manager as well," pointed out Elena. "Who needs to fire you then?"
Neptune gritted his teeth. "Cute one…cute girls thinking it's fun to stay around here."
"I'm guessing that we might have a lot of naptimes here," said Ruth, rubbing the back of her head. "At least they make things more interesting."
"You're sure about this?" questioned Elena. "Because normally, a group of people might get killed off in a Fazbear facility."
I shook my head. "No, no, no, don't think of that."
Ruth nodded calmly. "No, she's right. She's got a point. I bet the prettiest one goes first."
"Don't encourage her."
"It's fine," said Elena. "I'm just…more worried about their safety here."
"Look, whatever we can do, we have to make sure those girls don't wander off on their own," advised Neptune. "There are already a few spots that are too dangerous for them to roam around. And most importantly, don't let them know about us."
Both me and Elena agreed to this in unison. "Right, right…"
"I can let the others know immediately," said Ruth. "Though, shouldn't we let the girls know before things get much weirder?"
"I'm not letting them gossip about all of this," I said, crossing my arms. "It's either we keep the secret and save billions or we let the rabbit lady kill all of them one by one more quickly than ever. Not to mention that any word about this is going to tick off the higher-ups who will come in later this morning."
Elena gulped to herself, already understanding what this means.
Ruth shared a glance with Neptune and at Elena. The latter stared at her for a while.
"I suppose so," sighed Ruth with an exasperated smile. "They kind of looked like fun."
Neptune crossed his arms, tilting his head. "You're not seriously thinking of partying with them. You'll give them a heart attack!"
"Doesn't mean I can be in their body and feel how they are feeling when having their kind of party!" Ruth dropped her smile. "Wait, that kind of sounds worse…"
Elena rolled her eyes. "Well, on the bright side, this might provide Gregory a lesson about staying up all night and getting drunk."
I chuckled a little. "Yeah, teach him that."
?'s POV
They seemed quite busy at the moment. As the pigtailed girl and the braided girl began making their way through the hallway, the girls behind them were chattering away. They already pulled out phones and they hadn't even gone past the golden Freddy statue yet. This might take forever until they get into the right positions. [3]
But no matter. They only got 6 hours of fun here! Right for them to go running around in circles into my dear arms. I couldn't suppress a chuckle as I watched from the window. I twirled around, brandishing the red-coated knife in my hand.
"Well, well, well," I said to myself. "Look what the cats brought in. I recognized the little redhead; I thought that you would stick by with that snow-cone-haired guy, but I should have known. Everyone is really desperate to stop this game. But you're just making it more fun, aren't you? Since I'll have to kill you next…"
I giggled some more, scratching the glass with my knife. I was nearly close to cutting her. My knife was cutting through her tiny head. The redhead looked so confident with that wild, fiery hair flowing down. Well, why has she got to look so serious now? Especially since she brought her friends around.
"Speaking of which!" I narrated. "And you brought in a group of more players! This isn't what I expect. I would have just left them alone, but…"
I sighed, rolling my shoulders around. I slammed the blade of the knife against my palm…and immediately pulled my hand back. It was protected by my glove, but still!
"Oooh!" I said. "OK, I got a bit too impatient…well, I'm an impatient woman. And surely, my love would do something like this. Besides, who's gonna care about what happened to those girls? They look insufferable!"
However, from my lessons, what I taught was that everyone could pretend well. Pretend to be someone else; that's how they get by in life.
"But then again, who knows if they'll end up surviving like that redhead?" I said to myself.
I slowly turned my attention to the pigtailed security guard. She kept looking behind, giving the girls a hesitant expression. Oh, she shouldn't be so worried about her competition's safety!
"I'm surprised at how the security guards are now coping with this," I continued. "I expect that they would turn on those innocent, pretty-looking girls, but…no. They're growing too soft. That's not fun at all! So, it looks like I'll have to drop by for once…"
I spun around and slashed my knife in thin air. I imagined doing this to my first-ever target. I imagined slitting his throat, gleefully savoring the blood spill pouring out like it was a shower. I wished that I had done that instead of just stomping my foot on him. It was…exciting to see!
I grinned, even though it was hidden underneath my pretending mask.
"...and spoil the surprise!" I announced. "I wonder if I should hire a filming crew to see this! This can be a great horror movie! Oh, my love would love to watch it! He would adore the screams as he told me!"
But in order to get a good horror movie, you need to list down the tropes. I turned back to the window, observing the girls following the pigtailed security guard.
"I wonder which girls I should go after. Now, who is the most painfully beautiful and dumbest…or maybe the smartest."
I hummed to myself, tapping my chinny chin chin.
I eyed the brown-haired. "Mmm, nope. She doesn't look like that much?"
I switched to the silver-haired and the blonde-haired. "Those two look like potential final girls."
I looked back at the redhead. "The redhead, of course, too stubborn!
Bumping into her was the black-haired. "The black-haired…I don't know actually. She looks normal…too normal. Suspicious…"
The blue-haired was observing the ceiling lights, shaking her head in disgust. "Though, the blue-haired looked a bit too fussy."
I groaned, giving up on whom to decide. This is so difficult! Who knew picking which one to play with could be so difficult?!"
In a fit, I slammed the blade of my knife against the floor. And then, the blade bent. I lifted it up, seeing the now-sloping knife.
"...Bummer. I really need to play whom I should kill first…"
I shook my head. This wasn't how I should be playing the game! This wasn't me! Why so serious?
"You know what? Why should I bother?" I said, putting the damaged knife into my trusty hammerspace. "It's all just child's play…"
Without letting worry get in the way, I made my move into the not-so-dark corners of this secret room.
"...and I'm going to enjoy it anyway." [3s]
AN: How many of you didn't expect this to happen?
This was planned a long time ago as the fourth night will be when things start to fall apart. I wondered to myself, what if we have a bunch of naughty girls coming over to the Pizza Plex to wreak havoc? As time goes on, I thought through how to make it flow which comes to this. And you might already know what Cassandra's 'plan' is.
And I told you all we will have some generic slasher elements! After watching the new episode of Murder Drones (and the news of that stupid Blood and Honey movie), it increases my interest in making this an outright slasher movie. But don't you worry; I'll be studying the slasher genre and the cliches. Like always, I'm going to play around with the stereotypes. This is going to be fun.
In case anyone forgets, here is the list of girls from Augustina's sorority who are joining the night. I haven't been using them well in the previous chapters, so hopefully they'll have some shine before their fates:
- Cassandra – Red-haired, the stubborn and rough leader of the group
- Dinah – Blonde-haired, the sane second-in-command of the group
- Claire – Black-haired, the savvy and resourceful one
- Liu – Blue-haired, the neat and tidy one with style
- Opal – Brown-haired, the ditzy and sometimes-shallow one
- Ross – Pink-haired, the daring and overconfident prankster
- Apple – Orange-haired, the kind-hearted and nicest one
- Elsa – Silver-haired, the smart and reasonable one
Now, pick your guess on who's gonna bite the bullet! I won't be using your reviews to decide~! Mwah ha ha ha ha!
Anyways, just a few things to point out. Elsa sucking on COFFEE powder is the furthest I'll go with using drug consumption despite slapping the 'T' rating. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. Opal's words 'and we're safe and sound in the truck' is a reference to The Big Bang Theory; the episode where Sheldon uses a robot and nearly causes Leonard to get into a car crash.
Also, there'll still be focus on the other characters. I feel like I haven't been writing about the animatronics, so I'll be sure to take note of what's going through their minds…and how they're coping with them. Plus, we're given Vanessa about to investigate again and the added stress of keeping the Pizza Plex clean as possible before the company executives arrive.
It's still a FNAF story. What can possibly go wrong? :3
