"Eternatus. It's you again…"

Grace watched intently as the powerful Darkest Day Pokemon floated directly in front of her. He seemed calm and relaxed in her presence, fixing a loving gaze upon the young woman.

He was finally ready to admit his deep love towards the young doctor… She had saved his life not just once, but twice, and since then he couldn't stop thinking about her. The compassionate and sweet nature she always had, her delicate skin, the intoxicating scent that danced continuously around her body…

And last night after he'd passionately kissed her in the tent, holding back an extremely strong desire to be intimate with her. Those feelings felt much more powerful to him than any Wishing Star he could ever possess.

But what would she think? It was the one fear that had held him back from confessing the truth. Would the woman that he truly loved reject him after finding out that the man she developed feelings for was actually the Darkest Day Pokemon?

"Eternatus, how are you feeling?" Grace managed to choke out, feeling both nervous and relieved that the majority of his body was concealed by powerful Dynamax energy. It meant that he really was okay and must have recovered well from the battle. Ender was right.

"I've been exceptionally well because of you, Grace." Slithering his long torso like a snake towards her, Eternatus had become so extremely close that she could feel his soft breathing against her ear.

"And I want to tell you a secret."

As he playfully kissed down her neck, Grace was frozen and unable to speak. Where was this behavior coming from? The Darkest Day Pokemon hadn't acted this way back at Hammerlocke when she was locked inside the energy pod with him. While Grace had always desired even as a young child to develop a friendship with Eternatus, she couldn't help but wonder what was really going on.

Had the powerful Dynamax Pokemon fallen in love with her?

Despite his draconic body towering over her small and fragile figure, Eternatus continued to trail his kisses towards her ear. This was it. He was now ready to tell her the truth.

"Beautiful miss Grace Brezziana, I am End…"

Before the Pokemon could finish his sentence, a pair of long, vine-like appendages suddenly shot through the dark haze surrounding them. They wrapped tightly around Grace's waist as she screamed and flailed in panic. Without hesitation, the appendages flung her backwards towards the crowd of people.

Chairman Rose, who had orchestrated every move immediately caught the girl in his arms.

"Well done my faithful Ferrothorn." He nodded towards the grass/steel-type Pokemon as it happily retreated into its Ultra Ball. Grace attempted to push herself away from the chairman, but he was reluctant to let her go.

"What are you doing!?" She retorted angrily. Oh boy, how frustrated she was that the chairman even had the nerve to hold her like this. Like he was relishing every part of it in his own twisted way. Ugh, it made her sick.

The chairman simply laughed in response while placing a peculiar looking headset onto his ears.

The Income. It was the exact same headset she'd seen back at the energy plant when he had first spoken to Eternatus.

"Ah, Eternatus, the infamous Darkest Day Pokemon!" He yelled from across the pavement, challenging those deep, crimson eyes that glared straight in his direction. "Do you think I'd ever allow you to hurt this wonderful young doctor? Of course not, but I'm certain you already know that."

Eternatus began to grow extremely enraged. He let out a frightening sound that caused massive crowds of citizens to scream with terror as they ran towards safety on Route 6. A destructive vortex of Dynamax energy encircled them once again, brutally ripping up tiny fragments of stone tile and jagged mudbrick from the buildings that were scattered below.

"I'd never hurt her, unlike you and your pathetic so-called 'heroes' who almost destroyed the entire region of Galar."

Because of her gift to interpret Pokemon language, the others were unable to understand the conversation that was happening between them except for Grace. She watched in amazement as the Pokemon's energy core gleamed brighter than it had ever done before. The two Wishing Stars that sat in the chairman's jacket responded by glowing in perfect synchronization. It was as if Eternatus had been absorbing an infinite amount of energy from them.

Suddenly, his spear-like claws reached out and slashed the chairman's jacket to retrieve the two Wishing Stars that rightfully belonged to him. Both indigo-colored rocks were immediately consumed into his pink core at the slightest touch of his metal finger.

Oh, how good this rush of power was! The immense amount of energy that coursed through his entire body was exhilarating. How he'd missed every part of it!

Just one more Wishing Star and the legendary Pokemon could retrieve infinite amounts of Dynamax energy to return back to his true and most powerful form, his Eternamax form.

He wondered… Would Grace still choose to love him if she were to witness his real form? Was it possible that he could make love to her as a human while also transforming back into his true form to fulfill his Pokemon duties? While Grace had known about Eternatus's Eternamax form, she'd never actually observed that form in the flesh.

And part of him couldn't wait to show her!

Right now however was not the time to reveal his true identity… He'd have to wait until the perfect moment. The moment when he could fully expose his true form to her.

Maybe he could get her far away and alone… Finally revealing his true form to her in a place that was hidden from crowds of people.

As the dark swirling vortex of energy decreased, Eternatus exhaled another deep growl directly towards the chairman. Grace swiftly managed to wiggle out of his arms right as the man was hurled backwards by the force. He wailed in agonizing pain as his back collided with the metal wall.

"Chairman Rose!" Oleana cried anxiously as all of them except Grace ran towards him. Sonia was on the phone immediately for an ambulance while Professor Magnolia examined the wounds on his back.

Suddenly, a gigantic pink beam of Dynamax energy ascended upwards into the sky with the same exuberant force that she'd witnessed in the energy plant just a few days ago.

The evening twilight began to overshadow the horizon as Eternatus stared at Grace momentarily from amongst the shadows with his deep crimson eyes.

Then the dark, draconic silhouette rapidly shot up towards the noctilucent clouds, slithering like a snake inside the beam of pink light.

Then suddenly, he vanished into the night.
