Alya had felt regret several times in her life, so she would admit that she is familiar with its symptoms. However, there were few times where she encountered such an acute case as what was currently unfolding.

Kagami was describing in very unnecessary detail on how her honeymoon went. To be fair, her initial response of, "it was fine," was dismissed by Alya, who wanted to tease her friend a little. She didn't expect for her, and the rest of the friend group, to be scandalised in a café so early in the afternoon.

"…and there is nothing more touching that to greet the sunrise in the midst of a passionate embrace with your lover – even though he couldn't quite see it from his position," Kagami concluded.

Marinette choked on her tea while Alya fanned herself and took a sip of water, despite the both of them being married longer than she was.

"I think she broke Juleka," Rose whispered to Mylène who gave her unresponsive friend a sympathetic poke after her head slammed on the table.

"Thank you, Kagami for that detailed anatomy lesson." Alya's voice was dripping with sarcasm.

"Well, you asked," Kagami didn't even bother looking up from her juice as she took a sip.

"Yes, and boy do I regret it," Alya muttered under her breath. Kagami smirked at this.

As the rest of the brunch eventually wound down, Kagami reflected on the past year. She had graduated with her Master's, started working and even managed to beat Luka to proposing first, even though he had beat her in getting a ring first. It didn't matter, because during the honeymoon she'd –

"Hey!" Alya's whisper interrupted Kagami's thoughts. "Earth to Kagami! We're going to leave now. Where's your mind at?"

"I was just thinking about romping in the hay with Luka when I get home," Kagami replied casually, albeit it at a lower volume to avoid permanently scarring her new sister-in-law.

"Oh, now you decide to use euphemisms!" Alya exclaimed, exasperated as Kagami winked back at her.

Several hours later Kagami woke up in her bed. The soft snoring coming from her husband sleeping next to her was something she's never thought she'd appreciate. The deep rumbling sounds merged into the baseline for the familiar melody that Luka himself helped her discern.

She wasn't sure how long she was staring but eventually, those brilliant blue eyes opened up and she was able to look at her reflection in them.

"Is there something on my face?" Luka joked with his voice was low and seductive with sleep.

"Just handsomeness," Kagami teased back. "Right… here," she leaned forward to kiss his forehead, "…and here," his cheek, "…here," the tip of his nose.

Luka suddenly shifted his position so that he braced his arms on either side of her head. His mouth was upturned in a smirk while his eyes gleamed dangerously at her.

"Careful," he warned, his voice still low while one hand slowly traced the features of her face before resting on her bottom lip, "you might get something on you."

Kagami slowly traced her hand up his arms, following the snake tattoo that now shared the limb with a long, red, Eastern dragon. She then impatiently looped her arms around his neck and head and dragged him down to forcibly meet her lips.

"That was the goal," she slyly whispered before she brought him down to kiss him once more.
