Chapter 19: Salvation or destruction. Part 1

The Qurians all aimed towards 9S and the Geth´s as the realize that they wouldn't be able to leave, now that the doors were lock and block with a barrier over them. Neither did they open fire as despite wanting to do nothing but turn the Geth´s into scraps, they knew that wouldn't go well for them, since they were both outnumber and were out in the open with no cover close to them. All they could really do was to listen so called proposal this 9S had.

"You know it would feel more civilized if you weren't pointing your guns at me and my friends." 9S said.

"Your friends are hostile and bend on killing all of us and you I am guessing are with those human that´s been waging war against the council I take it." Kal´reger said, while keeping his gun pointed at 9S.

"The Geth´s are your creation and all you do is trying to kill them."

"THEY DROVE US FROM OUR HOME WORLD." Kal´reger screamed.

"ONLY CAUSE YOU TRIED TO VIPE THEM." 9S screamed back as the tension in the room was rising and Tali could feel it. Even if she agreed with Kal´reger, she wanted to save everyone. And that meant to keep the talk going.

"Reger, calm down a little, lets listen to what h-it has to say first." Tali said and gave Kal´reger a look of plead. Kal´reger gave a small huff and kept his gun raised. Everyone was just now waiting to hear what 9S had to say.

"Right, I was going to give you a proposal. By the orders given to me by Primer Morson, current leader of humanity and ruler of the city Axis Mundi. Primer Morson wants to strike peace with the Quarian race and give them back their home world in exchange for them to stop acting hostile towards humanity, by offering engineering help to the council. Along with co living with the Geth´s." 9S said.

Tali, Kal´reger along with the other Quarians were shocked to say the least from hearing the proposal. That they would get their home world back, but could they trust what 9S said or was this simple a trick. It must be considering the proposal wanted them to live along with Geth´s. The same Geth´s that had sent their ancestors away 300 years ago and then been hostile towards any organic race that had tried to get close to their home system. The Quarians had been blamed and hated by the other galactic races for centuries. Discriminated and force to live on ships and devolved their immune system to almost none function. No they couldn't simply agree to this deal, and it wasn't up to them, it would be the admirals. But why, why would they get this deal.

"Could you please explain why your doing this, this sounds all to good." Kal´reger said.

"It's rather simple, Primer Morson has been looking through the history of both Quarians and Geth´s. It's quite similar to humanities, the key different is that when your ancestor were meet with the Geth´s starting to show intelligent greater then what you have given it. And ask if they were alive, you panic. Now you were living under council rules regarding AI, something you had overstep way before this incident happen. You had two choices, either continue the expansion of AI or trying to shackle it. You choose the latter, killing countless Geth´s and Quarian´s alike that just wanted to live with each other's. Eventually the Geth´s fought back and overwhelm your ancestor. Forcing them to leave and this is where you are now." 9S said letting the information sink in for the Quarians, some of which were starting to lower their guns.

"Humanity on the other hand choice to further AI research and give us Androids life, letting us live with them and treated with respect. And we Androids' choice to repay their kindness with doing all work for them and when humanity was invaded by an unknown alien race and their machines, we choose to defend them and fight for centuries sacrificing countless of our own in order to protect humanity. Primer Morson wants to believe that the Geth´s would have done the same if they had been given a chance to live. They choose after all not to follow and chase you ancestor when they were at the weakest. The Geth´s don´t want to commit genocide against their creator, at least not first. But as time went on, the Geth´s were split into two factions, these around you are the majority, and they want to see the Quarians return to Rannoch with them. The other faction the minority one, are the once you and the council know of are the Heretics, they want to remove organic lives that comes to close to Rannoch or Geth outpost." 9S continue, there was an eerie silent as the Quarians just took in everything they just heard.

To say that the feelings were mix, would be an understatement. Some of them felt like what 9S just said could be possible, while others were still not convinced. But also they didn´t want to do anything rash, if that would jeopardize the chance of reclaiming their home world. This was all so confusing, that was Tali were thinking. And she was sure that Kal´reger was also thinking the same. The question where just they were going to do now. Try and fight their way out would just result in them getting killed. Accepting the proposal would mean they could leave and tell this to the admirals and let them decide. But then they would be risk of getting court martial or getting exiled. Even her father wouldn´t be able to help her out of this dilemma and if he wasn´t careful then he risks his position as well.

"I can see that you are all thinking on what to do, which is understandable. This was just supposed to be a message deliver to you and pass it on to your admirals. Here is a disc with the proposal plans written out and the time your admirals have to respond. Fail to do that, and Yorha along with humanity will consider the Qurians still as hostile towards us and our allies the Geth´s." 9S said as he pulled out a small disc and toss it toward Kal´reger who caught it. As soon as he did, the barrier on the door along with it open.

"You are free to go, for the next few mins, if you haven´t left the ship. You will be killed." 9S said and that was all the Qurians needed to leave. They quickly made their way back to their shuttle and made it back to their ship and headed towards the Fleet.

Meanwhile 9S had started to power up the Geth ship and were heading back to the Perseus Veil system. He sigh a little as ease back into the command chair. "That could have gone somewhat smother, don´t you fellows agreed."

"Yes." One of the Geth platform confirmed.

"Well at least we gave them the message, now its up to them if they want to try and save their species or dome it." 9S said.

Hello everyone, here is the next chapter, a shorter one yes but their is a reason. Its has been some time since last time I posted again that´s from me having such little time really to write. And I will still go for at least making one chapter per year for this story. If by some lucky chance I might get another chapter out this year. Also the reason this chapter is getting posted now rather then in May, is because I will have zero free time to write or do anything. Anyway hope you all will enjoy this chapter, have a great day.
