Chapter 3: A Job

It was the next day and Issei and Kai were facing each other while eating breakfast.

With them together Issei was about to propose his plan to Kai.

"Hey Kai you said you wanted to enroll yourself to Argus Academy right?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Do you want to enroll together?" issei said, suddenly making Kai drop his spoon and fork.

"What about the money for our weapons and education? Don't have enough of those,"Kai asked as Issei nodded and soon replied.

"Then we'll get a job, think about it, if we enroll into that school and become the best hunters in this world, and save a lot of people, we'll get a lot of fans, which also means were gonna be surrounded by ladies too," issei replied while trying to motivate Kai.

"Hmm you make a good point, but are you sure you will not give up in the future?"

"Trust me if This is the way to achieve my dream I'll be damned if I don't take the opportunity," Kai, being curious of what dream Issei has decided to ask him.

"What's your dream Issei?"

"My dream is to become the Harem King!" Issei exclaimed proudly in front of them. Good thing they were the only ones in the dining room. A bit of silence then Kai responded to his dream.

"Why?" Issei did not expect this answer. He has always been told whenever he tells this dream, that he is a pervert, or you will never achieve your dream, but never why.

He thought that having a harem full of girls was about having fun with them, but is that really all? Is a harem's only purpose is to satisfy one man's sexual desire?

Why did he want a harem? It is true that he wants to have fun with a lot of girls, and boast about it, but is that why he really wanted a harem?

Maybe the reason he was trying to get a harem was so he wouldn't be lonely anymore, besides from his 2 best friends in his old world, the last time he was separated from a friend was when he was a child when Irina had to go abroad. And after he went abroad he was saddened that his only best friend went away.

Maybe the reason he wanted a harem to begin with was to not feel loneliness anymore.

"Huh I never got that response before, people always call me a pervert or a degenerate whenever I say that, maybe I wanted a harem because I want to be surrounded by girls who love me."

"Issei, you don't have to worry about me calling you a pervert, since I'm also one myself, but I do understand you, people always longed for love in their life. And if having a harem is what makes you happy, then I'll support you. Let's enroll into Argus Academy together and become the best hunters we can be."

"Yeah! Then it's settled after we finish our breakfast, let's go out and try to look for jobs, and starting tomorrow we will start our training, agree?" Issei stood up from his seat and reached out his fist to Kai for a fistbump.

"Agree," as Kai stood up and responded to fistbump with his fist.

Issei was touched by Kai's understanding and support. With his best friend by his side, he felt confident in his dream and his ability to achieve it. He knew that the road ahead would be tough, but he was ready for the challenge.

Together, they finished their breakfast and headed out to find a job to fund their enrollment in Argus Academy.

As they were walking down the streets of the city finding a job they were trying to find jobs from looking at posters or flyers that are advertising job openings. To help them find their job Kai bought a newspaper from a shop, and from there on they continued their search.

"How about this one?" Kai pointed out one of the jobs but Issei swayed his head side to side.

"No too time consuming, we need to train too,"

"How about this?"

"Too advance, I'm not that smart for that kind of job."

"How about being a pole dancer," Kai laughed as he pointed out to another part of the newspaper where it was shown that they needed some male pole dancers for their establishment.

"Are you serious I'm not gonna be a pole dancer, I may be a pervert but I'm not gonna go that low, it creeps me out imagining myself doing that," Issei replied while shivering as an image popped in his head of him dress up in revealing outfit and dancing on a pole.

"I'm just joking,"

"Well you better be or else I'll put you into one of those places,"

"Hmm, I don't mind if I went into a girl bar," Kai responded as he laughed as Issei proceeded to take hold of the newspaper.

As he scanned the newspaper he finally found a suitable job for both of them.

"I've found it!"

"What is it?" Kai soon stood by his side and took a look at the newspaper where Issei was pointing. "The Dimitrescu Salon and Spa?"

"Yeah, they are currently looking for 2 boys to work there, and they are accepting workers for ages 15 and up, most of the other jobs required being 18 and above but this place accepts 15 year olds to work there,"

"And it's nearby too, sounds interesting, what do we need to do?"

"According to the ad, we'll be working as assistants, doing various tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and helping out customers,"

"Sounds good to me, let's go apply," Kai said as they headed towards the salon.

As they entered the salon, they were greeted by a luxurious interior with a Victorian style era design. A Blonde haired receptionist greeted them with a smile.

"Hello my name is Bela, how may I assist you?"

"We're here to apply for the job opening as assistants," Issei said, showing the ad from the newspaper.

"Ah, yes. Please fill up these forms and wait for a moment," the receptionist handed them some forms and pens, and they filled them up quickly and handed them back to the receptionist.

"Thank you," the receptionist said with a smile. "Please wait in the waiting room and our manager will come and speak with you shortly."

Issei and Kai nodded and headed to the waiting room. As they waited, they couldn't help but admire the beauty of the salon. It was elegantly designed and had a relaxing atmosphere.

After a few minutes, a tall, elegant woman walked into the waiting room. She wore a long white dress, had long black hair, and piercing yellow eyes. But the most noticeable for both of them is that she has a huge pair of knockers at least D cup size.

"So you boys want to work here do you?" They both got out of their daze as the woman in front of them asked a question.

"Yes ma'am were here because of the add of your place in the newspaper,"

"I see, well my name is Alcina Dimitrescu, but you will call me Lady Dimitrescu understood," They both nodded as she opened their forms and started to review them, "judging by your paper both of you are orphans correct?"

"Yes ma'am, but it won't deter us from doing our job," Issei responded as she responded with a nod.

"That's fine, orphan or not, as long as you both are hard working then I will accept you into this establishment," Lady Dimitrescu continued to review their files as they listened to her.

"You'll not find us slacking off madam, we promise that we will be one of your best employees," Kai said.

"Last question, why do both of you want to work at such a young age?"

"We want to become Hunter's in the future," Issei replied to be continued by Kai.

"And since we are orphans we decided to work for the money too provide for our enrollment and our equipment."

"I see, That's a good ambition to achieve," Lady Dimitrescu says as she closes their forms, " You're both hired."

""Really!?""

"Yes, and you will start today by delivering the items on this list, and to collect their payments," she handed them over a list of items as they grabbed it and read through it.

"We might not have any motorcycles but there are bikes outside that you can use to deliver these items."

"It's no problem ma'am, we'll deliver these items in no time," Kai replied.

"I expect great things from you two, don't disappoint me, oh and don't forget to wear your uniforms" Lady Dimitrescu told them as she exited the room.

Issei and Kai wasted no time and immediately wore the t-shirt of the business and headed outside to grab the bikes. They looked at the list and saw that they needed to deliver a few beauty products to various addresses around the city.

Kai looked at Issei, "Looks like we've got our work cut out for us."

Issei nodded, "Let's get started then."

They quickly mounted the bikes and started pedaling. The first delivery was just a few blocks away, and they arrived there in no time.

They handed over the package to the customer and received payment. They looked at each other and grinned, realizing that they were doing well so far.

They continued to deliver until they were now finished.

They were now heading back to the salon.

As they parked their bikes at the front they immediately entered the salon to tell Lady Dimitrescu.

As they entered the salon they could see two other girls who were currently giving a haircut to two girls, but the most outlandish thing was that they were not using scissors, well they were technically using scissors but they were using claws that were 6 inches in length.

But judging from their cuts and technique it seems that it was the thing that was unique in their business.

'Whoa I did not expect that!' Issei thought in his mind as he admired their ability.

As they continued to watch they were approached by Bela.

"Issei, Kai, are you guys back from your Delivery?"

"Yup, and we have the money right here,"

"Oh you can just go upstairs and meet Lady Dimitrescu," she ordered them.

They soon went up the stairs and into the office of Lady Dimitrescu, but as they went in closer they could hear an argument between Lady Dimitrescu and someone on her phone.

"I told you that we had a big celebrity coming in next week and we need everyone here, how many times have I already told this to you before!"

"And I told you that someone has a bigger offer for me, so you can take your business and fuck off," it was the response of a man that was coming from the phone.

"You listen to me Heisenberg whenever I get to see you again I will rip your fucking balls off!"

"Good Luck finding me," Heisenberg said lastly as he ended the call.

"That damn fool!, always thinking of himself, now what am I gonna do," as she thought about her next action she heard a knock on the door, "who is it?"

"Its us Lady Dimitrescu,"

"It's you boys, have you delivered and collected the cash like I told you?"

"Yes Lady Dimitrescu here it is," Issei handed the money as she counted it and put it in the vault.

"If you boys are done then you are free to go, I have to deal with something,"

"What's going on Lady Dimitrescu? Kai asked as Lady Dimitrescu breathed out a sigh.

"It seems the only massager that we had is now going to get a better job somewhere and decided to leave us right at the moment that someone important has requested a massage on monday next week, now I need to find someone else to do the job, but the problem now is he was the best here at argus," Lady Dimitrescu stated their problem.

Both Issei and Kai were thinking of Ideas, when suddenly Issei said something to Kai.

"Hey Kai there's something I want to tell you," Kai listened to Issei as Issei proceeded to tell his story, "before I came to the orphanage I gave a lot of people massages before and they always tell me they liked it,"

"Good plan I'll propose it to our boss,"

"Lady Dimitrescu Issei here had experience of giving massages to people before,"

Lady Dimitrescu looked at Issei with interest, "Is that so? Well, I must say I'm intrigued. Can you show me your skills?"

"We'll if you don't mind Lady Dimitrescu," Issei said as he scratched his cheek.

"I just want you to show me your skills, now do me a shoulder rub," Lady Dimitrescu ordered him as he nodded in return.

"Yes Lady Dimitrescu," Issei soon went to the back of her seat and prepared himself.

'Ok Issei you have done this many times before, don't screw this up,' Issei mentally prepared himself as he was about to give a shoulder rub to one of the most gorgeous women that he has met.

Issei took a deep breath and began to work on Lady Dimitrescu's tense shoulders, kneading the muscles with his skilled hands. He started with gentle strokes and gradually increased the pressure, working out the knots in her muscles.

Lady Dimitrescu let out a soft moan of pleasure, "Oh, that's wonderful, Issei. You have a real talent for this."

Issei was feeling more confident now, encouraged by Lady Dimitrescu's response. He continued to work on her shoulders, feeling the tension slowly melting away under his touch.

After a few minutes, Lady Dimitrescu spoke again, "You know, Issei, I think you might be just the person we need for this job. Your skills are impressive, and I think our client would be very pleased with your work."

Issei couldn't believe his luck. He had only been at Argus for a short time, but already he was being given this amazing opportunity. He felt grateful to Lady Dimitrescu for taking a chance on him.

After his massage session with Lady Dimitrescu they were now let go for the rest of the day.

As they walked out of the salon Kai only asked one thing from Issei.

"How was it?"

"It was AMAZING!" Issei shouted triumphantly.

They are now returning home now that they have finished from their job at the salon.

As they were walking they were chatting on what weapons and outfit they would use to enter Argus.

"What weapon would you choose, Issei?"

"I'll most likely go for a gauntlet type weapon since I'm more used to my fist more than anything, how about you?" Issei replied as he knows nothing about swords, or any other weapons besides his fist.

"I really want to wield a giant sword, ever since I was a child I was always fascinated by big swords, so when we'll earn enough money maybe I'll buy one for myself," Kai replied.

Issei nodded in agreement, "That sounds like a great choice, Kai. With a giant sword like that, you'll be able to take down any enemy in your path."

Kai smiled, "Yeah, I can't wait to get my hands on one. It'll be like living out my childhood dream."

Issei chuckled, "I know the feeling. When I was a kid, I always wanted to be a superhero like those shows I always watched. Now, I feel like we're about to become real-life superheroes."

Kai nodded, "It does feel that way. But we have to remember that this is serious business. If we're not careful, we could end up getting hurt, or worse."

Issei's expression turned serious as he replied, "I know, Kai. That's why we have to plan carefully and make sure we're ready for anything."

Kai nodded in agreement, "You're right, Issei. We need to be prepared for anything that comes our way."

Issei thought for a moment before speaking up, "What about our outfits? We need something that will protect us, but also won't weigh us down."

Kai looked thoughtful, "I was thinking about lightweight body armor. It's not as heavy as full armor, but it'll still provide some protection."

Issei nodded, "That's a good idea. And we can wear some tactical gear like gloves and knee pads to protect our hands and knees."

"Aside from outfits and weapons, we should also train," Kai commented as Issei nodded in return.

"Yeah, good thing tomorrow is the weekend and work will resume next week,"

"So tomorrow we'll start training as well."

"Yeah!"

"By the way, wanna race back to the orphanage?"

"What's the catch?" Issei asked as a smirk grew in Kai's face.

"Last one there has to wash the dishes!" Kai said as he had already started running.

"Hey don't start without me you asshole!"

They both ran until they had finally reached the orphanage.

Issei won the race since Kai tripped on a rock which made Issei laugh, so he had to do the dishes. After Kai cleaned the dishes they both got ready for bed and prepared for a new day for tomorrow.

A/N

Well that's chapter 3 for Draconic Restart.

Issei and Kai have now been recruited into the Dimitrescu salon and Spa. I asked last time what type of job Issei will have so in the end I combined the two. I'll let him be a delivery boy, but at the same time a massage boy.

As for their weapons, my Oc will have a greatsword similar to the holy moonlight greatsword from Bloodborne. It will look like a normal claymore but in the middle it has a chamber where one can put any type of dust in it and it will make the sword look wider and longer. And the aura slashes created by the sword would be infused by the dust that is currently in the sword.

As for Issei he will have DrachenStulpen, basically the same weapons He used in my other story Sealed Under a Shattered Moon.
