Urahime's pov

'Two Special Grade Curses. Did they get here using the map? ' Utahime thought as he moved to cover Inumaki's and Kirara's escape. 'If one of them decides to attack now, we're finished.'

Utahime knew that she could not match the strength of Special Grade. Her time working alongside Gojo made it very clear that her talents were limited.

Even so, if she could buy enough time for the two students to escape that'll be fine. The problem was how to do it.

Normally, Jogo would have attacked immediately after meeting them, but this time something was different. 'The guardian... it is supposed to be a powerful curse. If I think about it from Ainz's perspective, how strong would a powerful curse be? '

This doubt made him hesitate. From Jogo's perspective, they must have fought and beaten a curse that Ainz considered strong which meant that these sorcerers must have a strong cursed technique.

'I have to be careful here.' Jogo thought. He quickly glanced at the two jujutsu sorcerers that Utahime was trying to cover before walking to the side.

Dagon stayed still while staring at Utahime while Jogo moved to block their possible escape. 'Damn it. They're onto my plan. ' Utahime thought as she debated what her next move would be.

Kirara was sweating buckets. A few meters from her stood the strongest curse she had the displeasure of meeting in her life.

'If Hakari was here... ' Kirara thought as half of her regretted sending her man away while the other half regretted not leaving to the second layer as soon as she could.

"Gojo?! " Utahime said in a small voice as she used her arm to pull Kirara to her back. Jogo quickly took a few steps forward and now they had Jogo on their 12 and Dagon on their 9.

Slowly but surely Jogo was making squeezing them against a wall and soon there would be no way to reach the second layer without passing right through him.

"He already passed here. " Kirara responded as she debated whether she should run now or later.

"Yuta? " Utahime asked while taking a few strides toward the door leading to the second layer. She also used her cursed energy to bluff a bit causing Jogo to hesitate.

'That amount of cursed energy... is she tired from fighting the guardian? ' Jogo asked himself. 'If that is true then I don't need to concern myself with her technique. '

Jogo's eyes widened as he covered himself in cursed energy. His head released a puff of smoke and he displayed a sinister smile.

'Oh shit... ' Utahime thought. Jogo was about to attack them which would expose their weakness. The only way to survive now was to somehow buy some extra time or...

"He hasn't—- "

"Kirara. " Utahime said interrupting Kirara. She covered herself in cursed energy before saying, "Go to the second layer's door and wait for Yuta. Take care of Inumaki. "

Kirara stopped for a second before nodding. She took a deep breath and awaited her chance.

Jogo finally got tired of waiting and was about to attack. He raised his hand and then twisted it while looking at Utahime.

"Now! " Utahime screamed as she rushed Jogo who simply created a small volcano-like structure under Utahime.

Kirara took off as fast as she could, but right after Jogo was done setting up the attack on Utahime but before the attack could actually take off Jogo moved to intercept the students.

Within a few moments, Jogo appeared right in front of Kirara who immediately stopped running and turned around. Utahime turned her head fast enough to follow Jogo's movement.

"NO- "

[Clap]

Utahime found herself where Jogo stood, right in front of Kirara. She quickly glanced over to the door and saw Team Kamo walking in. 'Even with them, it's too dangerous to stay here. ' Utahime thought as she quickly made the decision to move on to the second layer and wait for Yuta there.

"Good luck. " Utahime said while grabbing Kirara and running to the door.

Jogo was extremely confused, to say the least. One moment he's about to kill some jujutsu sorcerers and the other he's inside his own attack. 'I was teleported into the lava? 'It took a while before he got a rough idea of what happened.

Dagon on the other hand, didn't seem to mind much with the jujutsu sorcerers that were walking in. He quickly glanced at them and assessed their strengths. From a pure cursed energy point of view, they were nothing to him, the only problem would be their cursed technique and that could be dealt with later.

Kamo had the completely opposite conclusion when he saw the two Special Grades. 'The curse in the lava is bad news. The crustaceous-looking one does not look that strong. Is it still undeveloped? ' He asked himself as he quickly glanced over to Gakuganji.

The old jujutsu sorcerer was very experienced and could give an accurate assessment. 'Hmmmm... they are very powerful by normal standards... exorcising them both right here would be ideal, but it would take too long. ' Gakuganji thought as he asked himself whether the group should fight or just move to the next layer. 'Whatever we do we need to cover Utahime's and the student's escape. ' Gakuganji concluded as he looked at Kamo.

Kamo immediately pulled out one of his arrows and drew the bow. The quick glance that his master did tell him everything he needed and as soon as Jogo came out of the lava Kamo loosened the string.

The arrow moved and produced a high pitch sound as it sliced through the air, but its speed was no match for a Special Grade like Jogo who quickly outran it.

Utahime was a few meters from the door when Jogo started making his move. Before the arrow could even reach him, the curse was already closing in on Utahime's position.

"Are you two stupid or something?! " Todo said when he saw the whole situation. He quickly clapped his hands and swapped positions with Jogo.

The arrow switched targets from Jogo to Dagon who had not shown any intent to pursue the jujutsu sorcerers.

Jogo blinked twice when he saw that Todo was where he should have been. 'This again?! It's his cursed technique! ' Jogo thought when it clicked in his head.

It took only a few moments for Gakuganji to understand where the curse went as the jujutsu sorcerer quickly jumped to the side while playing his guitar. Gakuganji released a wave of cursed energy toward Jogo who was still processing the whole ordeal which allowed him a perfect strike.

Without anyone trying to attack them, Utahime and Kirara were able to get to the door. Right before they disappeared, they heard Todo say, "Go on. We'll meet you guys on the second layer. "

Jogo felt a rush of electricity flowing through his body. The lighting caused his muscle to freeze for a second before he could retaliate. "Arggg..." Jogo said as he tried to recover.

Gakuganji quickly played the next set of melodies to continue his attacks while Kamo and Todo focused on the other curse, Dagon.

The arrow from Kamo was still in play and as it approached Dagon, the sea curse showed no interest at all. He just stood there before tanking the hit from the arrow which caused him next to no damage.

'He is more durable than I thought. ' Kamo said as he placed his bow around his upper body and pulled out a bag of blood. 'I'll have to use direct attacks with my cursed technique. ' Kamo thought right before throwing the bag in the air.

Todo stood back to assess the situation. If he ran to Dagon right now he could get in the way of Kamo so standing back until he could get a read n Kamo's plans was the right play. The only problem would be if Dagon displayed an ability or cunning great enough to counter Kamo's attack.

If that happened Todo had to jump in the fray right away to stop Dagon from either assisting Jogo or just running into the second layer.

[Piercing Blood]

Kamo said as he pushed both of his hands forward. The blood ripped its way out of the bag and focused on a single point creating a bubble of blood floating in the air.

After a moment, the blood shoot out like a bullet and went straight to Dagon who immediately moved its head out of the way. While the blood did miss its target Todo saw that one of Dagon's tentacles got hit and fell to the ground.

That information was all that Todo needed before going ham. Dagon's durability was lower when compared to the other Special Grade that he fought in Jujutsu High and Dagon's speed was only okay.

Todo was now sure that he could exorcise Dagon with his bare hands, but when he looked over at Gakuganji, and saw that Jogo was throwing a huge fireball at him... 'I'll use the cursed tool just to speed this up. ' Todo thought as he looked at the Special Grade Cursed Tool's seal.

Todo had a wooden box he was carrying around ever since he entered the Domain which housed the Special Tool. The only problem is that he left it near the door before swapping places with Jogo.

"Gakuganji, I'm swapping. " Todo said before clapping and switching places with the director. Jogo continued attacking which meant that Todo was gonna get hit instead of Gakuganji.

Todo quickly stepped on the seal before clapping, "Swap! " Todo said while smiling as he changed places with Jogo.

"Stop that! " Jogo screamed as he placed both of his hands together. "I'm done playing around with you all. " Jogo said as he focused a lot of his cursed energy inside his body.

'I only need it to work for a few moments. That's all. ' Jogo thought as he looked at Dagon who quickly understood the situation.

They had planned to stay behind to pick off anyone who stayed behind in the first layer for while before finally moving on, but Jogo was very clear to Dagon about one point. "If I look like I'm about to pull out my Domain, move on to the second layer immediately. " Jogo said.

This was exactly that time. Dagon quickly turned to the door and started running. Kamo saw that the curse was about to make its escape and tried to manipulate the blood that was on the floor, but Dagon was too fast and the blood was unable to grab him.

Jogo laughed right after Dagon disappeared. "Ha ha ha ha! " His cursed energy spiked and the Domain started forming.

[Domain: Expansion]

The outer shell of the Domain was barely formed when Jogo's cursed energy rapidly decreased. The special curse stood still for a moment before saying, "This is bullshit... I want revenge for Mahito and... " Jogo was unable to complete the phrase before his body split apart and fell to the ground.

Todo saw a sword sticking out of Jogo's body before the body started disappearing. "Just in time, right everyone? " Yuta said as he bashed the outer shell of the Domain.

Jogo's body fell down and disappeared after a few minutes. Yuta quickly pulled his sword and placed it back on its sheathe.

Kashimo's pov

Kashimo was the wild card of the game. Unlike other people, he didn't really care about Ainz or the game. All he wanted was to face off against Sukuna who he was convinced would eventually show up in the game.

So naturally, he decided to stay in the first layer and wait for that time. His original plan was to wait by the door leading to the second layer, hidden until someone powerful enough that matched what he believed Sukuna is to walk in, but even for someone with such a simple plan like that, nothing went too well.

Kashimo noticed a problem, not a big one at first. In fact, if he wanted to play the game as it was intended the best move would be to ignore what was happening and simply move on to the second layer, but for someone who intended to enter the first layer or just stay there for as long as he wanted. That problem had to be addressed.

Poison. A special type of poison was accumulating in the Domain.

It took a good amount of time for Kashimo to notice it, but whatever that poison was it was deadly even for him. That was when he decided to abandon his team and run after its source.

If the first layer became filled with poison, no one would be able to enter the Domain and start the game which meant that his match with Sukuna would need to be moved to the second layer.

'The players already got the guardian of the first layer and are moving to the second layer... there is no guarantee that they will clear it before Sukuna enters the game. ' That was Kashimo's line of thought.

He wanted to fight one on one with Sukuna and since the second layer was too hot for now that meant it needed to happen on the first layer. 'Let's hope this is not a byproduct of the Domain.'

Kashimo spent a good ten minutes tracking down the poison but with no success. By the time he was starting to doubt whether he should continue with his plan, the poison was already so strong that even he was being affected by it.

'It should be close now. ' Kahimo thought as he turned a corner and opened a door. He immedially covered himself in cursed energy when he saw three players just standing there.

This was Team Lance who had remained in the same room when they started the game.

Lance, the special grade born from fear of nuclear weapons, was spreading out a deadly poison through the whole first layer. The goal? It was simple, once he got the poison to a certain level he could simply move to the second layer and release it, killing every single jujutsu sorcerer who could not defend themselves against it.

The only downside to his technique was the time it took to perfect the poison. He needed to remain still for several minutes and he also needed to expel anything extra that he accumulated on his body. That was what brought Kashimo to him in the first place.

Veth, the other member who symbolized the fear of violence, also had a similar technique. It allowed him to gain strength from the cursed energy used in combat whether it was his or anyone else's. His strategy was to just hang out in the layer where most of the fights were going on until he grew in power and could overwhelm the guardians.

"I don't know what the hell you curses think you are doing here, but you're gonna move on to the second layer right now. " Kashimo said while he pointed his finger at the floating ball in the middle of the room.

Lance blinked before turning to Kashimo. "I thought we were on the same side, human. Is this a double-crossing? " The curse asked. Lance believed that Geto's group worked like that, an actual group.

Kashimo showed him otherwise. "I don't care what you think this is. Either you go to the second layer or you die." Kashimo said as his hair spiked thanks to his cursed energy special propriety, the ability to create lighting.

Veth shook his head as he walked in between both of them. "Keep producing the poison, Lance. I'll handle this." He said as he brought out his mantis claws ripping his arms in half and leaving it flapping around.

Veth was a humanoid curse, although he didn't have a human face like Mahito's. He had a human-like mouth, but the upper part of his face was fused with a hard shell-like object that protected him from head to toe. His arms were actually fake since it was used only to store his mantis claws that he used to fight.

"You asked for this. " Kashimo said as he got in his stance.
