"I can't thank you enough for speaking to my class today. I know you must have your hands full at the castle."

"On the contrary, Miss Granger, since relinquishing my responsibilities of the college to Headmaster Garth, the children have been a pleasant reprieve this term." Minerva McGonagall chimed.

The Hogwarts School Headmistress had offered to speak to Hermione's Enchantments class as her expert this term. Overall, the class had been quite excited to hear what the leading expert in Transfigurations had to say, but Hermione was just happy to have her around again. She had missed her mentor dearly.

"I see the Headmaster took my advice about the changes, how are you enjoying the term?"

"Your advice?" Hermione gawked at McGonagall.

"Certainly, I thought the staff had become a bit comfortable." Hermione couldn't be sure, but she surmised that perhaps McGonagall was gloating.

"I thought it was an excellent idea, until I learned that the quidditch instructors were exempt," Hermione grumbled. She didn't dare complain about her own experience as she had in fact begun to enjoy her Astronomy course.

"Exempt, you say? Ha, we'll see about that." The familiar sinister smile appeared on her face and Hermione laughed.
