Los Angeles airport

David Kensington arrived at the airport and made his way through the gate, he felt nervous without his gun but he knew he couldn't make it through the security check with it. The security guard barely looked at him as he went through the metal detector.

He smiled to himself as he walked past all of the security checks the disguise was working. He walked to the gate while unknown to him he was being watched by several FBI agents.

Victoria and Emma had hidden in a security room right next to the gate because they didn't want to alert David to their presence. The terminal was crowded and they wanted to arrest him without any innocent bystanders getting hurt.

David calmly sat down and pulled out his newspaper and pretended to read it as he watched the crowd for anything out of the ordinary. After an hour he made his way to the men's room and checked to make sure the gun was there, he went into one of the stalls and he found it hidden under the toilet. He pulled off the gun and put it in his pocket.

Killian was about to go into the restroom to see what happened to him but before he could a custodian put up the sign saying the restroom was closed for cleaning.

David came out of the stall and noticed the custodian starting to mop the floor and he hurried around him.

Killian followed David over to the seating area and sat a few seats away from him. Victoria spoke to Killian through his earpiece she told him to go and check the restroom she wanted to make sure David hadn't gotten a gun somehow before they closed in on him.

Killian got up and the custodian was just removing the sign as the agent went in. The custodian made his way through the crowd as the gate attendant announced that they would now begin boarding the plane. He started cleaning up the area two rows behind David Kensington.

Killian checked the stalls and the trash bins to make sure there were not any discarded plastic bags or tape. He removed the toilet tops and then in the last stall he saw gray tape. He ran toward the entrance and spoke to Victoria. "Chief there's a piece of gray tape…" he said softly as his eyes scanned the crowd finding David.

"He's got a gun or something worse…everyone hold do not move on the subject I repeat do not move on the subject. He may have a gun." Victoria announced to all of her agents.

"We will now begin boarding rows 1-15." The gate attendant's voice announced over the PA system.

"Victoria, we can't let him get away he can tell us if Leighton is telling the truth about Cambias." Emma knew the urgency of the situation.

Victoria stood and watched as the head of Airport Security was becoming more nervous. "Agent Tremaine, I'm going to evacuate…" he held up his walkie talkie and started talking when Victoria put her hand over it.

"No if you do that, he will start shooting because he will know we are on to him…Killian you and Mulan move in closer to him, both of his hands are out of his pockets."

She and Emma watched as the two agents made their way near to David, who still had no idea he was being watched.

"What row number is his again?" Emma asked.

"Row 28 we have one more announcement before his is called." Victoria said.

Killian got closer and only had one more row when David noticed him and they both looked into each other's eyes as David pulled out the gun so that the agent could see it. Killian froze in place and sat down in a chair just watching, nothing being said, no sounds but the normal ones you would hear in a terminal when boarding a plane.

A second had passed and before Victoria could give another order gun shots and a loud bang could be heard as panic ensued. Smoke filled the terminal as the passengers ran screaming.

David looked around as was bewildered by the smoke and then through the chaos he heard someone whistling, the tune was something from his past, one that he and his protector would whistle and sing while playing out in the woods when they were younger.

The custodian had thrown a smoke bomb as soon as he saw that Killian had gotten close and that David had seen him. Through the chaos that arose he stood there and began to whistle the familiar tune. He saw the recognition in David's eyes as he turned to search for the source of the sound.

Emma and Victoria ran out of the control room and made their way through the crowd as they went screaming and running out of the terminal. Emma saw Killian and Mulan go after David as shots rang out.

Passengers were screaming and shouting as more shots were fired. Victoria and the Head of Airport security were yelling for everyone to get down. Emma made her way closer to where David was, he turned toward her and Killian was by his side as he fell to the floor.

"He's been shot!" Killian yelled "We need a medic!"

Victoria and Emma were at his side, David grabbed Emma's jacket and pulled her closer to him. "It's going to be ok we're going to get you some help David…just hold on." She told him as she applied pressure to one of his wounds.

David had been shot twice in the chest and twice in the stomach; the young agent knew he didn't have a chance.

She looked at him with sadness in her eyes causing her to almost feel sorry for him; his eyes were that of a frightened child. "I …I'm sorry…" he said in a voice barely audible.

"David is Michael Cambias involved with all of the deaths and the attempted murders?" Emma asked in a soft caring voice.

His eyes scanned the crowd and they locked on the man who had just shot him and then he looked back to the beautiful young woman before him. "My protector…" he coughed up blood as his time drew near. "You'll never get him…my…my protector is…is…c…caa…" he pointed as the light went from his eyes.

"David…David…we'll never get who? Who is your protector? David!" Emma checked for a pulse; her hands bloody as she looked into the crowd which was still in chaos.

She noticed the custodian walking away and as he made his way through the crowd he turned when he was far enough away and winked at her through his rose-colored glasses.

"Mulan the custodian…don't let him get away!" Emma yelled at her colleague as she pointed to where he was disappearing into the crowd.

Airport security had begun taking control over the crowd and people were being rushed out emergency exits. The custodian ran out of the terminal with the crowd but Mulan was following him.

Emma wiped her hands on a towel as the medics arrived and then went after Mulan, Killian followed her as well. The blonde scanned the crowd and found the other woman agent. "There!" she pointed and both she and Killian ran down the stairs as the custodian began firing more shots above the passenger's heads.

The man in disguise weaved in and out of the crowd and then ran across the tarmac; he turned to fire upon the agents as they drew closer. He grabbed a baggage handler and threw him out of his cart in which he got in and took off.

Emma and Killian had caught up with Mulan and were steadily gaining on the custodian, who hi-jacked a luggage cart. They wanted to fire their weapons but there were other employees near where he stole the cart.

Killian saw a truck and commandeered it from the airline employee, he yelled at Mulan and Emma who both jumped in back as he sped off after the custodian.

The truck caught up with the baggage cart which was actually driving out onto the runways causing planes to swerve or stop as suddenly as they could. The tower had halted all activity and given the order that no planes were to taxi or land, all of the aircraft were to stop where they were.

The custodian shot at the truck as it pulled near, he took aim at the driver and the bullet cracked through the front windshield as Killian ducked.

Emma leaned over the side and fired her weapon but the cart swerved away just as she shot. The custodian used the baggage carts to swerve into the truck like a whip knocking Emma and Mulan off balance as they fired their guns.

The man in disguise saw the gate across the last runway and he sped up to get to it where there was a car waiting on the other side.

Killian saw the car too and he tried to ram the cart before it reached the gate. They raced as Mulan and Emma fired upon the baggage cart. Emma fired again and thought she had winged him but wasn't sure.

Both vehicles approached the gate and the custodian pushed down on the accelerator and swerved in front of the truck at the last second, he bailed out before the two vehicles collided. He rolled on the ground and ran for the gate which he unlocked with a remote control. He opened and re-locked it and then got into the car and sped off.

Killian tried to avoid the baggage cart but he couldn't and hit it as the impact forced the truck to catch one of the carts causing the truck to catch air and roll over on its side. It skidded along on its side before it came to a stop by crashing into the side of a hanger and on the other side was a fuel tank.

Emma and Mulan had jumped clear as the truck hit the cart but Killian didn't have time to get out because he was knocked unconscious by the impact of the rollover. Both women agents rushed to the truck.

"Hurry its leaking gas!" Mulan yelled as they went to the front of the truck.

Killian was still unconscious and Emma kicked in the front windshield and grabbed his limp body from the wreckage. Mulan was by her side and they dragged him out and as they were almost to a safe distance the truck exploded into a ball of fire knocking both agents off their feet from the force.

Emma heard the sirens and looked up in a daze through the black smoke and saw the flashing lights getting closer. She slowly pushed herself up from the ground, coughing she crawled over to Killian and checked for a pulse.

Mulan was also dazed and confused as she made her way over to where Killian and Emma were she noticed the blonde was checking for a pulse and then their eyes met as Mulan sat by his side.

"I can't find a pulse…" Emma's tone was slightly panicked.

"Let me try…" Mulan pressed her fingers to his neck and then checked his wrist. "We need to start CPR. We'll switch doing compressions…ready"

Emma nodded and they started CPR as the ambulance drove up. "Hurry we can't find a pulse!" she yelled back.

The firemen and medics took over the scene and began working on Killian immediately.

Robert Gold who was disguised in a custodial uniform sat in the back of the car and winced as he looked at his shoulder which was bleeding. "Damn that bitch!"

"Careful Robert, that's no way to talk about Agent Swan." The man who sat in front of him said.

They heard the explosion and both men turned to look back as they saw the fire and black smoke plume into the sky.

"You had better hope no one got hurt Robert…"

"It would serve her right if she was in that explosion…" he cried out in pain as the man reached across and stuck his thumb inside the bullet hole with pressure.

"Do not say another word or I will leave you on the side of the road to die like the pathetic animal you are. She will not die at your hand do you understand me?" he said in an ice-cold tone. He released the shoulder and wiped his hands clean with a handkerchief he removed from his suit pocket. "I am not David so do not delude yourself into the illusion that you can manipulate me as you did him."

"Don't threaten me I can still let her know your dirty little secret." Robert said as the pain in his shoulder grew. "Now take me somewhere to get this fixed."

"Robert if you continue to threaten me, I will be forced to kill you and trust me when I say I can and will at any given moment in time." The man smiled and stared hard into Robert's eyes. "Driver take us to the arranged address…" he held Roberts stare "I have someone there that can patch you up."

Robert's resolve flinched and he looked away. "That will be just fine…"

The rest of the trip was in silence.
