Chapter 59 Celebrating Without You

Ichika's POV

I woke up one morning…and felt a bit sad when I remembered what day it was.

"Ichi-Chan", I heard a familiar voice say.

I then sat up in my bed, and I saw the rest of my band.

"Ichi-Chan", Saki started. "Happy birthday!"

"Happy birthday", Honami and Shiho said.

"Thank you, everyone", I said.

Then…I sighed sadly.

"That's wrong, Ichika-Chan", Honami asked before grabbing onto my hands.

"It's nothing", I replied. "I'm just…missing Tsukasa even more than usual today, that's all."

After I said this…Saki suddenly tackled me into a big hug!

"Don't you worry, Ichi-Chan", she said, before pulling away from me. "We're gonna make sure that have a great birthday! After all, you're eighteen now!"

"Saki-Chan's right", Honami agreed. "Plus, I'm sure Tsukasa-San wouldn't want you to be sad on your birthday."

After Saki said this, I shook my head before giving my friends a smile.

"You're right", I said. "I'm sorry for being a downer."

"It's okay, Ichi-Chan", Saki reassured me. "I understand."

After Saki said this, she grabbed onto my hand and pulled me out of my bed.

"Now come on", she started. "We've got rehearsal to get to, and then we'll spend the afternoon doing whatever you want!"

That Afternoon

After rehearsal, I decided to spend the afternoon in Sekai. After all, we hadn't been there since we started our tour.

"Miku-Chan", Saki greeted as she rushed into the classroom. "Luka-San, We're here!"

"Ah", Luka started. "Hello girls. Long time, no see."

"I'm so sorry it's been so long since we've last visited", Honami apologized. "We've just been so busy while on tour."

"There's no need to apologize", Miku reassured us. "We understand."

"And speaking of your tour", Luka started. "I want you girls to tell us all about how it's been going so far!"

"But before that", Miku started. "There's something we need to say."

"Right", Luka started. "Ichika, happy birthday!"

"Happy birthday", Miku said as well.

"Thank you both so much", I said. "Um…before we tell you about our tour, would it be okay if we sang together first?"

"Of course", Miku replied. "I always enjoy singing with you, Ichika."

That Night

After spending the rest of the day in Sekai, we returned to the real world for our show; which had just reached its end.

"Thank you so much, everybody", I said as I finished our last song. "Your support means so much to us!"

"Now", Saki started, before leaving her keyboard and walking up to me. "Before we end the show, we have one last special performance."

"We do", I asked in confusion.

"Yes", Saki replied. "As some of you may know, today is Ichi-Chan's birthday! So, to celebrate, we have some special guests here to perform a song for her!"

"We do", I asked in shock. "Who are they?"

Saki didn't say anything, and just gave me an excited smirk instead.

"Alright guys", she started. "You can come onto the stage now!"

With that, four people came onto the stage; four people I knew well.

They were…Minori, Kohane, Kanade, and…

"Tsukasa."
