Several weeks. Several weeks have passed ever since we've been lost in the fog.
We've been stranded for days, nowhere to rest or nothing to eat unless berries.
Oakley is seen walking around the area, with the rest of the remaining team members following her lead. Her eyes gazed upon a few trees, but again, it wasn't the same location they were hoping to go through.
The weather became foggy once again, and tracks are no longer visible. All we have to do right now is..take which path is the safest.
Spending a few weeks out here walking through dangerous paths led us to starvation; including weakness from the lack of food.
Oakley has a few visible ribs around her waist, including Adir; but much worse. He was already starving; and his ribcage can be visible around his entire upper torso.
Hungry. Sleepless. Nothing to eat. Nowhere to rest. We're starving, tired, and weak. As Team Blytz, we never give up, and never will.
We spent the rest of our days with no food stored in our bags, or no sleeping areas anywhere. As a leader, it makes it more difficult to lead a few weak teammates in such horrible days.
Penny's legs were clammy, and she was on the verge of passing out. Just as she was about to fall onto the ground, Oakley quickly picks her up by the scruff of her neck.
As a leader of Team Blytz, we... We don't know how much longer we're going to last, especially in horrible conditions..
Nightfall. Oakley and her team were out in the open fields, their bodies motionless but thankfully not broken. Adir however, was laying on the ground back-first, his breathing hitched, and he was already too weak enough to get up. For Penny, she was resting beside Oakley, alongside Vivian.
Thankfully Adir is a few meters away from Oakley, but she started to worry if he was still alright. Staring at the night sky, the Boltund soon averts her eyes back at the resting Snubbull, then back at Vivian. As she was about to go back to her nightwatch, she then heard a response coming out from the bulldog.
"Oakley, when do we get to head back home?" Asked the weak Snubbull, too tried to move an inch.
"We can't.. We're not going back unless stated otherwise." Oakley let out a sad sigh. "As Arceus said to Lunala, Always find a way and find a way back."
Penny exhaled as she finished hearing Oakley's sentence. "Wonder if... Wonder if I could see my family again."
The shiny animal never explicitly stated who Penny's real parents were, but until now, this led Oakley to some thinking. "Your..family?"
"Yes, Oakley. My family. My...My Mom was a Granbull and my Dad was a..he was Stoutland."
The Boltund thought for a moment. "Did any of those Sneasels kill them?"
"No, but I never got to see them for a while.."
Oakley turned to the Sneasel who was resting beside her, then back at the shiny bulldog. "Maybe when we come back, there's a chance we'll see your family..for the first time."
"It's gotta be that one Griff guy who hires someone to kill our family.." Growled the shiny bulldog as she laid beside the Boltund. "If I ever seem him I might have to snap his neck off."
"Maybe one day we'll get our revenge..for real this time.." Responded Oakley, laying her head against the sandy floor. "And I sure hope Griff dies.."
"Instant karma for trying to kill Viv." Penny let out a slight chuckle. "Besides, we weren't so weak right now we would've came back and killed him!"
"Penny, I'm not sure if this is going to happen, but when he leaves, he vows to come back for us..one day."
The bulldog let out a relieved sigh. "If that happens, then we're saved for now."
Before Oakley could say anything else, she soon paused to find Penny, already sleeping beside her. "Hope you get enough, Penny."
"Remember..we're friends.."
"Oakley.."
"Oakley..come with me.."
The Boltund woke up to find herself still with her friends, already resting beside her. However, the temperature became..different. No hot weather, no rain, just cooler temperatures to help from heat exhaustion.
"Oakley, come with me.."
The Boltund jolted as she continued to hear noises that reverberated across the desert. Turning around to make sure she wasn't hallucinating, the electric dog placed a paw against Penny's back in attempt to wake her up. "Penny! Wake up! It's not hot out here anymore!"
"Not now, Oakley..too dark outside.."
That was the only response she was given. Letting out an annoyed sigh, the Boltund soon gets up from the ground, leaving the rest of Team Blytz behind. She stopped to turn back at Penny, who is now resting beside Vivian. Squeezing her eyes shut, she then continues to walk away from where her teammates are resting.
"Peace awaits, Oakley.."
These were the noises that reverberated across the desert. Oakley growled and soon positioned herself for battle. "WHOEVER YOU ARE, I'LL WILD CHARGE AT YOU-"
"Peace awaits, Oakley. No more pain to endure once more."
Oakley turned around to find what appeared to be some gigantic bat-like creature. From a mile away, it was standing by the cliffside. "Come, Oakley.."
It was a Lunala, waiting for Oakley to come by it anytime now. Without any choice, Oakley nodded and proceeded to walk over to where the bat-ghost was standing. As soon as she got closer, here eyes quickly averted directly to Lunala's, its expression stayed neutral and blank.
"Lunala.." Oakley gasped in awe as she stared at the space bat's blank expression. It didn't move its mouth, but the only way to communicate was by telekinesis. "Lunala, w-what brings you here?"
The space bat nodded its head in agreement. "Oakley, the reason why I brought you here is a memory us Pokemon came up with many seasons ago.."
"L-Lunala, we're still at the desert. What do you mean you brought me here for a memory?"
"Dear Oakley, close you eyes and you'll feel yourself home once again.."
The Boltund closed her eyes shut, and she kept her postion still as the Lunala began to talk.
"Many generations ago, dark and light wars never existed. To Lunala and Solgaleo, we never made a kingdom until then. Years later, both kingdoms were led to wars, thus creating a discrimination between dark and light type Pokemon."
Oakley kept her eyes shut.
"Us Pokemon were very friendly back then, and we lived in a glorious life without any pain or stress."
Oakley still kept her eyes closed as the Lunala continued talking.
"Before the war spreaded across each area, Dark-types and Villagers; known as Light-types, had a friendship between each other."
"Alas, a Sneasel kidnaps a Lillipup, leading to war between Light and Dark."
Oakley didn't want to open her eyes. Instead, she continued to keep them shut.
"You may open."
As the Boltund opens her eyes, she lets out a yelp as she was isolated into a jet black void. "UHH, LUNALA! THIS ISN'T WHAT I MEANT BY NO MORE PAIN!"
She kept her postion still, but thinking she was falling, she was actually floating. Turning around to make sure she wasn't falling into the ground, she darts her eyes over to the floating space bat in front of her, staring at the Boltund's once-distressed expression. "Lunala, I-"
"No more pain to endure, dear Oakley."
She opened her mouth to talk, but she was soon cut off as continuous replies of, "Oakley" reverberate across the void. "Lunala, please!"
"Oakley.."
"Oakley.."
"OAKLEY!"
The yell made the Boltund jump. Turning around to make sure the Lunala isn't around, she then finds Penny waving her arm in front of her. "Oakley! Wake up! Someone's out there!"
"L-Lunala?" Asked the Boltund as she runs over to the shadowy figure that resembles the Moon Pokemon at first, but as the leader gets closer, it turns out it's a Swoobat, sitting onto a branch from a dead tree. "Oh, I thought you we're a god."
"First, Arceus is the one who brings victims up in the skies." Said the bat as it finally landed onto the ground, staring at Oakley's annoyed expression. "Second, I'm not a Lunala."
"Uh, Mr..Miss..Swoobat- Whatever pronoun you go by-" Vivian started, only for the Swoobat to shush her with its wing.
Then it answered, "Miss..Swoobat if you want to call me by that."
"Miss..Swoobat. Is there a way you could lead us somewhere safe?" Asked Oakley as she backed away from the bat Pokemon. "Besides, we haven't even ate in..days, and we're in a serious need of somewhere nice and comfortable."
The bat seconds later flaps her wings into the air, flying away from the dead tree she was standing on. "If you want to stay somewhere safe, I've got somewhere safe for you team members to stay in!"
"But, where? How are you gonna take us there?" Penny asked, confused about the bat's request.
"Just follow my lead!" Demanded the Swoobat before leading Team Blytz on her path. Oakley wasn't sure where the town the Swoobat mentioned was located, nor when is it first made, but once they all reached to the side of the cliff, something shocked them.
It was a large town the Swoobat mentioned earlier! Much like a desert town, but it was awfully larger than most villages. "Here we are! La Desierto!"
"Is that the only name they could come up with?" Asked the shiny bulldog, about to fall off the cliff before the Boltund quickly grabs her by the scruff of her neck, saving her from falling to her "death".
"You bet!" The bat Pokemon responded enthusiastically, only for her tone to grow sharp and stern. "But you gotta be more careful. I'm not sure if they allow outcasts."
"How'd you know Vivian's an outcast?" Oakley's realization left the Swoobat in bewilderment for a few moments. "She's an outcast, we're explorers!"
"But you don't even look like explorers to me. Kinda like..misfits!"
"You know you're making this worse.."
"Now, now. Let's not fight already." The Boltund stopped both the Snubbull and the Swoobat from fighting once more. "Look, if we can't get into this town soon enough, we might have to end up staying here in this desert for long."
With nods of response, they soon headed down to where they could finally see what the town looks like; a town with several buildings. It was like an old town in the real world; except bigger and prettier than usual. It was filled with a few explorer posts, friendly villagers, and larger architects that resemble motels and gambling houses for Poke.
"So that's what it looks like.." Oakley said with awe. "GUYS, THIS IS EVEN BETTER THAN SNOWFALL!"
"Dude, you're saying this is better than Snowfall. Look at this place! Hot weather, no snow, not even a drop of rain." Adir curled his face into a snarl as he looked up into the sky. "Plus, it's already better like Snowfall."
"But there are gambling houses for Poke! We can't honestly do that right now, But we'll make this up for all the walking we've did earlier!"
"Making up for what costs us, I'm with you." The shiny Tyrogue let out a hearty chuckle as he patted Oakley on her back. "Let's see if they actually let Vivian in for now."
"Yes, we allow Sneasels like Vivian here.."
"GUYS! VIVIAN'S ALLOWED! WE'RE SAFE NOW!" Oakley cheered as she proceeded to hug her Sneasel friend. "No need for pesky old rules!"
"Dude, Vivian's still an outcast, but as friendly as her, we can't believe they actually allow outcasts like her in this town!" Adir spoke before letting out a slight chuckle.
"Well, as long as they're not thieves, they actually let outcasts in there!"
Oakley soon wrote down the remaining information on the clipboard, before offering it back to the Decidueye. "And done!"
The shiny Snubbull gazes her eyes upon a few casino games she'd never seen before. Slot machines, pool tables, even a hangout room as well. "Casino games..FOR POKE-"
"Penny, we have no time for slot games right now. We gotta eat, then rest. We can't just spend our time in the snooker room starving and tiring ourselves to death." Oakley spoke, her voice flat and sharp.
"Whatever. Who actually needs to gamble for Poke anyway?"
Once they all ate, they soon headed into their room. Unlike the same room in the Onsen, the beds appear to be different. Quilted blankets, fluffy pillows, a desk, and in a slightly smaller room. "So..this is the room we're staying in."
"I believe so." Said the Snubbull as she hopped onto one of the beds. "Plus, it's a lot more comfortable now!"
Adir sat down to test out one of the beds in the motel room, and Penny's right. They are really comfortable compared to the ones at the Onsen. "Yeah, they're really comfortable."
"We haven't slept on a real bed like this in a while!" Oakley laughed as she began to lay down. "But we only have two beds so two of us are gonna have to share."
"And there's no T.V, so we can't really watch anything on here."
Adir opened his mouth to talk, but he paused as he watched the Snubbull hop onto his bed. "Oakley says I gotta share so I hope you don't mind."
"It's fine, Penny. Just don't sleep on the floor though. It's not really comfortable."
"Plus, we didn't even bring a sleeping bag, so Penny's gotta share Adir's bed." Said the Boltund as a matter of fact. She then noticed Vivian hopping onto the bed before laying beside her. "And Vivian's sharing my bed so.."
"Well, goodnight guys. Get some rest before a new day." Yawned the Snubbull before she closed her eyes, and fell asleep soon after.
A few moments after, the rest of Team Blytz fell asleep, all on their comfortable beds.
