TL;DR: Don't be a note: this is my first ever fanfic I made so expect it to be very bad + grammar errors since English is not my first language, but that's a bad excuse so I am going to try and make it less noticeable or remove it. *TIME SKIP: 42 years**3rd Pov*
A handsome tall blond man was standing on a big stone head, watching over a middle sized town with a smile. The man turned his head to look back as somebody was walking towards him. "So Minato-boy, how is it to be Hokage now?" asked the older man of the pair. The now identified Minato couldn't help but sigh and say, "Lord 3rd, it is good to see you, but I can't believe it, it's really so surreal. I still can't get used to the fact that people call me Yondaime. And the paperwork is so much, I can hardly believe you did this for more than 35 years in a row." The elderly man couldn't help but sigh at the depressed expression on Minato's face when he talked about the paperwork that comes with the job. Then the third hokage began to speak again. "Minato, you will get used to it after some time. And please, call me Hiruzen now, you're the hokage, not me. Also, don't complain to me about paperwork. You have all the paperwork finished within 3 hours, while it would take me a half day to do it all. You are a better hokage than me already, and the village will go into a new era of growth and economics under your leadership." The former hokage Hiruzen said. After Hiruzen said this they enter a comfortable silence looking over the village they protect and live in. After just a few hours of small talk and meditating over the village they noticed it was getting dark, and it was time for dinner so they said their goodbyes to each other and left for their respective homes.
When Minato reached home he couldn't help but sigh as he saw his beautiful wife Kushina asleep with her arms crossed and her head laying on the table. He walked silently to the basket where they store the blankets and picked one up and laid it on her shoulders. When he was about to go upstairs to sleep, he heard grumbling and turned his head back as he saw his wife slowly rising. "Minato?" asked Kushina, but before he could respond his wife's face suddenly went green and she ran past him to the toilet. He quickly walked to the toilet and heard her puking as he knocked on the door and asked to come in. When he walked in he moved her hair out of the way and rubbed her back. When Kushina finally stopped puking he began asking questions. "Kushina what is wrong did the ramen upset your stomach?" Kushina began to answer. "No Mina-chan, it's part of the reason why I waited so long for you." As she gave out a deep sigh Minato couldn't help but worry more for his wife's health. As Kushina began to speak she couldn't help but smile "Minato I am going to be a mother." As it began to process in Minato's head he couldn't stop himself from grinning like an idiot as he says, "I am going to be a father." He repeated that constantly and he started losing his control, causing him to begin to flare his chakra to over 3 times the size of Konoha. He hiraishined everywhere in the village screaming out in happiness that he is becoming a father. Back at their home Kushina couldn't help but chuckle at his happiness and went to clean herself up.
*TIME SKIP: The Next Day**Minato POV*
I was looking forward to seeing a specific person with cold eyes. I was formulating a plan to protect Kushina and my future child at all costs. I knew I wouldn't be there 24/7, so I needed to ask someone else for help. Suddenly I got an idea. Kakashi would be perfect for this. He is strong and it would help him create a bond with the child, one that will slowly help cure his depression. He isn't the same since Rin and Obito died in the 3rd war, and the ANBU isn't helping his mental state any. Once I worked out the kinks in the plan, I began to flare a little bit of my chakra in a sequence that would activate Kakashi's ANBU mark. I didn't have to wait for more than 5 seconds before I began to sense the chakra of Kakashi building up. When Kakashi finally appeared, I ordered him to take off his ANBU mask. "Kakashi I need you for a S-rank mission." I stated. Kakashi then asked, "What is the mission, and how long will it be expected to take Hokage-sama?" I let out a sigh when he called me Hokage-sama. I began to speak again, "Kakashi you don't have to call me hokage-sama, I was your jounin-sensei, you could call me sensei or Minato even, but putting aside that matter the mission is a highly classified secret as it could potentially start the 4th great ninja war.'' When I was finished speaking I could only watch in amusement as I saw Kakashi's lone eye grow bigger than what should be humanly possible, and saw him have a few sweat droplets on his visible part of his face.
I waited on explaining the mission further to create a dramatic tension in Kakashi. After a few minutes to let it sink in properly, I began further explaining the mission. "The S-rank mission has a duration of 10 months. The goal is to protect Kushina and the unborn baby she is carrying from all dangers, as I will not always be by her side to protect her." As I finished I saw Kakashi's lone eye widen once again as he realized I was becoming a father. "Congratulations on becoming a father, sensei."
