Disclaimer: DarthGladiator45 created this idea that Mara and Anakin have a bond as well as Mara and Han. The story this was inspired from is called 'Skywalker Family'. I will be using their idea and creating my own twist to it. I wanted to make sure to give them credit for coming up with this idea. I HIGHLY recommend reading their stories. It actually was the reason I started my fanfiction journey. I also clearly do not own Star Wars, even though I would love to have come up with that idea.

Author's Note: Welcome back, thank you for your patience. I graduated college a week or so ago and I am able to dedicate some time into writing again (Written back in May). I started writing this chapter and then life got in the way again. I want to make sure all of you know that I will be continuing everything that I have started. I adore writing this story and continue to put out chapters as soon as I can. I am hoping to make them longer and more indepth.
Chapter Six
Tatooine…
Obi-Wan and Luke walked into Mos Eisley Spaceport where they had eyes on them immediately, pictures flashing, too much attention was on them. It was not expected and not normal. Obi-Wan and Luke are wearing tan Jedi robes with only their light sabers on their belt. Luke was confused.
"Master, why is everyone looking at us?"
"I have no idea." Obi-Wan shrugged as they walked to Jabba's palace. A few moments later, they walked up to Jabba's door. "Please Luke, let me do the talking." Luke nodded. Obi-Wan knocked on the door. TT-8L/T7 came out of the door, looked up and down at Obi-Wan and Luke and opened the door. They walked in and walked up to Jabba. Jabba looked at them. Jabba spoke Tutnese as his protocol droid translated.
"Master Jedi, Storm Jeraska has been stealing my information as well as my spice. He has been selling it behind my back to the Black Sun. Please capture him and bring him to me. The rancor is quite hungry." Jabba demanded. Luke and Obi-Wan nodded.
"Do you have any leads?" Obi-Wan asked
"Last time I saw Storm, I sent him to the Dune Sea to settle a debt in my favor. I haven't seen him in many days, but most of my spice is gone. He will die for this." Jabba spoke angerly.
"Thank you, we will find him for you. I must say that the Jedi Council will be able to prosecute him. I believe that would be a better option for you." Obi-Wan gently pushed, Jabba thought for a second.
"Bring Storm to me. I will not deal with any of this Jedi business any longer." Obi-Wan nodded and left with Luke
Outside of Jabba's Palace…
"Master, why are we doing a job that a bounty hunter should be doing?" Luke asked.
"Well, the Council wants connections with Jabba under the Senate's orders, so they are able to take the spice away and get rid of it. No one should be on spice. The Senate and the Jedi Council are attempting to regulate it. The number of young children on Coruscant addicted to spice is ridiculous, and if we keep Jabba under our wing, then everything can move smoothly." Obi-Wan explained
"I understand that, but I feel like this isn't our job. I feel like we should be doing something more important." Luke frowned. Obi-Wan stopped dead in his tracks and turned to Luke.
"Everything we do is important. Even the smallest job is important because we are helping a lot of people. Please keep that in mind." Obi-Wan lectured a little disappointed in Luke. Luke picked up that disappointment and decided to contemplate it. He was going to put his best foot forward at this job. No matter how stupid he felt like it is.
The Dune Sea is extra warm today, as the two suns beat down on Obi-Wan and Luke, thankfully the speeder that they are riding on creates a little breeze. Luke soon realizes why his dad wanted to leave this planet. It was nothing like Naboo, or even Coruscant for that matter. Tatooine is desolate and Luke felt alone, but he also noted that he felt that a part of him lays on this planet. He felt pain, he closed his eyes as Obi-Wan drove the speeder. Luke felt a lot of pain and heard the cries of Sandpeople being killed, even the women and the children also. It brought Luke to tears. He opened his eyes.
"You feel that don't you? The past." Obi-Wan frowned
"Yes, I don't understand Master, why is there so much pain and loss? What happened here?"
Anakin rarely talked about his past to his children. His children are his light, and something that he wants to remain in, looking back at all of his mistakes only makes Anakin feel angry with himself, so he just doesn't talk about it. He only talks about Darth Vader when he comes up in dreams, or if the Twins ask. The Triplets do not have an understanding of what happened to their father, they are just too young and also Darth Vader doesn't seem to bother them as much as he does the Twins. Lola has little understanding of Darth Vader, as he has only appeared once to her. She carries that with her, but the mark that Darth Vader left is minuscule. Luke seems to be the one that is most effected by Darth Vader, and easily picks up his father's past. Leia sympathizes but doesn't understand as much as Luke would want.
"Well Luke, your dad was at the edge of the dark side on this planet. He came back here when he was around your age. He was in charge of protecting the senator, your mother, and she and him decided to come here because Anakin was having visions of his mother, your grandmother Shmi dying. Unfortunately, when he got here, he found that the sandpeople took her, beaten her to the brink of death. She was holding on only to die in your fathers' arms. That really effected Anakin and he was very angry. He took it out and a lot of lives were lost." Obi-Wan frowned and faced forward driving with a blank stare.
"I see." Luke was silent for a moment taking all of that in. He knew Darth Vader was dark, but he never had the understanding of the amount of pain his father felt. He was hoping that he would never have to feel that way. Obi-Wan picked up on that instantly.
"Luke do not fear the dark side. There's nothing to fear. Fearing it will only make that stronger in you. Let it go into the Force." Luke did as he was told. He opened up his connection with Leia that he didn't realize he closed off. He really misses Leia, but something has been off with her recently. She's been different, moodier. Obi-Wan cut off Luke's train of thought.
"Okay," he stops the speeder in the middle of the Dune Sea. "This is getting us nowhere" Obi-Wan thought for a moment. "Storm Jeraska." Luke stated plainly. Across the Sea, around 5 clicks east there is a settlement. They made their way there on foot. Past a few friendly Banthas that Luke couldn't help but pet.
"Be are guard Luke, he's got to be here somewhere." Obi-Wan whispered. The settlement looked like it was just built yesterday, something that Tatooine needed, but not something it was used to. In the middle of the settlement there was a large house that looked like it has 15 bedrooms in it.
"That must be it, house of a crime lord." Luke pointed to the large house.
"Let's go." Obi-Wan knocked on the door. A protocol droid answered the door. The droid was covered in black metal sheets. He answered to the name GH-5
"Welcome to Mount Jeraska, how would you like to pay your respects to Mr. Jeraska." GH-5 spoke flatly.
"We would like to have a word with…Mister Jeraska." Obi-Wan prompted. Luke followed Obi-Wan but stayed silent, it was better if he let his Master do the talking. Obi-Wan appreciated this because it was so different from Anakin who always wanted the last word.
"Do you have an appointment?" GH-5 asked.
"We do not need an appointment." Obi-Wan stated firmly. GH-5 moved his head.
"That goes against my programming." GH-5 mentioned.
"Well, when is the next appointment?" Obi-Wan breathed
"In about five minutes." GH-5 stated.
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes. "Could we seem him in five minutes?" He asked.
"Yes, please enter and sit here, the front desk will help you in a moment." When Obi-Wan and Luke walked in, there was marble lined head to toe the whole room. It was beautiful, but definitely only something that spice money could buy.
After about a half an hour Luke and Obi-Wan were called to the front desk.
"Mr. Jeraska is ready to see you, please follow me." The receptionist sung and walked down a marble stairway and down a hallway. They entered this room that is plated with what looked like gold. This man with dark green hair, and of Rodian decent is sitting in a large throne.
"What do two Jedi like yourselves have business here." Storm spoke in broken basic.
"We are here to settle some business that you have with Jabba the Hutt. If you would agree to come back to Jabba the Hutt's Palace, everything will go smoothly there." Obi-Wan nodded
"See, I have no intention of seeing Jabba." Storm laughed. "Why would two Jedi want to get into this"
"Please do not make this harder then it has to be Storm." Obi-Wan looked at Luke. Guns started firing as Storm gave a signal. Luke and Obi-Wan quickly disarmed everyone, only killing 2, the rest injured Storm on the other hand was dumbfounded.
"I am not going with two Jedi like you." Storm huffed and more men came out, this time, Storm wasn't as lucky. One of the guards missed Luke and hit Storm right in the head, taking his life. Obi-Wan and Luke disarmed everyone and told the receptionist to go home. They found the remining spice in Stormed thrown and packed it up with Storm's body in the speeder. They then zoomed off to Jabba's Palace.
