On the fifth day of Shawn's recovery he was starting to feel better. His throat still hurt but less now. He could eat solid food again He could also talk again. It was around lunch time. Sam and Shawn were sitting on the couch watching TV. Sam's phone rang.
"Hello?" He said. "Hi Lexie." "Ok." He handed the phone to Shawn. "It's your mom." He handed him the phone.
"Hi mom." Shawn said.
"Hi Shawn." She said. "How are you feeling?"
"Pretty good."
"Wanna have indoor movie night tonight?"
"Yeah." "Do you think the tent is big enough for Sam to?"
"Yeah " "I'm gonna go eat."
"Ok." "Want me to give the phone back to Sam?"
"Yeah." "I love you."
"I love you too." "Bye."
"Bye."
Shawn handed the phone back to Sam.
"Hi." He said. "Ok bye Lexie." They hung up.
"Why do you call mom Lexie?"
"It's just a nickname I gave her when we met and it stuck."
"Where did you meet?"
"Meadow Oaks Country Club." "I worked there." "She was a member."
"Did you like her right away?"
"Yes." "I thought she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen."
"Did it take you long to fall in love with her?"
"No." "It happened pretty quick."
"Do you still love her?"
"I'm hungry." "I'm gonna go make lunch." He got up and went into the kitchen.
Later that night Alexandria, Sam and Shawn were having indoor movie night. Which consisted of laying in a big tent in the living room, eating popcorn and watching movies.
Shawn had fallen asleep halfway through the movie. Alexandria and Sam were in the kitchen doing the dishes. She was washing and he was drying.
"Well I had fun for my first indoor movie night." Sam said.
"It's something I started when Shawn was about five."
"I've really enjoyed being here this week."
"I know."
"Shawn asked me a question today." "I didn't tell him the answer. "I'll tell you the answer."
"What was the question?"
"Do I- Alexandria's phone rang.
"Hello?" She said. "Hi Caleb." She went upstairs. Sam sighed frustrated.
