Lost In My Mind Day 15
Amethyst had started to calm more and level off a bit. She still didn't feel safe at school, but she was able to walk around Stark Industries now, instead of only staying in the penthouse. Damian and Christina got much closer to Amethyst during the two months that she was with them. Since they had official guardianship of her, they were able to act as her siblings. In all reality, they treated her more as their daughter. Damian was fiercely protective of his sister, and he spent a good deal of time with her. He was the first person she went to when she was scared. She went to Christina for advice and hugs. They both loved her very much. That's what Christina was thinking about when she suddenly had a major flashback.
Christina could hear the clicking of a pen. It was coming closer to her. She was sitting in the Head of Hydra's office for the fifth time that week. She had gone and healed Damian again without permission. Healing shouldn't be a bad thing, but at this place, it was. Every time she healed him, she had to be punished. The Head walked in and sat at her desk.
"Glacier, you know you aren't allowed to heal him without permission. He needs to learn by himself. You don't want to get in trouble again, do you?" The woman snarled.
"No ma'am, I don't, but he needs to be healed so he doesn't die. I don't care what you do to me, but I will heal him. You might not like it, but I don't care and someday I will destroy this base." Christina said, glaring at the woman for good measure.
"Then I have no choice but to punish you." The woman replied as the guards took Christina away. Christina was led down a corridor and towards a dark room. She was strapped down to a chair so she couldn't move. A man dressed entirely in black, save the white lab coat, walked in. He grabbed a tray and started poking Christina with needles. The drugs made her see weird things, and feel like hundreds of fire ants were crawling all over her. They experimented on her every time she healed Damian. When Damian found out, he made her teach him how to heal himself. Christina stopped getting into so much trouble, and she made good on her promise to the Lady. The facility was destroyed and burnt to the ground.
Christina started panicking, trying to escape the memory. She started running and ended up crashing into her dad. She didn't know it was him, and she was sure she was back at Hydra. Tony knew a panic attack and flashback when he saw one. He needed to bring her back to him, but he knew she wouldn't be able to hear him. So he called the only person he knew who could get her to listen, Damian.
"Damian, you need to get over here now." Tony told his almost completely Son-in-law. Damian looked up from his meeting, and bolted out the door. He ran with superspeed down the hall, and straight to where Tony was.
"What happened?" Damian asked him.
"She's stuck in a flashback and I can't get to her," Tony replied.
"Christina, can you hear me?" Damian asked.
"Damian, where are you?" Christina asked.
"Christina, whatever you're seeing right now isn't real, you aren't there, please come back to me, Ari!" Damian reached out to her with their bond. Christina reached back to him, and followed him back to the present. As soon as she realized she was safe, she hugged Damian for dear life and cried.
"I got lost in my mind and I couldn't get out," She gasped.
"Ari, you're safe now, okay? No one can hurt you here." Damian told her, using their bond to send calm and peace to her.
