Thanks V for the review!
Today I have a dance meet, and I'm excited but also nervous. Penny and I were going over the moves at her place so we would get it right. Penny's grandma watched with a smile on her face.
"You girls are so talented," she said as she drank her coffee.
"Thanks," Penny smiled, showing that one of her missing teeth was growing in.
"Make sure you girls are ready in the next few minutes; we've got to head out to the school here soon." We both nodded and grabbed our dance bags.
"Hey," Penny started. "Is Alex coming?" After I had apologized to Alex, he sat me down and explained to me more about his new job. He explained that he's an intern, and therefore he has to work more than a regular doctor. which means he sadly has to spend more time there. He still loves me and will try to go to dance meets, school events, etc. It's going to be hard, but we can get through it, he said.
"No, he isn't," I said as we headed to the front door. "He hopes to go to one soon, though; it depends on work."
"I get it. I sometimes wish my mother could come too."
"Where is your mom, Penny?" Penny stopped in her steps before we got in the van.
"I'm not sure." She climbed into the van. I looked at her as her face fell.
