"Hawks I don't know..." Mika looked up at the entrance to UA. She felt a knot in her stomach, fighting her anxiety.

"I'll be with you the whole time," he assured her, "while I didn't go into detail, I did kinda of allude to why getting you here might be an issue." He nudged her shoulder, "Hallie is here too."

Mika nodded slightly and pulled her jacket close to her body, "Fuck it." She let out a breath and walked through the entrance. Hawks smirked and followed close behind. He was proud she was challenging herself to work past her trauma, he would do what he had to, to be there for her.

Bakugo opened the door to the dorm halls since they didn't have a key card. His red eyes instantly landed on the winged hero, "You owe me."

"I know," he smiled back at the fellow blonde, "I didn't know who else to call."

He looked at Mika, "Come on." The followed him up the flights of stairs to the top floor, "You guys go to the other side, far away."

Mika chuckled, "Gladly, you cranky old man."

His eye twitched, "You're older than I am."

"In numbers," she walked down the hallway, "Your attitude screams get off my lawn."

Hawks laughed and walked down the hallway, "She's not wrong."

Mika looked around the large, apartment like room. It had two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a small living room and kitchen. The windows were pulled to, dark curtains concealing the campus. A hand touching her elbow made her jump slightly.

"Easy," Hawks tossed his bag aside and pulled her to him, "I promise, you're safe here."

She dropped her bag, taking a deep breath, "I believe you."

"Let's get some sleep," he reached over and locked the door, pulling her towards the bedroom. She quietly followed.

She settled into the sheets as strong arms wrapped around her, pulling her to him. Mika snuggled against him and closed her eyes, ignoring the dull ache in her hands, "What do you think they were after?"

"When I was a double agent, I kept a journal of sorts," he rested his chin on her head, " I wrote down what I could of the Leagues plans, even the ones they decided to scrap. I'm assuming they'd want it for some ideas."

"Where is it?"

"It's with us, safe," he closed his eyes.

Mika buried her face into his neck and closed her eyes, letting his warmth lull her to sleep.

Hawks opened his eyes, scanning around the room before he moved. Sure UA was proven to be safe, but, he wasn't exactly sure what security measures were like now, especially with two heroes in one place.

His eyes shifted to the clock, it was just past six thirty in the morning. Movement beneath him drew his attention to Mika. He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her temple, "I gotta go see Mr. Get off My Lawn. Will you be okay?"

Mika sleepily nodded, not opening her eyes, "Yeah."

He chuckled and reached over, grabbing his jacket and placing it over her, "Keep this safe for me."

Her hands gently gripped it, "I will."

When the bedroom door clicked, her eyes opened for a moment upon a book in the inside pocket. The journal, she thought. She carefully removed it from its pocket and looked it over. There were singe marks around the outside, the paper that was exposed was slightly burnt as well. The thought crossed her mind about opening it, but she refrained, putting it back into its place and pulling the jacket right around her, laying back down.

Tobi opened the door and looked up at the winged hero, "Hello Uncle Hawks."

Hawks smirked and ruffled his hair, "Hey kiddo. Can I come in?"

"Only if you pay the toll."

Hawks rolled his eyes and chuckled, "You drive a hard bargain," he plucked a red feather, "Do you know how hard these are to grow?"

Tobi grinned and took the feather. It had been their sea when Hawks visited years ago: he had to pay the toll.

"Tobi," Bakugo walked up behind his son, and looked at Hawks, "Go finish getting ready."

Hawks looked at the other hero, "Did you even sleep?"

"Barely," he opened the door, letting Hawks inside.

"If you need a break," he nodded towards where Tobi had run off to, "I'm not a complete idiot."

"I know," the blonde sighed, "It's just hard."

He knew what Bakugo meant. It's hard trusting someone with something so precious, especially given their circumstances. He refocused his mind and cleared his throat, "I have a feeling I know why they broke in."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, I have a journal I kept before the war. Any plans I was privy too, I wrote them down. Even the ones they decided not to follow."

"Where is it now?"

"It's here, with me." He watched as Tobi ran back in, "I hid it." He smirked down at Tobi, "Early morning training?"

The young boy smiled and nodded, "Yeah while Mommas still asleep."

"Smart," he looked at the explosive hero, "Get some rest today. We can discuss everything further another time."

Her grey eyes shot open when she heard the front door close and lock. Hawks was back. He came into the darkened room and removed the jacket from her, "Thank you."

She rolled on her back and nodded, "Of course. So what do we do from here?"

"I haven't decided yet," he sat on the bed and leaned back against the headboard, "We'll probably meet up with everyone later. Lemme see your hands."

Mika sat up onto her knees and held out her hands, "I had a thought."

"Let's hear it," he began to carefully unwrap the bandages.

"I feel like it's obvious, but, it seems like they are trying to get us into one place..."

He stopped what he was doing and looked at her, "How so?"

She felt out on the spot, "Well...you're going to tell me there were three punks and some thugs guarding a hero in the top ten who specializes in underground recon? Not to mention now they're hyper aware that Bakugo and Deku know what's happening. I'm sure they're aware of their family situations too..." she looked at him, "Hawks they're setting us up."
