"It's not like you won't get to see them almost daily," Brinald complained as Vane embraced One, then Two, and back to One again. "One, careful, can he breathe?" Brinald resisted the urge to pull his husband away from his… Husband. Two smirked though he was almost as anxious as Brinald to pull Vane from One's arms. The large man blushed backing away from his erstwhile employer.
"I don't regret getting on that ship with you Mr. Allen," One's near-whispered words tugged at Vane's heart as he sniffled. For days he had wallowed in guilt for pulling his two workers and what he now understood to be his only friends, away from earth and their families. "We never would have found each other otherwise." One whispered in Vane's ear. He turned to face Gran where she waited for them at the door.
Her small stature bristled with excitement. One and Two's few belongings had been moved to her home already. All that was left was for them to move into her home with her in Brinald's old room. Brinald would have said more, yet he heard the chime alerting him to an incoming screen. He saw the name and sighed hoping that it was not Doneld with another seeing for him. Brinald had not wanted to face the Seer after the things he had Seen involving his Gran and Kak. "I know we are late, we are on our way," Were the first words Brinald said as Doneld's face appeared on the screen.
"Hello Seer Brinald," Doneld spoke in his mellifluous baritone. "I was actually calling to let you know that The human Senator Ashfield is already in your office and would like to speak to you about the Seeing that you had in regards to his place in the Liason's office."
"And we are still on our way, thank you," Brinald confirmed ending the screen. He turned to hurry Vane along watching with appreciation at the flounce of his skirt. He did not know how it was possible, but Chulin's were made for Vane's ass.
Seer Doneld straitened his Chulin. He enjoyed the quiet of his office in the Seer's Hall. He saw the long, spring green locs of Lolen as the young Seer passed his door on the way to the hall of records. "Lolen," Doneld halted Lolen. "You seemed lost, Is everything alright?"
"Seer Doneld," Lolen inclined his head. It was a soft smile that turned up the corners of Lolen's lips. Doneld had always found the Seer pleasant. When he learned the focus of Lolen's gifts it had been a shock that one so sweet looking could handle such salacious views. His only fear was that if Lolen had been having Seeings not of his talent, then it could cause headaches or even prolonged burnout. "I am fine. Thank you for your concern. I just have a Seeing to report to the records."
"Have you informed all parties?" Doneld asked knowing that the Seer always performed his tasks, yet would feel derelict in his duties if he did not. Doneld paused as Lolen sighed and shook his head. Here Doneled ushered Lolen into his office shutting the door. "When you screened, did they not answer? Are they meeting you here? Did you leave a message?"
"There is no need," Lolen shook his head. "The Seeing involved me."
"Ah," Doneld smiled then having had the Seer witness his future. He had filed the forms and purchased additional bracelets just this morning. "And…"
"And?" Lolen glanced up at Doneld.
"It was Mr. Ashfield, correct?" Doneld nodded having witnessed the heated kisses before the human had returned to the hired car before Lolen had entered the building.
"Yes," Lolen answered with a sigh. He knew that Doneld was waiting for a reason for his not telling the other party involved of his Seeing. "Gold," Lolen spoke softly. "It's Gold." Lolen licked his lips as he could still feel the imprint of Elijah's upon them.
"You are wondering, if he weds you," Doneld went to his desk. He sat so as not to tower over the young Seer. "If it is because he loves you or if he simply does not want to insult our ways as he is a diplomat at heart." Lolen looked down at his hands folded in his lap. "I have found that the gods never give a Seeing if the emotions were not already there. I think he loves you and the Seeing was to let you know it." Lolen took a deep breath as he thought of the night before and the time he had spent with Elijah even before he had the Seeing. "I will make a bet with you," Doneld walked over to place a hand on Lolen's shoulder. "I will bet, that when you tell him, he already has bracelets." Lolen gasped at the thought "Congratulations," Lolen was smiling as he left the Elder Seer's office.
Jovi frowned as he caressed the red burn marks on Noah's wrists. " I wish you would not struggle so hard," Noah rolled his eyes at the complaint as it was the same thing the big idiot always said to him. Perhaps one day he would catch a clue and not restrain his hands. He glanced around their room where there were metal rings and pink scarves 'decorating' the interior of the freakishly pink room.
Noah wanted to complain, yet the post-orgasmic exhaustion tugged at his consciousness. Aside from a nap, there was nothing he needed to do for the next couple of hours. He recalled Grandpa asking him to go out with him this afternoon. "Not every time has to be bondage, you know that right?" Noah grumbled rolling away.
Jovi sighed recalling that they had both enjoyed sex in other ways, yet sometimes he could not help it. Without thinking, he would have his little jewel trapped and his body took over. After the fateful night of the celebration party, he had tried very hard to pay attention when Noah was against having his hands tied. And once he had taken him so gently, so tenderly that Noah had growled at him to get on with it. Jovi glanced at the most recent ties gasping as he saw the strain had left them distressed enough so that they would not be usable in the future. "You are very strong little jewel," Jovi remarked as he removed the remains of the tie. Jovi dangled the shredded ends before he got up to walk nude over to the bed. "I have never had a tie damaged before.
"You better remember that," Noah groused rolling onto his back. "And remember who it was that saved your ass and mine from Dorin." Jovi gasped recalling how his foolishness had nearly left Noah ravaged by the large man.
"I will never forget, that being small, does not mean a lack of power," Noah smiled at Jovi's words before he gave in to his body sleeping soundly as Jovi removed the tie from his other arm. It too was damaged and fit only for the bin. "And it was more your beautiful ass in danger." Jovi paused Noah was already asleep.
A freshly showered Noah lingered by the door as he waited for his Grandpa to come downstairs. Everyone in the Calathus household had noted that the Seer and his grandpa were head over heels for each other. "You know if you moisturized you would not chafe so bad," Noah gasped pulling the sleeve of his redesigned Chulin down over his wrist.
Noah frowned as his Grandpa never failed to embarrass him. He had a wicked thought. "You know perhaps Irina would not tease so much if you slipped a hand over Seer Lolen's mouth when you are really giving it to him."
"Touche," Elijah tapped a finger on Noah's nose. "Come on, I have a car waiting for us." Noah was still chuckling as he left the house. He looked up and saw the driver frowning at his grandpa when they got in. Noah ceased his chuckling to lower his brows at the man. "Irina gave you the address?" Elijah asked knowing the man had been well-informed. Elijah waited until the driver nodded before he got into the car with Noah and shut the paned glass of the car the man now insisted on driving giving them privacy in the backseat. "Apparently he dated Lolen before… Irina is a devious lady but she got her point across to him."
"Well, he's got the point," Noah sighed. "Think it might be time to get a new driver for the safety of all involved." Noah thought of the history of celebrities with drivers. In some accidents, the only survivor was the driver, or maybe the driver would choose to end them all rather than see Lolen with someone else. Elijah sighed as he too was reminded of the splashy paparazzi case from Earth.
"It would be more of a direct attack if he was thinking that," Elijah explain. The light above the privacy panel flashed to let him know that they were close to their destination. "Jeneran cars cease functioning and turn off if they are within a certain amount of inches of another car or an immovable object."
Noah laughed as they left the car in front of a building seeming to be made of glass. It was a dark glass, opaque, yet shiny like some of the high-tech appliances back on Earth. "Your Lolen must be a truly terrible driver if, even with that in place, he still can't do it."
"My Lolen," Elijah mused with a soft smile as went to the door where the owner waited with a bright smile on his face as Irina had called ahead to let him know who was coming and why. His wife stood beside him, beaming as well. "I like the sound of that."
"Where are we?" Noah asked. His face flamed as one of the news ads about his actions during the accident went overhead on a transparent screen on the side of a nearby building.
Elijah resisted the urge to ruffle Noah's hair and grinned. "A jewelry store… They specialize in bracelets." Noah stood for a moment staring slack-jawed at his grandpa. "Come help me pick out a good design." Noah sobered and followed his grandpa into the upscale establishment.
