Just a head's up, there will be a long author's note down at the bottom of this chapter concerning a cowardly guest, so if interested about that or just wanting to know why it is there, read it.
Third Person P.O.V
Perseus opened his eyes, figuring he must have dozed off for a few hours this morning, after his and Formora's intense rounds of lovemaking. He glanced down, feeling weight on his chest, looking at the rather very beautiful woman resting her head on his upper body. She sighed contentedly in her sleep. He absentmindedly stroked his hand through her hair, as his mind raced through possibilities of little children running around Du Weldenvarden. A vision burned bright in his mind.
'Great, large pine trees were all around. Dragons of many colors and sizes were roaring and shooting out their flames as they flew around high in the sky. A clamoring of loud noise was heard, as a group of children all ran about laughing and smiling. A group of women could be seen not too far from the little boys and girls roaming about, smiling with eyes full of love and happiness, as they gazed upon the children. Gazing around, Perseus' eyes soon fell upon a man standing in the clearing near the creek, a man that looked very familiar, yet he couldn't think as to why. The man had long, raven black hair falling down his back, a very fit and muscular body, with strong and thick arms, tanned skin, green tattoos running up and down his legs, arms, and torso, deep sea green eyes, flowing with currents of power and knowledge, a very impressive aura of strength and power radiated from this man.
A few more ran by, children being chased playfully by their mothers through the small creek in the woods, laughing as they were caught, and picked up, their faces being peppered with kisses, or their faces being nuzzled by their mothers. As Perseus himself continued to look around, taking in the sights of the happy mothers and children, as well as the joyous dragons, he felt something drawing him to these children. A fleeting, yet powerful and intense emotion. Something he wasn't entirely able to name for sure. A strong desire, burning within his very soul, taking root deep inside his being. Wanting these children, this life, this happiness.
'Is it possible, that these children are mine?! I can feel my magic singing, and the aura surrounding them is similar to my own.' Perseus thought to himself, for some reason, he was even hoping these were his children. Though he didn't know why, he wasn't exactly what you would call father material. The man locked eyes with Perseus through the vision, smiling at him, and the vision faded out.'
Formora stared up at her student? Friend? Lover? 'What even are we now? Have we crossed the bridge and become lovers? Are we bed warmers? Temporary mates?' she thought to herself.
"Morning, or rather, good afternoon, I guess I should say. Probably a dumb question, but I take it you appreciated your gift last night and some of this morning?" the elf beauty asked her lover.
"Well it was certainly a very enjoyable gift. I could get used to having this elf goddess in my bed from now on. Though I do have to ask, what are we now? Because as sappy as this is going to sound, I don't want this to be a one time thing. Being with you physically was nice, but I don't want just a physical relationship, Formora. I want something impactful, emotional, a woman to spend the rest of my life with. A woman that makes me laugh, and happy. A woman I can share my pain, troubles, and sorrow with, a woman, that brings out the best in me. A woman, I can love. A woman that makes life worth living, because living alone, is no life at all. Basically what I'm saying, or trying to say, is I want for us to try and be mates, not just temporary either, but permanent mates. I want you, Formora. I know I'm young by elf standards, and that I'm half human, but should that really matter? Love isn't rational, it's not logical, it's purely emotional, and if two people love one another, then that's all that should matter." Perseus said to her honestly.
Formora opened her mouth to tell him a few things. "I don't mind being with you, Perseus, but you should know, there are some elves who would look down on our relationship, especially on you. They will think you are too young, or immature, to weak and a human." She warned him.
Perseus looked at her, and with seriousness in his eyes and voice he said to her, "I don't care. Let them talk or feel how they want to. What we choose to do with our lives, or our love, is our right, not theirs. I love you, that's all I know and care about in regards to our relationship. If anyone has a problem with it? That's their problem, fuck them." he leaned down and kissed her lips, sliding his tongue into her mouth.
She closed her eyes and moved her tongue against his own, accepting his love for her, and sending her own to him from her mind to his. They stayed in the bed with their lips locked for several moments, just expressing, wordlessly, their love for one another. Eventually they had to get up and go perform their duties, well what ones they had left.
"Master Oromis might have some words for the two of us, it is rather late in the day, after all. He doesn't like a day wasted, when it could have been spent doing something productive." Perseus mused out loud.
"Oh, I wouldn't be too worried about that. I did tell him we might be indisposed for several hours. He understood and promised not to disturb us, if he could help it." Formora said, before reluctantly getting up and heading to the washroom.
Perseus' eyes glued to the beautiful elf's ass as she walked, she glanced at him from over her shoulders, and smiled saucily, before winking, and swaying her hips and ass even more.
"Well, are you coming? Just because we have some leeway, doesn't mean we should waste the hours we can use to be doing something more, fun." Formora called out from the washroom. Perseus jumped up and all but flew into the washroom downstairs.
Oromis' P.O.V
'Glaedr, I would appreciate some input on a matter concerning young Perseus and Formora.' the wised elf thought to his old partner of heart, mind, and soul.
'Input on what? I don't see what about the two of them is concerning you at the moment.' the dragon thought back to his rider.
'Do you think it was wise, to allow for them to lay with one another? Should I have stopped it? Encouraged it more than I did? Discouraged it, perhaps? They are different in age.' Oromis thought.
'Was it wise to allow them to act natural and lay with one another? Perhaps or perhaps not. It's not our right to tell them who they can or can't be with, when it comes to mating. If it works out, then it does, if it doesn't, then it doesn't. Life goes on, this could be a valuable lesson to the both of them. Love and happiness, once found, fight to keep it. The world is a darkening place, every day more and more pain and horror is showered on the world. A little bit of love right now, is a good thing to see. What is going to happen, will happen. To ease your consciousness, however, I do believe the two of them will be fine. Though I'm not sure how well it will go over with the friends of Perseus, he seems to attract females like a pride of lions, Formora might have a big competition on her hands there.' Glaedr's deep voice baritoned.
Oromis snorted at hearing that. It was true though, most of Perseus' friends were of the female variety. 'Yes, and Arya is already showing a possessive behavior towards Perseus. I shudder to think how she will act when she is older. I almost feel bad for the young man. I almost feel bad for the fool. Dealing with all of these women, especially Arya is going to cause him to premature gray hair.'
Glaedr let out a deep, guttural laughter, 'That girl should have been born a dragon. She has the temperament of one, a wild one at that. Then again, Perseus himself has the anger, wrath, temper, and loyalty of one. A match more made for one another I've never seen.'
Oromis then sent some concerning thoughts towards his dragon, 'Perseus' anger does worry me, Glaedr. He's gotten better, at least from what little he has shown since being here. Though if his memories are anything to go by, there's so much of it buried deep within the recesses of his mind. I've seen it, I've felt it. You've been here when the boy has come here after awaking from a nightmare or a memory full of wrath and promised destruction. I have tried to help him, Glaedr. I'm afraid that if we fail to vanquish it, we will have a far worse enemy than Galbatorix on our hands. Perseus is already stronger than Galbatorix. There's also his arrival here. We still don't know how he arrived here, nor do we know if he was the only one brought here. What if some of those beings, the 'gods' show up here? We would be powerless against them.'
Glaedr was silent for several moments, 'Well the way I see it is like this, Oromis. All beings have anger, we have fear, love, hate, lust. It's just a matter of how we use them, how we see them. His anger is deep and powerful, yes, but there's more to the man than just anger and wrath. There's also love, and loyalty, compassion and wisdom, strength and honor. A lot of those times when he got angry, why was it triggered? Because he saw someone he loved in trouble, getting hurt, or dying. His anger was understandable. If I saw something harmful to you about to happen, would I get angry? Yes. Would I act on said anger? Yes. That's why we do everything we can to show him the path worth taking, so he doesn't end up like Galbatorix. He's already on that way though. I don't think the man would have all of the friends he does, if he wasn't a good man. As for these other beings showing up? Well, that's why we train, and get stronger. Yes Perseus is a big help, especially considering how well he fought against them in his memories, but there is no reason to rely on a boy to do a job for us all. This is our world and home. We should defend it as well.' the great golden dragon finally spoke up, his words full of age old wisdom.
Oromis felt himself smile, speaking out loud to Glaedr, "True and wise words, my friend. Well spoken. I can feel the two of them heading this way. Judging by the emotions flowing around the two of them, I would say they had quite the experience last night."
True to the master's words, the new lovers walked up to his tree, where he and Glaedr had been sitting outside talking. Oromis stared at the two for a few moments, studying them, evidently he liked what he saw, for he smiled at them, before asking them to sit down on the wooden stools he placed outside for meetings like this.
"Perseus, now that you have completed your training, and are a full fledged rider, as well as taken out some of the Forsworn alongside Brom, we need to consider our next move." Oromis said seriously.
"Master isn't our next move kind of obvious? I mean we need to take out the rest of the Forsworn. There's also the Shade army that Galbatorix created, composed of many different creatures, man and beast. There's the Ra'zac and Lethrblaka he's been breeding as well. Galbatorix himself, obviously, but we can't move against him until his pets and pawns have been defeated and destroyed. Though I do wonder, if Helgrind is the resting home of the mad king, should we obliterate it off the land of Alagaesia? Or do you think that would be foolhardy and too risky? I do admit it might create more problems, because to my knowledge, there's not another place for the Ra'zac and their cursed parents to reside. They like dark, foul, rotting places full of fear, terror, death, and despair to nest and dwell in." Perseus said.
Oromis and Formora both sat and contemplated what he said. He did make a valid point about Galbatorix's armies, and servants. Formora finally spoke up after thinking on some things, "Well out of the fifteen Forsworn, the only ones still alive are Morzan, Kialandi, Gnilo, Munya, Bhine, Aleane, Egio, Dilni, and Khudna. Out of all of them, only a few would be able to give you trouble, such as Morzan, Kialandi, or Khudna. The biggest problems right now, I think, are the shades, the cursed and foulish Ra'zac, and Lethrblaka. I'm not sure if sending you out to destroy Helgrind is in our greatest interest at the moment. Though I wouldn't be opposed to it being destroyed. It's a blight on creation." She stated, her disgust for the place plain as day on her breathtaking face.
"Hm, you both make good points. We have many paths we could take from here. The question is, which is the right one? Do we stay and hone our magic and spells more? Do we go out and engage in open warfare?" Oromis asked his, once upon a time, former students.
"Regardless of what we do, someone has to stay here and finish Arya's training, and we should also reinforce our alliance with the dwarves. They've gone underground recently, thanks to Morzan burning down entire dwarven cities, and slaughtering and butchering their clans." Perseus said, his eyes burning with a desire for justice for the dwarves cruelly cut down by the fallen rider.
"Speaking of Arya, where is she? I half expected her to barge in my room sometime between last night and this morning. Where's Brom for that matter, and Vrael? You said this was a meeting, but doesn't that mean all riders, or at least all riders with full training, should be present?" Perseus asked.
Formora spoke up, looking somewhat sheepish, "I didn't really want my niece interrupting us, or asking what we were doing, so I kind of asked Islanzadà to put her to sleep for me." she said.
Oromis after giving her a look, said to Perseus, "Brom is currently out of Du Weldenvarden, gathering information on the empire, and Vrael is at his tree. His magic has been sealed off, and he is only allowed to use the basic spells and magic for a few decades, and he's only allowed to fly with Umaroth and train basically. He isn't allowed to leave the forest, until his probation is lifted."
"Isn't that kind of extreme? I understand he endangered myself and my dragons, but isn't this a bit much, considering everything worked out fine in the end?" Perseus asked.
Oromis shook his head, "No. He could have gotten you and Belladonna killed, Perseus. In fact, he was hoping for you to die, he said as much. He tried to murder you. He disfigured you. If anything, his punishment is actually merciful. If this happened in the time of Eragon and his dragon, the first rider and leader of the order, Vrael would have been whipped mercilessly in public, by you and myself. You as the victim and myself as his second in command and successor." the elf told him.
"Seems kind of harsh to me, but your the expert here." Perseus told his former master.
Oromis decided, "Alright, here's what will happen. When Brom returns, he will debrief us on the actions of the empire, and then we will decide what to do from there. Perseus, you, on the other hand, once Brom has spoken to us, will travel with Brom and try and get a meeting with king Hrothgar, in order to get our alliance back. Now, in the meantime, Perseus, I do believe Arya might be wanting to spar with you, and Belladonna and Tiamat most likely want to fly a bit. Formora and I need to talk about a few other things."
Perseus bid his former masters a good day, headed off to Tialdarà Hall, looking for Arya.
That's a wrap.
Now a few things before I get into the rant. The man in the clearing in the vision is based off of, kind of, a mixture of Aquaman (movie) and Poseidon (God Of War 3). Kind of what Perseus is going to look like when he gets a bit older, lol
Formora was accepting of Perseus' feelings for her and returned them, because honestly? I think she would be smart enough to realize that given Perseus' past and his maturity now, she knows he knows what he wants, and she knows his character.
Sorry for lack of action in this chapter, I will try to pick up the action in the next one however.
Now for the rant. Again, if you don't want to read this, then you are free to leave, if you do want to read this, then by all means, stick around. Thanks for the read, regardless.
Okay. So a little while back, I stumbled across a fic on the net. It's called Harry Evans's Fabulous Multidimensional Adventure by androidrainbow on FFN. It's a crossover of Harry Potter and many others but so far it's only on Inheritance Cycle.
I read like 20 some chapters. Saw that it was a, IMHO, terrible pairing of Harry Potter and Arya. Now this does irritate me, a lot, because I don't like the ship (I only ship Arya with like two people, Eragon is one of them, and Percy is the other, even though there are like no Percy x Arya fics out there, which is like a crime IMO). But there's a few other things about the fic I don't like. For some reason, Arya was naturally born as a redhead and dyed her hair, I know weird thing, but I hate that.
Eragon makes mistakes and he gets verbally ripped apart for it, Harry makes mistakes and nothing happens. Harry, despite not being a rider, is shown and taught rider's secrets and magics, and he's chosen, protected, and cared for by some 'god' that is a woman. Harry's also OP, and is supposed to be helping/guiding the chosen of the world, yet instead he jumps in, steals the protagonist's love interest, and kind of makes Eragon redundant. I asked in my review, why Eragon was even needed or in the fic, because of this exact reason.
This is ridiculous, imo. When I left some reviews on the fic, I was attacked, on one of my other fics, (which you won't see because I have guest reviews moderated on my fics), not by the actual author, so please don't think that, at least I'm assuming it wasn't the actual author, but rather by a guest who uses the name boi with different last names.
So I left another review to the author, androidrainbow, asking them to post an author's note or fic or something, asking their fans to not do this. Not even a few hours later, that same GUEST came back with like two more reviews, calling me all sorts of names, calling my fics shit and everything. Saying they couldn't even make it halfway through the first paragraph, talking about bad spelling and everything. Naturally, this pisses me off. This means that either this author is constantly logging out and using the guest feature, which I doubt, because I don't have that author blocked, and I haven't received a single message from them, or this guest is constantly watching and reading this fic, and looking at the reviews of everyone. Because after I sent this message explaining to the author what their guest readers were doing, I was attacked by the guest.
I know my fics aren't the greatest, I know I don't have many readers, favoriters, followers, reviewers. To be attacked by a guest, however, over something between me and another author? Something that does not concern that guest? Clearly the author doesn't even care, because I've gotten no message or review from them. So yes, I'm angry. This guest has no fics of their own, and my reviews didn't concern or effect them. Who are they to insult me? Or my work?
So I'm calling you out, 'Boi'. You are a coward and a hypocrite. You claim my fics are bad. Well you haven't even said why they're bad, what you didn't like, or anything. You, with no fic of your own, have absolutely no right to criticize any fanfic author. Grow up, and kindly leave me alone. Stop wasting your time because your 'reviews' are being deleted, and more importantly? Stop wasting my time, because quite frankly? Your opinion means jack shit to me, dude.
Also, why the hell do you think that Harry Potter magic is OP? It's not, it's weak as fucking hell, actually. Seriously, you want OP magic? Look at Scarlet Witch, Dr. Strange, Ancient One, Morgan Le Fay (Comics), Circe (comics), Zatanna, Raven, etc. Not fucking Harry Potter. Also demigods are resistant to magic. Read Riordan's works, the Kane Chronicles, Carter, when possessed/channeling Horus' power, uses god magic on Percy, and he shrugs it off. Harry can't fucking do that.
Sorry for the rant, guys and girls. I had to get that off my chest. Now I want to clarify a few things here. Am I telling you all this to get you to attack androidrainbow? Hell no. If you read that fic and you like it? Well that's up to you, I was merely stating my own opinion about it and got attacked. I won't apologize for what I said, because I truly believe that, but I will apologize for how I said it. I admit I have left some scathing reviews before, both before and after I started writing my own fics. I'm trying to get better about it, but sometimes I fall back into my old habits. At the end of the day, however, I'm only human, I make mistakes. Sorry for the rambling.
Enjoy the fic if you like it, or don't enjoy it if you don't like it.
