Currently in the guild everyone was sitting at the tables and no one was speaking a word. How could they. One of their own had just been arrested due to false charges. Everyone was upset. However, no one was more upset than Lucy and Levy. Lucy, because her cousin had just been arrested for something she knew he didn't commit. Levy, the man she had a crush on or even go as far as to say loved was just arrested right in front of her for reasons unknown to her. Natsu was so furious that he ended up turning into a mini dragon and was now being pinned underneath a glass jar.
Natsu: Let me out!! Let me out of here!!
MiraJane: Natsu, shut up.
Natsu: Let me out!
MiraJane: If I let you out you'll just go on a rampage right?
Natsu: I would not! Anyways let me out!!
MiraJane: If I did, the first thing you'd do is scream I'm coming to save you!! Right?
Natsu: I would not!! Who would want to even save Marcus!!
Gray: This time he's up against the council. There's no stoping them.
Natsu: Let me out!! There's one thing I will say! Council or not...they're the ones making the mistake!!
Gray: Something could be white but if the council says it's black then it's gonna be black. There's nothing that we could say that would get through to them.
Elfman: But it's weird. When you think of all the things that have happened, why'd they pick this time?
Lucy: Yeah. It begs for an explanation. Sometimes gotta be behind it.
Makarov: If I had to guess I'd wager that they're using him as a scapegoat.
Lucy and Levy: What! why!?
Makarov: I don't know how the council thinks. That's just my best guess. It could possibly be that they don't want all the damage reports reflecting back on them and making them look bad.
Lucy: Tsk! Talk about petty.
Erza: Well when you oversee a whole country or nation measures have to be taken.
Lucy: Well they could have gone about this a different way. A better and smarter way!
Makarov: They probably could have. However, half of the people on the Council are stubborn old fools and they just won't listen to reason. So it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. I just wonder why they chose us.
Currently Marcus is being led through the halls of the Council in handcuffs by the Council Envoy when they run into a member of the Council known as Siegrain.
Marcus: Siegrain.
Siegrain: Long time no see, Marcus.
Marcus: What are you doing here?
Siegrain: I'm not really here. My real body is still in Era. All of those old farts beyond those doors are thought projections as well.
Marcus: So the council is nothing but a bunch of cowards I see.
Siegrain: Aww, why do you have to be so mean. You'll hurt my feelings.
Marcus: You don't have any. You lost yours the day you abandoned both your brother and Erza to build the tower of Heaven.
Siegrain: You, Envoy rat!
Envoy: Y-yes sir Siegrain?
Siegrain: Get lost.
Envoy: Y-yes sir!!
As soon as the Envoy was out of ear shot Siegrain grabbed Marcus by the color of his shirt and glared at him.
Siegrain: How do you know about that!?
Marcus: How are you grabbing me? I thought you were a thought projection?
Siegrain: My thought projection isn't as weak as those decrepit old fools! Now answer the question! How. Do. You. Know. About. That?
Marcus: I have my ways. But if you really want the answer it's two words. Erza's mother.
Siegrain: Huh? Her mother? I killed her parents when rosemary village was burned to the ground.
Marcus: Not her adoptive parents you fool her biological mother.
Siegrain: Who the hell is her biological mother?
Marcus: Not telling.
Siegrain: Fine then I'll kill those most precious to you.
Marcus: You can most certainly try. But I'm afraid your a bit to late to put that to the test.
Siegrain: Huh!?
Marcus: All of those you speak of are already dead. Also I know you lied about rosemary village.
Siegrain; How do you know that?
Marcus: Well for one you're not old enough. And two, you still have some light left in your eyes.
Siegrain: Tsk! Let's just get this damn thing over with.
Marcus and Siegrain then walked through two massive doors where the members of the council were waiting to cast the trial on him. Marcus walked up to the stand and waited for his sentencing to begin.
Envoy: The trial of Wizards will now commence. Will the defendant, Marcus Stellar, please take the stand.
Back at the fairy tail guild...
Lucy: I can't just sit by and let this happen!! I'm going to go and give my testimony!
Makarov: Now just wait.
Lucy: What are you saying!? This is a false arrest! If we wait for them to make a decision it'll be too late!
Makarov: No matter how fast you go you'll never get there in time.
Lucy: But...!
Natsu: Let me out!!! Let me out!!!
Makarov: Do you really want to be let out?
Natsu: ...
Makarov: What's wrong Natsu? You're unusually quiet.
Makarov then undid Macao's transformation spell.
Everyone: Macao!?
Macao: S-sorry everyone. I owed Natsu a favor. I turned myself into a lizard so I could pose as Natsu.
Lucy: Then where is the real Natsu!?
Gray: He went after Marcus didn't he!?
Macao: Yeah...probably.
Elfman: It's nothing to be proud of!! I wouldn't put it past him to try and punch the council out!!!
Makarov: Everyone!! Silence! Now!! All we can do is wait quietly for the outcome.
Back with the council...
Council Leader: Defendant Marcus Stellar! Regarding the terrorist incident the other day involving Eisenwald...you are called here to answer charges in the case. The implosion of part of Oshibana station. The collapse of the bridge spanning Ryusika Gorge. And the demolition of the clover meeting hall. According to witness reports, they all agreed that the perpetrator was a man welding black and white flames with red eyes which had black symbols on them.
Suddenly there was a massive boom from behind Marcus and in front of all of the council members shocking everyone there. Except for Siegrain who was quite amused.
Council leader: What's going on here!?
Natsu: The man wielding black and white flames I am! Have freaky eyes I do. Try to catch me you shall!
Marcus' thoughts: What the- I don't speak like that! Only green aliens speak like that!
Natsu: I am Marcus! Try and accuse me of something you shall! Those pieces of shit are more important than the guild masters' lives!? Think not I do!
Marcus: Oh boy-
Council Leader: T-take them both to lockup!
Marcus: I-I'm very sorry.
Natsu: Marcus! You've got nothing to apologize to those jerks for!! Wait no I mean Marcus I am!!
Marcus: I don't talk like that!!!
Currently both natsu and Marcus are sitting in a jail cell.
Marcus: I'm sick of you! This trial was supposed to be just for show!
Natsu: Just for show!?
Marcus: The arrest was for public appearance. The council had to make a show of keeping a tight rein on their wizards, to keep order in the entire magical world.
Natsu: What's supposed to mean!? I don't get it!
Marcus: In other words, they'd proclaim me guilty, but I wouldn't be punished. If it weren't for your little rampage, I'd probably be back at Fairy Tail before the sun had even started to set!
Natsu: Huh!?
Marcus: For crying out loud...
Natsu: I-I'm sorry.
Marcus: It's all right. It was quite amusing seeing you try to act like me.
Natsu: *Laughing* Oww! Why'd you hit me!
Marcus: Because of the way you made me talk!
Currently standing out in the hallway leading towards the jail cell was Siegrain listening to the two argue.
Siegrain: Now I understand...So you were at fairy tail, Natsu Dragneel!
A couple days later both Natsu and Marcus were released from prison and were allowed to go back to fairy tail much to everyone's relief. Currently in the guild everyone was partying since their two members had been returned to them.
Natsu: Aww yeah!!! The air outside the slammer sure is sweet! It's the best! Yes it's wonderful to do what I want again!! Freedom!!
Jet: Oh shut up!
Droy: Sit down and eat in silence!
Lucy: If only they'd kept him for a bit longer. In the end Marcus' entire arrest was just for show. And I was so worried.
Levy: I mean he is your cousin. I'd assume you'd be worried even if it was just for show right?
Lucy: I'm just saying that I'm relived that he wasn't actually in any sort of trouble.
Gray: I should have known! They sent a toady to let us know that he could come home today.
Elfman: Shouldn't expect much from an ice make wizard. Your comic timing is way cold. So in the end what become of Natsu's 2 v 1 of him vs Marcus and Erza?
Natsu: That's right! I almost forgot!! Erza, Marcus we have to pick up where we left off!!
Erza: Not right now I'm tired.
Marcus: I'm not in the mood.
Natsu: Here I come!
Erza: Fine.
Marcus: So be it.
Erza then broke a leg off of a chair that was next to her and slammed it across Natsu's face sending him flying towards Marcus. Marcus then jumped in mid air and kicked Natsu in his chest which sent him tumbling towards a wall. When he finally hit the wall, he had blood coming out of his forehead and he was knocked unconscious.
Erza: If we must then let's start.
Happy: And it's all over!
Gray: *Laughing*. That's your worst showing yet Natsu!
Levy: Those two are as powerful as ever!
Lucy: Ah! Would you look at that! They wrecked the place again!
Makarov: Hm...
MiraJane: Master? What's wrong?
Makarov: It's nothing I just feel, sleepy. It's him.
Suddenly all the members started falling asleep except for three members. Those members would be Makarov, Marcus, and one other.
Gray: I know this...!!
Erza: Sleepy...
Makarov: Mystogan.
Mystogan grabbed a request off of the request board, showed it to the master and then started to walk away.
Mystogan: I'm going.
Makarov: Hey wait, remove the sleep magic first.
Mystogan: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...
As soon as Mystogan left the guild everyone immediately awoke as if nothing had happened in the first place.
Jet: Th-this feeling...was it Mystogan!?
Droy: That bastard! His sleep spell hasn't lost any of its power over the years!!
Lucy: Mystogan?
Marcus: He's a candidate for fairy tail's top man.
Gray: Even so nobody's even seen his face. When he comes in to take a job, he always puts everyone to sleep. Like just now.
Lucy: What's that supposed to mean!? That's way to suspicious.
Gray: Like I said, nobody but master and Marcus know about him.
Suddenly a voice from the second floor of the guild was heard shocking everyone inside of the guild.
Laxus: That's not true. I know.
MiraJane: Laxus!?
Levy: You're here!?
Macao: We hardly ever see you!
Marcus: And there's one more candidate...Laxus Dreyar. The Lightning Dragon Slayer.
Natsu: Laxus!! Come fight me right now!!
Warren: Come on man, Erza and Marcus just took you out in one shot. You really think you stand a chance against Laxus?
Laxus: The mind freak is right! If you can't take out somebody as weak as Erza or someone like Marcus who can actually give me a decent challenge, you sure as hell don't stand a chance against me!
Erza: What's that supposed to mean!?
Max: Hey, let's calm down Erza...
Laxus: It means that you're one of the weakest and that out of everyone in here I'm the best!
Natsu: Come down here and prove it you coward!
Laxus: Why don't you come up?
Natsu: Good idea!
As Natsu started to run up to the second floor Makarov stretched out his right arm, enlarging it and with his fist crushed Natsu underneath it.
Natsu: Oof!
Makarov: You can't go up to the second floor! At least not yet.
Laxus: Ha! You made him mad.
Makarov: Stop it Laxus. Now.
Laxus: I'm going to give up the status as the strongest in fairy tail to anyone. No Erza, Not Marcus, Not Mystogan, Not Tifa, and definitely not that old guy!
Marcus' thought's: Huh? How does he know my sister?
Marcus: Hey sparky! How do you know my sister!?
Laxus: What did you call me?
Marcus: I asked you a question...how do you know my sister.
Everyone in the guild noticed a dark Aura appearing around Marcus. They also noticed that black flames were appearing on both of his fists and that his eyes had changed color from black to red and had black symbols on them.
Lucy's thoughts: He's activated his amaterasu and his sharingan.
Laxus: Am I supposed to be scared of some measly black flames and some freaky eyes?
Marcus: If you knew what they could do you wouldn't dare attack me.
Laxus: If those eyes are anything like Tifa's then I have nothing to be scared of. Then again her eyes only had one symbol while yours has two. So maybe you are stronger than her after all.
Marcus: Are you going to answer my question or am I going to have to beat it out of you!?
Laxus: If you must know we met back when I was at Midgar.
Marcus: Midgar? What were you doing all the way over there?
Laxus: I was helping out an old friend of mine that I knew before joining fairy tail.
Marcus: Who?
Laxus: Zack Fair.
Marcus: I don't know that name.
Laxus: You wouldn't. This happened long before you most of you joined fairy tail. I don't talk about him or his girlfriend Aerith much.
Marcus: Why? Are they dead?
Laxus: No. They most certainly are not.
Marcus: So back to my question how do you know my sister? I understand that you met her when you were helping out a friend but how did you know she was related to me?
Laxus: Well for one you two look a lot a like. You both have that freaky eye. Unlike you though she doesn't have those black flames that you have. Both have the same last name. So it wasn't really that hard to piece together.
Natsu: Dude Laxus must really respect you! I've never seen him hold a civil conversation with anyone! And I mean anyone!
Laxus: I do respect him a little...but I still stand by what I said...I am the greatest!!!!
Gray: And he's back to normal-
Some time had passed and everything was back to normal in the guild. Lucy and Marcus were currently sitting at the bar drinking their drinks while Lucy was asking MiraJane some questions.
Lucy: What the master said a little while ago about not being able to go up to the second floor, what did he mean?
MiraJane: It's way to early for you to worry about that Lucy, but if you really want to know the request board on the first floor doesn't even compare to the one on the second floor in terms of difficulty and dangers. Those are S-Class quests!
Lucy: S-Class quests!?
MiraJane: They're the kinds of missions where at a moment's miscalculation would end up in your death. But for that reason the rewards are much higher and only S-Class wizards can take on such jobs. The only S-Class wizards in the entire guild are Laxus, Erza, Marcus, and Mystogan.
Marcus: Hey Mira don't forget to add yourself to that list!
MiraJane: What? You know I gave up being a wizard after-
Marcus: Yeah I know but still it's a crime to yourself to say that you're weaker than what you really are. Would she want you to do that?
MiraJane: N-no I suppose you're right.
Marcus: I'm not saying you have to get back into the game right away, all I'm saying is just give it some thought.
MiraJane: I will.
Marcus: Oh and Lucy if I even hear that you've attempted or tried to attempt an S-Class quest I'll personally murder you myself. The fact that your my cousin goes out the window when it comes to putting your life in danger. I do hope you understand.
Lucy: Y-ye-yes S-si-sir!!
Marcus: Good.
Lucy's thoughts: So scary!!!!
It is now the end of the day and Lucy is now walking back to her apartment thinking over everything that has happened today...
Lucy's thoughts: I've heard the names mystagon and Laxus before. Yep! Fairy tail sure is and amazing guild! Though when Marcus threatened Laxus that sure was scary! But not as scary as him threatening me! He may be my cousin but he sure can be scary sometimes.
Lucy's thoughts: But I knew of the strength of fairy tail before I came here...

Lucy: I'm going to get some work tomorrow!!
As Lucy opened the door to her apartment she was greeted with Natsu doing sit-ups and Happy lifting a cat sized weight.
Natsu: Welcome home!
Lucy: Kyaaaa!!!!
Lucy: You're stinking up the place! Get out!!
Natsu: What are you talking about? We're a team! See these weights are for you!
Happy: Don't girls like pink?
Lucy: It isn't the color!! I'm not interested in working out!!
Natsu: We have to build up our strength if we want to beat Erza, Laxus, and Marcus!
Happy: Aye!
Lucy: That has noting to do with me! Go home!
Natsu: But we were training here all night!!
Lucy: Someone save me!!
Natsu: Okay. I've made a decision.
Lucy: Huh?
Natsu: I'm going on an S-Class quest Lucy!
Lucy: You're doing what!?
Happy then held up a quest that was for a cursed island explaining how they needed help lifting the curse plaguing their island.
Lucy: What is that supposed to be!? What is this supposed to mean!? Your not even allowed on the second floor!!
Happy: I went up without permission and took it!!
Lucy: You damn cat!!
Natsu: Anyways, it was our first time so we picked the cheapest job on the second floor. It was seven million!
Lucy: No! We have no right to take on an S-Class mission
Lucy's thoughts: Plus Marcus already threatened he'd murder me if he found out I'd even thought about attempting an S-Class mission
Natsu: But if we do it successfully they'd have to admit that we've got the right!
Lucy: You always do things the messed up way. Can't you even follow the rules of your own guild!?
Natsu: If we do that we'd never be allowed on the second floor.
Lucy: Whatever you two go alone. I'm not going.
Happy: This job is to save an entire island!
Natsu: Let's give it a try!
Lucy: Island?
Natsu: The cursed island of Galuna!
Lucy: Cursed!!! Now I'm definitely not going!!
Happy: Would you go if I promised you half a fish?
Lucy: Not even tempted!!
Natsu: Tsk! Let's go home!
Happy: Aye!
Lucy: Go and cool down then!! Think about things rationally! While your at it leave through the door not the window!!
Lucy: *sigh* What they left the paper behind!? Now it looks like I'm the thief!! What'll I do now!? Wait a minute what does that reward say?

MiraJane: Oh no!!! Master! One of the S-Class missions from the second floor request board is missing.
Makarov was so surprised that he spat out his drink.
Laxus: Oh...now that you mention it, I noticed I cat thief sneak up here last night. A cat thief with wings.
MiraJane: Happy!?
Macao: But that would mean natsu and Lucy are on it!!
Marcus: What!?
Bisca: I knew your cousin was a fool but I didn't think she was this stupid!
Marcus: Don't drag her into Natsu's antics!
Bisca: I'm sorry but I'm just stating the facts.
Marcus: Well sometimes the facts are better left unsaid. Even if they are true. Which in this case they are. Even I didn't think she could be this stupid.
Laxus: That's a pretty big breach of the rules old man. This means expulsion when they get back...well that's assuming they even get back in the first place *Laughing*
Marcus: Tsk!
MiraJane: Laxus if you knew why didn't you stop them!?
Laxus: Where's the fun in that? How was I supposed to know a blue cat with wings was happy getting an S-Class mission for Natsu?
Mira then sent a strong glare at Laxus one he hadn't seen in a very long time.
Laxus: Oh? I haven't seen you make that face in a long time.
Makarov: This is bad. Which request is missing?
MiraJane: The cursed island of Galuna.
Makarov: The Demon isle!!!
Marcus: That's it I'm getting them back myself!!
Makarov: Marcus no!!
Marcus: And why not old man!? One wrong move and their both dead! One wrong move and my cousin is dead! I can't have another family member dying. My sister and my cousin are all that I know of that are still alive. I can't lose anyone anymore. I won't lose anyone anymore.
Makarov: You just answered your own question. Your emotions aren't in check. One wrong move on your part could cost not only the lives of Natsu and your cousin but also yourself. If someone is to retrieve them it needs to be someone who is calm and collected. Someone who is not to emotionally attached to this mission.
Makarov: Gray, I need you to go. Your the only wizard strong enough here who can bring Natsu back by force.
Gray: With pleasure.
As soon as Gray was out of earshot Makarov turned to Erza with a very stern look.
Makarov: Erza, I want you to keep and eye on Marcus for the time being. If Gray is not able to get those two numbskulls back within two days time I'm sending you after them.
Erza: Of course master.
Two days came and went and the three idiots still hadn't returned yet. On the bright side Marcus had calmed down and was doing much better now. Everyone who was in the guild that didn't have jobs were anxiously waiting for Natsu, Gray, and Lucy's return but it never came.
Erza: Master it's been two almost three days and they still haven't returned. I dread to fear the worst.
Makarov: Don't worry child. I feel that they are still alive. Go bring them back home. Also before you set off on your journey tell Marcus Cloud and Aerith are coming.
Erza: Who are those people?
Makarov: You don't need to worry about them. They are no threat to us.
Erza: Yes master.
Once Erza left the guild the first stop she made was to Marcus' home. His home was nothing fancy. It was at the edge of town right next to the harbor.
As Erza was about to knock on the door she was greeted by Marcus who was just coming home from a mission that he had just completed with Levy.
Erza: Oh, Marcus and Levy?
Marcus: Oh hey Erza.
Levy: Hey Erza.
Marcus: What brings you here?
Erza: The master wanted me to tell you that cloud and Aerith are coming.
Marcus: Oh? Are they now?
Levy: Marcus? Who are they?
Marcus: Old friends of me and my sisters. So what are you up to Erza.
Erza: I'm off to retrieve our three idiots.
Marcus: I see. Bring them home safely.
Erza: Will do.
Erza then walked off towards the harbor in hopes of securing a boat that would take her to the island.
Marcus: It was fun spending some time with you we should do that more often. Though next time let's make it a harder quest.
Levy: N-next t-time?
Marcus: Yeah. This team thing is fun and all but I want the adrenaline rush so next time we pair up let's do a harder quest. But not to hard can't have you dying on me now can I.
Levy: *intense blushing*
Marcus: Well I'll see you tomorrow. Bye Levy
Levy: B-bye
Levy's thoughts: If I keep stuttering around him he's gonna think I'm a weirdo and not wanna hang out with me anymore. On another note I wonder who these cloud and Aerith characters are and if I'll ever be able to meet his sister. Maybe she'll be able to give me some pointers on winning him over.
