Transformers Prime: A New Adventure.

Chapter 43: Arcee vs. Slingout.

In the Autobot base, Ratchet questions before bemoaning, "Optimus! Optimus, do you read me? What's happening? Does anyone read me? No response. That meteor's energy output must be masking their life signals."

Jack then says, "I wonder what's going on up there."

Miko theorizes, "Oh, maybe the meteor exploded."

Fortressimus answers, "It exploded and then fell out of orbit."

Ratchet questions, "It what?"

Rafael states, "He's right; I hacked into the Atmospheric Monitoring Array. It tracks every major meteor that enters Earth's atmosphere, and this one came down here."

Ratchet looks at the screen and sees a signpost indicating that the meteor chunk landed somewhere in South America.

Ratchet states, "Well, right now, we're blind. And if anyone came down with the meteor, they'll need help and repairs. I'll go take a look."

Ratchet activates the Space Bridge.

Miko starts following Ratchet and she says, "Ratchet – "

Ratchet interrupts while getting his point across, "Not a chance, Miko. All of you stay put. I mean it."

Ratchet goes through the Space Bridge to South America.

Miko groans, "Ugh. I can't just stand here and do nothing when everyone else is missing."

Suddenly, an alarm blares and 5 icons appear on the screen.

Jack questions, "Raf, Fortressimus, are those meteorites too?"

Rafael replies, "No. Jack, those are Autobot life signals!"

Fortressimus then says, "Overscreen, Darksor, Blow Saber, Ironrider, Skullsor, Searchclaw, Tailflight, Beachswipe, Grim Magnus, Banzaibolt, Slapscreen, Ramburst, Blitzcrusher, Black Spot, Groundpick, First Shop, Menkill, Silver Rod, Gunface, Blitzpipe, Tipjumper, Lightwing, Mindrider, Sunsweeper, Denfen Hauler, Sixway, Scatterstreet, Countsor, Quickjet, Counterout, War Force, you will go to that location in Asia; my guess is Bulkhead is there."

Miko activates her armor.

Fortressimus continues, "Mudbolt, Wheelkill, Stakestorm, Ice Haul, Cranktrack, Red Raid, Stormcrunch, Buzzblock, Motorbar, Birdcross, Laserpunch, Thunderdance, Joyscream, Steelstick, Blastbrain, Menrunner, Doubleplex, Iron Hauler, Spark Shot, Wild Rod, Banzaiflight, Bristleworks, Needlelight, Thunderhappy, Denfen Cloud, Nightlane, Quickcross, Slingtop, Tailline, Octocone, Bioelectronik, you will go here to this location in Africa, where Bumblebee is likely held captive in an Energon mine by Decepticons."

Rafael activates his armor.

Fortressimus continues in the background noise as all the Autobots being called on are deployed via Space Bridge and via flying the whole way to their destinations through their jetpacks and/or their vehicle mode speeds being augmented by being Cybertronians rather than Earth machines with severe limits.

In a factory outside of Jasper, Nevada not unlike the factory where Fortressimus Prime's army rescued June Darby's medic friend Jade Foker, Arcee awakens from her impact from orbit.

Getting up slightly, Arcee feels her head in pain as she says, "Ow. That smarts."

Arcee looks around and asks before theorizing and before contacting Autobot Outpost Omega One, "I'm back in Jasper? I must've jolted my processor and wandered back here in a daze. Arcee to base, do you read me?"

Fortressimus replies over the commlink, "Arcee, this is Fortressimus. We have a situation. You and the other primary members of the team were blown back to Earth because the Dark Energon meteor housing Thunderwing in orbit exploded thanks to the fight between Optimus and Megatron."

Arcee groans as she remarks before questioning, "So, that's why I got a headache. Where's everyone else?"

Fortressimus answers, "Ratchet is looking for Optimus in South America, and I sent Autobot troops and the Iron Legion to find Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Tailgate, and Bulkhead."

Arcee then hears insectoid wings buzzing and she looks up to see none other than flying Insecticons.

Arcee questions, "Fortressimus, did you know that there would be Insecticons sent after me?"

Fortressimus answers before theorizing correctly, "Negative, but I do calculate that Megatron somehow found a few squadrons of Insecticons and put them under the command of your other archnemesis, Slingout."

Arcee snarls, "Slingout's minions. Great. Time to shoot down some bugs."

Arcee charges a shot and brings down one Insecticon, forcing him to switch to robot mode.

Arcee tears the Insecticon apart thanks to her rotary cannons on her shoulder blades that also act as sniper cannons and machine gun cannons.

Arcee then proceeds to use her Circuit-Su and Kung-Fu skills on the other Insecticons as they appear.

Arcee is about to activate her jetpack when three red Energon laser blasts almost blast her.

Arcee looks up and sees Slingout, the 5th Arachnicon that Megatron ever recruited to the Decepticons in this timeline.

Arcee snarls, "Slingout!"

Slingout remarks, "I'm glad you survived the fall, Arcee. It would've been so boring to see your spark extinguished without doing the deed myself."

Arcee replies, "You're about to wish you had!"

Arcee fires her machine gun cannons, but she misses.

Arcee charges up a rocket blast, but she misses as well.

Slingout tries to do a vehicle attack, but Arcee does a Just Shield in time, stunning Slingout.

Seizing the opportunity, Arcee activates her Overdrive mode, spawning her even deadlier arm blades.

Arcee slashes Slingout twice in a spinning motion, she does a front flip hammer strike, twirls around with two more slashes, following up with a strong roundhouse kick, following up with a left cross slash, a spinning right backhanded slash, a jumping spinning kick, a spinning right cross slash, and a flying upward axe kick.

Slingout retreats and tries to strike Arcee, but she activates her force field again before doing a jumping spinning slash and before doing a jumping spinning double roundhouse kick and slash.

Slingout manages to get a good kick on Arcee's face, but she retaliates with a left overhand punch.

Slingout retreats to higher ground to shoot both Energon lasers and webs.

Arcee manages to dodge both, and the only time she gets caught in Slingout's webbing, Arcee manages to melt her way through thanks to her arm blades being given a Fire Blast attachment to melt through the webbing like a hot knife through butter.

Arcee then blasts Slingout with her rotary cannons and her normal arm blasters before using her replication abilities to grow spider legs, shocking Slingout.

Arcee then takes advantage of Slingout's shock to do the same quadruple sets of attacks that Airachnid and other Arachnicons tend to favor.

Slingout appears to be exhausted, and Arcee capitalizes further with an Upward-Cannon Punch, a Lead-Leg Angled Double Roundhouse Kick, a Diagonal Double Reverse Punch, a Back-Leg Push Kick, a Slant Thrust Kick, a Matching Stances Strike, an Opposing Stances Strike, a Rear Strike, a Jumping High Kick, and a Whip Punch.

Slingout tries to strike Arcee with her spider legs, but Arcee counters with a Hanging Kick, an Inverted Punch, a Foot Sweep Kick, and a Roundhouse Punch.

Slingout is sent crashing to the ground and Arcee keeps Slingout pinned at gunpoint.

Arcee snarls, "Give it up, Slingout. You're finished."

Suddenly, they both hear the sound of jet thrusters soaring above them.

Arcee and Slingout look up to see Titanium Speeder descending with his collapsible bo-staff armed and vibrating.

Arcee questions, "Titanium Speeder, what are you doing here?"

Titanium Speeder replies, "Came looking for you, Arcee."

Fortressimus shows up and snarls, "I gave you a direct order, Speeder! I gave you a direct order not to interfere!"

Titanium Speeder replies, "Well, partners don't ditch partners!"

Fortressimus then deploys his swords and replies back, "Do you seriously want me to revoke the entire Iron Legion of their armors?"

Slingout kicks Arcee into Fortressimus, but Titanium Speeder burns Slingout's front spider legs off.

Slingout shrieks in pain, but then her smirk returns when she grows new ones.

Fortressimus just gawks.

Slingout remarks, "You really should rename your human soldier pet, Arcee. If I were you, I'd call him Strategic Weakness!"

Slingout transforms into her own helicopter mode, which is a Changle Z-10 Chinese attack helicopter.

But before Slingout can truly fly away, Fortressimus quickly scans Slingout's appearance for future reference and for a science project.

Fortressimus then says as Slingout vanishes from sight, "Let's head back to base."
