Chapter 3
Poquito
"Rudbee! Rudbee!" Poquito was babbling at the baby raccoon. The baby raccoon noticed Poquito and scattered over to him and chirped squeakily. Poquito reached his hands onto the raccoon's head and pet it vigorously.
"Rudbee huh?" Andrew said, sitting on a big, broken tree limb that had fell from one of the neighboring trees. Andrew had said he'd wait until Poquito was older to name the raccoon, but it looks like Poquito kind of already had named the raccoon.
Poquito squealed in delight as he grabbed a hold of Rudbee and hugged him close.
Clementine tied off the last bit of bags onto the wagon and then glanced at Andrew. "Hey Andy, you coming or we just gonna stand here?" Clementine called. Oh for crying out loud, that stupid nickname was going to make Andrew strangle somebody.
"Yeah, yeah, in a minute. Com'ere Poquito. Rudbee." Andrew stood up and then gently grabbed the two into his arms. Poquito blew bubbles at Andrew and reached one hand towards Andrew's hair to try and grab it again, but Andrew gently moved his hand to stop him from doing so. "Stop with the hair pulling, okay?" Andrew poked Poquito's nose.
Poquito waggled his fingers at Andrew's hair again and Andrew had to gently move his hand again, sighing. "Please just- Stop." Andrew muttered, rolling his eyes at the baby boy.
Rudbee proceeded to crawl out of Poquito's grasp and grasped a hold of Andrew's hair too. Andrew would have to figure out a better way to keep them from yanking on his hair other than moving their hands and telling them no.
"So, judging from the map, it'll take a long while to get to Equis, and it'll take forever to get to Corona, even from Equis." Clementine looked at the map, occasionally bouncing when the wagon would hit a rock or tree root. Andrew sighed and looked up, holding Poquito and Rudbee in his arms, "It's a long trip, but somebody's got to do it." He said staring at the clouds.
"You act like you're carrying the weight of four people, a bunch of baby raccoons, a baby and a bunch of your belongings." Kai muttered, rolling his eyes. Clementine whipped around and whacked Kai in the head with the map. "Ow!" Kai growled as he stopped walking.
"You deserve it!" Clementine crossed her arms.
Andrew sighed once more, he found himself doing that a lot more lately. Between having to care for Poquito, Rudbee and having to deal with his annoying Saporian friends... He had a lot of reasons to sigh. Luckily, Poquito and Rudbee were asleep at the moment and he didn't have to deal with those two, and the other baby raccoons were being dealt with by the others.
That just kind of left the annoying Saporian friends to deal with.
Namely Clementine and Kai at this time. Maisie and Juniper were actually calm at the moment.
Hours went by, a few stops here and there to tend to Poquito, Rudbee and the other raccoons. Andrew stared out into space for a while, not really talking to anyone, holding a sleeping Poquito and Rudbee in his arms. Clementine was sleeping on a pile of stuff, Maisie was cleaning one of her daggers, Kai was of course carrying the wagon, and Juniper was looking around the area peacefully.
For some reason, it was unsure how it came about, Andrew had an idea on how to get Poquito and Rudbee to stop pulling on his hair. "Hey, Hey Maisie." Andrew nudged her. "What?" Maisie peered up from her cleaning. "Do you have another hairband?" He asked her.
"Yeah, here, need one?" Maisie dug around in the bag next to her and gave him one. Andrew nodded and took it, then carefully slipped his arm out from underneath Poquito and Rudbee, letting them rest in his lap, then tied his hair up into a man-bun. That should stop it.
"Trying a new look, huh?" Clementine opened one of her eyes, tiredly. "Anything to keep the little ones from trying to yank my dang brains out." Andrew looked at the two in his lap, slowly and gently wrapping his arms around them again.

And that is the story of how Andrew came up with the idea of wearing his hair in a man-bun... At least in this AU. Ha ha! I hope you enjoyed that chapter, sorry it took so long to release!
