The next morning Knock Out took the space bridge to Macadam's with Bumblebee and Smokescreen for energon not trusting the cafeteria anymore after what happened to Knock Out the day before.
Then they went back to the hotel so Bumblebee could get ready for the last qualifier race that would take place that after noon.
"Guys there's something in front of my door." Bumblebee called Smokescreen and Knock Out over and pointed out a package.
"Looks like you might have a fan." Smokescreen smiled.
Knock Out walked over and put his audio receptor to the box and his optics widened.
"Don't open it Bumblebee it's ticking!" Knock Out warned and there was no missing the nervousness in the red spots car's voice.
"Oh scrud!" Bumblebee replied realizing someone had possibly sent him a bomb.
"Scrap what do we do?" Smokescreen asked.
"We call the authorities and report it." Bumblebee replied and then they wasted no time calling the police.
A few moments later the Velocitron authorities came there with a bomb squad and took care of the package which was indeed a bomb that would of blown the moment it was opened.
"Talk about a close call." Knock Out said after the bomb squad left.
"Yeah Bee could've really been hurt." Smokescreen added.
"This was probably to stop me from competing in the race." Bumblebee guessed. "But the strange thing is that package was pretty suspicious looking almost too suspicious looking."
"Yeah anyone who got a close look at it wouldn't guess it was a bomb." Knock Out agreed.
"So maybe it was more of a scare tactic to try to scare Bee away from competing." Smokescreen suggested.
"We all better be careful there's no telling what might happen during the race today." Bumblebee said to them.
Then they went to their rooms to get ready.
Later when it was time for the race Knock Out took a seat in the stands next to Smokescreen who was also taking a break since he had one the last qualifier race.
The two were having fun talking as they waited for the race to start ready to spectate and cheer Bumblebee on, And saw him wave at them before taking his place at the starting line.
Then the race started and Bumblebee was in the lead so far but having to be careful and dodge other racers who were trying to ram him or flip him over the way Black Jack had tried to wreck Knock Out during the first race.
"Their being a lot more brutal than in the first two races." Smokescreen told Knock Out with a hint of worry in his voice hoping none of the other racers would hurt Bumblebee.
"It's because this is the final qualifier race before the main one only three racers can compete in this one so this is their last chance to qualify." Knock Out explained. "So their a lot more desperate."
Suddenly a loud boom was heard and three different racers were sent flying, Then several more explosions started going off and both Knock Out and Smokescreen knew it was more landmines that had been planted on the track by whoever was sabotaging the races.
So far Bumblebee had managed to avoid them, And medics were rushing onto the track to tend to the racers who had been injured and Knock Out got up to see if there was anything he could do to help being a medic himself.
Knock Out was at the bottom of the stands when he looked up just as another landmine went off and his optics widened in horror when he saw Bee's alt mode rolling across the tack having taken the blast head on.
Paramedics scrambled to get the badly damaged yellow Camaro off the track and to safety Knock Out rushed to the medbay knowing that was where they were going and wanting to make sure his friend was going to be ok.
"I told you to call off the races, it's just too dangerous with all this going on!" Knock Out heard the nurse who had treated him the day before auguring with Ransack when he finally reached the medbay.
"I can't do that because the races are too important to Velocitron's culture." Ransack replied. "The races are still going on as planned I'll just up the security to ensure the safety of our racers."
"Is our culture really more important then the lives of our people?!" The nurse yelled after Ransack as he walked away done with the conversation and didn't even look back or respond to her.
"Hey I was just wondering is there anything I can do to help with the patients?" Knock Out asked then explained that he was a medic.
"Thanks we could use any help we can get." The nurse answered him.
Then the paramedics arrived with Bumblebee who was stuck mid transformation and Knock Out went to help them seeing that his friend was in a lot of pain.
Knock Out went to get pain killers to give the yellow Autobot but couldn't find any.
"Where are the pain killers Bumblebee could use one or at least a sedative while they help him transform." Knock Out explained.
"Their in the box on the table." She told him.
"No their not I just looked their it's empty." He replied.
"Their treating several racers right now they must have used the last of them." She said as her face dropped.
Knock Out wasted no time activating his com-link and called Smokescreen to bring him the pain killers from his medkit that was in his hotel room.
Then went back to where Bumblebee was and unfortunately they couldn't wait for Smokescreen to get there because they had to transform Bumblebee to treat his injuries.
"Scrap, I'm so sorry Bee this is really gonna hurt." Knock Out apologized in advance to his friend, before the pandemics started transforming him, Which was basically like someone having to have several dislocated body parts set.
Bumblebee let out cries of pain as they work to get him back to his bot form and Knock Out gently petted his shoulder while speaking to him to try to give him some comfort.
"I'm so sorry." Knock Out thought he saw the nurse mouth a few times.
Knock Out wished Smokescreen would hurry up and get there with the pain killers not liking having to watch and listen to one of his friends suffering.
Just then Smokescreen rush in and handed Knock Out the pain killers and the red medic wasted no time given a dose to Bumblebee who thanked him then drifted into stasis while the medics finished treating him, And once they finished they reported that he would be fine after a few days of bed rest.
Much to both Knock Out and Smokescreen's relief.
Later that night they had Bumblebee moved to the hospital in Iacon on Cybertron after Ratchet insisted wanting to keep an eye on him having been worried when he heard what happened.
"Well guess I'm out of the race." Bumblebee said once they all came to see him after he came too.
"We're just glad your alright." Smokescreen told him.
"I'm so sorry for what you had to go through in the medbay on Velocitron there's no way they should have run out of pain killers that fast." Knock Out apologized. "If I had thought I would've had my medkit in my subspace."
"It not your fault Knock Out and you did good." Bumblebee assured his friend.
"And I'm sorry I took so long to get the pain killers to the medbay when I went in the hotel someone locked the entrance from the outside and I had to track down a janitor to let me out." Smokescreen explained.
"Why would anyone do that?" Asked Ratchet. "Surely they wouldn't want to lock out their guests or trap them inside."
"No clue." Smokescreen replied.
Knock Out made himself a promise right then and there to start keeping his medkit fully stocked and in his subspace at all times from now on, He thought he wouldn't need it since there was a medbay at the track but he'd never dreamed they'd run out of pain killers and sedatives like that.
"I'll send some of our extra supplies to Velocitron and come to help out in the medbay." Ratchet agreed after hearing about how woefully under stocked they had been at the race track's medbay.
"It's strange because the only thing they were low on was pain killers and sedatives." Knock Out explained.
"That is odd." Ratchet agreed.
Then Smokescreen and Knock Out went back to Velocitron to finish the mission after saying goodbye to Bumblebee who wished them both luck and said he would watch the race from the TV in his hospital room.
After they got back to Velocitron Smokescreen went back to his room and Knock Out started to do the same when he suddenly got a transmission from Starscream asking him if he could came help him with something.
So Knock Out took the space bridge again to Kaon to see what the seeker needed, And found him setting in his hotel room.
"Hey Screamer what up?" Knock Out asked as he entered taking a seat in one of the chairs.
"Just need you to fix a damaged servo and a bent wing tip." Starscream explained pointing out the damage, Which Knock Out was able to fix, Since the damage was minor and Starscream had seen much worse.
"What happened?" Knock Out asked the seeker.
"Megatron happened." Starscream replied then told Knock Out about what happened at the night club, And Knock Out was proud of him for standing up to his former master.
"I wanted to wait for my servo to heal by itself but it wouldn't stop hurting." The seeker added.
"You shouldn't wait to seek help if your hurt some minor injuries can become serious if left untreated." Knock Out gently scolded his best friend.
"Sorry I just don't want Megatron getting wind of it and thinking I'm any weaker then he already does." Starscream explained letting his wings drop.
"Asking for help isn't weakness and personally I think Megatron is the last bot who's opinion you should be listening to or worried about all he's ever done is hurt and abuse you." Knock Out told the seeker. "It's a wonder he didn't break your servo last night."
"Thanks Knock Out." Starscream said to his friend as he petted Blue Jay who was sitting on his lap and licking the seeker's now freshly welded servo.
Just then Megatron who found where Starscream was staying barged in and started telling the seeker off and yelling at him for standing up to him and taking off the night before.
Blue Jay continued to growl at the former gladiator the whole time until Megatron growled back making the bumble puppy yelp and run back to Starscream who held Blue Jay who was now shaking to calm him down.
Starscream put the bumble puppy back in his subspace, Before turning to Megatron.
"Can you please leave." Starscream said firmly and there was no missing the agitation in the seeker's voice. "Just leave me alone Megatron!"
"You worthless mech I'm telling the Autobots you can be trusted and should be kicked off the team all your good at is messing up!" Megatron bellowed as he drew back to slap the Starscream who braced himself but then heard a zap and the blow never came.
Then the seeker looked and saw Megatron was now stunned on the floor and Knock Out who was now standing in front of him was putting away his energon prob that he had just zapped Megatron with before he could strike Starscream.
"Look Starscream is doing his best to make up for his past and frankly I think he's done more to dever redemption then you have, I mean really hurting and harassing a bot who's trying his best to change for the better and not even apologizing for all the abuse you put him through doesn't scream changed mech to me." Knock Out said to the stunned bot on the floor.
"And I intend to make sure Optimus Prime and the others know all about the way your still treating Starscream, And news flash your the one who's still acting like a Decepticon not him, and if I ever hear about you hurting Starscream again the other medics will have to treat you when you get injured because I won't bother." Knock Out continued.
"And if anyone gets kicked off the team I'm pretty sure it'll be you not him." The red medic finished.
Then he asked Starscream to came with him to Velocitron and called Optimus and arranged for Megatron to investigate Kaon because he had something he needed Starscream's help with, And the seeker agreed.
So the two of them went back to Velocitron leaving Megatron laying on floor.
Then once back at the hotel on Velocitron Starscream check in to a room and thanked Knock Out for standing up for him.
"Anytime Screamer that's what friends are for and I'm just sorry I didn't do it sooner." Knock Out told him.
"That was sure brave zapping Megatron and telling him off like that with his temper." Starscream added before they told each other goodnight and went to their rooms.
Once inside his Knock Out slumped onto the beth with a shock and terrified look on his face and the passed out on his berth because what he did and said to Megatron and how much bigger and stronger he was then him just happened to sink in.
