Chapter 5

Tuesday came quicker than anyone wanted. Storm was planning a nice dinner since Sam was coming that afternoon and the brothers would be heading out the following morning. She was in the kitchen prepping for the meal and Dean was sitting at the counter drinking coffee when his cell pinged he had a text. He pulled it out to check it thinking it was Sammy.

"Sammy will be here in ten minutes," Dean told her. "He's stopping to fill my Baby, so we'll be ready to leave in the morning."

"He's a good brother," Storm told him as she cut vegetables into chunks. Her mood was low, but she was trying to hide it from Dean. She didn't want to bring him down with her. He was acting a little off to begin with and she didn't want to make things worse.

"That he is, though sometimes he's an annoying pain in the ass."

"I know you better than that Dean Winchester. You wouldn't have anyone else have your back out there and you know it. You two are the best hunters that I know, but I don't know that many, sooo…" she shrugged smirking at him.

"Are you trying to be funny?" Dean questioned trying to sound a little perplexed. "Because…I'm just saying…"

"Asshole," Storm growled at him tossing a slice of carrot his way.

"Don't waste the food. You know Sammy would be upset about that. He's the veggie person." Dean tossed the slice of carrot back at the bowl beside her.

"You're lucky you're so damn cute and good it bed."

"I am, aren't I," Dean beamed poking his chest out with pride and grinning widely.

Storm leaned over the counter and gave Dean a peck on the cheek before going back to her prepping. She smiled to herself wondering what she did to deserve someone like Dean. He was all she could ever want in a man. He was loving, gentle, attentive, protective, awesome lover, and strong spirited. He accepted her just as she was with all her flaws and didn't try to change her. It was like they were made for each other, and she wondered if something might have guided Dean to her bar that stormy night.

"I'm here," Sam called out as he let himself into the apartment fifteen minutes later.

"We're in the kitchen bro," Dean replied.

"Hey Storm," Sam greeted her with a smile and hug.

"Hi Sam, did you have a good time with Bree?" she asked returning his hug.

"I did and she sends her love."

"Did you have hot passionate sex all night long?"

"None of your business," Sam spat as his cheeks reddened.

"Well, Stormy and me did and it was amazing. You need any pointers?"

"No," Sam insisted with a growl.

"Dean, leave Sam alone," Storm scolded as she slipped a pan in the oven. "What they do in the bedroom should be private, just like ours should be. We don't need everyone knowing that part of our lives, now do we?"

"Fine," Dean pouted.

"Sam, would you like something to drink. Dinner won't be ready for a couple of hours. Why don't you and Dean go sit on the deck and enjoy the last of the sunshine? I'll join you in a bit."

"Yeah, come on bro, it's nice out there with a cool breeze blowing." Dean got up and went to the fridge to grab a couple of beers. He headed out onto the deck and dropped into a lounge chair with a loud sigh.

"Thanks," Sam said accepting a beer from Dean after sitting in a chair beside him. He drew in a deep breath and tilted his head letting the gentle breeze blow in his face. He could smell lilac and honeysuckles that grew in the forest behind the bar. After a few minutes and a few sips of beer Sam cautiously approached his brother about wedding plans. "So, did everything go okay this weekend?"

"I guess, why?"

"Bree said Storm called and they were going to work on wedding plans."

"Oh, that," Dean shrugged. "It seemed like a good idea."

"It just seems sort of sudden. You never mentioned anything about it to me."

"Well, I'm not marrying you dude. I couldn't see any reason to wait any longer."

"I'm happy for you bro. Storm's perfect. She brings out the best in you."

"That she does. Stormy's my soulmate."

"Did I hear my name?" Storm asked as she stepped onto the deck.

"You did, but it was all good."

"It better be," Storm said cuddling down in Dean's lap with him. "Do you guys know where you're heading next?"

"I might have found a case in northern Texas to check out," Sam answered. "I'm going to do some more research tonight to be sure."

"I'm going to miss you guys when you leave but I'll be busy planning our wedding," said Storm hugging Dean and kissing his cheek.

"Like you said Stormy, make it simple and don't worry over anything. Whatever you plan will be okay with me."

"You guys just be careful. I don't want my husband to be to on crutches or in a cast on his wedding day."

"I'll do my best to bring him to you in one piece," Sam told her smiling at the loving couple. It had crossed his mind to ask Breeze to marry him and have a double wedding, but he wanted to give them a little more time together before taking that big leap. Sam was sure Breeze was the one for him. He couldn't have found a more perfect woman that was willing to accept him just the way he was and not try to change him.

After dinner, they watched a movie and Sam retired to work on his laptop and Storm and Dean headed to the bedroom to enjoy their last night together. They toned it down so not to disturb Sam and fell asleep content and satisfied.

The brothers left early the next morning leaving Storm in bed so they could get started toward Texas. Dean woke her enough to tell her goodbye and told her to stay in bed. A few hours later Storm rolled over and pulled in a deep breath as she glanced at the empty spot beside her already missing Dean. She stretched her body like a lioness or panther before getting up to take a shower. Once that was done, she headed for the kitchen to make some breakfast and to start on a list of things that needed to be done for the wedding.

After glancing at the time, Storm gave Bree a quick text asking her to call when she had a few free moments. About thirty minutes later her cell rang and she answered it.

"Hello," Storm greeted the caller.

"Hey Sis, I've got a break so we can talk," Breeze replied.

"Thanks for calling. I've started a list on wedding plans and wanted your input about them."

"Okay, go ahead."

"I figured we could have the ceremony in the bar, so we don't have to worry about the weather. We'll move some of the tables around and have plenty of room."

"That does sound good. It would suck to plan something outside and we have storms."

"Do you think you and Sam can run the bar on Saturday night so Dean and I can get away for a short honeymoon?"

"Sure, that won't be a problem. It was fun doing it last time and working with Sammy will make it that much better."

"I'm sure Dad will stay around to help too. I was going to do finger food and the wedding cake. I don't want to do a full meal."

"How many guests are you looking at?"

"Well, let's see, you and Sam, Dad, your Dad, Kyle, Trace, Hank, Norm, Bobby, Trent, my godfather, and Nathan, one of Dad's vet friends who is also a preacher. I was going to have him do the ceremony. We need to invite Castiel too. I don't want him to feel left out. He does take care of our guys when they're on a hunt. At least I think he does. I'll have to ask Sam about that. You know how stubborn Dean can be at times."

"I'm just glad they have a heavenly angel watching out for them. You think Bobby might bring someone?"

"Maybe, I'm doing food for say twenty should be good. We only need a small cake too."

"How about you let me take care of the cake and music? I know the perfect bakery to make the cake. And I'll get the music downloaded and ready too."

"I'll have the flowers done here; I know the florist in town, and I can get the food catered here too. Dad has a lot of connections, and I can get a discount."

"What are you going to wear?" Breeze asked.

"I've been thinking about that," Storm sighed. "I want it to be simple and comfortable. I don't know when the last time was I wore a dress. I think I might have been three years old. You know that's not me. I'm really leaning toward everyone wearing jeans, boots, and a nice shirt."

"I think it sounds perfect. It doesn't matter how you're dressed, and I know the guys would appreciate that."

"Of course, you're my maid of honor and I'm sure Dean will have Sam be the best man."

"I would be honored."

"How about this weekend you come over and we'll do some shopping for us and the guys. You can spend the night and we'll go over everything. I thought Dean and I would write our own vows. You think Dean would do that?"

"For you, he'd do anything. Sammy can help him if he gets stuck."

"Okay, this is a start. I'm going to contact everyone and be sure Nathan is available to reside over the ceremony. I have emails for everyone, and you can tell your dad and brother."

"I can, no problem."

"Has Sam hinted anything about proposing to you?"

"No and that's fine. I don't think either of us are in a hurry to take that next step yet."

"If he did, what would you tell him?"

"Yes, of course. I'd be a fool not to. I love my gentle giant with all my heart and soul."

"I thought as much. You two are perfect for each other. I'll let you go Bree, I know you're at work. I'm glad to get this much done."

"It is and I'll see you this weekend."

"Bye Bree."

"Bye Sis."

Storm hung up and scribbled some more notes before getting up to grab her laptop and compose a wedding invitation email. She was good at creating things like that and quickly pulled up templates. She sent an email to Nathan asking if he was available on that Saturday before sending out the invitations. When she talked to Dean next, Storm was going to see how he felt about writing his own vows.

Feeling like she had accomplished quite a lot, Storm fixed some lunch and ate in the living room watching the television. It still hadn't really sunk in that she was getting married in less than three weeks. She relaxed for a bit before heading downstairs to get the bar ready to open.
