Chapter 6

Storm was in the bathroom drying her hair after a shower. It was a slow night in the bar, and she was glad it was over with. She slipped on briefs and Dean's old T-shirt before stepping from the room. Her cell began to ring in the other room, and she hurried to get it, knowing it was Dean.

"Hello," she said.

"Hey Stormy. How's my girl?" Dean greeted her in a warm, loving voice.

"Tired, but it wasn't too bad tonight." Storm headed for the bedroom and turned down the covers so she could slip between the sheets. "How was the drive to Texas?"

"Uneventful, thank god," Dean huffed. "We got a motel room and got the police and autopsy reports."

"Any idea what you're looking for?"

"Not sure, I think Sammy has an idea, but you know how he is. He won't say anything until he's sure."

"That sounds like him," she chuckled. "So, I talked to Bree, and we've started making plans for the wedding."

"Good, how's it going?"

"Since it's going to be a small affair, I think we've made good progress. I know you'll want Bobby to come, is there anyone else you want me to invite?"

"Hmmm…." Dean sighed as he thought about it. "Well, there is one person. She's an old family friend, Missouri Mosley. She's known me since I was a baby."

"Alright, I'll add her to the list. Can you send me her email address?"

"Sure. I'll do it after we hang up."

"I've contacted a close friend of Dad's to perform the ceremony. He was in the service with Dad and is a preacher. I wanted to be sure he was free for that Saturday. And I've asked Bree but ask Sam if he'll help in the bar Saturday night so we can leave for the cabin after the wedding."

"Sounds good and I know that won't be a problem since Sammy's worked the bar before and where Breeze is, he's going to be."

"Babe, I thought it would be nice if we wrote our own vows. Is that okay with you?"

"Vows, like what we tell each other to love, honor, yada yada?"

"Yes, that's it. We write our own version."

"Okay, sure, I can do that," Dean replied uncertainty in his voice.

"And if you have any problems, I'm sure Sam can help."

"True, he is the sensitive one. I'll have him look them over and see what he thinks," Dean told her. "I'm going to miss your warm body in my arms tonight."

"Me too," Storm sighed. "I always sleep better when you're with me." Storm tried to suppress a yawn as she rubbed her eyes.

"I should let you go so you can get some sleep. Dream of me my love."

"I will. Tell Sam hello and you guys be careful. I love you so much."

"We will and don't fret or worry about us."

"I'll try, but it's easier said than done."

"I'll call you in a couple of days. Bye Stormy."

"Okay. Bye Babe." Storm heard the call disconnect and hung up her cell. She laid it on the nightstand and rolled over sighing deeply as her hand absently ran down the sheets beside her as she closed her eyes and pictured Dean lying there looking at her with those gorgeous green eyes. She cuddled with his pillow and let sleep pull her under into dreamland.

The week passed quickly, and Bree drove over on Friday after she got off work to spend the weekend with Storm so they could work on the wedding plans.

"Hey Sis, looks like a nice crowd tonight," Breeze told Storm giving her a hug as she stepped behind the bar.

"Glad you could come Bree. And yes, it's filling up quickly. People are ready to let off a little stream after a week of working," Storm greeted her after serving a customer. She gave her a quick hug before wiping down the bar.

"Let me get an apron and I'll help out," Bree told her.

"Thanks, but you don't have to do that. I know you've worked all day."

"I don't mind Sis; it makes the night go by faster." Bree snagged an apron and tied it around her waist and grabbed a tub to bus the tables. She was greeted by a few of the regulars who knew her from previous visits. She continued around the room gathering empties and trash before heading for the back to empty the tub.

Storm and Breeze were tired as they watched the last of the patrons head out. Storm checked the bathrooms and then bid Hank and Norm goodbye before double locking the front doors. Breeze was sitting the chairs on the tables and Storm went to get the broom and dustpan to sweep the floors.

"Do you want me to take the trash out?"

"No!" Storm responded louder than she meant. Sometimes the memories of what she had endured reared its ugly head. "Sorry, I usually wait until the next day unless Norm or Hank takes it out."

"It's okay Sis. We can take it out on our way out tomorrow," Breeze assured her. She didn't dwell on the outburst from Storm knowing she would talk about it if she needed to.

"Even after Dean and Sam put up the lights and motion detectors out back after my attack, I still will get rattled. It's gotten much better with time but…You know…" Storm trailed off.

"I understand Sis. Say no more," Breeze replied in a sympathetic voice laying a hand on her arm. "You know I'm here if you ever need to talk about anything."

"Thanks Bree," Storm said giving her a brief smile. She started sweeping and Breeze cleaned the bathrooms. Storm swapped the broom for a mop and quickly mopped the floor while Breeze washed down the bar. "Okay, I think that will do it for tonight," Storm sighed as she pushed the mop bucket into the back room to dump it.

"Great, I'm ready for a cup of tea and a snack," Breeze replied hanging the wet rags in the supply closet to dry. "Have you talked to Dean this past week?"

"Yes, I told him about writing our own vows and he agreed. He's happy to let us plan everything."

"That's a man for you, but it's probably better that way. The guys would just ger in the way."

"I agree. Nathan got back with me and can do the ceremony and I talked to Dad who's ecstatic about the wedding."

"I'll start some tea if you want to get out the cookies from the cabinet," Storm offered as they walked into the kitchen. She turned on the water to heat and got out two mugs. "Any preference on tea flavor?"

"Nope, I'm fine with anything." Breeze found the cookies and got them while Storm made the tea.

"Let's go get comfortable in the living room. Do you want to watch a little television?"

"Sure, I need a little time to unwind."

Storm found the remote before settling on the couch and turning on the television. She found a random sitcom and they drank their tea and munched on cookies. Once they were done and the show was over, they headed for bed taking turns in the bathroom. They agreed to get up early and head into town for breakfast and to do some shopping for the wedding.
