The RéBURSTERS 2 Chapter 23 Bruno Apologizes

(Meanwhile, back at the house, it is late. Currently, Roxie's reading on the Couch having calmed down after the "Nasty Burger" incident and was comfortably sitting with Gengar. While Bruno comes down the stairs with Hariyama and walks over to the couch).
Bruno: Hey, Roxie.
Roxie: Hey. Where's Lei?
Bruno: Lila's taking him for a little bit. (Roxie finds this a little hard to believe, asking him).
Roxie: Lila "Tiger" Lilly is babysitting?
Bruno: Yes. (Bruno slumps down on the coach, clearly exhausted).
Roxie: And you are okay with this?
Bruno: Yes. I do not know why, but yes. (Roxie closes her book and is about to leave with Gengar but Bruno tells her something), I wanted to say something to you. (Roxie stops having a feeling about what it could be. Bruno begins to feel deep regret for the part he had in her anger and misery recently and wants to apologize for it). Sorry about Rafe. I did not think about Miles erasing his memory or about you having to pay the price for a choice you never made. (Roxie, having gotten over it already, feels touched by her dad's apology as he continues). It is not fair, I know. (Bruno looks at his daughter earnestly regretful of what he did). And then, I made it worse at the restaurant by trying to... (Bruno knows that there is no remorse for what he did then and gives up on trying to explain his reasons to her). Anyway. Anyway...I am sorry, (Bruno leans over, looking down in sadness as he is finally admitting to what he has known all this time) I have experience in knowing what the right thing to do is but now, I am not sure anymore. I just wanna be (Sighs and admits openly and honestly to Roxie) a good dad. (Roxie is moved by her father's apology and feels a bit of regret in how tough she has been on him (and Hariyama too). She realizes that none of them, not her, not Morrison, and especially not their dad has had it easy recently since their Mom went off Heroing. But secretly admired her dad for how well he had been trying to keep things under control in spite of how difficult it had been. Then after a Moment, Roxie says being honest with her dad as she walks over to him and puts her arm on her dad's shoulder to comfort him).
Roxie: You are not good. (Roxie hugs him and smiles lovingly to him). You are super, I love you, Dad. (Bruno sniffs feeling happy that his daughter has forgiven him as he sheds a tear of happiness. Before he hugs her gently and tells her).
Bruno: I love you too Roxie. (Hariyama and Gengar smile seeing the father and daughter rekindled their familial love they have between them. Bruno sits back down on the chair before he falls asleep snoring. This makes Roxie look surprised before she laughs to herself and goes back to leaning her head on her dad's shoulder).
