The RéBURSTERS 2 Chapter 25 Auntie Lila

(Bruno is about to wake up and Morrison is watching Ben 10 on the TV).

Theme Song: (On TV). ?When lives are on the line!

Ben 10: It is Hero Time.

Gwen: LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, BENJAMIN KIRBY TENNYSON! EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT! (Ben turns into Jury Rigg).

Jury Rigg: Jury Rigg?! How does this help anybody? (He transforms again... into Grey Matter)

Grey Matter: Grey Matter, seriously?! (He transforms again into Nanomech)

Nanomech: ARRGH! COME ON ALREADY! (Bruno looks to see Morrison is sitting on the couch eating cereal with Sceptile sitting on the Floor in front of him eating its breakfast, consisting of Berries. Then Roxie walks up to her awakening Father, carrying a Plate with food on it and sets it down on the ottoman in front of the sofa he was sleeping on. While Gengar sets a plate with a Hot Fresh Coffee on it next to the Plate Roxie set down. Before Hariyama comes and stands behind Bruno looking bright and eager to see his trainer is up and ready).

Roxie: I thought it was best to just let you sleep. (Then Roxie mentions casually). Seventeen hours. (Roxie, clearly no longer angry with her dad gives him a small smile and asks). How do you feel? - (Chuckles and smiles back happy for the first time in a while).

Bruno: Super. (Then they hear an explosion on the tv and look at it).

Ben 10: Gwen you are Both okay!

(Later at Lila's house. Bruno, Hariyama, Lila, and Delcatty are walking down the hallway with Lei now walking independently on his own two feet in a Red Suit Prototype for a proper RéBursters Pokéball).

Bruno: I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you watching Lei for me, Lila.

Lila "Tiger" Lilly: Yes, I am sure your gratitude is quite inexpressible. Do not ask me to do it again, darling, my rates are far too high. (Bruno gets nervous about this as he worries about what he would resort to do in case he needs someone to watch Lei for him).

Bruno: Oh, uh... (Then Lila relieves his worries by telling him).

Lila "Tiger" Lilly: I am joking, Bruno, I enjoyed the assignment. He is bright and I am stimulating. We deserve each other. (Lei is enjoying a Lollipop). Your child is a polymorph. Like all babies, he has enormous potential. It is not Mysterious for supers to have more than one power when young but this little one has multiple. (Lila walks closer to Lei as she begins fawning over him). Yes, you have multiple powers! (Bruno and Hariyama are a bit offput by the sight of this. Lila picks Lei up in one hand and types in her code while Lei puts his hand on the scanner, another scanner checks his eyes, and he also does the voice identification before sticking the Lollipop back in his mouth), I understand your lack of sleep and coherency, Bruno. (They walk into the room with the sitting area and a large glass wall, separating them from an area with three white walls. Lila used this room previously to show Lusamine the New RéBursters Pokéballs she made during her visit). Babies can be anything, and your child is no exception. He has pure, unlimited potential, Bruno. He slept while I worked in a creative fever. (She gently sets Lei down and he begins walking down the platform). Auntie Lila stayed up all night making sure you look fabulous in your multiple forms.

Bruno: What are you... You are putting him in the...

Lila "Tiger" Lilly: ...In the chamber, Bruno. He is part of the demonstration and will be fine. (Lila sits down in the seat next to Bruno and Hariyama with her Delcatty beside her as the seats move down the track to follow Lei's progress). Your challenge is to manage a baby who has multiple powers and no control over them, yes? (Lei goes to the glass and lightly pressed up against the glass. As Bruno says calmed by this progress by Lila).

Bruno: Huh. That sums it up.

Lila "Tiger" Lilly: I often work on music, and I noticed the baby responds to it as well. Specifically, Mozart. (Starts playing music and Lei dances to it), I blended Kevlar with carbyne for durability under duress and cotton for comfort. (Lila gives Bruno a handheld device). Interwoven with these fabrics are a mesh of tiny sensors that watch the baby's physical properties. (Bruno looks from the Device to Lei).

Bruno: (Lei starts duplicating). Oh, Lord! (Stammers). W-w-what is he doing?

Lila "Tiger" Lilly: Well, it is Mozart, Bruno. Can you blame him? The important thing is that the suit and tracker predicted the change and alerted you. (Bruno begins to panic at this).

Bruno: Oh, no. Cookies. I gotta get cookies!

Lila "Tiger" Lilly: You do not need cookies. (A giant cookie goes across the chamber and Lei and all the clones follow it). As I learned quite painfully last night, any solution involving cookies will inevitably result in the demon baby. (The door closes without Lei being able to eat the cookie. Lei turns into the monster version of himself and goes to his dad and Lila before he begins to pound on it angrily. Bruno looks at the screen and sees something that makes him panic screaming).

Bruno: "Combustion imminent"? What does that mean? (Lei turns into flames). Ahhh!

Lila "Tiger" Lilly: It means fire, Bruno, for which the suit has countermeasures, I suggest you extinguish the baby's flames before he trips the sprinkler system. (Bruno presses the button making the fire extinguish with flame retardant. It also inflates the suit a bit before purple bubbles begins coming out of the collar of the suit as Lila explains). The flame retardant is blackberry lavender, darling. Effective, edible, and delicious. (Lei begins playing with the flame-retardant substances. Bruno is impressed by her ingenuity. Sure, she has impressed him before but nothing like this has impressed him more impressed than this).

Bruno: Well, what do you know? That is useful.

Lila "Tiger" Lilly: Although, I have doubtlessly exceeded your expectations for a single night's work the suit and device have A Couple of more features we need to discuss.

(A Little later after Lila has finished showing all the features it has to Bruno, he is now leaving with Lei, and Hariyama. They are now outside and heading to Bruno's car with him carrying a bag in hand).

Bruno: Thanks again, Lila, for everything. How much do I owe you for? (Lila dismisses the idea of him paying her).

Lila "Tiger" Lilly: Pish-posh, darling. Your bill will be under my Management by my fee for being Hariyama, Ambipom, and Crabominable's (Then Lila's tone gets clearly more angered and annoyed) exclusive designer throughout the known universe and until the end of time. (Then Lila's tone becomes calm again as she fawns again over Lei in his child seat). But babysitting this one I do for free, darling. (Bruno was feeling extremely optimistic about all this and why should he not be? Lei's powers were now seemingly more manageable with the device Lila gave him. Along with his relationship to his kids (specifically Roxie) was better. To him everything was changing for the better as his family was now in a Safer place...).
