The RéBURSTERS 2 Chapter 26 Cold Room

(... So long as thinking that Lusamine being in a freezing room meant that she was also safe. Then yes, she too was in a safer place. The Goggles built into the Mask that Klara placed on her shut off allowing her to see Clearly was going on. She gasped in shock before she saw that she was stuck to a chair and then she tried to use her spare arms to take the goggles off, but she could barely reach them. Until she hears an all too familiar voice).
Voice: I would resist the temptation to stretch. (She looks over to see Klara and her Slowbro in the room on the other side of the glass wall separating them). The temperature around you are well below freezing. Try to stretch and... you will break.
Lusamine (Ambipom): So, you are the Mirage Master.
Klara: Yes and no. Let us say, I created the character and pre-recorded the messages.
Lusamine (Ambipom): Does Bobby know? (Klara and Slowbro Chuckle at the mere notion of that and how ridiculous that sounds as they walk around the room from the other side of the glass wall separating them).
Klara: That I am the Mirage Master? Of course not. Can you imagine what Mr. "Free Enterprise" would do with my hypnosis technology?
Lusamine (Ambipom): Worse than what you are doing?
Klara: Hey, I am using technology to destroy people's trust in it. Like I am using superheroes. (Lusamine then decides to ask an important question she has had for a while now).
Lusamine (Ambipom): Who did I put in jail?
Klara: Dr. Yung. Seemed the right height, build. (Lusamine (Ambipom) continues to shiver from the Coldness of the room as Klara and Slowpoke continue to chuckle at this). He gave you a Surprisingly good fight, I should say I gave you a surprisingly good fight through him.
Lusamine (Ambipom): (Shivering). But it does not bother you that an innocent man is in jail?
Klara: Eh, he was surly...and the Yung was Crazy. Now I will fill you in on what you found back in the apartment. (This Catches Lusamine's attention as she still has not figured out what it was that she found back then). At the time Slowbro's arm shell was Breaking and pieces were falling everywhere. (Lusamine (Ambipom) gave a confused look). For an unknown and weird reason, my Slowbro's Shell is brittle when it is Damp. And because of that when his Shell breaks like this it leaks purple slime which is the other thing you found back in the apartment. And yes, for a split second or to be more precise, a half second you saw my face when you unmasked him. It was due to a technical glitch I was never able to fix.
Lusamine (Ambipom): Granted Dr. Yung is Worthless, but I counted on you. (Then Klara points out the irony in Lusamine's logic).
Klara: That is why you failed.
Lusamine (Ambipom): What?
Klara: Why would you count on me? Because I built you a bike? Because my brother knows the words to your theme song? (Klara and Slowbro glare at Lusamine). We do not know each other! (Lusamine glares back at Klara and Slowbro while gritting her teeth at them).
Lusamine (Ambipom): But you can count on me anyway. (Then Klara and Slowbro give Lusamine a Faux-Friendly smile as she tells them sarcastically).
Klara: I am supposed to, aren't I? Because you have a couple of strange abilities and a shiny costume the rest of us are supposed to put our lives into your gloved hands. (Klara and Slowbro's glare turn into one of sadness and aching pain). That is what my father believed. When our home was the victim of a break-in, my mother wanted to hide. Begged my father to use the safe room. (Klara's surly tone resurfaces as she continues). But father insisted they call his superhero friends. He died, pointlessly, (Klara's tone becomes one with an increasing amount of anger and resentment). Stupidly...waiting for heroes to save the day, my Poor Slowbro. It was just a Slowpoke then. Almost lost its tail when they wanted to (Klara grits her teeth and says bitterly) sell it for a profit. (Lusamine remembers when Bobby told her, Bruno, and Brycen the sad story of how he and Klara lost their Parents and says trying to understand Klara's reasons and comfort Klara...).
Lusamine (Ambipom): But why would you...Your brother... (... Only for her to Snap and Shouts at Lusamine (Ambipom) in anger).
Klara: Is a child! (Lusamine goes silent but keeps her glare against them. As Klara begins acting with Faux Excitement). He remembers the time when we had parents and superheroes. So, like a child, Bobby conflates the two. "Mommy and Daddy went away because supers went away". Our sweet parents were fools (Klara drops the fake display as she slams her hand on the Glass Wall in anger and rage) to put their lives in anybody else's hands. And he completely forgot about the trauma my Slowpoke had to deal with. (Slowbro looks away and down in Sadness as the memories of it resurface). It did not want to leave my room for a YEAR! A FULL YEAR! (Klara shouted. Lusamine (Ambipom) is horrified to hear how badly Slowbro had suffered back then and tries to comfort Klara and Slowbro).
Lusamine (Ambipom): Klara... Slowbro... (But they will not hear of it as they Snap at her again as her, and Slowbro's True Colors come out as she shouts at Lusamine in Pure Unfiltered Anger and Rage letting her true feelings be known).
Klara: PTSD LUSAMINE! MY SLOWBRO WAS THE VICTIM OF PTSD! Superheroes keep us weak! (Feeling Threatened by Klara, but not allowing any sign of weakness to be visible, she asks her).
Lusamine (Ambipom): Are you gonna kill me? (Klara and Slowbro's Glare does not falter for a second as she responds telling her).
Klara: Nah. (She takes a seat on the ground next to Slowbro). Using you is better. You are gonna help me make supers illegal, forever. (She takes out a remote-control device and presses a button that turns on Lusamine (Ambipom)'s goggles again. Lusamine (Ambipom) tries to resist it but gets hypnotized and falls back under Klara's Control).
(A/N #1: Sorry if this Chapter got a little too strong in imagery or Content, I just wanted to give Klara's Slowbro a reason for hating Superheroes and therefore a reason to help Klara besides the typical "working for a trainer simply because it listens to its trainer" cliché (If you will). And If I in anyway offended those with the Condition Klara mentioned then I am sorry. And on a personal note, I wanna say that while I never experienced it, I know it is no excuse to make light of it and use it for anything other than to make my story more compelling. So again, If I in anyway offended those with the Condition Klara mentioned then I am sorry).
