Chapter 20
Brooke took deep breaths and rubbed her belly. At 25 weeks. The kicks she felt happened like clockwork. The baby slept during the day but would kick alot at night.
She had recently had lunch and had just watched a delivery video.
It wasn't as reassuring as she had hoped.
Women went into labor for days sometimes. Even with drugs pain would be felt.
It was all so unknown and vulnerable. She would be experiencing the worst pain of her life.
Wearing nothing but an open hospital gown. Bright lights. Smells.
She had attended birthing classes. Talked to her girlfriends who had given birth.
And knew she could get through it. Truthfully it was once the baby was born that really worried her.
What kind of mom would she be.? Brooke thought to herself.

(She's going to be the mother of you're child. It's important her and I get to know each other.) Lindsey explained to Lucas.

(According to Lucas 's text. Lindsey wants to have dinner just the two of us.)
(I mean can you believe her? She's trying to cement herself into my life.)
(I hate her!) Brooke announced.
Haley and Peyton looked to each other.
(I see the looks the two of you are sharing. Just talk to me.) Brooke insisted.
(She's Lucas 's girlfriend and she's actually nice and smart.) Haley said.
(She's not the enemy here Brooke. Instead of wasting time and energy hating her.)
(Put into perspective she's going to be around the child you and Lucas share.) Peyton explained.

(What if Brooke doesn't even want me in the delivery room.? I don't want to miss this. Be out in the waiting room. I want to be there every second. )Luca Lucas questioned.
(You're the father. You have a right to be in there. Don't let Brooke 's feelings get in the way of you missing this moment.)
