Someday Soon
Chapter 27
"Every song has a CODA, a final movement. Whether it fades out or crashes away, every song ends. Is that any reason not to enjoy the music? The truth is, there is nothing to be afraid of. It's just life." —
"You're a welcomed sight." A voice said.
Lucas turned and stopping moving things around.
Looking up. He smiled at her. "You're home. Alot earlier then i expected.I thought you couldn't get away." Lucas said.
"I got away. What can i say. I missed you. Plus i didn't want to leave you here all alone for another week." Lindsey replied.
"Well i'm happy you're here. I was going to ask Brooke if i could have the girls for next weekend. What do you think.?" Lucas asked.
"Sure. It would be nice." Lindsey replied. Trying not to role her eyes.
She hated children. Morgan and Langston were exactly like Brooke.
She could barely stand being around. But she played the part of future step parent pretty well. They didn't see the difference.
...
"I missed you're food momma. Grandma Victoria doesn't cook." Morgan said.
"And grandpa Ted doesn't like playing pretend. He does take us shopping. Which we like." Langston added in.
"Before the two of you got changed and came back downstairs."
"You're uncle Lucas called me and he wants the two of you."
"To spend time together with him this upcoming weekend."
"Would you like that.?" Brooke asked.
"Yeah. We love uncle Lucas." Langston replied.
"But we hate Lindsey." Morgan added in.
Brooke smiled as she felt hands wrap around her.
She leaned over kissing him.
"My favorite Davis girls all in one room again."
"I don't like Lindsey either." He proclaimed.
Brooke laughed and looked up.
"Clay Evans don't encourage them." Brooke replied.
