We are going to New York "Jacob slammed a brochure on Evie's table at the student union. He had told her to meet him here.
"What?" Evie looked at him. Not sure she heard him correctly.
"Evie I missed out on the NYC trip and I want to go to NYC before everyone leaves for the summer. I found this brochure that will give us a tour of NYC for a discount price" Jacob was shocked when he saw how reasonable the price was.
" I guess it would be fun" Evie shrugged. "Elise and Maria also did not join us last time. Okay let's go this upcoming weekend"
"Perfect I'll text the group chat!" Jacob pulled out his phone. "I want to see the Statue of Liberty, Time Square, The Brooklyn Bridge, The Empire state building, and the rock climbing place you went to"
"Well, what about The Met?" Evie was reading the brochure. She loved museums.
"That's lame" Jacob replied still texting everyone. "Also, I figured we could take a tour bus that way we can hop on and hop off and not waste gas"
Evie nodded "Yeah sounds good to me. Are we going to stay the night" she looked up at him.
Jacob's face then lit up "Okay hear me out"
Evie's face fell "What did you plan?"
"There's this club" Evie then groaned "Listen" Jacob snapped at her, "I think we should go and have a party Saturday night. It will be like one final party"
"Yes, but we have the Brotherhood Formal coming up soon. Where everyone will be there" Evie pointed out to him. "We also partied hard on Spring Break"
"And we can party hard in NYC. I mean how many times are we going to get the chance to party often" Jacob wanted to have as much fun in college as he could before the real world hit him.
Evie finally relented "Fine. What about underage drinking and all that"
Jacob flashed a smile "Hello fake IDs"
"If we get arrested, I will murder you" Evie glared at him. She was terrified of being arrested because of her brother.
"Well be fine dear sister" Jacob smiled again at her plotting already.
That night everyone got together and started planning. Elise and Maria were excited since they did not go on the last trip. Jacob then invited Alexios and he happily joined. Altair and Malik would sadly not make it since they had to stay back and take care of the dorm. Maria was bummed about that. Desmond, Ezio, and Conner were excited, however. Conner was beyond nervous since he and Dobby had broken up. He felt awkward seeing her around the building now. Luckily though Ezio had been great and helped Conner out.
It was now 8 am and everyone was in front of the tour bus. Evie of course was making everyone start their day even if they were parting late at night. For the first few hours, the bus drove them around NYC itself. Everyone enjoyed it even if some were a bit bored like Jacob and Desmond. They would get out and look around and then board the bus again. Evie actually enjoyed learning the history and all that. She sort of wished they had done this in Paris at Christmas. The tour then ended at the Statue of Liberty.
"Wow I can't believe we're here" Jacob marveled as they walked off the boat.
Elise agreed "I know you see it on so many tv shows and movies and then you see it in person"
"It's okay" Maria shrugged. She wanted to see more military forts or historic battlefields.
"Yeah, I agree" Ezio added in "Once you've seen it's meh" he shrugged. This was his fourth time seeing it since the Brotherhood does this every year.
"True" Desmond nodded walking up to Ezio and looking at Lady Liberty.
"Whatever" Jacob huffed "Anway's Evie I'll race you to the top!"
"You're on!" Evie then started running and Jacob followed. Everyone just laughed at the sibling rivalry.
"Well I'm going to take the elevator," Elise said "Maria do you want to come and go into the Statue of Liberty like a normal person"
"That sounds better than hundred-plus stairs" Maria linked arms with Elise and they started their walk. Everyone else then joined them. Everyone then got to the pedestal part and just hung out and took pictures. They knew they would be waiting a minute for Jacob and Evie if they climbed up to the crown part.
"I wonder who will win," Arno said as he looked at the skyline.
"My money is on Jacob" Desmond stated "He's super athletic and doesn't read"
Aveline then looked at Desmond "What does reading have to do with climbing stairs"
"For real Des" Conner butted in "I read and I'm athletic and strong"
"We know you're strong everyone saw your muscles at Greek night in that Toga" Ezio joked. He was lowkey jealous of Conner's statured.
Conner's face then went red "Shut up"
"Well, Aveline also looked great also!" Elise shot in. Trying to make Aveline and Conner a thing.
"I think Jacob will win," Alexios said accidentally steering the conversation away "He has a lot of pent-up energy."
"I don't know Evie is a fast climber" Eivor countered. "Remember how fast she was on the rock wall"
"I think it will be a tie since they are twins and equally skilled" Arno stated crossing his arms.
"Lame! Pick a side" Maria argued "I say Evie will win she has more discipline". Everyone then started arguing about which twin would win. A few minutes later. Evie and Jacob walked down the staircase from the statue to the pedestal part. They both looked exhausted.
"I'm dying" Jacob groaned as he and Evie leaned over on one another. Struggling to get over to their friends.
"Who won?" Maria asked.
"We don't know. It was all a blur" Evie admitted. She and Jacob just got so competitive. Everyone then sighed but Arno.
"I'm technically right it's a tie" his fate lit up.
"Don't let it get to your head" Maria stated. After that Evie and Jacob needed a break. They all went to Central Park and ate ice cream. Now it was time for Rock Climbing.
"Okay I died and went to heaven" Jacob marveled as they walked in. The walls were super high and looked super fun to Jacob.
"It is a fun place" Desmond smiled as he walked behind Jacob. He was ready to climb and not be interrupted by Bellec.
"We need to make teams again" Ezio clapped his hand together. Ready to beat everyone. "I'll be a captain and we need one more person"
"Can I be one" Alexios spoke up. He was afraid everyone would say no but to his surprise, they all agreed. He knew he needed to get a lot of The Templar mindset out of him.
"Alright for my team I want I first want Arno" Ezio pointed to him. Arno smiled. He knew he was one of the most skilled climbers. Alexios then picked Jacob. Soon all the teams were picked and they were:

The number was uneven but to Eivor it felt right since he knew he was the slowest. They all broke off and started plotting. It was decided that Ezio would start with Arno since he was the fastest. Alexios started off with Eivor to get the slow person done first. Of course, when they started Arno was in the lead.
"It's funny" Aveline spoke up. She was next to Conner so far, the trip had been fine with him. "Last time we were on a team we all hated each other"
Conner nodded "I know. I'm glad we're on good terms now" Aveline gave a small smile. It was now an awkward silence. "Dobby and I aren't together anymore" Conner broke the silence. "I mean it was a mutual thing and I-"
"I heard" Aveline rushed in. "Sorry about that" she gave an awkward laugh. "I'm not a stalker though" she added that last part. "I just you know small school"
"Conner your turn" Alexios called out to him.
"I gotta go" Conner then ran off to climb. He was dying on the inside, he felt so stupid for blurting out that he and Dobby broke up.
Elise then moved up to Aveline "That was the most painful conversation."
Aveline then sighed and looked up "I know. It was hurting me too" She had no idea how Conner felt about her.
"You should make a move on him. I think he likes you" Elise saw how Conner just blurted how he and Dobby weren't dating anymore.
Aveline just shrugged. She watched Conner climb and was mesmerized by his grace. Climbing seemed like an instinct to him. Maybe she could talk to him at the club tonight.
It was now Jacob versus Desmond. They were both pumped to go. Jacob started strong but was losing stamina, he knew he should not have pushed it at the Statue of Liberty. Desmond ended up winning and poor Jacob just collapsed on the floor. He was tired.
"Jacob are you good" Eivor walked over to him.
"He's fine" Evie rolled her eyes. "This is what you get for overdoing it"
"Leave me alone" Jacob mumbled into the floor. The rest of the rock climbing went great for everyone else, even Evie. They all then went to the hotel they were staying at to get ready. All the girls were rooming together. Desmond, Ezio, and Conner were sharing a room. Then the rest of the boys shared a room.
"You must ask Conner out tonight," Elise said pulling her hair up and looking at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a green cocktail dress.
Aveline sighed "I don't know. What if it's awkward" Aveline laid back on the bed. She was ready to go. She decided not to look her best. She just wore a red jumpsuit and kept her hair the same.
Maria then snorted "It can't be any more awkward than the last few days". Maria was also dressed in a more casual outfit nothing too formal. She was not one to dress up.
"Maria be nice." Evie snapped at her. She then looked at Aveline. "Just try I think Conner likes you."
"True" Aveline replied. She then sat up. "Are we ready?" She looked at everyone Elise looked stunning whereas everyone else was more casual.
"Yes, I need a drink" proclaimed Maria. They all then walked to the lobby where the boys were waiting.
"You look nice Elise" Arno blushed. He made sure to dress up. He refused to be the boyfriend who did not apply themselves. Eivor and Jacob joked with him about it, but he laughed and rolled his eyes.
"I'm glad to see some people dressed up" Ezio joked. He was wearing a custom Gucci Suit.
"Be nice" Conner lightly poked him in the ribs. He was just wearing his leather jacket and jeans. He never understood how Ezio could dress like that.
"For real some of us like to underdress" Desmond chipped in. He of course was wearing his gray sweatshirt.
Maria nodded "Glad to see some people with common sense" she high-fived him.
"Well, you better all look good at the Brotherhood Formal," Ezio told them. The Brotherhood Formal was all about dressing up.
"Don't worry we all know I can dress up there" Desmond assured him. The first year they had the formal Desmond was going to wear just a polo but Ezio threatened his life. After that Desmond knew he had to dress to impress for the Formal.
"Well enough with fashion let's go party!" Jacob cheered. They then all walked over to the club. It was only a few blocks away. They arrived at the club and saw how swanky it was and walked in thanks to Ezio and his power of persuasion.
"You guys can call me the Prince of Persuasion" Ezio joked as they walked in. They then got a corner booth.
"I'm not drinking so I can watch everyone's stuff," Evie told them. She did not want to get arrested and got too tired when she drank. She sat down and everyone soon crowded the booth.
"First rounds on me!" Ezio cheered. The shots were then brought out and everyone started taking them except for Evie.
"This is amazing" Alexios screamed over the loud music and excitement. "I feel like this is the first time I've had fun!"
"I'm glad you're our friend now" Jacob screamed back. "When I first met you, I was scared of you!"
"Sorry!"
"I love you guys" Arno yelled. Elise was not hugging him snuggled up close.
"I love you, Arno!" Elise told him planting her lips on his.
"Disgusting!" Maria hollered taking a shot. Evie laughed and rolled her eyes. She liked being sober and watching her friends make fools of themselves.
Everyone then walked to the dance floor after getting enough liquid courage. Evie was excited to watch this. Jacob started just moving, it could not be called dancing, Evie started laughing. She loved watching Jacob be a fool. Elise and Arno were dancing with one another laughing and smiling. Maria and Desmond were filming each other and sending it to Altair and Malik.
"Altair I wish you could carry me!" Maria slurred laughing. "I guess I need Desmond to do it. You guys look similar."
"For real!" Desmond turned the phone on him "Don't get jealous". He and Maria burst into even more laughter.
Eivor was drinking a beer and just stood there. He was not a dancer. Alexios and Ezio on the other hand were killing it. Ezio had been to his fair share of Italian Clubs and knew how to wow the dance floor.
"Hey, Eivor!" Evie screamed over the music. "Do you see Aveline"
Eivor then looked around the dance floor. He could see more since he was taller than Evie. "I think I see her dancing with someone near the corner. I can't really tell who it is" He was squinting. The club was dark.
"She is not ending up on Law-and-Order SVU" Evie ran over there concerned her roomie might be getting kidnapped. Evie got closer and the club was now darker and louder. She then saw a hulking giant basically grinding on Aveline! Evie ran up even faster "Get off her" she slapped him hard on the face.
"The hell!" Conner's face came into view and he was now holding it.
Evie's hand then flew up to her face "Oh my god I'm so sorry I thought you were a creep. Wait what are you guys-" Evie then looked at Aveline and saw her hair was messy and her lipstick was smeared. Evie then made a face of realization "Sorry I'm leaving!"
"Wait let me come with you!" Aveline grabbed Evie's hand and dragged her to the Bathroom.
"What is going on?" Evie asked Aveline was basically dragging her across the club. The bathroom was significantly quieter.
"We both had alcohol in our system and I don't know- I enjoyed it so much! I think we could have gotten further if it weren't for you" Aveline had her hands on her head confused about what to do.
"I'm sorry I interrupted I thought you were getting kidnapped" Evie apologized.
"I needed you to interrupt. I just can't be with him, but I want to and ughh" Aveline then slid down to the bathroom. The alcohol was hitting.
The bathroom door then swung open, and Maria walked in. "You guys good" she saw Evie looking frantic and Aveline looking defeated on the bathroom floor.
"What are you doing here," Aveline asked a bit aggressively.
"I gotta piss" Maria snapped back. She did not like her attitude.
"Sorry, Maria. I found Aveline and Conner grinding into one another and I thought Conner was a creep, so I slapped him. Turns out they both wanted it. " Evie explained. "And now we are here hiding"
Maria's face then lit up "Damn Aveline. Go for it girl"
"I can't!" Aveline screamed. "I mean I should I just... I don't know"
"I mean Conner liked it you guys were on each other" Evie shuddered. She was not one for PDA.
"Oh for real," Maria asked even more intrigued.
"Okay, I'm going to get sober and worry about this later. I don't want to make a dumb mistake" Aveline then stood up and fixed her hair and makeup.
All three girls then walked back to the booth. Ready to take on anything.
Conner saw them and ran up to Ezio on the dance floor. "Ezio! Aveline and I just made out and now it's weird"
Ezio gave him a huge smile "That's great!" He slurred.
"It's not great! It's weird!" Conner snapped.
Ezio was too drunk to deal with this. "I have too much alcohol in my system. Tell me more when I'm sober"
Conner rolled his eyes and just stormed off. He went to the bar and got water to sober up. He was done drinking for a while.
The rest of the night went great. Alexios had so much fun with his new friends. He never knew how much he missed out on until now. Desmond ended up meeting the head bartender and got great tips from him. Evie, Maria, and Aveline laughed the whole night watching Arno try to impress Elise with his singing. Ezio was amazing on the dance floor, and everyone was jealous. That night they all walked back to the hotel laughing and giggling. Except for Conner he just felt weird. That next day they all went back to Davenport. Aveline figured she could talk to Conner closer to the Formal dance and figure out what to do. There really was no reason for them to be this weird with one another. She had no idea how they ended up together but it just happened.
