Chapter 2
He was so focused on his daughter and friend that he didn't notice Draco approaching them accompanied by Regulus. He noticed them only when he was attacked by the younger of the Black brothers.
Reg stepped behind him and with a firm motion turned him in place so that Severus was in his arms. He didn't know what it was about the younger wizard that he succumbed to it every time he looked into his silver eyes. He gave in to him even now. Even though he wasn't one to show affection in public, he allowed himself to be kissed.
"Could you please stop doing that?" - Severus heard the concern in Hermione's voice.- "I've barely gotten used to my father finally falling in love. Let me get used to my father having a BOYFRIEND before you start making out in public."
He knew his daughter didn't mind. As soon as she was old enough to start talking to her about feelings, he made it clear to her that he was bisexual. He explained to her that he had always been bisexual. Thanks to this, he was able to raise her to be a tolerant young witch. One that had no problem with the fact that someday a man might appear by his side. However, that didn't changed that it was hard for her to come to terms with the fact that she no longer had him exclusively.
"Sweetie, I was just marking my area." - Reg chuckled at the obvious confusion on their faces. - "Walking up here, I noticed my brother with his friends. James Potter stared at you the way I do when you serve my favorite chocolate cake on Sundays."
At this point, Lucius snorted, then said - "You always stare at Severus the same way. Wait..." - The blond's eyes widened as if he realized something. - "...are you trying to tell us that Potter, James Potter likes Severus? It's ridiculous."
"That would be funny too." - Draco said pulling Hermione to him. - "That would mean Potter's fondness for Snape is hereditary. After all, Harry has a crush on Hermione."
"Draco, aren't you exaggerating?" - The girl hit Draco's shoulder trying to break free from his embrance. - "Harry is my friend!"
"Draco... It seems to me that not only this is hereditary in the Snape family." Lord Black chuckled. "Hermione is as oblivious to Mr. Potter's feelings as Severus was to mine."
He wasn't listening to their conversation anymore.
Contrary to what Regulus thought, he was aware that the younger Slytherin had a crush on him. However, he was naive enough to allow himself to have feelings for another boy. He sighed as he remembered how infatuated he was with James Potter when he met him. Luckily for him, with each prank the Marauders made, his infatuation wore off. And meeting Jean had cured him of any sentiment he had about his feelings for the handsome Gryffindor and his friendship with Lily Evans.
He looked at his little patchwork family and smiled. His life was good. He couldn't have wished for a better one, given the circumstances. Sometimes he missed his wife, but he knew she wouldn't want him to be unhappy.
He felt a blush appear on his cheeks as he reached out for Regulus' hand. And as he left the platform, he didn't notice several pairs of eyes watching their every move.
