Chapter 4
Sango is sitting in her assigned seat in her homeroom class. "I miss Kagome already." She drums her fingers on the desktop. The door opens up with the teacher and a girl comes in after her. "Ok class, this here is Kikyo Miko." The teacher speaks up to the class. Sango couldn't believe her eyes, Kikyo almost looks like Kagome's long lost twin. But there are a few characteristics that are different. Her hair is long coal black to her waist, her eyes are dirty brown, and her skin is pale. Otherwise she's wearing their school uniform instead of the one from Shikon High.
"Sango raise your hand please." The teacher calls out to her. Sango does just that. "Kikyo, you can next to her." She informs Kikyo as she begins her lesson. Once Kikyo sits next to Sango, Sango gives a friendly. "Hi there." She greets. Kikyo smiles, "Hi." Afterwards, nothing else happened after the greeting. Throughout the day Sango tried everything to get to know Kikyo but nothing seemed to work. 'Might as well let Kagome know.' She thought to herself.
By the end of the day, Sango is going through her locker until a familiar voice catches her attention. "Kikyo. It's been a long time." Sango glances to see Kikyo in Naraku's arms. "Everything is going according to our plan." Kikyo said to him. Sango remains silent so that she wouldn't get caught. "It won't be long now." Kikyo kisses him on the lips, which Naraku hungrily kisses her back. Sango decides to leave the place and inform Kagome about the girl.
Kagome's first half of her new school of the program is going ok so far. From the looks at it, it'd be as if she's still in her old one. Like what the teacher said to the class, there are cameras in every aspect of the building. "Is it just me or is this place kind of an eavesdropper?" Kagome asks Inuyasha as she, him and Miroku are having lunch on the roof of the building.
"It's just a system upgrade. Even though we have our privacy up here." Inuyasha replies casually. Kagome looks around the roof, and doesn't see any cameras near them. "So is the school just cautious about their system? Did something happen before the program?" Kagome the two guys. They look at each other. "There was one incident…
Flashaback
"…about a month ago." Inuyasha spoke so far. The school is in complete silence as there's a test going on. "Every student had to be ready for this test. This will let the faculty know if any of the student cheated." Inuyasha explains as the scene shows him, and Miroku doing their part. Just then a light shines down on a desk. "Before taking a test, the teachers have told to ignore such things because it'll distract us." Inuyasha explains. Even though he's focusing on his test, his sensitive hearing gets the better of them. "I swear I didn't do it." One of the students was being escorted out of the room by the teacher. 'After the test was finished, I was told that one of the students who took the test before him, gave him the answers through an earpiece." Inuyasha said.
End of Flashabck
Kagome never expected something like this would happen. "Was the student allowed to make up for the test?" She asks with concern. "Afraid not. You see if any student were to cheat, the faculty informs the parents, and they have to come up with a solution for a punishment." Miroku spoke this time instead. "Suspension?" Kagome tilts her head. Miroku shakes his head. "No. it's too intense. Besides there are worse ways than getting suspended." The bell rings and they head out to their next class which they all have together. When they enter the assigned room. The are tables of science equipment with beakers and test tubes. 'Oh boy. I just hope I don't blow up the school.' Kagome jokes in her head.
The bell rings to let the student depart the school grounds. Kagome gathers her belongings. "Ready to go home?" Inuyasha asks her Kagome. "Yeah." She smiles back. "Miroku will be joining us as well." Inuyasha adds in. Kagome looks to see Miroku waving at them. "Oh ok. I don't mind."
They get into Inuyasha's car. Inuyasha opens the door for Kagome. "Thank you." Kagome said nicely as he and Miroku get in. "So, we're going to drop off Kagome at her house?" Miroku asks Inuyasha as he leaves the school parking lot. "Yeah. But the thing is that I live in a shrine." Kagome corrects him about her living establishment.
Miroku looks intrigued. "Really? I had no idea you lived in one." Kagome nods. "Shocking isn't?" She smiles. The car turns to her street. Kagome spots her friend by the bottom of the stairs that go up the hill where the shrine is located. "Hey who's that?" Miroku smiles pervertedly. "Oh that's my best friend Sango." Kagome answers him. Inuyasha pulls the car to the curb and turns off the vehicle.
Miroku gets out of the car quickly. "Well hello there, beautiful." He greets Sango with a bow. Sango looks confused at this guy. She spots Kagome coming out after with the other guy from the driver side. "Sango." Kagome calls and runs up and hugs her. "Oh Kagome. One day without you around is boring." Sango returns the hug. "Tell me who are these two?" She asks Kagome.
"My apologies, I'm Miroku Houshi." Miroku introduces himself. Sango bows to him. "Sango Taijiya." Sango gives her name. "And this here is…" Kagome starts off. "…Inuyasha Takahashi." Inuyasha gives his name. Sango smiles. "Pleasure." Miroku smugly takes Sango's free hand. "My, you're a keeper. I must ask you something." Sango blushes at him. "What?" She manages to speak. "Will you bear my child?" Miroku boldly asks her. Sango spots Kagome with an awkward look while Inuyasha covers his face his hand.
Before Sango could give her answer, she feels her backside being rubbed. She growls and slaps him across the face, leaving a red handprint on the boy's face. "Don't you ever touch me again." She warns him before grabbing Kagome's hand and drag her up the shrine steps. "See ya tomorrow." Inuyasha waves up to her with silly smile.
When the girls left the stairs, Miroku elbows Inuyasha on the side. "Looks like someone's in love." He teases. Inuyasha wraps Miroku's neck with his arm. "Like hell. You know fully well I have Kikyo." He growls back. "Sure you do. But from the looks of it…" Inuyasha's grip tightens a bit. "Don't you dare." He growls way more dangerously than before. "Ok ok ok." Miroku surrenders as Inuyasha releases his hold on him. They get into Inuyasha's car and head to Miroku's house before Inuyasha goes
home.
