EPISODE 6: PREHISTORIC PERIL
Last time on Total Drama Metamorphia…
Our campers took a trip deep into the diamond mines in order to find five pieces of McLeanium. But it seemed that they were more interested in causing drama between themselves, which hey, I'm not against it.
Let's start with the Titans, where the nefarious couple of Harper and Joshua were no more, which brought tension to everyone. Colleen had her heart messed with unknowingly by the sneaky Harper while Joshua found comfort in an unlikely recipient, Light. All the while Robin fully realized that he had feelings for Colleen all along. Only for that to go sour at the end.
The Beasts… oh boy. What seemed like a turnaround for the team, ended up with probably one of the most dramatic moments in Total Drama history. Wayne, a guy who was ever so conflicted with his hatred for Miriam, contemplated on making an extreme action to get rid of the dancer. With talks from Shane, it seemed he was going to make the right choice. But after a tough conversation with Harper, Wayne would eventually go BOOM! And thus ending the long-standing iconic feud of the Beasts.
So how will things fare now for them? Will it be the Titans' turn to fall apart? And who will be the next to get eliminated? Find out right here, right now on Total Drama Metamorphia!
(cue the opening intro)
It was evening by the stream. Colleen had the note in her hand, looking it over until she saw the tree stump that she was told to wait at. Curious as to what would happen, she comfortably took her seat, looking around while her legs were crossed. The sounds of the rushing water behind her caused her to not realize that someone had approached her. When she saw who it was, she smiled brightly. "Oh, hey there Harper," she greeted, her voice raising a little in pitch.
Harper seemed to have a little bit of fresh makeup on him, making his features pop more. His lips were painted a deep magenta and he had a much rosier and smoother blush applied to his cheeks, which made his smile back at Colleen even prettier. "Well hello, Colleen," he said, standing over with his arms held behind his back. "What's that in your hand?"
Colleen revealed it to Harper. "A note from Luna asking me to wait here at eight o'clock," she explained with a shrug. "It's eight now, so I'm not sure what she is doing."
Harper sat down right next to Colleen, flattening his skirt over his thighs. "Well you know how unpredictable she can be," he added. "I was just on my way to go get washed up before I saw you here."
"Oh yeah? Well if you need me to go so you can have privacy, I will," Colleen offered.
Harper shook his head. "Well since you're here, how about you and I just talk, okay?" he suggested.
"Oh, I see," Colleen replied nervously. "Is this about what happened earlier?"
"Oh no no no," Harper denied, patting Colleen on the lap. "We're passed that, remember? No sweetie, I just want to talk to get to know you some more. How are you feeling?"
"I guess I'm alright," Colleen said awkwardly. "The challenge was pretty stressful for me but I'm glad we won."
Harper scooted just a little closer. "So am I," he added, staring right into Colleen's eyes. This made the girl blush a little to which Harper pressed on. "I'm sorry for abandoning you also. I was a little moody at the time."
Colleen twiddled with her thumbs as she unconsciously looked away from Harper's gaze. "You were going through a break up," she explained. "I understood how you felt. I was just trying to be there for you."
"And I appreciate it so much, I really do," Harper replied. "You're honestly my best friend."
Colleen faced Harper again with an intrigued look on her face. "Really?" she asked.
"Of course," Harper assured, holding her by the chin. "But you know… I still wouldn't mind being more than friends."
Colleen but her lip as she slowly pulled away Harper's hand. "I.. I don't know if I want to do that," she confessed with some regret. She noticed Harper's face and quickly went timid. "Please don't get mad at me..."
Harper eyed her closely, possibly thinking of ways to change her mind. Instead of getting upset like last time, he simply sat up straight and placed a hand on his chin. "You struggle with love, is that it?" he asked.
"Well, I don't know if it's exactly that but I, uh…" Colleen trailed off, as if she was hesitant to carry on but when Harper scooted just a bit closer with a curious smile on his face, she felt she had to. "I had a terrible break-up… Just like you…"
Harper raised his eyebrows. "Ohhh, I see," he said, taking a minute to think. "Did he cheat on you?"
Colleen sighed and looked down at the ground. "With my friend too," she confessed defeatedly.
Harper frowned and clenched his fist. "That skeez," he growled.
Colleen crossed her arms and slouched over. She had many running thoughts in her head, trying not to dwell too much with her past. "Hey Harper," she finally spoke, her voice low and careful. "Do you think I'm a good enough person?"
Harper was a bit taken back by this question but kept up his act with an assuring smile. "Oh Colleen, you are absolutely good enough," he soothed, rubbing her on the back softly. "So good in fact, that I'm a bit jealous."
Colleen perked her head up and furrowed her eyebrows. "What do you mean?" she asked.
Harper grabbed Colleen's hand and locked eyes with her. "I mean that you…" he paused a little, noticing something in the distance through the corner of his eye. That's when he took action and pressed his lips against Colleen's, sharing his spit and love. Colleen seemed to enjoy the surprise kiss so much that she even reached out and held Harper's head with her hand.
They kissed for a few minutes, it seemed like, before the sound of something hitting the ground stopped them. Harper and Colleen both looked around but couldn't really see what it was. Harper wiped his lips with his wrist. "Not sure what that was," he said. "Too busy, you know, kissing."
"Yeah…" Colleen replied, her face all red and flustered. "I uhhh… I think I want to kiss you again."
Harper chuckled and stood up, caressing Colleen's chin gently. "Next time, sweetheart," he said with a wink.
Colleen crossed her legs bashfully before standing up. "Well, it's way past eight and nothing has happened," she said, looking at the note. "I think I'm just gonna head back to the camp. You still planning on washing up?"
Harper nodded and held her hand for a sec. "I'll see you soon, my love," he farewelled.
Colleen walked away, stomach full of butterflies and cheeks full of red but she was happy. It was the greatest feeling in the world to her. She seemed to also have a bit more pep in her step which led her to unknowingly step onto something. She looked down to see an apple and as she scanned the ground more, she eventually found a picnic basket with a lot of food scattered around it. She was a tad bewildered, poking at the basket with her foot before she shrugged and kept going.
Over by the Titans' camp, Joshua sat by the fire, feeling the calming warmth before looking up to an approaching person. "Sup Light," he greeted with a smile as the martial artist stood next to him. "Did a little evening training, I'm guessing?"
Light sat down next to him with a firm nod. "Where's everybody else?" she asked.
"Luna called it a night early," Joshua explained, pointing at the tent that she was sleeping in. "Said she was, like, too exhausted after supposedly 'carrying the whole team on her back'. Her exact words, not mine."
"Tch," Light smirked, shaking her head.
"Robin's planning a picnic, I think, with Colleen," Joshua added before shooting a proud smile at her. "He's finally gonna ask her out so that's cool."
"I see," Light replied before nudging Joshua in the arm a little. "It was a long time coming, huh."
"Yeah man," Joshua agreed with a small chuckle. "And as for Harper, I don't know where she is but I also don't give two trucks about her."
"Me neither," Light replied, scowling at the mere mention of his name. "She's nothing but a devil."
"And not even a cool one, dude," Joshua added, growing a sly grin. "She thinks she can, like, get away with being a complete jerk to everyone. I'm tired of it, frankly. All I'll say is that she better, like, watch out and stuff because she's got a lotta karma coming her way soon."
"What do you have in mind?" Light asked, feeling a bit intrigued.
"I'm not sure yet," Joshua explained with a devious grin. "But you'll know what it is sooner or later, dude."
"Well, I can't wait… dude," Light felt immediately awkward after adding that last part which caused Joshua to chuckle. The most he ever did so far, in fact.
"You're awesome, man," Joshua complimented, his teeth reflecting the glow of the fire. Light simply shrugged as she didn't exactly know how to take the compliment. She just sat back with him, enjoying the fire together… That is until Robin came running in with a face full of tears. "Whoa dude," Joshua remarked with a bit of shock.
Robin frantically walked around the camp, wiping tears as he did. "I can't believe this is happening," he sobbed frustratingly. "I should've never bothered with this at all!"
Joshua got up and approached the hysterical man while Light remained seated but watched along silently and worryingly. "Hey dude, what's going on?" he asked as Robin swapped his frantic pacing with some deep breaths. "Did Colleen, like, reject you or something?"
"No…" Robin whimpered, his voice cracking a little. "They were kissing each other."
"They?" Light responded, tilting her head with intrigue.
Joshua looked down at the ground, almost immediately knowing who it was. "Harper…" he grumbled.
"I can't freaking take this!" Robin growled, stamping his foot on the ground. "I knew it was a bad idea all along. I should've never listened to any of you."
Joshua shook his head and held Robin by the shoulders. "Dude, you need to pull yourself together," he demanded. "Look at me."
Robin stared right into Joshua's eyes, his tears blurring his vision. "You don't have to, like, beat yourself up over this, man," Joshua continued. "This is an unfortunate situation but it's best to, like, keep your cool, okay dude?"
Robin sniffed and wiped some tears. "Okay…" he whined quietly. "I'm sorry."
"Come here, man," Joshua said, pulling him in for a hug, caressing his head shortly after. Robin cried a little more as Joshua let him release his pain onto his shoulder. The bystander to this, Light, stared at the fire, reflecting over everything that had happened as well as her past conversations with Colleen.
And with that thought, a familiar voice could be heard. "What's going on?" said Colleen as she made her way back to the camp. She could see Robin crying onto Joshua's shoulder, looking absolutely worried. "Robin, are you okay sweetie?"
Robin didn't respond to her at all which led to her being even more worried. Joshua stepped back from the embrace. "Come on, let's go for a walk and, like, clear your head a little," he offered as he and Robin quietly left the camp, leaving the two girls to themselves.
Colleen approached Light, fiddling with her hair. "What happened?" she asked with concern as she sat down next to her.
"You don't know?" Light asked, raising an eyebrow. "You were part of it."
"What?" Colleen asked, feeling a weight sink in her stomach.
"Robin saw you and Harper kiss," Light explained. "He was gonna ask you out, you know."
Colleen gasped and covered her mouth. "Oh my God… the picnic basket…" she said, her eyes mortified. "Oh no, I-I-I didn't know." She slumped down and sunk her head. "Oh, I feel so terrible now."
Light sighed and looked off into the woods. "It seemed multiple people wanted to date you," she stated. "And Harper struck first… unfortunately."
Colleen rocked back and forth, cradling her legs to her chest. "He was such a good friend to me," she said. "And then this happens and now I'm afraid that I ruined it all. Ohhh, what am I gonna do about this, Light? I never wanted to hurt Robin like this."
"It's already happened," Light answered with a headshake. "And it wasn't your fault. He just took too long."
Colleen rested her chin on her knees with a guilty look on her face. "I could sense that he was into me," she confessed. "And I tried to imply the same and everything but he never did anything about it. And well, Harper was the one who did… I'm so sorry…"
Light rubbed the bridge of her nose before staring off into the woods. "I still think you should be wary of Harper," she suggested. "Dating or not, be careful."
Colleen lifted her head and rolled her eyes. "I told you I don't like this so stop," she demanded.
"Fine, whatever," Light replied with a sigh of mild frustration. There was a bit of an awkward silence before Light pulled something out of her pocket. She handed it to Colleen. "Saved you a candy bar."
Colleen stared at the chocolate goodie before taking it with a sigh. "Robin helped Harper and I make amends," she confessed. "And this is how I repay him…"
"Made amends?" Light asked, raising an eyebrow.
Colleen brushed away some of her hair. "She got upset at me for bringing up Joshua during the challenge," she explained, before slouching her head back to her knees again. "Why do I keep hurting so many people today? I'm not a bad person, am I?"
Light felt her gut sink a little, seeing Colleen filled with so much guilt. "Colleen…" but before she could finish, Harper showed up dressed in his pajamas. This caused Light to silence herself and frown.
"Yoohoo!" Harper greeted, waving his hand rapidly. "Colleen darling, wanna set up those blankets now."
Colleen lifted her head up and looked at Light for a sec, who shrugged. She then picked herself up and walked towards Harper, looking a little despondent. Harper noticed this and grabbed her by the hand. "Everything okay, dear?" he asked.
"I guess I will be," Colleen replied quietly. "Let's go in the tent."
"Right there with you, baby," Harper flirted as he led Colleen inside, leaving Light alone by the fire. She picked at a few strands of grass before clenching a bunch and tearing it right out, her face in a deep snarl.
(xXxXx)
Light: I do not like this one bit. Harper is toying with Colleen, I just know it. (clenches her fist) I don't care if Colleen says she doesn't like it, she needs to see the truth before she gets backstabbed by that liar! (smashes fist against the confessional, creating a hole) Oh, I hope Joshua has something real good planned for Harper. Payback's a bloody bitch.
Harper: (stares at the hole before shrugging it off and facing the camera) Colleen told me Robin saw our little kiss. (laughs provocatively) Oh how sad… not! (laughs some more) Consider this revenge for voting for me that one time. Oh yeah, I knew it was you, Robin. Payback's a cute bitch, don't you think? (laughs some more before the confessional ends mid-laugh)
(xXxXx)
The camera then flashed to the Bionic Beasts' camp. They had returned from their elimination ceremony and were grouped together around the campfire. Miriam hunched over on her bench, thinking of something. "You know, I was really willing to start things over with Wayne," she confessed. "Such a shame he had to ruin it all."
"Well, he's history now," Van added, who sat right next to her. "Let's focus on the now. We four have been through thick or thin. But y'all know we are resilient. There's no quit in this team." Miriam and her then shared a fist bump.
"It'll be a tough night for me," Shane admitted, who sat across from the two girls. "Perhaps I didn't say the right things?"
Miriam looked up and furrowed her eyebrows."Nah, I overheard what you said to him," she said. "You gave some great advice."
"Then what exactly happened…?" Shane asked despondently. "Why the sudden change of heart?"
"Beats me…" Miriam replied, slumping back down again before remembering something. She perked her head up again. "Wait, Shane."
"What is it?" the superhero responded.
"Did you by any chance come across Harper during the challenge?" Miriam asked.
Shane scratched his head in thought before nodding. "Why yes," he affirmed. "She wanted me to be with her before the cave monster chased us."
Miriam rubbed her chin. "Wayne mentioned speaking with Harper prior to his stunt," she explained. "Now he could be lying but something tells me that we might have our culprit."
"You think Harper goaded him into blowing you up?" Van asked, raising an eyebrow curiously.
"Maybe," Miriam replied with a shrug. "She might've said some things to him to make him change his mind. It might explain why he said his actions were for her as well…"
"That makes sense," Tala, who had been quiet for the whole time, interjected. "People can be easily swayed with words… I would know…"
"All in all, just keep an eye out on Harper," Miriam continued, glancing around at her teammates. "Don't trust a single word she says, understand?" Everyone else nodded in agreement. Miriam then pointed back at one of the tents, shooting a smile towards Shane's direction. "Looks like you'll have the tent to yourself now."
"It'll be a quiet night for sure," Shane said with a sigh. "But I'll be alright."
Miriam stretched her arms out and yawned. "Welp, I'm beat," she said. "I'm gonna get some sleep."
"Same," Shane added before the two went into their respective tents, leaving just Tala and Van by the campfire.
Van watched Tala calmly. The mathematician had her arms crossed but seemed to be in better spirits. Van got up from her bench and sat next to Tala on hers, wrapping an arm around her for a quick hug. "How you feelin', baby girl?" she asked, letting go of the embrace.
Tala shrugged. "I'm fine now," she shared.
"Yeah, it's been a rough day for the Beasts, huh?" Van replied, gently rubbing Tala's backside.
"That's like the third time we could've said that," Tala added bluntly, causing Van to giggle.
"Right," she agreed, squeezing Tala's shoulder a tad. "We really need a break, don't we?"
"Well with Wayne gone, there shouldn't be any more drama," Tala stated, before sighing longingly. "I wish I wasn't so quick to judge Miriam. If only I had known what would happen, I would've had her back from the beginning."
Van shook her head assuredly. "Let's not think about that," she suggested. "The past is the past, okay baby girl?"
"Okay," Tala replied quietly. "Thanks." Van simply responded with a smooch on the cheek before leading Tala into the girl's tent, the night finally coming to a close.
But the night went by quickly and it was soon morning at the Titans' camp. Inside one of the tents, Luna was consoling Robin, who was rather despondent as he sat cross-legged. "I can't believe Harper would go and ruin my picnic like that," she babbled. "If I was you, I would've strangled that nasty gremlin on the spot."
Robin sighed in response, sharing no words. Luna frowned and side-hugged him tightly. "Oh Robin," she said. "It's okay. You'll get your revenge."
"I don't care about revenge," Robin replied emptily.
Luna perked her head up and looked confused. "Are you kidding me?" she questioned. "She stole your girl!"
Robin shook his head defeatedly and slouched over some more. "She wasn't my girl," he admitted.
"Oh come on," Luna groaned. "I wanted some anger out of you, darnit!"
"Luna please," Robin demanded, rolling his eyes a little. "I don't need you to make things worse." Luna pouted and sat back with her arms crossed, like a spoiled child.
Suddenly, Harper's head poked in the tent with a worried look on his face. "Robin, can I talk with you for a sec?" he asked.
"No, you can't!" Luna interjected, getting irrationally angry at him. "You dirty homewrecker!"
Harper rolled his eyes, ignoring her comment. "Please Robin, I need to talk with you," he pleaded.
Robin sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose before looking directly into Harper's eyes. "If you have something to say to me then say it here," he suggested sternly.
Harper looked a little frustrated but obliged. "Fine," he sighed. "Look, I'm so sorry about what happened last night. I had no idea you were planning on asking Colleen out and I just saw her alone by the stream and I just… It was a spur of the moment thing, okay? Despite what Luna may say, I did not mean to 'steal your girl'. Will you please please please forgive me?"
"No!" Luna interjected once again.
Robin, however, seemed to be thoroughly thinking it through before slowly nodding his head. "Yeah, no hard feelings," he forgave. "I was just too slow, I guess."
"Aww, it'll be okay Robin," Harper reassured, hiding his true feelings almost too well. "You will find the girl of your dreams someday, I promise. I mean after all, you're on a reality TV show watched by millions. People will watch this and absolutely adore you, just like I do."
Robin sighed and fiddled with the tag of a nearby blanket. "Thanks…" he replied. Luna rolled her eyes, clearly frustrated that this wasn't some kind of blowout while Harper smiled cutely before leaving.
As he walked towards his tent, Joshua paced up right alongside him. "You are so not sorry, dude," he said.
Harper rolled his eyes. "And what do you want?" he asked with some sass.
"I want an apology, man," Joshua demanded. "A real one and not a fake one like you gave Robin."
Harper shook his head, stopping right by his tent entrance. "An apology?" he scoffed. "How about an apology from you for breaking up with me?"
"Uhhh, you're the one who broke up with me, dude," Joshua corrected with a smirk.
Harper froze awkwardly before shaking it off. "Well whatever, you deserved it anyways," he replied as he entered the tent, quickly ending this conversation.
Joshua just stared at the tent with a stoic expression on his face. "Karma's coming soon," he muttered to himself before deciding to have a quick peak in the tent. Harper was fluffing up a stuffed bunny of his. When he noticed Joshua, he glared right at him to which the skateboarder smirked in response.
(xXxXx)
Joshua: Jackpot, dude. (slowly grimaces until he's got a full blown villainous smile)
(xXxXx)
Deep in the woods, Van and Tala were looking for food to eat back at their camp. They also kept things slow and casual, using this opportunity to have some simple one on one time. Tala carried some peaches, counting them with her eyes. "Eight means two each," she murmured.
Van nodded along as she held onto some carrots. "You know, I wonder how the island gets more food despite us taking a lot of it already," she pondered.
"I mean, the simple explanation is that Chris or whoever does it, restocks the supply while the island is morphed," Tala suggested analytically. "Since we only eat before and after each challenge, that would be the perfect time to do so."
Van smirked a little, finding Tala's explanation both reasonable and amusing. "You're pretty smart," she complimented. "I would've never thought of that."
"It seemed pretty logical," Tala added with a shrug.
"Right, right," Van replied. "Well, I guess when it comes down to it, logic can pretty much explain everything… except Chris' ego."
This caused Tala to chuckle a little which made Van smile. "I have no idea why that fool doesn't like you," she remarked. "Like, does he have some sort of a vendetta against you or something?"
"I don't know," Tala answered with a shrug. "He just has it out for me because I guess I'm easy to pick on…"
"A total jerk is what he is then," Van said, shaking her head in disapproval. "He also gives Miriam crap but honestly that one I can understand. I'll admit, while it's amusing, I do think girl needs to chill before she gets herself into some trouble."
"Chris won't do anything like that," Tala assured. "I almost feel like he enjoys her banter because it never seems to bother him that much."
"I guess you might be right," Van agreed. "She does have some pretty good comebacks."
"Perhaps. Although, I do wonder why she's so feisty sometimes," Tala pondered.
"That's jus' the way she is," Van explained.
"Yeah but like you said, there's always a logical reason for everything," Tala countered.
"Well maybe you should ask her personally then," Van suggested. "Honestly, I think you and homegirl should really hang out some time. Get to know each other better and all that."
"I suppose," Tala said with an indecisive shrug.
Van furrowed her eyebrows a little. "You still afraid of her or something?" she asked.
Tala shook her head. "Not really," she denied. "I'm just not sure how to approach her with deep questions without coming off as just weird."
Van laughed, totally relating to the sentiment. "Jus' keep it simple and the big questions will come naturally," she instructed. "Miriam is surprisingly easy to talk to. It'll be chill, I promise."
Tala seemed to understand and the two girls eventually made it back to the camp, where Shane and Miriam were sitting on the ground and playing with some cards. The dancer laid out her hand, revealing them with pride. "That's a full house," she boasted, her cards being two aces and three sixes.
Shane clapped his hands, revealing that he had zilch. "Well done," he said, scooping up the cards into a pile. Miriam tossed the card box up in the air while he did before noticing the two others making their arrival.
"What y'all doing over there?" Van asked with a smile as her and Tala plopped their gatherings on a nearby table.
Miriam held the card box up before handing it to Shane. She then got up from the ground, wiped some dirt from her hands and went over to the two girls. "Today just feels so much more peaceful," she remarked. "I have a good feeling about our team. We are never gonna lose again."
Van leaned back on the table while Tala neatly organized their food. "You know what, I think so too," she agreed. "'Cause I jus' know the Titans aren't as synergized as we are."
"And I'm here for it," Miriam said, leaning back right next to Van.
Shane made his way to them after putting away his cards in his tent. "So what do you think we'll be doing this time?" he asked.
"If I were to predict such," Tala spoke, finishing up her organizing. "I would assume it'd be a desert. Maybe a western themed challenge."
"Shoot, I'd be down for that," Van said, miming some gunshots and making pew pew noises.
Miriam chuckled. "Yeah, light 'em up cowgirl," she quipped, making the others laugh. Miriam then held a fist out, looking determinedly at her teammates. "This team will be unstoppable no matter what. Put 'er here everyone." Shane put his fist out first, pressing it against Miriam's. Van was next and she eyed over to Tala, who shrugged and joined in.
(xXxXx)
Miriam: You know going into this show, I never really expected to be so attached to my team. I kinda expected to be a lone wolf but… (takes a slow breath) I would literally die for all of them. (crosses her arms) Wow, I've become such a softie. (laughs to herself)
(xXxXx)
Meanwhile, Light and Colleen were out in the woods, having just finished a bit of their training session. Colleen seemed to not be as focused as usual. Light took notice of this when Colleen stepped away and rolled her shoulders. "I don't know if I'm up for it anymore," she confessed with a sigh.
Light crossed her arms, sucking in her cheek. "This is about Robin, isn't it?" she asked.
Colleen reluctantly nodded, folding up her arms for comfort. "I still feel so bad…" she muttered.
"Have you tried talking about it with him?" Light asked, scooting up a little closer.
"I… No, I haven't," Colleen admitted, rubbing the back of her neck nervously. "I don't think he really wants to anyway."
Light stepped forward, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, you'll have your opportunity," she assured. "Don't beat yourself up over this either. Like I said, it wasn't your fault."
"It still feels like it is," Colleen refuted. "But I'll try to adhere to your advice."
"Good," Light said, patting her gently. Colleen leaned into Light, giving her a small hug while the martial artist was a little less awkward about it than last time. Afterwards, Colleen took a deep breath and held her fists out. Light nodded and stiffly held out her hand. "On we go."
Meanwhile back at the Titans' camp, Luna had just finished making soup for everyone. She had to reluctantly make a bowl for Harper after Robin demanded her to do so. While she was gathering her pots to go clean, Joshua nudged her in the arm. Luna gave him a look. "What is it, Tony Hawk?" she asked.
Joshua smirked and adjusted his beanie. "Want me to help you clean up?" he offered.
Luna thought for a second before nodding. "Sure thing," she agreed. "Follow me to the stream."
While the two would make their way to clean the dishes, Robin sat back against a log while Harper filed his nails. The femboy couldn't help but peek over to the impressionist, who still seemed bummed out. He grew a sly smirk before clearing his throat. "So, has Colleen talked to you yet?" he asked.
Robin shook his head slowly. "She's been training with Light since this morning," he explained.
Harper rolled his eyes. "I can't believe she's still trying to teach her that," he said, referring to Light. "Colleen is not the 'fighting type' at all. I think Light's just secretly a violence instigator."
Robin shrugged, placing his bowl to the side. "At least she has some friends to be with," he mentioned, despondently looking off to the side. "Ever since Ezra left, I've been really struggling to keep my head high."
"Interesting…" Harper remarked, staring at his now finished nails. "He was your best friend after all."
"Yeah…" Robin sighed. "And I know Joshua has been trying to fill that void for me, which is nice and all… but it's just not the same."
Harper smirked, putting away his file. "Oh trust me, you don't want Joshua as a friend," he warned.
"Why?" Robin asked with his eyebrows fully furrowed.
Harper eyed around the camp to make sure no one could hear their conversation. "Alright, hear me out," he said, leaning forward. "While I was dating Joshua, I quickly learned how much of a manipulative jerk he really was. Our break-up wasn't actually about me flirting around too much. I just had enough of his mind games."
Robin slowly nodded his head. "But he doesn't seem that way to me," he countered cautiously.
"Well, he's good at hiding it," Harper explained. "You gotta trust me on this. Joshua is not safe."
Robin rubbed his forearm nervously. "But he was the first to console me after what happened last night," he said quietly. "He seemed very genuine then."
"Whatever he can to get into people's good graces," Harper responded, noticing his words conflicting the guy. "He's already got Light under his firm grasp which I more or less couldn't care about since I don't like Light at all. But I do like you Robin. Do not let him manipulate you too."
Robin felt his heartbeat quicken and gulped nervously. "I don't know…" he said shakily.
Harper picked himself up to go sit right next to Robin. He placed a hand on the impressionist's shoulder. "If you need any more reason to believe me, he was the one that led the charge to vote off Ezra," he deceived, stroking a strand of Robin's hair. "I reluctantly followed along but I did feel very bad."
Robin moved away a bit and stared at Harper suspiciously. "But if I were to remember, you voted him off despite him trying to work with you to vote off Light," he interrogated. "And you just said you didn't like her."
"Which is more reason to believe that Joshua led the vote," Harper countered. "See, if I wasn't basically forced to vote for Ezra then yeah, I would've voted for Light. But I had to come up with some BS excuse for doing otherwise so I didn't make Joshua upset."
Robin took it all in while he stared into the woods, possibly thinking of all of the moments Joshua could've manipulated him. "Well… If you're being honest with me then I guess I will be a little more careful around him," he said.
Harper smirked before leaning in and smooching Robin on the cheek. "Thank goodness," he said. "I hope you, me and Colleen can work together and stop him soon."
"Yeah…" Robin said as he wiped his cheek. "You sure do like to kiss people a lot."
Harper giggled. "Sorry, I'm just a very affectionate person," he explained, pinching Robin in the cheek. "You're such a sweet guy. I really do hope you find love someday." Afterwards, he picked himself up, skipping towards his tent and leaving Robin alone.
Robin sat there tapping his fingers pensively against his lap. "Me too," he whispered.
(xXxXx)
Harper: Another job well done. (giggles sinisterly) This lying queen has both Robin and Colleen under his grasp now. Oh yes, I'm so running this team now.
(xXxXx)
Joshua and Luna were by the stream, scrubbing away at the pots. Luna hummed some chirpy tunes while Joshua smiled along. "That soup was good as usual, Luna," he complimented.
Luna stopped her humming to beam brightly. "Oh thank you, Tony Hawk," she appreciated. "You're so kind… unlike that nasty bitch, Harper."
Joshua smirked. "Don't like her either?" he asked.
"Nope, she ruined my picnic," Luna growled. "I wanted Robin to be angry at her but noooo, he's gotta be all forgiving and stuff. So boring! Mr. Rockstar buddy would've been mad, that's for sure."
Joshua chuckled as he wiped away some grime from one of the pots he had. "Well, I'm definitely mad if that helps," he said. "You weren't awake but Robin was, like, super upset and stuff. I just think he's too nice of a guy to hold a grudge, you know what I mean?"
"Like I said, so boring!" Luna huffed. "But… I guess I can't complain too much. I did let Harper get away with hitting me on the head."
Joshua dropped his pot in disbelief. "Wait a minute, you knew about that all along?" he questioned.
"Oh yeah," Luna affirmed. "But don't tell anybody, I'm hoping to eventually use that to blackmail Harper when the time is right… Hey wait a minute, how did you know?"
Joshua gulped nervously as his eyes widened. "I, uh, well you see," he struggled to come up with something so he decided to just be fully honest. "Okay so at the time, I had a crush on Harper, y'know? And well, I guess I just, like, let love blind me from telling the truth."
Luna stared at him for a bit before shaking her head. "My, my, that Harper truly is evil!" she remarked. "She even tricked you into lying for her. We gots to stop her quick!"
Joshua seemed relieved. "You won't, like, tell anyone that I covered for her, right?" he asked.
"Of course not, you were just a victim," Luna assured. "We need to get back at her somehow though. I want to see that maggot squirm!"
Joshua slowly grew a devious smirk. "I think I have an idea."
(xXxXx)
Luna: Oh ho ho ho, Joshua is a mad genius! (claps her hand excitedly) Ooh, I can't wait to see Harper's face when our plan goes through.
(xXxXx)
It was now time for the challenge as Chris called up everyone to meet him by the safe room. "Well, well, well," he greeted with a smug grin. "Down to just ten campers. Things are thinning out here in 'ol Metamorphia, don't ya think?"
"I mean sure I guess," Robin said with a shrug.
"Welp, after tonight we'll be down in the single digits," Chris explained as Chef opened up the safe room. "Step inside everyone, you know the drill."
Once everyone was stuffed inside, Chef did the usual and pressed a button on his remote. This time, the room did not sink into the ground. Instead, the woods and everything were swapped with much more tropical trees but unlike Tini Pipi Island, it was much more dense. The grass was moist and it seemed the air grew more humid.
Chris stepped out of the safe room first, wafting in the wet air before beckoning over everyone. "Your next morph is known as 'The Jungle Time Forgot'," he explained. "A dense and humid rainforest filled with, let's just say animals you won't see in other places."
Suddenly, a loud screeching roar sounded off in the distance, startling the contestants. Van shook her head. "Nuh uh, you have got to be joking," she refused. "Dinosaurs!?"
Chris snickered deviously, enjoying everyone's fear as you would expect. "Oh boy, this is gonna be fun," he said as the others stared at him. "Hey, it will be for me at least."
"So, what's our task today?" Tala asked.
"Shut up, I'm getting there!" Chris scolded to the shock of no one.
Van leaned over towards Tala. "Maybe just keep quiet from now on," she advised through a whisper. Tala just sighed in response.
Chris rubbed his temples before smiling again. "I'm feeling a bit nostalgic today," he said. "Do you remember our very first challenge?"
"You mean the one where we just needed to find our camps?" Colleen asked.
"Yep, also the one where you got absolutely trashed on," he affirmed with a snicker as Colleen sighed.
Miriam rolled her eyes. "Rehashing a challenge we've already done in this season," she scoffed. "Wow, I knew you were out of ideas but I didn't know it was by THIS much."
Chris ignored the jab with a smile. "Oh, you're so clueless," he responded smugly before pointing off into the jungle. "There's only one camp for you to find this time but it will be way way WAY harder than what you had to do before."
The host started pacing back and forth in front of the campers, who the majority watched nervously. "Not only will the way to the camp be much more cryptic," he explained. "But this jungle, as Van shouted from before, is littered with all kinds of dinosaurs. Hungry, carnivorous dinosaurs." He made a scary face, sticking his teeth out and holding up his hands like claws.
Shane tugged on his collar timidly. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" he asked. "What if we get eaten?"
"Sucks to be you then," Chris deflected. "Anywho, the goal is to have all of your teammates make it to the camp in one piece. Do that and you might just win yourself this special reward."
Chris gestured over towards Chef, who stood by a curtain to which he pulled it away. Revealed was a stunning masseuse, waving at the campers as she stood by a massage table. "That's right," Chris said. "Winner of this challenge will get to have this pretty lady and her coworkers give massages to each and every one of you. After a stressful couple of days, I'm sure this will be very much needed."
Harper rolled one of his shoulders. "Oh, you're so dang right," he muttered, just swooning at the thought of finally getting some relaxation.
Afterwards, Chris pulled a quarter out of his pocket. "Now, the plan is to have one team go in first before the other," he explained, flipping the coin to himself. "There was a lot of intermingling between teams in the last challenge and while that was fun, it got in the way of actually doing the challenge." From the corner of his eye, he saw Miriam glaring right at Harper to which the host smirked.
"I was gonna have us do some crazy mini-challenge to decide which team gets the head start," Chris said, giving one final flip of the coin before catching it. "But these episodes can typically be already long as is, so adding more to it wouldn't be ideal. Let's just determine it with a simple coin flip."
"Just great…" Light mumbled.
"Since the Titans won the last challenge, they get to call the shots," Chris announced, pointing at Robin. "What'll it be, voice dude?"
"Uhhh, tails I guess," Robin answered indecisively.
Chris gave the coin a flip, caught it and smiled. "It was heads," he shared. "Beasts get the head start."
"Yes!" Miriam cheered. "In your face twerps!"
"It was just pure luck, you imbecile," Light snapped to which Miriam stuck her tongue out at her mockingly.
Chris just snickered at their antics. "Maybe I should reconsider the whole team inter-mingling thing," he said to himself. "Meh, whatever." He then pointed off into the jungle. "Beasts, you may begin your camp search. After five minutes, I'll send the Titans out next."
"Good luck," Miriam said to the Titans as her team made their way into the dense rainforest. "You're gonna need it so much."
As she left, Light growled angrily to herself but stopped when Colleen placed a gentle hand on her forearm. "Don't worry, we'll somehow end up beating them like we always do," she quipped with a cute smile. Light couldn't help but smile back.
(xXxXx)
Light: You are bloody right, Colleen. Miriam is all talk and no walk. (clenches fists determinedly) I can't wait to shut her up once again.
(xXxXx)
The Beasts trekked their way through the jungle, not encountering any danger just yet. Miriam led the way, ready to take action in case danger did come. "Stay close everybody," she ordered. "And if you see anything, let everyone know… but quietly in case it hasn't spotted us yet."
"Sounds like a plan," Van said, wiping some sweat off of her forehead. "God dang, it's so humid."
"That's the rainforest for you," Tala said, huffing and puffing a little. "Average humidity can reach up to eighty-eight percent in cases like the Amazon."
"Well, nothing Amazon-g about that at all," Van punned to which Tala couldn't help but snort out a laugh which caused Van to laugh too. "That was bad, I know."
"It's alright, puns are silly fun," Shane interjected. "You could say they're punny!" Van and Tala both chuckled again while Miriam just stared back at them, rolling her eyes with endearing amusement.
"You guys are weirdos," the dancer jabbed playfully.
"What's the matter, Miriam?" Van asked with a facetious smile. "Why you gotta rain on the parade forest?" She said forest like "for us", causing Tala and Shane to giggle at her terrible pun.
Miriam just shook her head with a smile. "You better not do this the whole way to the camp," she said.
Tala butted in with a goofy smile. "If we do, will you get a mig raine?" she joked, getting Van to laugh out loud obnoxiously as the two shared high-fives.
"Oh come on everyone, give her a minute to get with the times," Shane interjected. "She just doesn't realize yet that puns are pretty tropical right now."
Van fell over laughing. Tala chuckled along while also trying to keep her up. Shane crossed his arms pridefully while Miriam just stared at them with the most "I'm too old for this ish" look imaginable. But she would quickly change her demeanor in a flash. "Alright, pun time's over," she said sternly.
"Ayy, that's a good one, girl," Van wooed, picking herself up with the help of Tala.
Miriam frowned with worry. "No, I'm serious," she replied. "We gotta go now!"
Right after saying that, the sound of a terrifying roar came from behind. Everyone turned back to see the frightening sight of a charging T-Rex, making nearly all of them crap themselves. "Run!!!" Van screamed.
The chase was on as the four Beasts were chased by the real beast. Its feet shaking the ground with every step. Its scales were a gross greenish gray and its teeth were sharper than the blades used in the last challenge. It swung its head around recklessly as it shortened the distance between it and the frightened campers.
Miriam was in front, sprinting as fast as she could all the while avoiding any obstacles that could slow her down. Van was closely behind, dragging Tala with her by the hand. Shane carried the back end and was the most frantic. The T-Rex was inches away from chomping him to bits so he had to come up with something fast.
Luckily, a set of vines were up ahead and the hero quickly grew an idea. He decided to split up from the others and as expected the T-Rex chose to follow him. Van looked back, realizing what he did. The teeth of the beast were very close to impaling him. "Shane!" she shrieked.
The hero did not respond as he was too focused on reaching the vines. He was really booking it, holding his arms out while trying not to lose his footing. The T-Rex pulled its head back, preparing for a strike but when the beast came back to chomp on Shane, it soon realized that Shane swung himself with the vine and managed to get some big air with it. It was just enough for him to land precisely on the T-Rex's back.
The T-Rex halted in its tracks and began violently shaking its body like a bull. Shane held on for dear life while the others quickly tried to think of a way to save him. Miriam attempted to chuck a big stone at the T-Rex's head but missed. "Ugh, it's moving too frantically for me to have a good shot," she groaned.
Tala rubbed her chin, thinking of something before figuring it out. "Don't aim for its head," she told Miriam. "Aim for its legs."
Miriam shared looks with Van before nodding and grabbing another stone. It was quite hefty, about the size of a bowling ball but to Miriam, this was nothing. And so while the T-Rex was still thrashing about as Shane was hanging on by a thread, Miriam launched the stone right at its feet. With the speed it came barreling in, it easily collided with the bottom of the dinosaur's legs, tripping it in the process. It fell on its side, which allowed Shane to freely run off while the T-Rex struggled to pick itself up.
"We gotta book it before it gets back up," Miriam ordered once Shane caught up with her. Afterwards, the four took off, having some leeway since the T-Rex's tiny arms made it tough for it to pull itself up. Van spotted a cave to possibly hide in and so the four quickly scurried inside and hoped for the best.
The T-Rex would soon be back on its feet, but since it had no clue on their whereabouts, it simply shrugged nonchalantly and left the area. Tala took a peak and saw that that was the case, taking a sigh of relief after such.
Miriam walked up to Tala and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Great thinking back out there," she said. "Tripping up that T-Rex was genius."
Tala wiped some sweat from her forehead. "Not every day in which you have to stop a chasing T-Rex," she quipped, causing Miriam to smirk. "But it seemed to make sense to me."
"So is the coast clear?" Van asked, crouching by Shane to check to see if he was okay.
Miriam nodded and placed her hands on her hips. "It looks safe," she replied. "Let's just stay as quiet as possible when we're back out there."
Meanwhile, the Twisted Titans were still waiting with Chris but their five minutes was almost done. Chris kept an eye on his stopwatch while the others waited patiently, or impatiently (it depends on who). "Just a few more seconds…" the host said. "Perfect! The Beasts headstart is over. Get to it, Titans!"
"Alright everyone, let's crush them," Robin rallied as he led the way into the jungle.
Luna was close behind, shaking with excitement. "Oh baby, I'm so darn ready," she squealed. "Dinosaurs are, like, bigger crocodiles. Let the teeth-pulling commence!"
"That wouldn't be a good idea, Luna," Robin replied, finding her excitement still amusing. "Best to stay as far away from their teeth as possible."
"It's only the case if you're a coward," Luna countered, wagging her finger in the air.
"Or if you have a death wish," Harper said as he caught up with the two.
"You shut your mouth," Luna snapped, pointing at him intensely with her finger now. "I don't want to hear you speak."
Harper was disgusted but Robin quickly stepped in. "Okay Luna, you really need to quit it," he demanded. "If I can forgive her, then you can too. I don't want any more of this or I'll tell Ezra on you."
Luna crossed her arms and pouted. "Alright fine," she reluctantly obeyed. "I'm just trying to stir up some drama to help Chris out, that's all."
Robin chuckled awkwardly as he continued on into the humid environment. Joshua and Light both were watching this little interaction and shared looks with each other. "As if Harper doesn't stir up enough drama by herself," Joshua said with a smirk.
"And?" Harper said, twirling around with a holier-than-thou look on his face. "What about it?"
Light just rolled her eyes while Joshua stuck a tongue out at her. All three were interrupted by Colleen, who squeezed her way in between Joshua and Light. "Excuse me, darlings," she greeted with a cheerful smile on her face. "Need to meet up with my honey hun, teehee."
Harper held his arms out as Colleen skipped her way into him for a quick hug and kiss. "Let's go, shall we," Harper suggested. "Don't want Robin and Luna to get too far ahead." The two lovers headed for them while holding hands, with Colleen gesturing over the other remaining two with a sweet smile. Light and Joshua shared shrugs, following after them in silence.
Meanwhile back up in the front, Luna was humming to some tunes and skipped in circles around an amused Robin. The impressionist rubbed the back of his neck as he watched her antics. "You're like an extremely hyper little sister or something," he remarked.
"A jungle is pretty close to a swamp," Luna said, still skipping around. "So this feels pretty close to home, weeee!" She then grabbed him by the hand and dragged him with her, skipping around in a zig-zag motion.
Colleen giggled, finding Luna's excitement to be too adorable. "Look at her, I've never seen her get this happy," she said.
Harper rolled his eyes and shrugged. "She's an unpredictable gremlin that's for sure," he said.
"Oh stop," Colleen said, playfully slapping Harper on the shoulder. "I can be quite the gremlin too, y'know?"
"Yeah, but you're my gremlin," Harper flirted, nuzzling his nose against hers. "God, you're so gorgeous with that new look, I swear."
Colleen blushed and twirled herself around while still holding onto his hand. "I'm called Queen Colleen for a reason," she said with a little giggle, noticing Harper's dreamy look he had on her. What she didn't notice was Robin staring back at them. He sucked in his cheeks as he watched what could have been his potential lover flirt around with someone else. He didn't have much time to mope, however, as Luna dragged him along some more.
(xXxXx)
Robin: Colleen still hasn't even said a single word to me since last night… I'm starting to think Harper cared more about me for this whole thing then her, which I was not expecting. (sighs) Maybe Colleen wasn't the one for me anyway?
(xXxXx)
The Bionic Beasts were carefully patrolling more of the dense jungles, dealing with annoying mosquitoes and being very sweaty. Miriam stealthily sniffed her armpit and nearly gagged. "Ugh, thank god we still have those showers," she groaned.
Van chuckled, hands held with her baby girl. "Whew, we all stank for sho," she said, waving her hand in front of her nose. "But this jungle kinda stanky too, so I ain't too embarrassed by it."
"You know, it's not the sweat that makes us stink," Tala corrected. "It's actually the bacteria in the sweat. You technically sweat in the shower, if it's hot at least. But since you're typically, you know, clean, it doesn't smell at all."
"Huh, interesting," Van remarked.
"Oh no…" said a disappointed Shane.
Van turned around to see his foot stuck in what looked like a pile of dinosaur manure. She covered her mouth to contain her laughter. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry Shane," she squealed.
Shane, with all of his might, yanked his foot out, falling back on the ground. "Well now I really stink," he quipped, pulling himself up.
Tala squinted her eyes suspiciously. "Just hold on a second," she said, glancing over towards the pile of dino dung. "The dinosaurs are clearly animatronic, why would they need to lay waste anyways?"
"It's that attention to detail Chris likes too much," Miriam said with an unamused look on her face. "He probably just thought it would be so funny to lay a bunch of doodoo around."
Van managed to control herself and let out a relieved sigh. "Well, he might be onto something," she said, her lips quivering, desperately trying to keep her laughter in.
"Like Shane was onto the poop," Tala quipped. That was enough to have Van fall down, bursting out in giggles but Miriam quickly hushed her as that's how they were chased last time.
Van nodded and quickly regained her composure. "Sorry, sorry," she apologized before gently pinching Tala on the cheek. "Baby girl, got me crackin' up too much."
Tala blushed and patted Van on the back. "Sometimes I just have that in me," she added, getting Van to smile and kiss her on the cheek.
Miriam watched the two with a smile of her own. "This is so good to see," she said. "Look how happier we are now."
"Morale is certainly high," Shane added, posing valiantly. "Now imagine how high it will be when we win. Come on everybody!" Afterwards, Shane quickly led the way for the three girls, all of them eager to find this camp.
(xXxXx)
Shane: A strong victory for the Beasts would be the true sign that things are finally gonna head in the right direction. With Miriam's strength, Tala's smarts, Van's confidence and my superhero intuition, no doubt in my mind that we could easily all make it to the merge. Maybe we shall even have an alliance to ensure our spots in the final four.
(xXxXx)
"Holy moly, look at that," Robin gasped as he and his team geared their attention towards a large, large beast with a long, long neck. It had no awareness of their presence as it was busy chewing on some leaves from a tall tree. "Isn't that a brachiosaurus?"
"I don't know, man," Joshua answered with a shrug. "But it doesn't seem dangerous."
"Honestly, this location might be the coolest one yet," Colleen said. "I mean, there's a bunch of freaking cool dinosaurs, like, come on."
"Just be careful," Harper said, holding her close. "Not all dinosaurs are like this one. Oh god, I hope we don't encounter a T-Rex."
"I wonder if the other team did," Robin pondered, before noticing that the brachiosaurus was now on the move. Each step practically shook the ground but overall, the giant seemed chill as it went over to another tree.
"Look at him just eating on the job!" Luna spat, not as impressed with the giant as the others. "If I was his boss, I'd fire him immediately." All of the others just slowly stared at her with bewilderment.
"Well, let's keep a move on," Light eventually said. "We don't have time to waste, remember?"
"Right," Joshua agreed. "For all we know, the Beasts could be, like, at the other camp."
Colleen turned to Harper and nuzzled into his chest. "I don't think there'll be any T-Rex's, don't worry," she said as she slowly walked with him.
Harper cocked his head back. "Even so, Light could take care of it," he suggested.
"Take care of what?" Light asked sternly.
"It's nothing, okay?" Colleen answered for him. "Just chatting about a potential T-Rex encounter."
Light crossed her arms and seemed a bit suspicious but ultimately let it go. That's when she noticed something strange. "Hey, where did Luna go?" she asked.
All of the Titans stopped and looked around. Luna was nowhere to be in sight. "What the?" Robin remarked, scratching his head. "She was right here with me, I swear."
"Luna!" Colleen called. "Where are you, sweetie?"
"Just great…" Harper groaned in disappointment.
"Somebody has to find her," Colleen suggested nervously. "What if she gets attacked by a dinosaur or something?"
Joshua adjusted his beanie and shrugged. "I can go, like, search for her, man," he offered nonchalantly.
"I don't know, Ice-Man," Robin replied. "Going out there alone could be dangerous. Maybe someone should go with him?"
Joshua looked up to Light, who didn't seem that interested. "You and me, dude?" he asked. "Once we find her, we can head back to them."
Light shuffled her feet, glancing over at Colleen. "Um, maybe," she said reluctantly. "Can't we all just go and find her together?"
"And waste even more time?" Harper butted in, placing his hands on his hip. "Me, Colleen and Robin got this. You two skedaddle and find that lunatic."
"We're just gonna head straight from here," Robin informed them. "Once Luna is found, you can come back here and head straight as well."
Joshua shrugged and gestured Light to follow him. "Sounds like a plan, man," he said. "Let's go." Light sighed and reluctantly agreed to follow him into the deeper parts of the jungle. Meanwhile, Robin and the others continued trekking forward, in hopes to find any sign of a nearby camp.
(xXxXx)
Light: I was hesitant to go with Joshua not because of him or anything. No, it's because I just know Harper is gonna use this as an opportunity to brainwash Colleen to turn her against me. But maybe with Robin there, perhaps that won't be the case.
(xXxXx)
The camera then flashed to the Bionic Beasts, walking along a muddy path that they had found. Shane led the way this time and he had a great pep to his step. "The Beasts are in the jungle," he sang. "But we'll be untouchable. And by the end of it all, the Titans will fall!"
"Low-key a banger," Miriam quipped as she enjoyed Shane's cheerful tune. She turned towards Van and Tala next. "So do you think Chris will have anything else for us once we make it to the camp? You know, since that happened last time."
"Knowing him, probably," Van answered with a swift nod.
Tala rubbed her chin and thought closely. "Considering he didn't have us do much to decide who earned the head start," she began. "I think it's highly likely he has some big epic final task for us to deal with."
"Oh, I hope we don't have to fight the T-Rex or something," Shane said, getting a little worried.
"That would be insane," Miriam said before growing a smirk. "So, it's very possible."
"We can whoop that thang's behind, no worries," Van assured, half-jokingly.
"Yeah, all we have to do is throw another rock at its legs," Tala added, sharing a nod with Miriam.
"T-Rex's are kinda lame when you really think about it," Miriam said, grinning smugly. "They got big fat heads but stubby little arms."
"If it weren't for their massive tails, they wouldn't be able to move without falling over," Tala replied.
"Hey girls!" Shane called as he spotted something ahead. "Looks like we're encountering a fork in the path."
Up ahead, the muddy path split into two smaller paths. Both of them seemed to be quite treacherous but promising. This led to Miriam going up to the fork and coming up with an idea. "Do you think we should split up from here?" she suggested, glancing back at her team.
"How are we gonna communicate to each other if one of us finds the camp?" Van asked.
"Hmmm…" Miriam pondered. "If only we had some kind of way to speak to each other from a distance…"
"Oh, I know!" Shane piped, pulling something out of his tights. It was a pair of walkie talkies.
"Well, that was rather convenient," Tala remarked.
"These were Wayne's," Shane stated, handing one of them to Miriam. "He must've left them in our tent accidentally. I figured they could come in handy later and well!"
"Haha, I guess I should be thankful to the Wizkid," Miriam chuckled as she inspected her walkie talkie. "How should we split? Van, I'm guessing you want to pair up with Tala for this."
Van shared looks with Tala. "What do you think?" she whispered to her.
"I mean, I don't mind obviously," Tala answered with a shrug.
"Well I was jus' thinking," Van replied. "You said earlier that you wanted to basically get to know Miriam better… This could be an opportunity to do that."
Tala peeked over towards Miriam, who waited for their decision patiently. "Um, I guess I'll go with you then," she offered.
"Really?" Miriam said, pointing to herself with a bit of a surprised look on her face. "Well, I'm cool with that. Van, I guess you'll be pairing up with Shane."
Van clasped her hands and nodded. "Aight, you ready y'all?" she asked as she walked over towards Shane, who handed her the other walkie talkie.
"For sure!" Miriam affirmed, beckoning over Tala. "Let's go left. They can go right."
And so with that settled, the Beasts went their separate ways while keeping in contact with each other via the walkie talkies. Van and Shane had to walk through low-hanging vines and slipperier mud but overall remained determined. "Try not to let these vines choke ya or something," Van warned.
"Is that possible?" Shane asked nervously.
"I don't know, I jus' saw that in a movie once," Van answered with a shrug.
"Well, I've seen Jurassic Park before," Shane said, moving away some vines so he could carry on through. "And I know how terrifying velociraptors can be. So I'm hoping we don't see any of those."
"Oh yeah, those guys are freaky," Van stated, wiping off a mosquito that landed on her arm. "And they're fast too. Way faster than a T-Rex even, so we might not be able to outrun them."
"I can do my good 'ol vine swing on them," Shane assured, yanking on a nearby one. "There's many of them to do so with."
"Well, guess I'll have to learn how to do that too," Van said, observing one of the vines near her.
"All you need is a lot of momentum," Shane explained. "Which you'll get when you're initially running for your life."
Van let out a small chuckle. "Right, right," she said, being able to see that things were clearing up a little. And with this, she was able to see the beautiful sun glistening down on wondrous plant life. It was straight out of a fantasy novel and it enamored her greatly. "Wow…"
"Moments like this make me really glad I joined this show," Shane remarked as his eyes grew a bit tearful.
~Hey, Van~ called the voice of Miriam through the walkie talkie. ~ How are you guys doing?~
Van put the walkie talkie to her mouth. "Oh, we're doing jus' fine," she answered. "What about y'all?"
"Me and Tala are hanging in there," Miriam said as it cut to her location. She was swatting the air with her hand as she spoke. "Just dealing with an excessive amount of gnats, at the moment."
~ Ugh, those can be so annoying~ Van said through Miriam's radio. ~ Hopefully y'all deal with that quickly. Once y'all see a camp or something, you know what to do.~
"Yep, we know," Miriam affirmed. "You two take care now." She slid the walkie talkie safely in one of her vest's pockets and glanced back at Tala. "The gnats seem to be letting up a little at least."
Tala had her nose pinched and looked annoyed. "They kept flying into my nose," she complained.
"Yeesh, that's gotta be unpleasant," Miriam replied, flicking off a lone gnat on her arm. "You're fine though, right?"
Tala shrugged and slowly unplugged her nose with her hand. She waited a bit before taking a sigh of relief. "Alright good," she said.
Miriam laughed a little as she led the way through the path. The area was getting denser and denser with all kinds of plant life but so far, nothing dangerous was in sight. The two girls were rather silent as they trekked through the wet grounds, mostly allowing the ambient sounds of the jungle to speak for them.
Tala, however, would break the ambience eventually. "So… Do you want to talk about something while we're walking?" she asked, as she swatted away a few mosquitoes from her face.
"Sure, what's on your mind?" Miriam asked, tapping her chin as she looked around the path for any signs of a camp.
"Um, well…" Tala had to take a moment to think of what to talk about which led Miriam to tilt her head curiously. "Uh, sorry, I guess I'm not sure where we should start. But Van told me you were surprisingly easy to talk to, so uhhh, you decide."
Miriam smirked and brushed some dirt from her shoulder. "Alright, if you insist," she said. "What was your life like prior to arriving here?"
Tala shrugged and looked around at some interesting rock formations that were to her right. "Rather simple and basic," she stated. "Just me studying math and stuff like that."
"Ah, okay then. Yeah, math just wasn't a subject I cared too much for," Miriam confessed. "Like I did what I had to do to pass math class, but I never found what I learned all that interesting."
"Well to me, I just love the way numbers work," Tala explained. "Everything comes together in a logical fashion where all you really need to figure things out is a well-designed equation."
"Hmm, I think I'm following you here," Miriam replied, squinting her eyes analytically. "Go on."
"Math is essentially about patterns," Tala continued, seeming to be quite at ease with chatting about the specific subject matter. "There's all kinds of interesting quirks to it as well. I sometimes will spend my days thinking up some ridiculous math problems in my head and then later solving them for future me."
"Is that what you do when you write in your notepad?" Miriam asked, quietly listening to Tala's ramblings.
"Sometimes," Tala answered, pulling the notepad out. She flipped it open to a page that had some math calculations on it and showed it to Miriam. "See? But otherwise, I also like solving sudoku puzzles."
"I totally suck at those," Miriam admitted with a smile.
"There are quite a few tactics you can learn that'll make solving them easier," Tala explained as she put her notepad away. "My personal favorite is the X-Wing."
"Isn't that a spaceship or something?" Miriam questioned, raising an eyebrow.
Tala shrugged as she wasn't sure. "It's just what they call it," she answered. "You basically just find a row or column with only two of the same candidates and then another parallel to it. That allows you to eliminate all other candidates between them in that column or row."
"See that sounds way too complicated for me," Miriam replied, shaking her head. "What even is a candidate?"
"Just the little numbers you write in each box that tell you what possible digits could be written there," Tala explained matter-of-factly.
"Wait, you're supposed to do that?" Miriam asked, growing quite surprised by the intricacies of the rather simple puzzle game. "Geez, no wonder I suck at them."
"Well maybe with a bit of these tactics, you'll be better," Tala suggested, the two stopping at a really large tree.
"Maybe," Miriam replied, staring up to the top. "Jesus… That thing is huge."
"I'm not sure if it's even possible for trees to feasibly get that big naturally," Tala remarked.
"I have absolutely no clue," Miriam said, as she continued to walk along the path, which was getting increasingly more covered by shrubs. "As you can see, I'm not the most knowledgeable about things."
"Well, I'm sure you're just knowledgeable about other things that you're interested in," Tala responded, shoving her hands into the pockets of her hoodie.
"Yeah, I guess so," Miriam agreed. "I mean, I can tell you all about the art of Vogue dancing at least."
"What is Vogue dancing exactly? Tala asked, deciding to hand the answering over to her now.
"It's part of Ballroom culture and that kind of stuff," Miriam answered. "It's quite an expressive and glamorous style of dancing."
"How'd you get into it?" Tala continued to ask, all kinds of curious about Miriam's past life.
"I'm not quite sure, just kinda stumbled upon it, I guess," Miriam explained, watching some birds flying above them. "But it quickly garnered my fascination. Maybe after this challenge I can show you a bit of the usual moves."
"Just as long as you don't pressure me to try them out myself," Tala said with a shrug.
Miriam let out a chuckle and nodded. "Don't worry, it's not an easy style of dancing to get into anyways," she stated.
"Have you done other kinds of dancing?" Tala questioned, not really having much knowledge of dance styles.
"I mean, I guess," Miriam answered, rather hesitantly.
Tala took note of this and let her curiosity lead her. "Could you perhaps tell me?" she requested.
"It's not that important, okay?" Miriam replied, trying to move along from the subject.
"I just would assume it would be alright since it's simply about your interests," Tala continued, only becoming more intrigued. "Is it something embarrassing to you?"
"No, I… Tala, just drop this," Miriam said, getting a bit flustered.
Tala, however, had no interest in doing so. She was too invested in picking Miriam apart in her mind. "But I can't help but wonder about this here," she explained. "What, is it a dance style you find uncomfortable to share with me? Or is it like ballet or something and you just don't think I would find it that interesting?"
Once Tala said the word "ballet", Miriam suddenly stopped in her tracks. Tala was startled a little by this as Miriam kept still and stared off into the jungle. "Tala, I've asked you to stop talking about this," she said unemotionally. "But since you don't seem to be letting up, fine, I'll freaking tell you. Yes, it's ballet."
"Oh, I see," Tala remarked, taking a slow nervous swallow. "It was just peculiar to me why you were being so hesitant to tell me. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you by asking about it."
Miriam stared at her wrist bracelet, examining the Phoenix design on it closely. "The whole thing is just too much for one conversation," she said, still keeping a gaze on the bracelet. "But ballet is only just a part of it."
"I'm not understanding," Tala said, observing her and her bracelet.
Miriam rolled her wrist to the left and right before dropping it down to her side. "Tala, I like you," she said, turning towards her. "But I don't think I trust you enough to tell you much more about this."
Tala bit her tongue a little and reluctantly nodded. "I understand," she said quietly. Miriam and her would keep going down the path, shortly after. While Tala quietly strolled with her, she couldn't help but think hard about the last part of their conversation.
(xXxXx)
Tala: I felt like I was so close to figuring Miriam out. But I guess I failed to realize that getting that deep would mean a certain level of trust had to be obtained. (ponders a bit more) The way she was staring at the bracelet has got me thinking however…
(xXxXx)
The camera then flashed to Robin, Colleen and Harper. The three of them were mostly silent as they roamed through the jungle, with Harper only occasionally making Colleen giggle with a clever joke or witty compliment. "So, I spy with my little eye something absolutely gorgeous," Harper flirted, staring directly at his girlfriend.
"Aw stop," Colleen responded as her cheeks flushed red. "You're too much."
"Is it not true though?" Harper asked.
Colleen giggled and nuzzled her head into his shoulder. "Okay, I guess it's true," she gushed.
Robin was ahead of them but hearing them flirt around right behind him wasn't exactly making him feel great. "So… how about we focus more on the task at hand, okay girls?" he suggested, trying not to sound annoyed or upset.
Harper rolled his eyes while smiling. "We're literally just walking," he said. "I'm just trying to have a little fun because otherwise I'm constantly reminded how unpleasant this place is."
Colleen gently squeezed Harper's chin. "It's not so bad, dear," she soothed. "At least you have me."
"Exactly," Harper agreed, giving Colleen a quick smooch on the forehead.
"Alright, I guess," Robin said before sighing.
Harper whispered into Colleen's ear. "You think he's still upset about last night?" he asked.
Colleen bit her lip and slowly nodded. "I haven't talked about that with him since," she whispered. "I'm afraid to, honestly."
"Why is that?" Harper asked.
Colleen pondered on an answer for a few seconds. "It's just…" she tried to explain. "I don't know, I just feel so bad for hurting him, maybe? And, like, I'm too much of a coward to confront my mistakes…"
Harper shook his head. "You need to make things right," he suggested quietly. "I mean, I already did."
"You did?" Colleen responded.
"Mmhmm," Harper affirmed with a nod. He then turned to Robin and spoke up. "Ain't that right, Robin?"
Robin looked back at him. "What?" he asked.
"We talked things out about last night earlier," Harper answered, cocking his head at Colleen a little.
Robin slowly nodded and faced forward. "Yeah, we did…" he affirmed despondently.
Harper eyed over to Colleen before shoving her forward, implying to her to go make things right now. Colleen sighed and slowly caught up with Robin, fiddling with the collar of her sweater. "Um…" she mumbled. Robin gave her a look, which Colleen gulped nervously in response to. "Hey… what's up?"
Robin furrowed his eyebrows at her. "So now you're gonna talk to me," he said.
Colleen's face dropped as she tapped her pointers together. "Uh, what?" she asked.
"You had all morning to at least say something," Robin explained. "Yet no word from you until now."
"I was scared," Colleen defended.
"Of what?" Robin questioned. "It wasn't like you cheated on me or betrayed me. It was an unfortunate situation but it happens. So why didn't you even see if I was okay?"
Colleen lowered her head and covered her mouth with her hand. "I'm sorry…" she said, her voice breaking a little. "We're still friends, are we?"
Robin stared at her for a bit, reflecting on their history in his mind. He could see something in Colleen that made him slowly place his hand on her back. "Yeah, we're still friends," he assured.
Colleen lifted her head up and uncovered her mouth. She had a few tears growing but she was able to contain herself. "Thank you," she said, reaching out for a hug. "I'm so sorry for hurting you."
"It's okay, Colleen," Robin reassured as he gently patted her back. "I know it wasn't something you planned to do or anything. I have no reason to be mad."
"D'awww, see what I mean?" Harper interjected as he met up with the two. He pinched Robin in the cheeks. "You are such a sweetie pie."
Colleen laughed as she pulled back from their embrace. "Oh, he certainly is," she agreed.
Robin rolled his eyes playfully. "Okay you two, don't make me blush," he joked with a smile.
Harper chuckled before glancing over at Colleen. "But you know," he said. "If we really want to make it up to him, we should invite him for a threesome at some point."
"Ohmigosh, stop!" Colleen gasped as Harper giggled like the mischievous horndog he was. Colleen rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile. "You're a little menace, I swear to God."
Robin's face was definitely red at this point. "Dangit, what the heck did I just say?" he playfully added.
Harper recollected himself and leaned into Robin's shoulder. "I'm just messing," he said. "...Unless?"
"Okay, moving on," Robin said abruptly, pulling ahead from Harper. The femboy couldn't help but laugh out loud some more while Colleen just gave her partner some disappointed headshakes. Robin cleared his throat and attempted to move the conversation elsewhere. "So, uh, you think Josh and uh, Light found Luna yet?"
"Maybe they did and are just having a threesome themselves," Harper quipped with the most obnoxious deviant smile on his face.
"Stop! Jesus!" Colleen gasped, playfully slapping Harper on the shoulder. She was, of course, laughing right with him despite her best efforts not to. "Come on now, that's enough, please. Let's settle down, alright."
Harper placed a hand on his stomach and nodded. "Okay, yeah, I'm done," he said before taking a deep breath and glancing at Robin. "But yeah, I'm sure they must've found Luna at this point or are close too."
Speaking of Luna, it was finally shown that she was alive and well. She was simply patrolling through the thick jungle alone, seeming to be searching for something. Light and Joshua had not found her yet, nor was she aware that they were looking for her. Her interest was directed to something else anyway and when she got close enough to it, she decided to quickly hide somewhere before she could get potentially spotted.
Luna crouched behind a bush and slowly peeked over it. "Oh my, I can't believe I actually found it," she whispered to herself as she grew a smile. "The craziest looking gator I've ever seen."
The camera panned over to who she was whispering about and revealed a tall, scaly orange woman with green spiky hair and yellow eyes. She wore ripped pink clothes that you could tell weren't supposed to fit her and her backside had a long stout tail.
Luna gasped quietly and hid back under the bush. "That's not just any gator," she babbled. "That's the Dakota-zoid. Ooh, what an opportunity for me. I can definitely add one of her teeth to my collection."
Luna peeked back up to see Dakota-zoid, who had a really deadpanned look on her face. "Why did I agree to do this?" the mutated girl grumbled. "Is Chris really gonna go through with his promise?"
Luna crouched back down, thinking to herself. "She's in kahoots with Chris," she murmured. "I should've known… Well, perhaps I need to be careful. Don't want Chris to rat me out to her. I have to be very sneaky…"
She took one more peek over the bush to see Dakota-zoid scratching her arm and seeming very bored. "I haven't even been able to spot one of them yet," she groaned before sighing. "I just really want to go home back to Sam…"
"So Sam is in kahoots too, huh?" Luna grumbled. "This whole conspiracy is getting wilder by the second. Oh, I need to be very careful now." She went back to quietly watching Dakota-zoid from the safety of her bush, waiting for the perfect opportunity to make her big move.
Meanwhile, Van and Shane were still deep in the jungle with no luck finding a camp yet. Their spirits were still high though with Shane doing his usual singing. "Me and Van, are searching for a camp," he hummed. "We may not know where it is, but I don't doubt that we can."
"So you break dance and sing," Van remarked. "Boy, why don't you have a music career yet?"
Shane chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Guess I haven't really thought of that," he admitted.
"Well you do got some pipes," Van complimented, snapping her fingers rhythmically. "So I say give it a shot, superhero."
"What would my music name be?" Shane asked, genuinely thinking of possibly trying this out.
"Just go with Super Shane or something," Van suggested. "Super Shane, the Singing Superhero. Might be a little childish but I don't know."
"Well, I do love entertaining children," Shane replied. "I do it all the time at my orphanage."
"Orphanage?" Van questioned. "Wait, you was in an orphanage?"
"Yes ma'am," Shane affirmed.
"Oh, I thought you jus' worked for the orphanage or something," Van stated.
"Well technically I do," Shane corrected but before he could elaborate, the ground began to shake. "What's happening?"
Van suddenly bolted, dragging Shane with her by the hand. "The T-Rex is back," she screamed. "Move! Move! Move! Move!!!"
The T-Rex had come from their right, spotting them and immediately charging after. Its giant quaking steps could knock down buildings and its mighty screech sent chills down the panicking Beasts' spine. It swung its head violently as it got closer and closer to its potential meal.
"Do you see a vine?" Van asked in haste.
"I'm afraid not," Shane shouted, feeling the breath of the T-Rex tingle his spine. "Oh no…"
The T-Rex pulled its head back ready to chomp but Van pushed Shane out of the way just in time. The giant beast's head caused it to stumble forward, allowing Van to grab Shane and run in a different direction. It wasn't long, however, before the T-Rex was back in pursuit.
"I can't believe Chris is letting this happen," Van shrieked as she practically was hyperventilating.
Shane quickly spotted something, but it was not a vine. "This way!" Shane shouted as he took the lead. He dragged Van over towards a new direction, briefly bamboozling the T-Rex.
Up ahead, Van could see the long neck of the brachiosaurus. "Oh my goodness," she gasped.
"Hide under it," Shane ordered, bolting straight for the goliath's underside. The brachiosaurus was busy chilling and eating some leaves so it didn't notice the two panicking campers hiding underneath it. It did notice, however, the charging T-Rex. In a move to defend itself, the brachiosaurus swung its neck fiercely, knocking over the T-Rex off its feet.
"Hell yeah, that T-Rex is getting these hands," Van cheered quietly to herself. "Or neck, I should say."
The T-Rex fell to its side and wiggled its feet as it struggled to pull itself up. When it finally did, the brachiosaurus roared mightily at it. The T-Rex, not wanting anymore trouble, decided to back up and screech back. Eventually it ran away, leaving the brachiosaurus and the campers it was unknowingly protecting alone.
"Thank you, long neck dino," Van whispered as she high-fived Shane. "That was genius."
"I'd assume they work like giraffes," Shane confessed as he slowly scooted out from under the brachiosaurus, who quickly went back to its eating. "What a gentle giant."
Van and Shane both watched the giant eat peacefully before noticing something behind it. "Is that… smoke?" Van asked.
Shane scratched his head and observed it a bit more. "...From a campfire," he said, his face lighting up. Shane then led the way, heading towards the smoke and hoping for the best. Van wiped some sweat from her forehead and sighed in relief.
(xXxXx)
Van: Thank the Lord, mane. This challenge was very tiring. But the camp was in sight and I couldn't be more relieved. Also, I'm officially a fan of the brachiosaurus. Best dinosaur ever.
(xXxXx)
The camera then flashed to Light and Joshua, who were still searching for Luna but weren't having any luck. "Luna," Joshua called, rather lazily. "Where the heck are you, dude?"
Light shook her head. "This is pointless," she grumbled. "For all we know, she could've gotten eaten by a dinosaur. Let's just go back and say that's what happened."
"Real quick to ditch the search, huh," Joshua remarked, giving her a smirk. "What's going on?"
Light sighed and picked at some loose ends. "Nothing," she denied.
"It ain't nothing, dude," Joshua replied, squinting his eyes with suspicion.
"What? Don't look at me like that," Light scoffed but Joshua wasn't budging. She inevitably gave in with another sigh. "Alright fine, I'm worried about what Harper might be saying to Colleen right now."
"Ah, I see," Joshua responded with an easy-going nod. "Worried that Harper is, like, talking trash about you or something?"
"Basically," Light affirmed. "I just know she's trying to seep in some lies into Colleen's mind. I've been trying to get Colleen to get away from her but I don't know why she isn't listening to me. I'm her friend, after all. That's what friends should do."
"Perhaps," Joshua agreed with a shrug. "Want me to, like, help? I could try talking to her."
"Maybe that's a good idea," Light pondered. "You do know what it's like to be in a relationship with her. So perhaps you can share your insight."
"Of course, man," Joshua replied. "I'll talk to her the next opportunity I can."
"I would appreciate that," Light thanked, gently fist-bumping his shoulder.
"Anytime, dude," Joshua said with a smile. "So, uh, wanna just head back and, like, say we couldn't find her and stuff?"
Light rubbed her chin. "Just hope finding the camp isn't the end or something," she said. "Chris said that we may win if we all make it there but knowing him, there's gotta be something else after this, right?"
"I mean if we lose, it just means we can, like, get rid of Harper anyway," Joshua pointed out.
"I guess you're right," Light said, lowering her hand. "Alright, let's go." And so Joshua and Light decide to quit their search and focus on meeting up with the others again. Joshua following behind Light with a relaxed smile on his face.
(xXxXx)
Joshua: Tonight's gonna be a double whammy for Ms. Flirts-A-Lot. (shrugs) Haven't figured out a good name to call her yet besides, you know like, bitch and stuff. Anyways, she's gonna deal with karma in all kinds of way. I can't wait, man.
(xXxXx)
Back over by Tala and Miriam, the two seemed to be lost. They really didn't have any clue where they needed to go and the path was no longer around to guide them. Miriam kept strong though. "This jungle is massive," she remarked.
"Or we're just going around in circles somehow," Tala suggested, staring mostly at the ground in front of her.
"Bah, that wouldn't make sense," Miriam denied. "We never turned or anything."
Tala shrugged and took a deep breath. "I won't lie, I think I might be feeling a little light-headed," she confessed.
Miriam covered her eyes from the sun with her hand. "You could be getting dehydrated," she said, pulling something out from the inside of her vest. It was some sort of flat canister and she handed it to Tala. "Here, there's a bit of water left in there. Drink some."
Tala stared at it, sucking in her cheek. Miriam turned back and smirked. "If you're worried about germs or whatever, just dump it into your mouth without touching it," she suggested.
Tala ultimately shrugged and opened up the canister, drinking the last remaining sips of water. She coughed and wiped her mouth. "Very warm," she remarked, a bit disgustedly.
"Well, it's been sitting in my vest next to my smelly armpits, after all," Miriam replied with a smug smile. Tala nearly gagged to which Miriam cackled. "I'm joking, I'm joking. It was just in my inner pocket."
"Real funny," Tala groaned.
"Hey, that's what you get for all those stupid puns from earlier," Miriam countered, teasingly waggling her fingers at her.
"Well, apologies then," Tala replied. "Didn't think I'd pit you as someone to make a call to arms."
"Oh come on," Miriam scoffed playfully. "That was a stretch and a half."
"The dehydration is keeping me off my pun game," Tala confessed with a little chuckle. However, it would be abruptly interrupted by a screech from behind.
"Crap! A velociraptor!" Miriam shrieked, grabbing Tala by the hand and bolting off. "Go! Go! Go!"
The velociraptor was scarily fast and agile. A much different beast than the T-Rex. Tala and Miriam had no chance of running away from it. The scrappy dinosaur was just too much and it made its first strike. Tala was the target but Miriam was not going to let that happen. She pushed Tala out of the way and then screamed in pain.
Tala stumbled to the ground and turned back to see Miriam with the velociraptor's jaw wrapped around her wrist. She was horrified by the sight. "Miriam!" she cried.
Miriam grunted and tried wriggling the beast way but it wasn't letting loose. "Get out of here, Tala," she shouted, wincing in pain. "Save yourself… Now!"
Tala reluctantly sprinted off as Miriam struggled with the velociraptor some more. It seemed relentless but fortunately Miriam had an idea. She lifted her legs up and wrapped them around the predator's neck in a scissor-hold. This was enough to cause the raptor to open its jaw and allow Miriam to free her wrist. Afterwards, she twisted her hold tighter until she managed to actually crush a bit of the raptor's neck, sparks flying as she did.
Finally, she released the raptor from her hold, only to swiftly thrust her foot against the side of its head, knocking it right off with a loud grunt. The now headless animatronic raptor slowly powered down and fell to the ground. Miriam caught her breath and looked at her wrist. Other than a few minor scrapes, it was somehow okay. That was because the raptor had bitten the wrist that had the Phoenix bracelet on it, essentially protecting her from only having one hand.
She stared at her bracelet as she continued to catch her breath. Then she looked up to the sky and sighed. "What's with me getting into so many near-death situations lately?" she groaned before pulling herself up and rolling her shoulders. "I gotta find Tal-"
Miriam stopped herself mid-sentence when she spotted something peculiar in the distance. She slowly grew a big smile and her eyes lit up. "No freaking way…" she remarked.
Meanwhile, Tala had been sprinting for what felt like hours but had just been minutes before she had to stop to catch her breath. She nearly collapsed to the ground also, her energy levels really getting low. "What am I gonna do?" she whined. "How do I tell this to Van and the others?"
She sniffed and wiped away some growing tears. "Miriam's gonna be okay," she said to herself. "She's strong. She's tough… Oh god…"
Suddenly, some rustling sounded off from her left. She snapped in that direction with a terrified look on her eyes. And she had every right to be terrified, as out came another velociraptor from the bush. It screeched sharply as it crept closer and closer to her. Tala could only back up so much before encountering a big rock blocking her way.
"I'm doomed… This can't be real…" she whimpered as the raptor was only getting closer and closer. It eventually pulled itself back and prepared to lunge at her. Tala closed her eyes and hoped for a miracle. Then she heard a crash of sorts. When she reopened her eyes, standing right in front of her was a triceratops. And riding on its back was Miriam. Tala could only just open her jaw wide in disbelief. "Holy shhh…"
Miriam held a hand out to her. "Hop on," she ordered, patting the triceratops with her other hand. "I got us a new ride."
(xXxXx)
Miriam: Coolest moment of my life ever. I rode a freaking triceratops and charged it into a velociraptor. This is stuff you only do in your dreams. (chuckles) And I'm really just glad that Tala and I are okay, especially Tala.
(xXxXx)
The camera then flashed back to Robin, Colleen and Harper. The three of them trudged through the murky jungle, avoiding being bit by too many mosquitoes. Harper, especially, was irritated by this. "Humidity is the absolute worst," he groaned. "It ruins my hair, my makeup. Everything!"
"But you look just fine, Harper honey," Colleen assured.
"Meh, it's just a little sweat," Robin said before switching to a Jo impression. "So quit the whining and show no mercy!"
"Really?" Harper asked dryly.
Robin chuckled and wiped some sweat from his forehead. "I'm goofing," he said, back to his normal voice.
"Hehe, goofing," Colleen repeated amusedly before her face changed to shock. "Ohmigosh, what is that?"
Robin and Harper both turned to where Colleen was now pointing at and they all saw a baby stegosaurus roaming through some shrubbery. "My goodness, it's sooooo cute," Colleen squealed with delight.
The baby stegosaurus eventually made its way up to the three with a curious look on its face. Robin and Harper both nervously smiled at it but Colleen was completely in love. "Hey there, little guy," she called, reaching out to give the baby dino a head pat. "Where's your mama, sweetheart?"
The baby stegosaurus's eyes dazzled at the sight of Colleen and immediately cuddled up against her, making the girl laugh. "Aww, so sweet," she swooned as she gave it a couple chin scratches. "You think I'm your mama?"
"Uhhh… Colleen…" Robin stammered, quickly growing increasingly worried.
"Aww, my cute little precious baby," Colleen said, completely ignoring Robin and his concern. She gave the baby stegosaurus some more loving head scratches as the dino closed its eyes in enjoyment.
"Colleen, watch out!" Harper shouted.
Colleen finally looked up only to see the jaws of a T-Rex coming down quickly. She shrieked and jumped back but unfortunately this meant the baby stegosaurus was the one to get chomped on. Colleen cried out in absolute despair, completely horrified by the sight of the T-Rex effortlessly chucking up the baby with its mouth and then crushing its mechanical body completely within its jaw.
Robin quickly grabbed Colleen by the arm and dragged her up to her feet. "No time to mourn, we gotta run!" he shouted, sprinting off with her and Harper.
"I called it!" Harper screamed as the T-Rex now set its sights on the three Titans. "Oh God, I'm too pretty to die!!!!"
Colleen was crying as she ran, only able to keep up pace due to Robin still dragging her by the arm. "My poor little baby…" she sobbed.
The T-Rex was relentless in its chase, screeching and roaring as it caught up closer and closer. Its loud steps practically shook the others on their feet. But suddenly, the shaking stopped as the strange sound of someone grunting and metal clanging could be heard. Robin and the others turned back to now see the T-Rex completely tail-less and struggling to maintain balance. It was about to fall forward by the weight of its own head.
Too startled by what was happening, the three of them stood still in fright, being right on the spot it was going to land on. They were saved, however, by Joshua rolling in on his skateboard and carrying them off to the side. Shortly after, the T-Rex had finally fallen, landing completely on its face with a grunt. Joshua stayed close by the others as they all regained their breaths and composure. "Close one, man," he said.
The T-Rex tried to lift itself up but struggled mightily. That was when Light walked up by its head and simply punched a hole through its mechanical skull, powering it down instantly. She looked back at the others and nodded.
"Absolute badass," Robin remarked with a disbelieving look on his face.
Light smirked and looked at the spot where the T-Rex's tail should be. "One swift kick was all I needed," she boasted. "The punch was just to put him out of his misery."
"So where's Luna?" Harper asked, clutching onto his chest.
"We couldn't find her, man," Joshua explained as he kicked forward on his board and met up with Light. "So we just decided to, like, meet back up with you dudes."
Robin nodded his head understandingly. "Thank goodness that you did," he said before noticing Colleen. She was still crying and devastated by what happened. Robin went up to her and gently placed a hand on her back. "You alright?"
"I will be, I just…" Colleen coughed through tears. "He was so innocent…"
"It was just an animatronic," Harper reminded as he also placed a hand on her back. "It didn't feel a thing, okay?"
"Okay…" Colleen whimpered with a sniff. Light and Joshua watched along, sharing awkward looks with each other. Harper gave a little kiss on Colleen's head while Robin got up and held his arm out to her. Afterwards, the five of them carried on with their search.
(xXxXx)
Robin: It's a little bit odd how quickly she got attached to the thing but I'm not gonna judge her. It honestly was a pretty cute dinosaur. Colleen's gonna be alright though.
Colleen: (sniffs) He will always be my good little boy…
(xXxXx)
Back over by Van and Shane, they continued to follow the smoke. They cut through bushes and vines to get there as quickly as possible. "I think I might see it," Van said as she squinted off into the distance. "You hanging in there, boo?"
Shane had accidentally got himself tangled up in some vines when she was saying that. "Definitely," he said nervously.
Van turned around and laughed as she went up to let him free. "Come on now," she giggled as she shook her head. "You did that on purpose, didn't ya?"
"Nope, I'm just a klutz," Shane answered honestly as he recollected himself on the ground and brushed off some dirt from his outfit. He then held himself high and pointed forwards. "Away we go!"
Van followed Shane as they both picked up the pace and made it to their destination. It was a small open field, an oasis of emptiness surrounded by the jungle. Within it was a small campfire pit as well as two wooden flat pedestals on each side. There was also a pitched tent where Chef came out, wiping his hands on his apron.
"Yo Chef," Chris called out. He was laying on a beach chair with sunglasses and a tanning mirror on as he was also shirtless. He hoisted up a cup that had a straw and umbrella ornament in it. "Refill this for me, will ya?"
Chef grumbled and went up to the host, snatching the cup rather aggressively. He suddenly stopped once he spotted Van and Shane watching them. "Uh, looks like we got company," he said, pointing at them.
Chris lowered his sunglasses and eyed over towards the latest arrivals. "Well, well, well," he said. "What happened to the other half of your team? Wait, let me guess, they got eaten by dinosaurs."
Van shook her head as she approached forward. "We just decided to split up," she explained. "They should be here eventually."
Chris seemed unimpressed and lowered his sunglasses back down. "Welp, you haven't won until all of your team makes it," he said.
"We know, mane," Van replied, rolling her eyes. "What should Shane and I do then?"
"I don't know, go play tag or something," Chris answered with a bit of agitation. "Just try not to make too much noise."
Van sighed and turned to Shane. "Let's just go chat over there," she said, pointing at the campfire. The two of them went that way while Chris continued to lay there on his chair, growing impatient.
"Chef!" he called. "Where is my refill?"
Chef came out of the tent, holding the refilled cup. He walked up and handed it to him, to which Chris would snatch it and take a sip. Not even saying thank you. Chef walked away with a peeved look, grumbling obscenities to himself.
(xXxXx)
Chef: (shakes his head) I should've just splashed it all on him right then and there. (grumbles some swears under his breath) Sometimes I just want to beat his scrawny little white behind… (quickly grows nervous) Shoot, he watches these… uhhh, just kidding, Chris. Please don't fire me.
(xXxXx)
Back over by Luna, she was hiding in a bush and still spied on Dakota-zoid. "I gots to stay patient," she mumbled. "There'll be a perfect opportunity to get that prized tooth soon."
Meanwhile, Dakota-zoid yawned and shook her head in boredom. Luna furrowed her eyebrows. "Screw being patient," she grumbled. "I'm going for it now."
As Luna tried to sneak out of the bush, her foot got caught on a branch and she tripped, falling face first. The noise was enough to alert Dakota-zoid, who spotted the gremlin at her hiding place. Luna picked herself up and chuckled nervously. "Uhhh, howdy," she greeted with a fake innocent smile.
Dakota-zoid sighed and then held her hands up like claws. "Rawr…" she growled with little to no enthusiasm. She dropped her hands and shook her head. "Oh, forget it."
Luna scratched her head as she slowly walked up to Dakota-zoid. "So, you're working with Chris, right?" she asked.
"Duh," Dakota-zoid replied with an uninterested expression on her face.
Luna nodded and then grew a smile. "Say, you wouldn't mind it if you let me try to yank one of your teeth out," she asked politely. "I really want one for my collection."
Dakota-zoid stared at her in bewilderment. "No way, weirdo," she denied.
Luna pouted and crossed her arms. "Fine," she scoffed before mumbling to herself. "You no-good, freak-looking, nerd-loving jerk…"
Dakota-zoid rolled her eyes. "Whatever," she said, turning her back on Luna. "Just get out of here, will ya."
Luna glared at the back of her head, still quite annoyed with being denied. So she took matters into her own hands and lunged forward, clutching onto Dakota-zoid by the back. The mutated girl was completely thrown off. "What are you doing?" she asked frantically as she stumbled around with the crazy girl practically choking her.
Luna held a hand up. "Getting what I want," she answered before reaching down and grabbing one of Dakota-zoid's teeth.
The camera cut to a wide shot of the entire jungle where we could hear the painful screams of Dakota-zoid echo in the distance. We soon cut back to Luna standing on the ground, observing her latest piece to her collection. "It's beautiful," she said with dazzled eyes.
Dakota-zoid, however, wasn't as dazzled. She felt the spot where her missing tooth was and looked absolutely horrified. "You little twerp…" she grumbled before abruptly turning around, holding her arms out and screaming in anger. "Dakota-zoid is gonna KILL YOU!!!"
Luna's eyes dropped in fear. "Gotta go," she said before dashing off as fast as she could.
"Get back here!" Dakota-zoid screamed as she quickly went into pursuit. "When Dakota-zoid gets her hands on you, she's gonna smash you into a million pieces!!!"
Meanwhile, Luna's fellow teammates were not as in much trouble as she was. They were casually strolling together, keeping an eye out for any potential danger. "We can only hope that Luna somehow found the camp before us," Robin said as he led the way.
"Or she got eaten," Harper suggested quietly but enough so that everyone could hear him and stare back at him. Harper shrugged defensively. "What? She's not gonna be actually eaten. I was just speaking figuratively."
"Right…" Joshua replied with a smirk. "Just like how dating me was all figurative, man."
"Oh, shut your pie hole," Harper snapped before pulling Colleen close. "I'm long over it anyway since I now have this cutie pie."
Colleen giggled bashfully but Joshua shook his head. "I'd be careful around her, man," he warned to the brunette. "As someone who has, like, dated her before and stuff, she's not as sweet as she's pretending to be."
"Zip it!" Harper growled, glaring at his ex-boyfriend.
"Joshua please, I already don't like it when Light does this," Colleen begged. "I don't need you to do it as well. Whatever history you have with her doesn't negate the fact that Harper has been the most sweetest and supportive person to me as of late. I love her very much."
"D'awww, I love you too, pumpkin," Harper replied, nuzzling up against Colleen and giving her some smooches.
Joshua rolled his eyes and simply rejoined with Light, who was equally as annoyed. "She's got her in real deep, man," he whispered. "Maybe it's just a lost cause?"
"No, it can't be," Light declined. "I refuse to let that happen. I will eventually show her the light… No pun, intended."
Joshua smirked and let out a small chuckle. "That's cool, man," he said.
"Whoa, guys," Robin called out. "I think I see the camp!"
"No way, finally!" Colleen cheered, dancing around with Harper in excitement. All five of them then headed straight towards the hopeful sight and sure enough, it was the camp. Once they made it, they all cheered together and gave some high-fives.
"Hey, pipe it down over there," Chris grumbled from his beach chair. "Can't a guy get some peace and quiet for once?"
"Well, like, what happens now, dude?" Joshua asked nonchalantly.
"You're still missing a teammate, it looks like," Chris pointed out as he peeked over his sunglasses. "So, the challenge is not finished. Better hope Van and Shane's teammates don't get here before Luna does."
The Titans all stared at Van and Shane waving at them mockingly by the campfire. "What's good, y'all," Van greeted.
Harper frowned and clenched his teeth. "Come on, Luna," he grumbled. "Don't make us lose."
Back in the jungle, Miriam and Tala were still riding atop of the triceratops in search of the camp. The ride was rather smooth but a bit slow. It was okay for them, however, as Tala and Miriam were really starting to get along and chat more. "So that's how I learned a bit of those fighting techniques," Miriam explained, as she was actually sitting backwards to face Tala directly. "The city is full of people who basically are there to just teach you how to kick a lot of ass."
"I could learn but I'll still always end up being the one getting her ass kicked, I'm sure of it," Tala replied.
"Don't worry, I'll make sure that they won't get away with it," Miriam assured, making a cutthroat gesture.
"That's a bit brutal, wouldn't you say?" Tala remarked.
Miriam grinned and shrugged. "Hey, if someone hurts my friends, I'll just repay them back tenfold," she explained.
Tala felt impressed as she slowly nodded her head and pursed her lips. "I guess it is nice to know that you consider me a friend," she said.
"Of course, Tala," Miriam replied with a warm smile. "You're part of the team. You've been through what we've all been through. And you provide quite a lot to this squad."
"Well, if you say so," Tala murmured as she didn't quite know how to really respond to such compliments. Instead she caught eye on Miriam's bracelet again. She noticed the scrapes from the velociraptor's bite as well. "Hmmm, that explains why you're not missing an arm."
Miriam looked at her bracelet and smirked. "Yeah, that could've been real bad if I had pushed you out of the way with my other hand," she said.
"I suppose I should say thank you for saving me then," Tala said, rubbing her forearm.
"Ah, don't mention it," Miriam brushed it off.
"So, what's that bracelet for anyway?" Tala asked, pointing at it.
Miriam stared down at her wrist and bit her lip. "It's something just special to me, I guess," she explained.
"Was it passed down by your family?" Tala asked.
Miriam sighed and turned herself around to face away from her teammate. "Again, I don't think I trust you enough to talk about it," she said. "Sorry."
Tala nodded her head. "I understand," she said, taking in a few moments of silence. "But remember Miriam, if you change your mind, I'm right here."
"Well that's sweet of you, I guess," Miriam replied, looking back at her just a tad. "Let's just say that I had it rough growing up."
Tala slowly nodded her head. "And is that why you have a tougher exterior than usual?" she asked.
Miriam shrugged and petted the triceratops to comfort herself. "I mean, I suppose I've learned to just not expect much compassion from other people," she explained. "You gotta start doing things for yourself. It's a ruthless world out there and not many people will have your back."
Miriam then glanced back at Tala with a smile. "Which is why I cherish the few who do so much," she added. "So thank you. For having my back, Tala."
Tala returned the smile, reaching out and patting Miriam on the back. "Like this, you mean?" she joked.
Miriam scoffed playfully and rolled her eyes. "You're such a dork," she said with a giggle. Tala laughed back as well as the two girls continued to chat about other things.
(xXxXx)
Tala: I think I made a good choice going with Miriam. I've learned so much about her and well, I've come to respect her a lot now. (taps her pointers together) Maybe one day I'll soon have her trust. Because I'm still very curious about her past. Especially now that it's implied it hasn't been all that great.
(xXxXx)
Back at the camp, the others were still waiting. Chris was on his third drink at this point as Chef sharpened his machete quietly to himself. From the corner of his eyes, he spotted something however. "What the?" he grumbled.
"Alright, we made it!" Miriam cheered as she slowed the triceratops to a halt. "Come on, Tala."
As Miriam and Tala hopped off their ride, giving it nice thankful pats on the head as they did, the Titans looked defeated. "Christ's sake, Luna," Harper grumbled.
"Well, I guess we lose?" Robin pondered sadly.
Light held her hand up. "I don't think so yet," she assured.
Chris stood up from his beach chair and headed over to the Beasts, who all were gathered together cheering and hugging each other. "Congrats on getting all here in one piece," he greeted. "However, today's challenge is not over yet."
"See?" Light said to Robin, who took a sigh of relief.
"Yeah, we figured this would be the case," Miriam said, rolling her eyes. "Where's the T-Rex? Let's just get this done and over with."
"Uhhh, the T-Rex has been destroyed," Chris explained, pointing back at Light. "But it wouldn't matter anyway as the T-Rex has no part in this second part of the challenge."
"Oh," Miriam replied before shrugging. "Well, get to it already. Tell us what it is."
"Patience is a virtue," Chris responded, smiling off her demands. He pointed at the campfire, where the two wooden pedestals were. "Could each team meet me over here? And make it quick."
Once everyone gathered by the campfire pit, Chris had Chef go inside the tent for something. In the meantime, he spoke to the campers. "Throughout your entire time searching through the jungle, you've probably met your fair share of dinosaurs," he said. "But of course, dinosaurs have been extinct for over 65 million years and what we really only know of them are their fossilized skeletons."
Chef came out of the tent dragging two translucent bins that had some bones or sorts inside. Chris took the bins and set them aside. "You see those little wooden pedestal thingys?" he asked, jutting his thumb at one of them. "That's where you'll be working together as a team to fully complete a dinosaur skeleton."
"Well this is different," Joshua remarked, adjusting his beanie as he eyed closely at the bins.
"It's another case of using your collective teamwork to build something extravagant," Chris continued. "And since the Beasts have all of their campers, they get an extra helper. One that is both very knowledgeable of fossils and has quite the reach."
"Oh cool, evening things out between us," Van stated as she gave Shane a high-five. "So who we working with?"
Chris turned to Chef and nodded. "You may go get her now," he permitted before turning back to the campers. "You both will have thirty minutes to complete your skeleton. If by the end of it all no skeletons are finished, the team that's closest to such will win. And since Luna has not made it here in time, she will not be allowed to help out the Titans if she does at some point."
"That might be a blessing in disguise," Harper said to himself.
Chef then came out with the helper. She was quite tall but seemed very friendly. "G'day there everyone," she greeted. "You may remember me as Jasmine. Pleasure to meet all of you."
"Oh shoot, best Pahkitew girl is helping us?" Van remarked, swaying her hips a little. "Heck yeah, mane. We winning this fo sho."
"Welcome Jasmine," Miriam greeted as the tall lady made her way to them. "Our team is much better than that other team, so you're in good hands."
Jasmine chuckled and shook hands with Miriam. "I'll bet," she said.
"Alright, it seems you guys are quite acquainted with your helper," Chris interjected. "So let's start this part of the challenge, shall we? Each team will have to put together a unique dinosaur. Beasts, your dinosaur is the pterodactyl. And Titans, your dinosaur is the stegosaurus." Immediately after saying that, it cut to Colleen. She started welling up with tears but contained herself.
Chris snickered and slid the bins with Chef. "On the count of three, you'll open your bins and start building," the host explained as he stepped back in the middle. "Ready? 3… 2… 1… Build!"
Both teams scrambled to open their bins and inspect their respective fossils. The Beasts quickly made haste and set up the base of their pterodactyl. Since it usually flies, they had a stand they could use to help hold the skeleton upright. With this, Shane made sure it was placed nice and sturdy on the pedestal. "All safe and secured," he announced with a thumbs up.
"Good, this beast is quite the big one," Jasmine said as she took out the skull. "Luckily, I can reach pretty high for you, mates."
Miriam pulled out a part of the wings and wiped some dust off her hands. "Let's start by putting together individual body parts first and then adding them all up on the pedestal," she suggested. "As long as we keep a rhythm, we should win this."
Tala took two parts of the pterodactyl's rib cage and examined them closely. "Interesting, these aren't real fossils," she stated.
"I kinda figured that'd be the case," Van said as she began putting together a leg.
"Yep, these are definitely props," Jasmine said as she clunked a bone against her hand. "Really good ones at least."
"Hey, you think I'm gonna just let you guys handle a real fossilized skeleton," Chris interjected, crossing his arms. "Those cost a lot of money to get, first of all. And secondly, I can't risk the potential of you idiots breaking them."
"I'll break your face, if you want," Miriam grumbled, not taking a liking to being called an idiot.
"I heard that," Chris responded.
"Good," Miriam said through gritted teeth.
"Anywho, just pretend it's real and you'll be fine," Chris suggested before stepping away.
Van leaned over to Tala. "Well at least he didn't yell at you this time," she whispered.
"Well, I didn't say a single thing like you suggested earlier," Tala replied, connecting two parts of the rib cage together. "I suppose I should just treat this like a puzzle."
"Do yo thang, baby girl," Van agreed, rubbing her forearm lovingly. "How was it with Miriam, by the way?"
"It was quite nice actually," Tala answered.
"Good," Van said with a smile as she handed another rib bone to her.
"Yeah, she even saved me from being attacked by a velociraptor," Tala added, connecting the piece.
"Whoa, that's awesome," Van remarked as she attached an ankle of the pterodactyl to its left leg. "And then you pulled up on that triceratops. That was wild, mane."
"That was Miriam's doing too," Tala said, looking back at the triceratops, who was now resting peacefully. "We had a really nice conversation while riding it as well."
"Oh really?" Van said with intrigue. "What did y'all talk about?"
"Just our interests and a bit of our past," Tala explained before rubbing her palm timidly. "Although I didn't learn much from Miriam's. She told me she didn't trust me enough yet."
"Hmmm, she can sometimes be a bit closed off, I guess," Van shared as she examined her progress. "But at least y'all had fun, it seems like."
"Yeah," Tala said with a slight sigh.
Meanwhile, Shane and Jasmine worked hard together on one wing of the pterodactyl while Miriam worked on the head. "Hey Shane, look at this," Miriam called, holding up the two halves of the beak in front of her mouth. She moved them in time with her words. " Squawk, I'm Chris McLean. Squawk, and I'm a huge chicken, bawk bawk."
Shane and Jasmine giggled at her fowl impression while Miriam beamed proudly to herself. "Is she normally like this?" Jasmine asked as she carefully connected two pieces together.
"Actually, no," Shane denied, watching Miriam continue to speak with the beak. "She's usually pretty serious but I think she's just in a really good mood today. I kinda like it."
"Well, she sure is a goofy little bugger," Jasmine remarked, smiling amusedly at the dancer's antics.
Miriam put down the beak finally and shrugged. "Guess that's enough," she said. "How's your progress over there?"
"Almost done with the wing," Jasmine replied. "What about you, mate?"
Miriam held up the skull of the pterodactyl. "Just have to attach the beak," she said, her face growing a faint red. "Which is why I was messing around with it, heh heh." She rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly as Jasmine shared smirks with Shane.
(xXxXx)
Miriam: God, I don't know why I was being such a doofus there. I guess I just haven't felt this at ease since that time I single-handedly won that dance competition back in September. (crosses her arms and smirks proudly) The other dancers had no chance against me, ha!
(xXxXx)
The Twisted Titans were less at ease as they came up with a short plan for their skeleton. Robin suggested that they each should work on a different section of the body and bring them together. He worked solely on the stegosaurus' skull area. Colleen and Harper built the tail and legs. Joshua and Light were tasked with the body.
Light kept quiet as she carefully connected her pieces together but Joshua was a little more talkative. "You know, I used to grow up reading all about dinosaurs and stuff," he explained casually. "The stegosaurus was always, like, one of my favorites."
"That's nice," Light responded bluntly.
"Yeah, man," Joshua continued, wiping some sweat from his face. "I once, like, stayed up all night playing this dinosaur game on my GameStation. Then I slept entirely through class the next day."
Light grunted, not even saying anything as a response. Joshua seemed oblivious while also not really doing anything with the skeleton. "I missed that game, honestly," he rambled. "I got a lot of nostalgia for it, dude."
Light sighed and lowered her pieces. "Okay, I'm sure that it's a great game and all but now's not the time to be talking about it," she demanded. "Why aren't you even helping?"
Joshua shrugged and adjusted his beanie. "What's, like, with all the worry, man?" he asked.
"If we don't pick up the pace, we will lose," Light scolded, lowering her voice. "Do we really want to validate Miriam's cockiness even more?"
"I don't really care much about her, dude," Joshua replied, staring at Light's progress. He quietly pointed at Harper, who was busy working with Colleen while also flirting around with her. "I much rather try to get rid of her."
"But could we get enough votes to eliminate her?" Light asked, being a bit more invested in this conversation.
"Well, there's, like, six of us and we need at least three to have a potential tie," Joshua pointed out. "Well, there's me, you and I could easily convince Luna to join us, man."
"What about him?" Light muttered, eye-pointing at Robin.
"Hmmm, I could, like, try," Joshua replied, rubbing his chin. "That'll guarantee us the majority too."
Light sat back and thought deeply about this. "Maybe it's fine to lose then," she pondered. "I can always humble Miriam the next time. It's not like it would be very difficult."
"Yeah, she's a big 'ol hot head," Joshua smirked. "But still more tolerable than Shart-per."
Light immediately stared at him in bewilderment. Joshua saw this and shrugged defensively. "I think it's a good nickname for her, dude," he admitted.
"Shart-per…" Light repeated to herself before shaking her head in disgust. "What the bloody hell am I saying?"
Meanwhile, Shart-per, I mean, Harper was chatting away with Colleen. "So, if we end up losing, which is definitely a possibility, who do you want to vote out?" he asked.
"Well, we could vote off Joshua," Colleen suggested, twirling her hair. "I'm sure you'd be okay with that. Ooh, we could also vote off Luna since she cost us having a helper and all that."
"Both ideas sound good to me," Harper agreed before tapping his chin. "Although, I kinda wish Light could go. She's been really really getting on my nerves, babe. Perhaps you should hang with her less."
Colleen gave her a stern look. "Harper, if I told Light to stop trying to split me and you up," she began. "Then I expect you to not do the same, alright?"
"Oh my apologies, sweetheart," Harper replied, patting Colleen's hand. "You can be friends and spend time with Light all you want… just as long as you make sure to spend a little more time with me, of course."
"Oh, absolutely honey cakes," Colleen assured, smiling lovingly at him. "Thank you so much for being understanding. Maybe hopefully one day you and Light can be friends as well."
Harper tried to fake a smile. "Oh, sure. Yeah, I guess that would be just… swell," he said reluctantly. He turned away for a bit as his face immediately dropped to disgust after saying that. He mumbled something quietly to himself. "That's never gonna happen, dear."
Harper then got up and brushed some dirt off from his skirt. "Um, excuse me, sweetie," he said. "I need to go do something real quick."
"Do you need a bathroom break?" Colleen asked, rocking back and forth on her knees.
"Yeah, sure," Harper lied as he stared off at the Beasts and their skeleton. "It'll be short and sweet, okay cutie? I'll be right back. Keep up the great work."
"I will!" Colleen chirped, humming happily to herself.
As Harper walked off, heading towards the Beasts, Light quickly stopped him. "Where are you going?" she demanded.
Harper shot a repulsed look at her. "Just gonna use the bathroom," he answered, waving her aside arrogantly. "Geez, out of my way already."
Harper carried on, scooting past Light with no regards to her. Light watched him walk off, growling angrily to herself. Suddenly, she felt Joshua's hand grab her arm. She snapped in his direction. "What?" she scowled.
"Relax, dude," Joshua soothed before growing a sinister smile. "She's just making it easier for us to make her meet her ultimate demise."
Light slowly nodded her head. "Yes… I suppose that is so," she agreed before sitting back down with him.
Meanwhile, Harper strutted his way towards the Beasts area. Miriam saw him and immediately approached him with contempt. "You better get the hell away from my team," she growled with a fierce look on her eyes.
"Geez, what's your deal?" Harper replied, giving Miriam a disgusted look.
"I know what you did yesterday," Miriam said through clenched teeth. "You tricked Wayne into blowing me up. Well, I'm not gonna allow that to happen again."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Harper scoffed, feeling genuinely offended by the accusation. "I never knew Wayne had planned to do any of that. And I never explicitly asked him to blow you up. Are you losing your mind? Did you get a concussion from the explosion?"
"Shut up," Miriam snapped, stepping closer to him. "You said something to him that made him snap. And I wanna know what it was."
Harper seemed flabbergasted as he nervously looked around himself. "Look, all I told Wayne was how I was scared and that I didn't like you," he confessed. "If that was enough to make him snap then that's on him, not me."
"You know damn well Wayne and I had our problems," Miriam replied. "I don't think you simply told him that you didn't like me."
"Well fine, I told him that you once threatened to kill me," Harper groaned, reluctantly telling the truth.
"I never did such a thing, are you freaking kidding me?" Miriam yelled, getting really frustrated at this point.
"Yes you did," Harper corrected, getting frustrated as well.
"When?" Miriam asled.
"You remember back at the city challenge?" Harper began to explain. "I closed the bus door on you and had a little fun mocking you. Then you go too far and say that you're gonna kill me. Then, also at the metro station, you threatened to tear me apart. What's with girls behaving violently with me these days? You and Light are both insane!"
Miriam stared at him, heavily breathing before easing her demeanor with a more regretful look on her face. "I was a different person back then," she explained, lowering her head a little. "I'm sorry if I made you scared by the things I said."
Harper crossed his arms and tapped his foot on the ground. "It was very uncalled for," he said, before sighing. "But because I understand you more now, I can forgive you… So are we cool?"
"No," Miriam denied, shooting her head up. "But… I guess you don't seem as bad as I initially thought you were."
"Well that's good to hear, I guess," Harper said with a shrug. "And just know this, I hate Wayne just as much as you over what he tried to do. I may dislike you, but I would never want to see you get that hurt."
"Yeah…" Miriam sighed, rubbing the back of her neck before squinting suspiciously at him. "Though you seemed alright with Light kicking me hard in the stomach."
"Because of your threats, duh," Harper defended. "But I'm currently having issues with that dumb meathead, so maybe I regret letting her do that to you too."
"Light and I also have our problems too," Miriam replied with a smirk. "But I'm sure you're aware of that already."
"I hope you finally put her in her place one of these days," Harper said.
"Ha, I hope so too," Miriam agreed.
(xXxXx)
Harper: With Wayne going out the way he did, my plans to control the other team have changed. So that's why I played nice with Miriam there. Having their strongest player on my good side is not a bad strategy, especially if she makes it to the merge. Oh, and I was genuine when I told her that I wanted her to put Light in her place. That meathead needs to be humbled so badly.
Miriam: I'm still wary of Harper but as I've learned throughout this season so far, everyone isn't as they always seem at first. And if Harper isn't a fan of Light either, then at least we have some common ground.
(xXxXx)
Robin worked quietly on the skull of the stegosaurus. He hadn't really spoken much since they started as he was mostly just focused. However, that would soon change when Colleen approached him. "Oh hey, what's up?" he greeted.
"Hey Robin, how've you been?" Colleen asked as she took a seat next to him.
Robin shrugged as he tinkered with one of the stegosaurus' spikes. "Better than I was this morning," he answered.
"Yeah, that's good to hear," Colleen replied, watching him closely. "...Are you sure you're not mad at me?"
"Colleen, I'm not mad," Robin assured. "And I'm really glad we were able to talk things out earlier."
Colleen nodded her head slightly and looked straight in thought. "Yeah, me too…" she agreed.
"You and I have been friends for some time now," Robin said. "I'm not gonna let some romance problems ruin that, okay?"
Colleen glanced back at Robin and grew a thankful smile. "Okay," she said softly, gently rubbing his shoulder. Then she leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Robin blushed a little but was overall relieved. Both he and Colleen could mutually feel that everything was going to be alright between them.
"Whoa, cheating on me already," said the voice of Harper, who returned from his "bathroom break".
Colleen quickly got up and panicked. "No, no, no, I was just chatting. It was a friendly kiss, I promise," she defended frantically.
Harper laughed and held up a hand. "Take it easy, darling," he soothed with a sassy wink. "I was just joking. But I'm happy that everything seems alright between you and Robin now."
Colleen took a deep breath. "Oh, phew, thank you," she huffed. "Yeah, him and I are totally cool now."
Robin nodded along and held a thumbs up. "Totally, man," he added, using a brief Geoff impression.
Harper giggled and pinched Colleen on the cheek a little. "Alrighty then," he said. "How's our progress been?"
"Ooh, I'm nearly done," Colleen reported excitedly, beckoning him over. "Come on, let's finish it together."
Back over by the Beasts, Jasmine held up a fully completed wing of the pterodactyl. "All finished. What about the rest of ya?" she asked.
Van and Tala pointed at the fossilized rib cage and legs they had made a lot of progress on. "Think we're nearly all set with this," Van announced, glancing over towards Miriam. "How's yours?"
Miriam held up the skull she was working on. "Looks like we're almost ready to put this together," she said. "Just need to start working on that last wing. Care to join me Shane?"
"Absolutely," Shane agreed, scooting over towards the last pile of bones they needed to use.
Jasmine took the legs of the pterodactyl and rested it up against the pedestal stand, then she placed the ribs on top. "Seems stable," she remarked as she rubbed her chin. "Okay, skull's next."
Van brushed off some dirt from her hand and helped Jasmine hoist up the skull and place it gently on top of the pterodactyl's spine. With only the wings needed, all of the Beasts (and Jasmine) then decided to help Miriam and Shane.
"So Jasmine, what did you do after Pahkitew was over?" Van asked as they all sorted through some fossils.
"Well, I went back home obviously," Jasmine answered with a sly smile. "But I definitely took a much needed shower and rest."
"Oh yeah, forgot Chris didn't even give you something to wash up with," Van said, holding up a claw. "At least we earned some pretty bomb ass showers."
"Lucky," Jasmine replied. "He even let you borrow some tents. We had to build our own shelter."
"Yeah, it seems like Chris might've eased up on the whole survival aspect of the show," Van stated as she connected something.
"I've overheard from rumors on the internet that there's been some internal changes within the production crew," Jasmine explained as she wiped some sweat from her forehead. "Might explain the different direction this show seems to be taking."
"Yeah, I guess Pahkitew was kind of a failure," Van confessed before patting Jasmine on the shoulder. "Not because of you though. You was easily one of the best parts of that season."
Jasmine blushed and waved off the compliment. "Aw thanks, mate," she responded. "I'd honestly do it all again if I could."
"For real?" Van asked, raising an eyebrow in intrigue.
"Oh for sure," Jasmine affirmed. "It was an experience I'll never forget. Plus I met the love of my life there."
"Hah yeah, I forgot to ask about Shawn," Van chuckled as she examined the fossil that was now in her hand. "Cool to hear that y'all still together."
"Mmhmm, we've kept in contact with each other everyday since," Jasmine explained, just blushing at the thought of him. "He and I have some of the silliest conversations sometimes." She then laughed and sighed romantically. "Yeah, if there's one thing I'll never deny Total Drama for, is that they really hit it out of the ballpark when it comes to relationships."
"You know what? I totally agree wit ya there, sista," Van agreed as she glanced lovingly at Tala, who noticed her and waved bashfully. Van gave her a wink then blew her a kiss. Jasmine watched them with a big smile on her face.
(xXxXx)
Jasmine: It was such a pleasure meeting the new generation. Van especially seems to have a great head on her shoulders. (scratches her chin) You know, just between me and you mates, I wouldn't mind coming back for another season at some point.
(xXxXx)
Harper and Colleen were over by their fossils again, working together to finish everything up. "So, let's say we don't end up winning," Harper said, proposing a hypothetical situation. "Well, it's gonna suck to not have those massages so I was just thinking… Maybe we could just give each other massages."
"Oh, that sounds nice," Colleen agreed as she blushed just thinking about the possibility.
Harper grew a devious smirk. "Who knows, we could even have a happy ending," he joked.
Colleen sat up straight and looked at Harper in disappointment. "Relax," was all she said but it was enough for Harper to burst out in giggles. Colleen rolled her eyes. "We've just started dating."
"I know, I know," Harper replied, recomposing himself. "I'm just being a little menace, remember? But would you at least be okay with a little cuddling later?"
"Um, I guess that's fine," Colleen agreed with a shrug.
"Great!" Harper chirped. "It'd be just like when I cuddle with Mr. Floppy Ears."
"Mr. Who?" Colleen questioned.
"Mr. Floppy Ears," Harper repeated. "He's my stuffed bunny that I love sleeping with. I practically can't sleep without him."
"Ohhh, that's cute," Colleen gushed. "I like sleeping with a lot of stuffed animals too but I didn't bring any with me unfortunately."
"Well, I'm sure Mr. Floppy Ears will be okay snuggling with the both of us," Harper stated, playfully pinching Colleen on the cheek.
Meanwhile, Joshua was with Light and he overheard a bit of their conversation. "Huh, the bunny is called Mr. Floppy Ears…" Joshua remarked quietly.
"What?" Light questioned, not being fully sure what he was talking about.
"Shart-per sleeps with this stuffed bunny," Joshua explained with a shrug. "And apparently, like, his name is Mr. Floppy Ears or whatever. Isn't that dumb?"
Light gave a disinterested nod. "I guess," she answered with a shrug. "But I don't really care honestly."
"Hey, are you guys ready to put this dinosaur together now?" Robin asked from his spot.
Light and Joshua looked at their part of the skeleton. "I suppose we are," Light said, getting up to her feet. "You have the head done?"
"Just about," Robin affirmed as he connected the last piece nicely. He stood up and dragged the skull as it was quite heavy. Light went up to him and picked it up with ease, causing him to chuckle awkwardly. "Heh heh, thanks."
Light grunted and stared back at Harper and Colleen. "Are you two done?" she asked. "We're about to put this whole thing together."
"Almost," Colleen answered happily. "What does it look like over there by the Beasts?"
Robin took a quick look and frowned. "Crap, they're working on the last wing," he announced. "Their pterodactyl is practically complete."
"Let's hustle then," Harper said, putting the last spike of the stegosaurus in its place. "We can still easily win this."
The Titans quickly started connecting their parts together, making sure they didn't accidentally break anything in the process. Joshua was the only one not participating as he simply stood up with his arms crossed and watched them do everything. "Still no sign of Luna, man," he said. "Maybe she legit did get eaten or something."
Light smirked and wiped off some sweat with her forearm. "Can't say I'm surprised," she remarked. "She's way too unhinged to care about her own safety."
"I wonder if she's just being chased around right now by some crazy dinosaur," Robin added.
Just then, an aggravated scream could be heard, startling everyone at the camp. Like it was somehow prompted, Luna finally made it to the camp and still was being chased by Dakota-zoid. "Quit running away from me!" the mutated girl growled fiercely.
Chris spotted them and grew a smirk. "About time," he said.
"Hey guys!" Luna called out as she sprinted her way around the perimeter of the camp. "I'm, uh, dealing with a bit of an issue right now." Most of the Titans watched the chase going down in total disbelief. Light face-palmed herself. Colleen and Robin shared looks. Harper rubbed his temples and Joshua just stood there with a nonchalant look on his face.
"RAHHHH!!!" Dakota-zoid roared, swiping fiercely at Luna's direction. "Dakota-zoid can do this all day."
Chris continued to watch everything with an amused expression. "This is entertainment," he remarked. Luna then started sprinting towards the campfire, more preferably to meet up with her team. Chris' smirk promptly dropped. "No, don't bring her here!"
Luna didn't listen as she headed straight for her team's skeleton, attempting to use it to hide for some reason. Dakota-zoid was not duped and only grew more angry. She came charging right after her, inadvertently colliding with the Titans' skeleton. She thrashed about all over the pedestal while Luna hid behind Light next.
Suddenly, Chef came out with a tranquilizer gun from the tent and aimed directly at Dakota-zoid's backside. She was too busy raging to notice and soon after she abruptly stopped all movement and fell face first to the ground, revealing a tranquilizer dart punctured deep in the back of her thigh. Chef simply blew the nozzle of his gun and spun it into a holster on his waist before heading back to the tent with a proud smile on his face.
Meanwhile, the Beasts had finished up their skeleton through all of the commotion and called for Chris. The host spotted them and their full pterodactyl skeleton before taking a gander at the Titan's now destroyed stegosaurus' one. "For the second time in their history, the Bionic Beasts have won today's challenge!" he announced.
The Beasts all cheered with excitement and even Jasmine joined in with them. The Titans, however, were going through a mix of emotions. Luna tried sneaking off but Light quickly snatched her and plopped her in the center of everyone. The crazy girl chuckled nervously. "My bad…?" she croaked.
"What happened?" Robin asked, scratching his head. "And where have you been?"
"I was looking for gators and then I found the Dakota-zoid just up and about," Luna explained. "Did you know that she's in a kahoots with both Chris and Sam?"
Light face-palmed once again. "Idiot…" she grumbled. Joshua wasn't as annoyed and patted Light on the back, as if to tell her that it was fine. Light dropped her hand and sighed. "Well, at least you're alive…"
"Oh yeah, I even got her tooth," Luna shared as she held up the tooth that she had yanked out of Dakota-zoid's mouth.
"This freakin' lunatic, I swear to God," Harper grumbled to himself before glancing over at Colleen. "Welp, guess we're massaging each other." Colleen simply blushed in response.
Chris snickered as he held his hands behind his back. "So since the Beasts won, they'll have quite the relaxing night," he said. "But Titans, I fully expect to see you all at the elimination ceremony tonight. As for you Jasmine, you can hop in that helicopter over there. Chef, take care of Dakota-zoid, will ya?"
Chef grumbled and went over to the unconscious mutated girl and hoisted her up over his shoulders, taking her to the helicopter. Meanwhile, Jasmine said her good-byes to the Beasts. "It was a pleasure helping you win," she farewelled. "You mates take care now. Van, especially you."
Van smiled and reached out for a hug. "Aww, thanks boo," she said. "Say hi to Shawn for me."
"Will do," Jasmine agreed before heading off to the helicopter herself.
Afterwards, Chris made one more announcement. "You know the drill everyone," he said. "Meet me by the safe room in five minutes. There's a second one just over there at the corner of this camp. How did you think I got here before all of you, after all?"
As he left, the Beasts celebrated some more with each other. "Today was incredible," Miriam said. "This proves that Wayne was our problem all along."
"Indeed so," Shane agreed, patting her and Van on the backs. "Well done everyone."
"Woohoo!" Van cheered before stretching her back. "Now quickly, let's get going. The sooner we get those massages, the better." She grabbed Tala by the hand next. "Ready, baby girl?"
"Of course," Tala affirmed before the two headed out.
Miriam held a fist out to Shane with a proud smile. "Put 'er there, Super Shane," she said.
Shane returned the fist bump before noticing the scrapes on her wrist. "Oh gee, what happened there?" he asked with concern.
"Just had a little scuffle with a velociraptor," Miriam explained rather calmly. "I kicked its head right off though so I'm fine."
"Oh my," Shane gulped. "You certainly are one tough lady."
Miriam laughed a little. "Did you just find that out now?" she mocked before holding her hand out to him. "Come on, Van and Tala are waiting for us."
Shane grabbed Miriam by the hand and the two headed off, but not before Miriam made sure to mock the Titans a little by sticking her tongue out at them. Light glared back but soon lowered her head. "She isn't the focus anymore," she grumbled to herself before moving her glare at an unsuspecting Harper.
Colleen stood next to him and fiddled with her hair. "Well, I guess we're gonna vote off Luna, right?" she asked her team.
"Probably," Robin agreed.
"No!" Luna protested, stamping her foot on the ground. "Don't vote for me, vote for Harper!"
Harper gave her a glare. "Why?" he asked sternly.
"Because you hit me with a two-by-four back on the ships!" Luna answered. "That's the real reason why I was knocked out!"
"Wait what? I thought you said she fell and bumped her head," Robin questioned, feeling conflicted.
"Harper… Is this true?" Colleen asked nervously.
"Absolutely not!" Harper denied, getting all flustered. "Why the hell would she tell this now and not, I don't know, at the shipyard?"
"I was saving it for a moment like this," Luna explained confidently as she shared a nod with Joshua.
"So did Joshua lie about it too since he was there?" Robin asked, remembering that aspect.
"I didn't see what actually happened, I only went by, like, Harper's word and stuff," Joshua lied, keeping a cool demeanor. "So, I don't know man, this could be true."
"It is true," Light interjected, glancing over towards Colleen. "I told you to be careful around her for a reason."
"What the frick are you all talking about!?" Harper growled, his face getting all red and his body language showing clear distress. "Why is everyone ganging up on me now!?"
"Because you're evil!" Luna shouted.
"I'm not! Stop!" Harper shouted back before turning to a timid Colleen. "Sweetie, you have to believe me here. I never did such a thing. They're all trying to conspire against me here. Please don't fall for it. You have to believe me, please!"
"Don't believe her, Colleen," Light ordered. "She needs to go before she hurts someone else… possibly you."
Colleen fiddled with her hair nervously and stared at the ground. Her heart was beating heavily in her chest and she felt some air in her lungs escape her. "I… I don't… Oh, I can't take this," she whined, clasping her head in distress.
"Alright listen up," Robin stepped in, attempting to mediate things. "Only Harper and Luna truly know what happened and since we really don't have any evidence for either side, let's just drop this and focus on what happened today."
"Well Harper still has my vote, no matter what," Light confessed without any hesitation.
"Same," Joshua agreed to which Harper would glare at him.
"It doesn't matter right now," Robin continued. "We'll keep a close eye on both Luna and Harper for sure but it's best to not make any more accusations. Now, let's all relax and keep our heads up. We don't need to be like the Beasts and attempt to blow each other up, alright? So… is everyone cool now?"
"Cool as ice," Joshua affirmed while most of the others simply nodded quietly. Robin then headed towards the safe room, with a few of his teammates following him.
Harper would go up to Colleen, tears forming in his eyes. "Colleen… I didn't do such a thing…" he whimpered. "You believe me, right?"
Colleen remained quiet with her gaze still directed at the ground. Harper scooted closer and put a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Please… I didn't do it," he continued. "This must be Joshua's idea to conspire against me. He saw what happened. He knows the truth and he's lying straight to our faces."
Colleen twiddled with her thumbs and took a deep breath. "I believe you, Harper," she said. "I don't see it in you to do something like that."
Harper sniffed and leaned in to give Colleen a grateful hug. "Thank you…" he cried softly.
Colleen caressed Harper on the back, becoming more relaxed than she was before. "I love you," she purred.
"I love you too," Harper said through tears and sniffs.
Light saw the two and rolled her eyes. "You're making a mistake, Colleen," she warned.
"Light, just let it be," Colleen demanded as she stepped away from her embrace with Harper and glared at the martial artist. "I really don't want to have to tell you again."
Light crossed her arms and kept her mouth shut. Colleen would then head to the safe room with the others, leaving Harper with just Light. The femboy turned to her and shook his head. "Unbelievable," he grunted, wiping some tears away. "You keep trying to tear me and Colleen apart. You're a monster."
Light snarled her teeth and tensed herself up. "I know what you're doing," she said sternly. "Colleen is naive and you're taking full advantage of that."
"You can't prove any of that," Harper countered, looking quite irritated now. "Maybe you should reconsider this whole situation because Joshua is the one you should be concerned about. I broke up with him for a reason and it wasn't because of me wanting to flirt around. Whatever suspicions you have about me, direct them to that punk. Unlike me, he will actually stab you in the back."
Light scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You don't bloody get it, do you?" she replied. "I can see through just about everything. When I sense evil from a person, I'm right on the money. And I don't sense evil from Joshua. Only from you."
"Well, you might be overselling your skill then," Harper said before shaking his head. "Whatever though, I have an elimination ceremony to prepare for."
Before Harper could leave, Light got up real close to him, staring daggers. "Just understand this," she grumbled, jamming a finger into his shoulder. "The moment you hurt Colleen, is the moment I hurt you."
Light stoically walked away with Harper keeping his glare on her as she did. He felt the urge to just charge after her but knew that he had to keep his cool. He took a deep breath, attempting to calm himself before he finally headed towards the safe room to meet up with the rest of his team.
(xXxXx)
Harper: I am so sick of Light's petty threats. Why does she care so much about what I may or may not do to Colleen? Geez, you would think she had, like, a crush on the girl or something… (slowly grows a smirk) Oh, I know exactly what to say to set her off now. (laughs menacingly)

The island had morphed back to normal and everyone was at their camps. Chris was with the Bionic Beasts, where four massage tables were set up. "Congrats again on winning today's challenge," the host said, standing next to one of the four masseuses. "As promised, you will be rewarded with high quality massages from these beautiful ladies."
One of the masseuses put on some gloves and smirked at the Beasts. "I'll take the first volunteer," she offered.
Miriam peeked down at Shane, who seemed to be blushing a little. With a chuckle, she pushed Shane forward. "Go for it, superhero," she said.
Shane laid stomach down on one of the massage tables, where the masseuse gently began rubbing his back and shoulders. Shane moaned in relief and felt his body ease up. "Amazing, I can actually feel all the tension and stress escape my body," he said.
Chris stood there and watched for a bit before smiling at the others. "Welp, enjoy!" he said. He made a quick stop by one of the masseuses, gesturing his hands like he was on the phone. "Call me, darling."
The masseuse simply rolled her eyes as Chris eventually left the camp altogether. She then called up the next Beast to a table. Miriam took this one and removed her vest to make it easier for the masseuse. "Hot showers and massages," she remarked as she enjoyed the relaxing rubs. "These muscles are gonna be so refreshed for tomorrow."
Soon, all four of them were getting their massages together and having a good, relaxing time. Afterwards, they thanked the masseuses when they were finished and regrouped by the campfire. Van took in a slow deep breath and smiled. "That was very much needed," she said.
"I feel like I could run a marathon now," Miriam added, flexing her legs a little. "Who wants to join me?"
"Let's just relax for the rest of the night," Van replied, reaching over towards Tala. "Things were nice today, wasn't it?"
"Besides being chased by the occasional dinosaur, I would say that I agree," Tala responded with a shrug.
"Yeah, that was wild," Van said. "Glad we all ended up being okay."
"It was indeed a high-risk challenge," Shane added, wiggling his now fully relaxed shoulders. "Maybe our most dangerous one yet."
"I'm still hoping for that western themed challenge," Van piped, spinning some imaginary revolver in her hand.
"I just want something a little less straining," Shane confessed. "I love how relaxed I feel and I want to keep it that way for a bit."
Miriam smirked and wiggled her eyebrows at Shane. "You were really enjoying yourselves back there," she playfully jabbed.
Shane blushed profusely and chuckled awkwardly. "I won't deny that those masseuses were-" he attempted to say.
"Hot as hell, I know," Van interrupted.
"I was gonna put it more modestly but yeah," Shane replied with a shrug.
"They were, uh, quite something," Tala said quietly.
Van looked at her with a smirk. "Were they turning you on, baby girl?" she asked facetiously.
"Van!" Tala shouted, feeling completely embarrassed by such a question. Van fell off her bench, laughing like a complete idiot. Miriam and Shane couldn't help but laugh too. Tala's cheeks were bright red and she clenched her teeth. "Welp, my muscles are all tensed up again… So much for those massages, heh heh."
Van pulled herself up and wiped some joyful tears from her eyes. "Oh, I'm jus' messin' with you, girl," she giggled, taking back her seat. "I didn't mean to embarrass you that much, I'm sorry."
"You're fine, Van," Tala replied, metaphorically shaking off some of the awkwardness from her shoulders. "I'll admit, the one working on me seemed quite nice… But not as nice as you, of course."
"Real smooth, baby girl," Van responded, still chuckling a little. There was a bit of empty silence before someone else spoke up.
"Hey Tala, I just wanna say something real quick," Miriam said, brushing some loose hair behind her ear. "I really had a lot of fun tagging up with you for the challenge. You and I had some really cool conversations that helped me learn a bit more about myself. So thank you."
"Oh, you're welcome Miriam," Tala replied.
"Heh, I can see why Van fell in love with you," Miriam added with a playful smirk.
Tala blushed and crossed her legs bashfully. "Yeah…" she said as her heart fluttered. "And I guess I know why Van considers you her ride or die now. You're pretty cool."
Van couldn't help but have a huge smile. "Aww, you absolutely love to see it," she swooned, giving Tala a side-hug. "My two closest girls becoming close themselves. Y'all sisters now, ya hear?"
"And then there's me," Shane said, feeling a bit left out.
"Don't worry, Shane," Miriam assured, placing a hand on his arm. "We all love our sweet, little superhero."
Shane chuckled bashfully over this. "The squad is now even stronger, I suppose," he said. "But seriously, I've really grown to appreciate all of you. When this show's over, we should still keep in touch."
"Oh fo sho, sweetheart," Van said standing up to her feet. "Come on y'all, let's group hug." And so all four of them got up to have one big embrace besides the campfire. It seemed for once that everything with the Beasts was truly gonna be alright.
It couldn't be said the same for the Twisted Titans, however, as tensions at their camp were still high. Luna, as usual, made everyone soup but there was a different atmosphere at the metaphorical dinner table. One that had Joshua and Light having a low-key staredown with Harper. Meanwhile, Colleen snuggled up against his side, quietly observing the woods in the background.
Robin sat by himself with his bowl, keeping a close eye on all of his team. "Look, I know things may be rough right now but we will overcome this," he said.
"Aw Robin, I love how optimistic you always try to be," Colleen said, her head now resting against Harper's forearm. "The best thing we need from you is to keep our spirits high."
"Exactly," Robin agreed, taking a quick sip of his soup. "It's what I've been doing since that one night we had."
"Yeah, I remember that," Colleen said, before thinking of something. "Was that when you started having a crush on me?"
Robin rubbed his chin. "Nah, I believe it was maybe during the beach challenge," he confessed. "I think just seeing how much you cared for me when I got hurt by Fang kinda set it off from there."
"It was also cuz of your bikini showing off a bit of your hoochies," Luna added, which almost caused Robin to shriek in disbelief. Luna laughed at his reaction, rolling on the floor. Colleen seemed slightly embarrassed as she peeked up towards Harper. The femboy, however, seemed quite amused.
Robin flushed but at the same time, couldn't really deny it. "Colleen caught me slippin', not gonna lie," he quipped with a few awkward chuckles while making Colleen giggle a little too.
"And I caught Ezra slippin' too," Luna added through her giggles.
"Good times," Robin said, nodding his head with a smile. "Ooh, check this out. I've been working on this since he left." He cleared his throat and then began speaking in an Ezra impression. "Rock on everybody, woooo!"
"Dang, that was spot freaking on," Colleen gasped in admiration.
"You gots me all excited," Luna squealed. "I really thought he somehow returned at first."
"Can't wait to show him that," Robin said, back to his normal voice.
"He might piss himself laughing," Harper joked before smooching Colleen on the top of her head. He then noticed Light's and Joshua's eyes still locked onto him. "Okay, like, can you two stop giving me that look? It's really creeping me out."
All the attention then geared towards the two. Joshua decided to speak first. "Light told me what you tried to do, man," he said. "Being a jerk is one thing but trying to, like, pin everything on me is where I draw the line."
Harper furrowed his eyebrows and frowned. "I mean, was I wrong?" he asked.
"Uhhh, what happened?" Robin interjected with confusion.
"Don't worry about it, man," Joshua replied before looking over towards Luna. "May I, like, have some more soup?"
"Of course, Tony Hawk," Luna said, taking his bowl to go refill.
Harper was still quite annoyed but he directed it towards Light this time. "And you," he said, pointing a finger at her. "Don't think I'm letting you get away with all the threats of violence you keep giving me." Light simply just snarled at her.
"Light, did you threaten Harper like that?" Colleen asked, scooting herself up to sit straight.
Light eyed around at her team before sighing. "Because I am an honest person, unlike Harper, I will admit that I have threatened her a few times," she confessed. "But it was always because she would show her cruel side to me."
"You literally snatched me by the collar, hoisted me up in the air, then threatened to slam me into the cave walls yesterday," Harper recalled as he pushed himself up to his feet. Colleen looked up to him with worry growing in her eyes.
"Yes… But it was for a good reason," Light grumbled, also picking herself up.
"What? Because you were mad that I broke up with Joshua when it was none of your freaking business?" Harper interrogated, inching closer to the martial artist. Colleen felt her stomach sink a little.
"You were also calling me a bunch of insults that I did not like," Light countered, breathing heavily.
"Well, I was so frustrated with you telling lies behind my back," Harper explained, rolling his eyes. "You remember that, do you?"
"They weren't lies…" Light grumbled as she saw Harper slowly get more and more closer to her.
"They damn well were!" Harper snapped, causing everyone in the camp around them to get pretty uncomfortable.
Colleen picked herself up and quickly grabbed Harper by the hand. "Please, let's not do this," she pleaded.
Light's intense glare was at a level rarely seen. "Step closer to me, I dare you," she threatened.
Harper turned back to Colleen and scoffed. "Do you see what I mean?" he asked. "Have I ever said something like that to anyone?"
Colleen let out a distressed whine and clenched onto Harper's hand tighter. "Light please, just relax," she begged. "If you leave Harper be, I'll have her leave you be. Just please, I beg of you to stop threatening her. You're really scaring me…"
Light crossed her arms and seemed almost reluctant to listen. "How much brainwashing have you done to her?" she asked slowly to Harper.
"You're just jealous that I made out with your secret crush, aren't ya?" Harper replied with an evil smirk.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Light grumbled, being taken aback by this statement. She tensed up her shoulders, gritted her teeth and formed fists.
"Admit it, you secretly are in love with Colleen and so you're taking out your jealousy on me," Harper explained, crossing his arms defiantly. Colleen didn't know what to say. She was honestly as surprised by this as Light was.
"I am NOT in love with Colleen!" Light denied profusely. "I am simply just her friend! I do not bloody care who she dates, just as long as it isn't you. And that's because you are straight up evil!"
Harper seemed to have enough and marched right towards Light. "Will you STOP with this evil conspiracy crap, you stupid asshole!" he yelled angrily, practically now touching noses with her.
"Get out of my face!" Light screamed as she aggressively shoved him to the ground. Harper would fall back and end up spraining his wrist to which the femboy would yelp in pain due to such. Light didn't seem to care, however. She approached him menacingly, cracking her knuckles and looking ready to give him more pain. But someone quickly stepped in.
"Light!" Colleen scolded as she ran up to Harper to comfort him. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
"She was invading my personal space," Light defended, eyeing around nervously. "I didn't want to escalate it-"
"Yeah, you did," Harper cried, rubbing his sore wrist.
"Shut the hell up!" Light snapped.
Colleen got up and stormed right up to Light, a beyond furious look on her face. "That is enough!" she yelled, jamming a finger right into Light's shoulder. The martial artist was super taken aback by this. Colleen shook her head disappointedly. "I've asked you so many times to not start this with Harper."
"But she started it," Light tried to explain, getting all flustered. "Come on, you were right there."
"You threatened me beforehand so I confronted you about it," Harper recalled, tears covering his cheeks. "I have never gotten violent with you but you always have so with me and I'm freaking tired of it!"
"Well, I only do it because I know that you're always up to no good," Light countered, her emotions all over the place. "And I just can't stand-"
"Stop!" Colleen screamed, causing the entire camp to fall silent. She sniffed and started to form tears. "Light, I can't take this anymore. If you can't control yourself around my girlfriend, then you can forget about our friendship."
Light shook her head and clutched onto Colleen by the forearms. "No, no, no, don't do this. She's getting in your head," she panicked. "You need to rethink this. You don't know what you're doing."
"I know damn well what I'm doing," Colleen shouted, shoving Light away in frustration. "And this entire time, you've been doing nothing but trying to separate Harper and I. You're always starting arguments with her. You're always trying to manipulate me to turn on her and I've asked you so many freakin' times to stop it." Colleen could feel so much anger boil inside her as she seemed to be losing control. "But yet, even after all of this, you're still doing it!!!" she screamed those last words so harshly that it even scared Light a little. That's when Colleen fell to her knees and began sobbing deeply into her hands.
At this point, Light was absolutely crushed. She didn't know what to do, what to say. She never wanted to make Colleen cry. Especially like this. "Colleen…" she said meekly as it almost seemed like she was about to cry herself.
"Just go away…" Colleen whimpered, not even bothering to look at her anymore. Robin and the other bystanders were in complete disbelief as to what just happened while Harper scooted his way next to Colleen, letting her fall into him so he could comfort her. As she sobbed into his chest, Harper just glared at Light, shaking his head. With nothing else she could possibly do, Light decided to book it. She ran away from the camp, her mind and heart sinking by the minute as she slowly realized her friendship with Colleen was over.
Meanwhile, Harper still remained by Colleen, gently caressing her back with his good hand. "We'll vote her out, okay?" he assured sweetly. "She's gone too far."
"Okay…" Colleen sniffed, unable to really move. Harper was the only thing keeping her stable at this point.
Robin tugged on his shirt collar nervously. "I'll vote for Light too," he said. "I can't believe she would make you cry like that." Harper would then beckon him over to come join him in comforting Colleen to which the impressionist did, sitting next to her on the other side.
"Luna, I would insist you vote for Light too," Robin suggested as he patted Colleen on the back. "You're forgiven for failing us the challenge."
Luna looked around awkwardly before shrugging. "Okie dokie then," she conceded, rather indifferently.
This just left Joshua. He locked eyes with Harper, who smirked once he noticed the murderous look on the skateboarder's face. Harper mouthed the words "you lose" to him before looking away with pride. Joshua just sat there in silence, his face twitching just a tad. Clearly, he was not happy with this outcome as not only was his friend an enemy to everyone else, but he knew damn well that he'd be next. With no other options, Joshua leaned over towards Luna. "We'll execute the plan soon," he whispered to which Luna would smile deviously. Afterwards, Joshua got up and quietly went inside his tent.

Joshua: (staring intensely at the confessional wall) If I'm gonna lose… (breathes heavily) She's gonna lose too…

It was now time for the elimination ceremony. The Titans sat around on chairs while Chris held the votes in his hands, having just finished with the tally. "Titans, this is only your second time here," he said. "But I could tell it was long overdue. The drama levels in your team is just way too high."
Light sat in the far right corner, hunched over with her face in her hands. Chris glanced over towards her and tapped his chin. "You seem awfully stressed," the host remarked. "Could it be because you're afraid that you got the most votes?"
With no response from Light, Chris continued. "The vote was four-to-two," he explained.
Joshua, who sat next to Light, glanced over towards the martial artist with a mournful look. "I'm sorry, man. I really tried," he said quietly. Light still had no response.
Chris seemed to be savoring this elimination for as long as he could. "The one who had the most votes is…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…Light!"
Light sighed in defeat and slowly picked herself up with her head drooped down but suddenly, Chris held his hand out. "Hold on a second, Light," he demanded. "You're not actually eliminated."
"What!?" Harper gasped in disbelief. Joshua looked over to him with a huge smile on his face. Colleen and Robin shared bewildered looks. Luna simply just picked her nose nonchalantly.
Light slowly raised her head, just as in much total disbelief as Harper. "H-how…?" she asked. "Is it non-elimination?"
Chris simply tore up the votes and tossed them aside. "Nope. The votes just didn't matter," he confessed with a sinister grin. "You see, I got a call from the producers earlier… And they told me something really really interesting."
Everyone on the Titans seemed intrigued, some observing their fellow teammates' reactions. Chris stepped away from his podium, pacing back and forth in front of the campers. "The producers told me that they were getting emails from a certain someone," he explained. "Someone that was also speaking on behalf of two other people as well as themselves."
Suddenly, he stopped right in front of Luna, staring down deviously at her. "Do you remember what you did to the likes of Heather, Izzy and Dakota?" he asked, causing Luna to gulp nervously. Chris chuckled, holding his arms behind his back. "Well, Heather has gathered them all together to form a collective lawsuit against us." Luna tugged on her collar, looking around at everyone else for some kind of help.
"But being the smart guy that I am," Chris continued. "I reminded them that it wasn't me who brutally injured them." He snickered menacingly as the Titans were slowly realizing what was happening.
Luna, hopeful that Chris was just playing around, sat up straight. "So, what's the problem?" she asked. "You've hurt the contestants lots of times."
"Ah yes, but they weren't contestants this time," Chris informed her. "They were simply guests with no contractual agreement to prevent stuff like this happening. And well, it seems like they took full advantage of such. So we had to make some negotiations."
"What does this mean…?" Colleen interjected, looking worried.
Chris' grimace grew larger. "It means that in order for us not to get sued, Luna has to go," he answered, stepping to the side and pointing at the Boat of Losers. "Your way out is that way. You've been disqualified from the competition." Almost everyone gasped once he said that.
Chris turned to Light smugly. "Consider yourself extremely lucky," he said as the martial artist stared at her hands pensively and sat back down on her chair.
Luna slowly stood up and tapped her pointers together. "Are you sure about this?" she asked.
Chris rolled his eyes. "No, I just did this whole dramatic thing just to say I'm kidding," he said sarcastically. "Get to it, crazy girl."
Luna shared disappointed looks with the likes of Colleen and Robin before stopping at Joshua. "Do I still do the plan?" she asked quietly so only she and him could hear.
Joshua looked around with a smug look on his face. "Why not?" he permitted, leaning back in his chair so he could directly see Harper.
Luna turned to Chris and held a finger up. "Just give me a sec," she pleaded. "I have to do something real quick."
Chris crossed his arms with a disinterested frown. "This better be good," he mumbled.
"Oh it will," Luna said as she sped off to retrieve something.
Meanwhile, the other Titans shared awkward looks with each other, not sure what to expect. Harper had been filing his nails quietly and rolled his eyes. "She's probably trying to hide from elimination," he mumbled.
"We have cameras everywhere," Chris reminded, tapping a finger against his forearm. "We'll find her eventually if she does."
Colleen and Robin shared shrugs, while Joshua peered over to Light. "You okay, man?" he asked.
"I think I will be," Light said breathlessly.
"You're still in big trouble with us," Harper remarked, putting away his nail file. Light just ignored him this time. Harper scoffed impatiently. "Where the heck is she? I want to get some sleep already."
"I'm right here, you nasty gremlin," scowled Luna, who had returned from her trip. She held something in her hands that made Harper freak out.
"Is that… Mr. Floppy Ears?" Harper asked nervously.
"Yer darn tootin'," Luna replied, hoisting up the stuffed bunny menacingly.
Harper shivered, holding his shaky hand out. "Please… Just put him down," he pleaded. Luna grabbed hold of the stuffed bunny by the neck and body, grimacing devilishly. Harper shrieked and scrambled himself up to his feet. "Luna don't!"
But it was too late. With one swift movement, Luna tore Mr. Floppy Ears' head right off. Stuffing flying out like blood. Harper froze in complete shock, his mouth stuck wide open in horror as Luna simply dropped the remains to the ground. She then skipped her way to the Dock of Shame, enjoying every second of this. Harper fell to his knees as he held onto Mr. Floppy Ears' halves. His whole body shook and his lips quivered before he looked up at the sky and screamed. "Noooooooooooo!!!!"
Joshua sat back in his chair with the biggest smirk imaginable. He looked over to Light and raised his eyebrows. "Karma finally came," he said, causing Light to smile a little.
Chris watched it all with an approving nod. "Okay, this was good," he said before turning towards the dock. "Thanks for that, Luna."
Luna stood inside the Boat of Losers, waving excitedly as the boat departed from the island. "You're welcome, Chrissy Poo," she replied with a giggle. "And now I'll get to be with my sugar soon, woooooooo!" Her wooing eventually faded out as she sailed further and further away.
Harper was still on the ground frantically crying to himself. "You're gonna be okay, Mr. Floppy Ears," he sobbed, collecting some loose stuffing that was around the bunny's 'corpse'. "Mommy's gonna put you back together, I promise. Don't die on me, please!"
Chris rolled his eyes. "Geez, it's just a stuffed animal," he snarled.
"Shut up!" Harper growled, practically losing his mind.
"How about no," Chris deflected, brushing off some imaginary dirt from his shoulder. "Besides, we still have one more thing to do."
"Are you serious?" Robin replied, looking exasperated. "What more could you want? Is someone else gonna get eliminated too?"
Chris shook his head. "Nah, I just figured this was long overdue," he explained. Right then and there, Chef showed up and he had the Bionic Beasts with him. He seemed to ignore Harper crying over his stuffed bunny and instead walked right up to Chris.
"Crazy girl was booted?" Chef asked bluntly.
"Yep," Chris affirmed.
Chef smirked as he adjusted his toque. "Hmmm, well, she had quite the run, that's for sure," he grumbled.
"Oh yeah, she's reality TV gold," Chris agreed, ignoring the fact that the campers were staring right at him.
"Hey, what's the big idea?" Miriam grunted, her arms crossed and her eyes rolled. "Why did Chef bring us here to these losers?"
"Good to see you too, Miriam," Chris replied, taking a step forward. With eyes all on him, he spoke. "Lately, I've noticed some things that I don't quite like. At least for the Beasts."
Van shared looks with Tala before nervously turning towards Chris. "Is one of us gonna get eliminated or something too?" she asked.
Chris shook his head. "Nope, we're just gonna have a good 'ol switcheroo," he explained. "You guys are getting too buddy buddy with each other and I don't like it."
"You better not be doing what I think you're doing," Miriam growled as she looked down at Shane, who seemed quite nervous.
"Oh aren't you so threatening," Chris mocked, rolling his eyes. "Anyways, I'm gonna swap one teammate from the Titans with one teammate from the Beasts. And I figured the best choice of action is to break up the two ships."
"Oh no…" Tala muttered.
"Oh yes," Chris replied with a snicker. "Tala, you are now a Titan."
"What? Come on!" Van pleaded, clasping her hands together.
"This is total BS," Miriam snapped, stamping her foot on the ground.
"Oh dear…" Shane sighed, clutching onto his suit.
Tala looked back at her ex-teammates with the most devastated look on her face. "I can't believe this…" she whimpered.
Van grabbed Tala by the hands. "Baby girl, I'm so sorry," she said with a saddened look in her eyes. "I don't want you to go." She slumped her head down as Miriam stepped forward and placed a hand on the party girl's shoulder.
"Tala," Miriam said soothingly. "You go kill it on the Titans. We'll see you at the merge."
Shane said his goodbyes next. "Everything will be alright," he told her. "Like Miriam said, we'll see you at the merge."
Tala gulped nervously and stared at Van. "Hey… I got this," she assured her. "Don't worry."
Van lifted her head up and smiled. "Yeah, you do," she said before leaning in to give her a kiss.
The kiss was short-lived though as Tala was suddenly dragged away by Chef. "Alright, that's enough," he grumbled, leaving Tala right next to the other Titans. "We gotta keep things moving."
"Thank you, Chef, " Chris nodded. "Now, which Titan will go to the Beasts? Well like I mentioned, I'm breaking up the ships so Colleen, you are now a Beast."
Colleen felt her heart sink as she peered around at her now ex-teammates. "O-O-Okay," she stammered slowly picking herself up. She looked down at Robin with concerned eyes. "Bye…"
Robin stood up and straightened his shirt. "Stay strong," he encouraged. "You know I'll be waiting for you at the merge."
Colleen and him then hugged goodbye. As she held onto him, she looked over towards Light and Joshua. Joshua seemed rather nonchalant but Light clearly had a lot more going on her mind. However, Colleen just frowned at her and shook her head, stepping away and heading over towards Harper while Light pinched the bridge of her nose in an attempt to hide her sadness.
"Well Harper honey," Colleen said, crouching down next to him, who was still mourning his torn stuffed bunny. "I'll see you at the merge, right?"
"Mr. Floppy Ears no…" Harper whined, ignoring Colleen entirely.
Colleen sighed and gently patted him on the back before heading over to her new team. "Hi…" she greeted nervously. Van and Shane both shook her hand but Miriam just glared at her coldly, causing the newbie to sink down a bit. She turned around, hugging herself while hanging her head low.
Chris stood and watched everything with a proud smile. "I am a genius," he boasted to himself. Chef just rolled his eyes.
"Now with all that said and done, you may all head back to your camps," Chris ordered the campers. "Have fun with your new teammates and please, don't be afraid to not get along this time."
With that said, everyone soon left the area, leaving just Chris and Chef. "How long do you think the new teammates will last?" the host asked his partner.
"Guarantee that one of them will be gone by the end of the next episode," Chef answered.
Chris snickered and rubbed his hands deviously. "Ooh, I am so excited to see how this goes," he said before facing the camera. "And I hope you are too. So, how will things fare from here? What will happen between Joshua and Harper's newly found feud? And will Miriam scare away her new teammate? Found out next time on Total Drama Metamorphia!"
I've been teasing it throughout this story but we finally have our DQ elimination and who else would it be besides Luna? To be fair, this definitely was a hard decision as I enjoy writing her so much but all of the other characters still have stories to tell. That being said, this is easily her best episode in my opinion and at least she can have the dignity of saying she was never eliminated legitimately.
All in all, Luna was iconic and hilarious from the start. She became an instant fan-favorite amongst readers and I'm so glad that I was able to write her for this. Thanks to Dunsparce519 for sending her to me. I had a blast working with her and I hope to see her in more stories in the future!
In the meantime, here is where the team stands now after the team swap:
The Bionic Beasts: Miriam, Shane, Van and Colleen
The Twisted Titans: Light, Joshua, Harper, Robin and Tala
Eliminated: Frank, Meghan, Ezra, Wayne, Luna
The hint/name of the next episode:
EPISODE 7: ACADEMICALLY WASTED
With all that established, stay hydrated and I wish you all a very good day :)
