I do not own the Malloys Hatfords or Bensons. I do own the Lasheès. I also own Millie and Cecilia Ernoy, relatives to the Malloys on their mother's side. TW! Implied Child Abuse! (I think I just enjoy giving characters trauma...I think there's something wrong with me..[and these are my fav characters too X.X])
Eddie POV:
"Cecilia!" I exclaim, pulling my cousin into a hug. I quickly look out the door and close it. "What's wrong, what happened?"
"Mom, she-" Cecilia started, then started to break down in more tears. I hugged her even tighter as Beth and Caroline made their way to us.
"What did Aunt Millie do again?" Caroline asked in anger.
Cecilia pointed to her cheek on her face. I went to look at it. It was slightly red and I also noticed Cecilia's hands were bruised.
"She hit you?" I ask in a hushed tone, wary of the Hatfords watching us. I did not need them all up in our case about our family. Cecilia nodded.
"C'mon." Beth said, taking Cecilia's hand. She walked right past the boys giving them a glare that could kill if Beth wanted it to.
As soon as I heard Beth and Cecilia clomping upstairs, a rushed knock was heard on our door. I opened it and immediately slammed it in my aunt's face.
"Go away Aunt Millie!" I scream.
"I just looking for Cecilia!" A voice wavered from behind the door.
"And she's drunk." I mumbled under my breath. "Caroline." I turned to my sister, nodding towards the direction of the Hatfords. "Take them upstairs." Caroline nodded and went over to the Hatfords.
"And get Mom and Dad while you're at it too." I call over to her. Caroline gave me a thumbs up.
I open the door again. I see my aunt barely able to stay balanced holding onto the glass door on the outside of the house. I sigh.
"You've got some explaining to do." I said.
Jake POV:
"Caroline, what's going on?" I ask, annoyed that we're being shoved out of way, again.
"It's none of your business." Caroline snapped back, shoving us into the guest room before slamming the door. We heard Caroline's footsteps enter her parents room and then walk downstairs.
"C'mon." I said, slowly opening the door.
"Hey, they put us up here for a reason. It's not our business." Josh objected.
"First of all, I'm bored. Second of all, aren't you curious?" I say, taking a step out.
"Not a reason and no." Josh said.
"Well you're either in or out!" I say angry, quietly walking downstairs.
"Jake!" I hear Josh hiss behind me, but I didn't listen to him. I soon heard my brothers walking right behind me. We stopped on the landing of the stairs able to hear the Malloys.
"Millie." Mr. Malloy said. "We've been over this. You have to stop. You're a mother!"
"Why?" Eddie asked, her voice full of anger. "How many times until you learn?"
"Eddie, leave this to us." Mrs. Malloy said.
"But-" Eddie said.
"Edith Ann." Mrs. Malloy said sternly.
"Yes Mom." Eddie reluctantly said.
"Listen, I'm sorry. I'm drunk." Eddie's aunt said, her voice wavering. "It won't happen again."
"That's what you said last time!" Caroline shrieked.
"I don't like that we're eavesdropping." Josh said.
"Shut it." I muttered.
"Now, where is my child?" Millie asked.
"No!" Eddie yelled.
"Caroline, go get Beth and Cecilia." Mr. Malloy said.
"But-" Caroline said.
"Now!" He yelled.
We heard Caroline start to run upstairs.
"Go, go, go!" I whisper to my brothers. But we were too late.
"Hey!" Went Caroline's voice. Eddie quickly followed her.
"You were supposed to stay in the guest room!" Eddie yelled at us. Josh shot me a look. I had a bad feeling that I was going to get hit again. Eddie stormed at me, but her father stopped her.
"Go to your room!" He barked. "Both of you! No, all of you!"
Eddie growled and stomped upstairs. Caroline stuck her nose in the air and followed her. We followed them after they went into their rooms.
Mr. Malloy walked right behind us but went into Beth's room.
"Cecilia, your mom is here." We heard.
"No. No, no, no! You have to help me Uncle George, please!" Cecilia cried.
"Dad, no!" Beth said. "We can't let Aunt Millie just keep doing this! It's child abuse!" She whispered this last part, probably because she knew we would be listening or for her cousins sake.
"Cecilia's not ok, is she?" Peter asked.
Beth POV:
Cecilia and I were playing rock paper scissors on my floor when my dad came in. He said Aunt Millie was already here. Cecilia obviously freaked out a pleaded with my dad to let her stay.
"I'm sorry! We have no other choice." My dad said.
"Yes, we do! We have like over a million choices! We could call CPS, call the police, and more!" I cried.
"Beth, please."
I reluctantly took Cecilia's hand. She started to shake.
"I'm so sorry." I mouthed.
Dad led the way downstairs as my hand was losing circulation due to Cecilia's tight grip on it. She still was shaking.
I repetitively told her I'm so sorry as we went downstairs.
When we got there, Aunt Millie was waiting.
"Cecilia," her voice sweet like honey, but it was all an act, "Let's go home, ok baby?"
Cecilia swiftly shook her head.
"No." she said, a tear falling from her eyes.
"Come on," Aunt Millie said, quickly grabbing her hand. I wanted to do something, besides just stand there.
Aunt Millie finally got Cecilia and dragged her to the door.
"No! No! No! Help me please!" Cecilia screamed.
I started to cry myself, and whispered, "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry!"
Cecilia's cries were heard onto the street, until ... you could hear them no more.
"Really dad. She's better off with Aunt Millie?" I say, quickly storming off into my room. I just wanted this day to end.
