Abnormal Basilisks
Basilisks that possesses unique and distinctive traits fall under the abnormal category. Basilisks of these categories were known to possess special abilities and traits that set them aside from the rest of their race. As they are a rare group they made up a smaller portion of the Basilisk population.
Currently there are nine confirmed members of the Abnormal Basilisk category.

Ocean Basilisk
Status: Potentially Extinct
Physiology: The Ocean Basilisk is an aquatic, serpentine beast demon with a primarily cream-colored body. It typically red eyes with long, pinkish antennae above them. Additionally, there are long, hair-like fins above its eyes, which begin thin and thicken towards the tips. These eyebrows extend to almost half of the beast's body length and will be longer on the female than the male. On top of its relatively small head is a straight spike. Running down either side of its neck are three black dots, similar to gills. Its lower body is a pattern of blue and pink, diamond-shaped scales outlined with black. The tail consists of four large, blue fins with pink ovals in their centers. Each of the tail fins overlaps the next slightly, causing it to resemble a fan. The Ocean Basilisk's scales are said to change color depending on their mood.

Behavior: Peaceful
Diet: Insect, Small fish, Aquatic Plants.
In addition to insects, small fish, and aquatic plants, aquatic basilisks have been known to consume other small aquatic animals such as eelektrant, relicanth, and wailords. They may also occasionally eat small mammals and birds that venture too close to the water's edge. However, it's important to note that these are not a significant part of their diet and are only consumed on rare occasions
Unique Abilities: Underwater Breathing, Speed Swimming, Powerful tail, Underwater Vortex Generation, Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Durability, Enhanced Agility, Night Vision
Weaknesses: Dehydration, Heat Exposure, Electricity and Lightning
A basilisk variant that as their name suggests make their home beneath the boiling ocean. Due to their habitat being mainly underwater it is possible that this variant may only be potentially extinct and as such they could possibly be in hiding.
Additionally due to their physiology this variant is quite possibly the largest one among their species being able to dwarf even the Elder Basilisk and the Jaw Basilisk. They are also the only variant known to lack any arms
Storm Basilisk
Status: Potentially Extinct
Physiology: According to the fossils and research of the old records it seems that Storm Basilisks were large reptilian serpentine beasts and were equipped with two membranous wings running down the top half of their body, supported by long spines which are extensions of the rib cage. Their torso is similar to that of other snake creatures, being long and slender, presumably evolved to navigate the treacherous terrain of theBoiling Isleswhen their wings are not in use. Their head is massive and snake-like, and is armed with two fangs protruding from their bottom jaw as well as rows of needle-like teeth

Not much information is currently known about the storm basilisks other than they are a variant that possess wings and are able to fly and possibly generate powerful wind.
Their backgrounds are mysterious and vague although because of their ability to fly they are another variant of basilisks that could possibly be only Potentially extinct.

Spitter Basilisk
Status: Extinct
Physiology: Spitter Basilisks were large reptilian serpentine beasts crossed with pufferfish like traits. They had round, fat bodies mostly dominated by their "head". Their lower bodies greatly resembles a lizard tail similar to Basilisk of the common category. Their arms were short and end in bloated four-fingered hands. Their face consists of a large, jaw-filled mouth with black lips, which are cornered by round, yellow eyes. They also had three green "quills" on their forehead and two tan ones on their chin.
Lifespan: Unknown
Behavior: Peaceful
Diet: Fruits and Vegetables.
Unique Abilities: Acid Spit, Body Inflation, Toxic breath, corrosive breath.
Weaknesses: Cold temperatures, Electricity and Lightning
Spitter Basilisk were known for their ability to shoot out highly concentrated blasts of acid by inflating themselves. They were also one of the most peaceful variants as they never use their powerful acid blasts other than to defend themselves despite their ability being lethal enough to melt the skin off witches and demons. They also had an aversion to absorbing magic.
They are confirmed to have gone extinct as Spitter Basilisk were apparently one of the less talented basilisks when it came to transforming coupled with the fact that they had what could be described as a strong scent that would make others throw up which is believed to be a by product of their acid spit.
It is said that the slime from a spitter basilisk were rather useful as a potion ingredient.
Chameleon Basilisk
Status: Potentially Extinct
Physiology: Unknown
Lifespan: Unknown
Behavior: Unknown
Diet: Unknown
Unique Abilities: Unknown
Weaknesses: Unknown
There is currently not much information known about the Chameleon Basilisk. Due to the lack of complete fossils the only confirmation of the Chameleon Basilisk's existence is through the study of the old records.
The only other confirmed information about Chameleon Basilisks is they had the unique ability to render themselves invisible and were able to see through any illusions.

Hydralisk
Status: Extinct
Physiology: The hydralisk is an odd variant as it seems to bear more resemblance to a dragon than a basilisk and its only because of its ability to consume magic and shapeshift that it can be confirmed to be a basilisk. That and it possess the standard snake like tail as a lower body
The Hydralisk is a three-headed, draconic looking basilisk with six thin, black wings that each end in two points on its back although it doesn't seem to be able to fly despite this. Its body is primarily dark blue, with black fur covering its necks and shoulders. The inner fur surrounding its heads is fuchsia in color, and resembles collars. The Hydralisk's heads have black eyes; the main head additionally has fuchsia pupils and visible pointed teeth, while the secondary head's eyes are simplistic and unable to blink. Its abdomen has two fuchsia stripes and its feet appear atrophied, having no claws or defined soles. Its tail also sports a fuchsia stripe and ends with a black tuft.
Lifespan: Possibly Ageless
Behavior: Hostile and Highly Aggressive.
Diet: Mainly Meat
Unique Abilities: Powerful Healing Factor, fire breath, beastial strength
Weaknesses: Unknown
The Hydralisk is perhaps one of most terrifying variants of the Basilisk race. This fearsome creature is said to possess three heads and it's powerful healing factor allows it to regrow those heads should they be cut off. It is also capable of breathing fire from any of it's three head
It is a violent, destructive creature. It will attack anything that moves, determining it a foe
The Basilisks is highly territorial and will challenge anyone that enters its territory regardless of intent. This is perhaps the only instance of a basilisk being actively malevolent.
It seems the only logical way of slaying this fearsome beast is by ripping out the galdorstone within and crushing it. But that in itself is already a challenge to do so.
It is theorized that because of its highly destructive nature its possible that this basilisk variant is non sapient and was instead animalistic.
While it is never good to speak ill of the dead thank titan this variant is extinct.
Gorgon Basilisk
Status: Extinct
Physiology: Unknown
Lifespan: Unknown
Behavior: Unknown
Diet: Unknown
Unique Abilities: Petrifying Gaze
Weaknesses: Mirrors, its own petrifying gaze
Another Basilisk variant that needs further research. Unfortunately despite further research there is currently not much information regarding the Gorgon Basilisk.
The only information found is that they were said to be able to petrify their targets with their gaze alone.
There are currently no complete fossils recovered belonging to a Gorgon basilisk although there are a few sketches made assuming what they may look like.

Jaw Basilisk
Status: Extinct
Physiology: The Jaw Basilisk is a large serpentine beast demon whose upper body resembles a theropod. It is predominantly brownish red with scaly patterns on its skin and scattered orange highlights on some scales and ridges. The Jaw Basilisk's head is proportionately large with a blunt, ridged snout and powerful jaws. It has black around its eyes and a light gray lower jaw covered by a beard of white, primitive feathers. Several sharp teeth are visible in the lower jaw, while the upper jaw is lined with orange-tipped, tooth-like projections. Over its eyes is a row of five spikes resembling a crown. Around the Jaw Basilisk's neck is a feathery white ruff that extends over its shoulders similar to a cape. Its underbelly is gray with white borders and there are two orange spikes near the tip of its long tail. Its small forelimbs have only two black-clawed digits each, but it has powerful a powerful tail which is covered by plated, armor-like ridges and scales

Behavior: Aggressive but only in self defense
Diet: Mainly Meat and Bones. Carnivore.
Unique Abilities: Beastial Strength, Beastial Durability, Powerful Roar, Strong Jaws, Sharp Teeth, Armored Scales.

The Jaw Basilisk also known as the primal basilisk is a basilisk that existed since the Hecktaceous period. This makes them as old as the Stone Sleepers.
It is possible that this basilisk was one of the first variants to exist.
The Jaw Basilisk was known to be vicious but only in self defense. Its powerful jaws, capable of shredding thick metal plates as easily as paper, made it invincible. Its strength allows it to sleep in the wild entirely unguarded without feeling worried. It is theorized that its original form was completely covered with a feather-like coat. It preys on stone sleepers
Artic Basilisk
Status: Extinct
Physiology: Artic Basilisks are large, blue/grey, serpentine creatures which seems to be crossed with a fish. Their arms are fairly long, with three-fingered hands and a long lizard like tail. They have four shark-like fins and sharp teeth. They have small, squinted eyes and a black stripe around their eyes and face. Behind their eyes are pronounced scales and what appear to be gills though it is unknown if they can swim as Artic Basilisk make their home in cold areas such as the knee. Artic Basilisks can breathe freezing vapor, which is capable of freezing enemies, water, or cooling lava. This vapor is puffed out in small amounts when they speak.

Diet: Mainly fruits and firebee honey
Unique Abilities: Freeze Rays, Freeze Ray Propulsion, Ice Constructs, Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Durability, Enhanced Dexterity, Cold Immunity
Weaknesses: Extreme hot temperatures
Artic Basilisks were said to be a very peaceful variant as they are usually quiet and kind, but can create ice walls or encase enemies in ice when enraged.
This variant is known to be rather unique of the rest of its race as it is the only one known to be capable of withstanding extreme cold climates something that can be lethal to other basilisks however it is weak towards extreme hot temperature and thus avoids venturing near the boiling sea and typically made their homes in the knee.
Unfortunately like most basilisks this one was also rendered extinct as due to their unique physiology they avoided using their transformation and like the spitter basilisk had an aversion to eating magic.
Changeling
Status: Potentially Extinct
Physiology: Because of their half breed physiology the characteristics traits of each changeling varies between individuals and based on their two parents.
Lifespan: Possibly similar to Witches and Demons due to their hybrid physiology
Behavior: Varies
Diet: Omnivore
Unique Abilities: Shapeshifting without the need to absorb magic, Healing Factor, Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Agility
Weaknesses: Cold Climate, Electricity
Are an extremely rare breed of basilisks. They are the result of the union between a basilisk and that of another race, making them half breeds.
Basilisks were capable of interbreeding with other races, and at least a few instance of a basilisk interbreeding with other races has been recorded.
The offspring of a basilisk and another race is a separate, hybrid species known as a Changeling. Changelings seem to inherit traits and power from their Basilisk parent and their other parent at random.
One Changeling(See image source for Changelings) strongly resembles her basilisk father, inherited majority of his abilities and is capable of shape shifting as well as many other feats. Although it appears she is only capable of absorbing magic through physical contact and often requires to get in close proximity to absorb magic from another magical being.
Meanwhile, another Changeling, has inherited almost none of his basilisk parent's abilities, and his only ability as a basilisk is invisibility and magic resistance as he instead inherited the ability to cast magic from his other parent.
Additionally unlike the rest of their kin, Changelings are usually born Bipeds and more often than not still possess a basilisk tail. They also seem to be the only variant that are not born sexless and can also shapeshift without the need to absorb magic first
These traits made Changelings very difficult to pin down as due to their hybrid physiology they can easily be mistaken for another demon or witch. As a result it is unknown if they are truly extinct or are just in hiding.
This make them one of the only Variants to only be potentially extinct.

Changeling- Based on a combination of the skin changers from the hobbit and the skrulls from the mcu
