Some Years Later
It's been many years since his mother was last in the hospital and it was discovered that the bullet contained a disease caused by an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in a person's quirk. The Doctor said that if his mother had come early, she might have stopped the disease from entering her blood system, but at last, it is what it is. Izuku cried himself to sleep that night, the words of the doctor and the sad smile of his mother made his pain worse. His mother was never the same after that day, now cherishing everyday like it was her last day.
Along the line, his mother's quirk began to fail her slowly. Noticeable wrinkles and spots appeared on her skin. Headaches became a common case every time he saw her. She smiled more outside of home, but to Izuku, they were all hollow smiles with no sort of happiness. Bags formed under her eyes, no little to no sleep.
Izuku was so worried for his mother. Hell, who wouldn't be?
Eventually, they're money was drying up. Loans, bills, Tuition stacked on to his mother's already heavy burden and stress. The more he saw his mother, the more the edges of his mouth lowered.
He searched up on the web for jobs available for teens his age and found a company named 'Uraraka's Construction'. He read through the description and found out that they were a group of people with a need of help in minor workload. With that in mind, Izuku thought it wouldn't be so hard to try, right?
Forgetting about it for now, Izuku dressed himself for school, mentally preparing himself for the beating he knew was coming.
Later That Day
A group of kids were laughing at the beaten down boy on the ground, kicking and punching the boy as they found his soft whimpering the best part of beating the boy up. One kid suggested that they should throw him in the giant garage container near the junkyard and lock the door. Another rose up and said that they should take his clothes off and burn them so the quirkless loser could walk home naked.
"What are you guys saying?" A kid with short blonde hair said. "We should totally break all his bones and throw him to the dogs."
"Yeah, that's a great idea!" Another agreed.
A girl with black hair disagreed. "But if we do that, who will we have fun with? Bakugou is a no go."
"Well, no shit we can't do shit to him! His quirk is super strong offensive."
"Speaking of Bakugou, weren't their moms once best friends before Izuku was diagnosed quirkless?"
"Ha, that just proves how useless Deku is!"
"Yeah, I also heard from Bakugou that Deku's dad left his dumbass mother because of his quirkless ass. What a failure a woman!"
Izuku didn't know how it happened, but at first, he was on the ground. next thing he knew, all the kids were on the ground, bruises and cuts all over their bodies. He turned to his surroundings, shock evident on his face. One of the kids who was still conscious turned to Izuku, a hateful look on his face as he spat out blood.
"Fuck you, you quirkless loser…" He then fell face first onto the ground, now unconscious.
Izuku was shocked, he didn't understand what just happened.
"Izuku Midoriya!" A voice yelled out to him.
He turned only to have a hard slap to the face.
"How could you do this to these poor students! I will report you to the principal immediately, and hopefully, you'll get expelled from this school as a sign of karma for what you've done." He said, turning around and walking away, presumably towards the principal to report on Izuku.
Izuku only stood there, still processing what had happened. As soon as his brain finally caught on to what was happening, he broke down crying.
'Why is the world like this? Why was the world so strongly against quirkless people? What did he do to deserve this sort of treatment?'
The Principal's Office
"Izuku Midoriya, I'm sorry to say this, but because of your horrendous record, you'll be expelled from our school and will be transferred to a different school." The principal said, not a shred of remorse in his voice when saying those words to him.
Izuku could only hold back his sobs, having already cried his eyes out too many times for his eyes to continue water out. His inner thoughts began to plague him with ideas his usual self would never think of. Hell, who cares about school? What if he did hurt those kids? It didn't really matter. Images of his mother flashed before his eyes. She's his most precious person in the world. While everyone turned their backs at him, his mother never did. A thought came crawling into his mind. What would his mother think of him for being expelled from school? Would she be disappointed in him? Would she think of him less? Would she leave him as well?
"Are you listening to me!" The principal yelled out, knocking Izuku back into reality. "Good, now get your stuff and get out of my school, you quirkless filth." He whispers beneath his breath.
He nodded slowly and stood up to make his leave.
"Oi, what the hell is going on here!" A familiar voice burst through the doors.
The two turned and noticed the fuming Katsuki Bakugou staring daggers at them, obviously irritated about something.
"Ah, Bakugou! How are you? Are you passing your classes?" The principal happily said, turning a 180 from his previous behavior.
Bakugou didn't buy it and continued to stare daggers into the man. "What's this about the nerd being expelled from school?!"
"Well Izuku today had a terrible fight today and I-"
"STOP WITH THE BULLCRAP!" Katsuki interrupted. "I know damn well the nerd would never fight something, especially with his useless quirkless ass!"
Izuku was stunned.
Was his childhood best friend trying to save him? The same friend who belittled and bullied him since the day his quirk never manifested. The friend who always thought he was better than everyone else simply because he was incredible.
"And besides," Bakugou turned to Izuku, "It's my job to beat his ass whenever I want to."
Or maybe not…
End of School
School ended a few minutes back, but he still felt like shit. Just before Izuku left school, Katsuki Bakugou had told Izuku to commit suicide if he wanted a quirk in his next life. Normally, Izuku would use his mask to seem scared, but Izuku just looked at him emotionlessly. He was already tired with this school's shit, so just the thought of coming back to place next Monday made his stomach turn to the wrong places.
"I AM HERE!"
Izuku turned and noticed a large screen TV with an advertisement of a new All-Might toothbrush, approved by All-Might himself. A lot of students his age stared at the screen in awe, probably because it was another All-Might merch. He would've also been in awe if he wasn't already feeling exhausted by how his day went.
He walked by the crowd of middle school students, preferring to rather go home the fastest way.
All-Might's POV
"Texas Smash!" I yelled out, delivering a powerful blow to the Sludge villain who held a young man in a deadlock. His remains splattered across the entire tunnel, creating a rather disturbing sight. I turn to the unconscious boy and frown at his state. He was a young green haired boy with a weak thin body. If he didn't know any better, All-Might would've thought the boy was already dead, but thankfully he saw his chest move up and down.
"Great, now I don't need to inform a parent on how their child died." All-Might picked up a bottle and quickly filled the bottle with the villain's remains, careful as to not accidentally release him. He saw a notebook and quickly wrote down an autograph. Now comes the hard part…
"Hey kid! You Who! Anybody there?" I said, slapping the young man repeatedly to wake the boy up.
The boy stirred for a moment, but suddenly jumped out of his socks once the boy realized who I was.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" The boy cried out.
I just stood there in my usual pose while mentally sweat dropping at the boy's reaction.
We had some exchanges where All-Might couldn't recall the event. However, time was ticking, and he needed to leave. "Sorry young man, but justice must be served. Farewell." With that, All-Might leapt towards the sky, not noticing a green hair boy wrapping around his leg. Though it was hard to realize soon after when said boy let out a small squeal.
"What the! Hey, what are you doing?! I love my fans, but this too much!" All-Might said while trying to pull Izuku off.
"I can't let go," Izuku said back. "I'll fall."
"Oh, right." Toshinori felt like an idiot once he remembered where they were. Once landing on top of a random building, All-Might turned away from the boy and slowly walked towards the roof railing. "Just knock on the door, there should be a person inside to help you down." He pointed towards the door that led inside the building.
Before All-Might could make his leave, Izuku yelled out his idol saying, "Can a quirkless person like me be a hero!? Can I be just like you?!"
All-Might turned his head to Izuku and smiled.
