NOW WITH THAT OUT THE WAY ONTO THE STORY
"Thanos, fucking Thanos. Of course it had to be him" Francis sighed as he put on his boots before strapping his baton's to his side
Everyone was in the armory of the old Fantastic four spaceship gearing up to put their suits on like they were about to go and fight a war of sorts. Especially Torunn who was already gearing up practicing her slashes and attacks. She had nearly stabbed holes throughout the entire ship attempting to calm her nerves
Clearly it didn't work…..
James had never seen Torunn so amped before and honestly it quite literally scared him
And James wasn't scared of anything
But even more so he looked to find the reactions of his other teammates and friends around the ship seeing how they were dealing with the news and damn near impossible task that they were given
Azari sat blankly on one of the crates within the ship. Staring down at the metal ground below as he touched one of the silver Panther teeth that was around his neck. He was reminiscing about things. Probably invisong himself somewhere peaceful to attempt to keep himself in a calm state of mind
With his jacket unzipped James walked over to Azari and looked down at his crossed legged position before smirking
"Mind if i sit"
Azari didn't look up at James. He just continued to hold the necklace in place before grinning back
"By all means"
James took that as it was sitting down next to his brother on the crate
James took in his facial expression as he rested himself on his knee
He didn't want to talk about the clear elephant within the room because well…..he just didn't want to talk about it. So he decided to switch the subject
"I heard you and Torunn found Wakanda" James began in a soft tone
"She also told me Ultron had found it too….Azari im sorry"
Intaking his apology Azari had only snickered lightly as he still continued to clutch his necklace
"Yeah…..it was rough…after the team's fight. I was in this weird place. So I went to find Wakanda…..found it. And came back with nothing because that was all that was left. Nothing. Nothing at all"
"Well it looks like you came out with something" James exclaimed as he pointed to Azari's newfound necklace
"Oh yeah, this" he noted touching his necklace softly
"Okoye, gave it to me. Thanks by the way. For allowing her to stay in the Helicarrier. I couldn't leave her in Wakanda"
James just smiled and nodded his head. He understood completely. Azari's relationship with Okoye frankly reminded him of his relationship with his Aunt Yelena. And just James would he'd protect her by any means necessary
"Ok the other note, Let's talk about this new gift of yours. Controlling the elements"
Azari snickered with a laugh as James continued to exaggerate him
"What's that about ?"
Remaining quiet, Azari stuck out his hand gracefully. A small Panther that was lit on fire with a bright inferno emerged. The small panther began to lightly float around his hand and all James could think about when he saw it was just how beautiful it was
The flame was so small yet so majestic. The way the fire cracked and mixed with its reddish orange flames gave James a warm feeling within his stomach
"Whoa. Azari's that's…..that's amazing"
"Yeah" Azari said before closing his hand extinguishing the flame
"I can't do too much but I'm learning. That's what matters right"
"Of course it does" James said before patting Azari's back
There was without a doubt something missing with Azari. He was more quiet. More shaken. He couldn't just pin it on him though. Everyone seemed to be that way with Torunn more amped than usual. Pym obviously trying to distract himself and Francis who wasn't as snarky as usual Azari was quiet and soft spoken ever since Latveria
James figured he should leave it alone and let him rest and prepare for what's about to come as he got up from the crate
"Hey James" Azari said making him turn back
"yeah ?"
"Are you afraid to die ?"
The question had drained any type of sluggishness from James as it was so blatant and unexpected that it even brought a shiver down James's spine
But then again he didn't refrain from giving his honest answer either
"No" he said with no hesitation
His answer only brought a small grin to Azari's face before the two had waved each other off letting James explore the rest of the ship
Next on his approach was Torunn who was slashing her sword with force and skill
Doing a twirl before down slashing, Torunn had brought the weapon up and immediately aimed it towards an arriving James who just stuck his neck out
"Someone seems jumpy, what's wrong didn't get enough sleep" James joked but Torunn didn't seem to find in amusing as she just brought her sword down and groaned before getting into her hanging right stance
"Not funny James"
James definitely felt the distance
"Damn, I'm sorry. Torunn, I'm just trying to lighten the mood up that's all"
"Yeah well don't !" Torunn had immediately snapped. Her new found anger found James at a new distrust as this new emotion from Torunn had definitely caught him off guard
"This is Thanos James, the mad titan himself. The same man who posed a very threat to our Parents"
Torunn had sighed before burrowing her eyebrows and spinning her sword within her hand before going into a short sword stance
"He's also the same man who has taken over multiple worlds and has killed countless people so sorry If I seem a little jumpy" Torunn said in a deep tone before slashing again
James could tell she was counter focused. That she was so obsessed that this was Thanos here that she missed the reason why they were doing this in the first place
"Alright Torunn I get it, Thanos is a big deal here. I just want to make sure your heads are in the right spot. Were not here to immediately pick a fight with Thanos, we just want the gauntlet"
"And what James, you think he's willingly gonna give it to us" Torunn said before sarcastically blowing her lips in a harsh laugh
James just groaned
"No but-"
"But what James ! huh ?" Torunn snapped again but this time fully turned to the red head boy
Her sudden explosion caught wind of everyone else as now they were involved into the conversation that Jame originally wanted to keep private
"I think you forget James, all you guys are mortals" Torunn growled
A low striking feeling hit all the boys deep in their guts as never once has Torunn referred to them as Mortals. It stung
"This isn't Red Skull, Or Hydra, or by Odin even Valeria and Ultron. But Thee Thanos. The Mad Titan himself. With I may remind thee, with the Infinity Stones"
Pym, Francis and Azari's face just stuck more dull than before only running the moment
"And if we go in there like it's nothing. You all get sent to Valhalla with my Father and Mother" Torunn spoke. Her heart broke to even think of the thought trying her best to avoid looking at Francis but she did as she huffed her voice
"And that's on me. So James I wish you would stop trying to fend off from the news and start looking at it head on"
"We need Captain America, not James Rogers"
The finally words only struck more into James as he just clenched his fist and tightened his jaw
"Sorry to tell you Torunn, but there two in the same" James growled back almost a hint of intimidation in his voice but Torunn only snickered as the lights when green signaling there arrival up ahead
Strapping her sword to her back Torunn spoke
"Then I guess the weight of the world is on me" she said with final words before making her leave past James
The red head only kept a serious glare on his face, not making him turn back and watch her. But he needed to. As up ahead in the deep cast of space stood a singular ship in the dead deep of space showing the kids exactly where they were

The room had spelt like piss and sweet booze
It made Valeria's nose scrunch by the smell as she just wiped her metal hands in front of her face. She had looked over to Ian and was surprised to find his unbothered facial expression
"How are you not affected by this ?" Valeria asked as truly the stench hit here right as they came through the portal
With a shrug of his shoulders Ian had ignored the smell completely
"The real question is where is that coming from ?" Ian spoke but when the sound of a battle clattered to the ground the couple had found there answer
Immediately when they arrived Ian and Valeria had noticed just how dark the castle was. They heard stories on how vibrant and beautiful Asgard truly was. How amazing it's features were and how bright and blue the sky truly could be
But now it was nothing but bleak and miserable as all the Castle lights were off plunging it into pure darkness almost as if no one was home
The clattering and clicking sound only grew louder before there was a loud BANG added to it
That time Valeria and Ian only slightly jumped as their paced picked up to the grand door to slightly open it
Peeking inside before slowly emerging in, Ian and Valeria walked through another dark room with the dark light outside barely peeking in. Bottles and wooden Beer Mugs pooled everywhere along with some sort of strange liquid's on the floor and Ian only looked in disgust as he turned to his girlfriend
"You really sure we need this guy"
"Yes, now come on. Help me find him"
With a groaning sigh Valeria had went one way heading towards a table full of empty Beer Mugs and fallen drinks only applying the smell she was dealt with before making her nose cringe while Ian had headed towards what seemed to be a beer room
The room had dozens of wooden barrels and crates along with empty glasses that were either smudged or broken as the crates and barrels also had holes in them. There were puddles on the floor and bending down to examine them himself Ian touched the puddle in his gloves hand before rubbing his fingers and smelling it not observing the shadow figure that appeared behind him with flickering lighting eyes
Checking the table Valeria moved some of the glasses out of the way before going slightly wide eyed when she came in contacts with Mjolnir being laid carelessly on the table
Valeria couldn't possibly believe this would be left lying around anywhere especially not by Thor's son himself
Her theory was only proven more when the Hammer started to shake and rubble on the table making her step back a little in a halt before a loud crash came in from the side
CRASH
Immediately the Hammer flew past her and in came Ian being launched into the room and being rolled to her
Letting out a weak groan Valeria helped her boyfriend up as he just groaned saying
"Well….found him"
emitted from the rubble and destruction of the previous hole in the wall out came a fairly bulker figure with a hazed and lazy expression with the enchanted hammer of Thor in his hands
Magni, Son of Thor and Enchantress. And by the looks of it. The young Asgardian has seen better days. His once blonde and shiny short hair was now a dirty yellow. As stubble rippled from his face. His once energetic and ecstatic expression was replaced with a tired and defeated one and even now Ian could tell his once peak muscles physic was a good potion of bulking fat and heavy weight
Emerging from the broken room Magni let out drunken sigh as he flipped the hammer in his hand
"You guys seriously picked thee wrong time to mess with me" the thunder god stated before throwing his hammer with spite and rage
Lighting crackled from the mystic hammer and Ian had only ducked his head trying to dodge it not knowing Valeria already had it covered
With her hang simply raised up she stopped the hammer mid way keeping it resting in the air leaving Magni more than confused as he just gave a drunken what expression
"Magni Thorson, I promise you we come in no harm. The opposite actually. We're here to grant you something you are clearly striving for deeply"
Again Magni gave a confused look making Valeria roll her eyes as she knew she had to be specific
"We can help you get revenge on the people who killed your mother"
Immediately that woke up Magni's spark making Valeria smirk as his hand raised back out brining Mjolnir back to him
Walking towards the duo immediately Ian and Valeira got a whiff of his drunken breath and tried to ignore it as Ian just waved his hand this time
"You can help me kill my mewling sister ?"
Valeria smirked once more
"Even better, we can help you get your mother back"
With that Magni's eyes grew wide showing Ian and Valeria he was indeed on board
