Four armored trucks were racing towards city hall filled with a bunch of anxious but ready mammals. This included a nervous Nick Wilde who was attempting to tell jokes to ease the tension. "So guys…what do you call a three humped camel?"

Nick gave a nervous chuckle as the entire cab of tactical and heavily armed agents pivoted their heads to look at him. Except for Judy and James of course who had their face in their paw and pinching their snout respectively. Hunter who was seated next to James was the only mammal in the room smiling as he leaned forward and asked, "I don't know, what do you call them?"

The entire vehicle let out a collective groan except for Nick who gave Hunter a smile and exclaimed "pregnant!"

Hunter proceeded to let out a barking laugh and Nick joined in with a laugh of his own. James shook his head at that and muttered, "I can't believe I'm related to him sometimes."

Judy laughed at that and replied, "I don't know, you can be just as corny sometimes."

James' ears splayed to the side and he pointed a finger at her saying in a mock offended tone, "you take that back!"

Judy crossed her arms and coyly replied, "I won't take back what's true."

James snorted at that and then chuckled before saying, "fine fine." Before turning to Hunter and Nick. "Alright you two cut the laughing we need to get serious here for a moment."

Hunter's laughing died instantly and he wiped an eye with a claw while saying, "got it sir."

Nick however took a few seconds, holding up a finger as he got his laughter under control. "Alright, okay. Sorry. Go ahead James."

James gave a single nod and a "thank you" before speaking in a commanding voice and keying his mic. "Alright! So we are about ten minutes out from City Hall. Right about now a fake bomb threat call from a ZBI representative is being made to the ZPD! I know this is a dirty trick but this is going to be the best way to clear the crowd and clear it fast outside of City Hall! This will get the ZPD to set up a perimeter so we will have backup if or when the remaining two shooters open fire! The perimeter will be set 100 meters back! Our available space to park and move up to city hall is roughly 30! So it will be a 30 meter dash for team 1! Team 2 you will be able to pull up directly to the back entrance, make sure your back door faces city hall! Team 3 you got ten meter dashes at both entrances!

Now City Hall should be mostly empty due to the state of the city! Inside should be Bellwether, her security detail, receptionists, the interim assistant mayor, and a cleaning crew! That's it! Anyone else there isn't supposed to be so we're going to assume they're there to party! With that in mind every mammal present within city hall will be detained for our safety! Any questions!?"

Spotters, the female cheetah, raised her right paw and said, "sir how probable do you think the shooters are going to hit the crowd?"

James sighed and said, "I'm 98% certain one or both shooters will open fire on us and the crowd as we approach city hall. That's why I assigned mammals to carry net guns. With that in mind mammals with net guns are to explicitly stay behind larger teammates or shield bearers because you will be targeted! Coyo and Hunter! You two will be sporting your long guns! You see those shooters, you have my permission to take them out with lethal force! Post up and start scanning the second your boots hit the ground. Everyone's eyes are to be on a swivel! You see a scope glint, you call it out on the radios so Coyo or Hunter can eliminate the threat! Also make sure you watch the crowd there's the potential additional shooters will be mixed in, not armed with Nighthowlers but lethals or tranqs! This mostly applies to Team 1! But that doesn't mean teams 2 and 3 will not encounter shooters or other obstacles! With that in mind teams 2 and 3 pick your two best marksmammals to post up with long guns!"

Officer Fangmeyer came over the channel asking, "sir if mammals open fire in the crowds what do we do?"

James thought about it for a moment and replied, "there's not much we can do. Shields will pivot to the rear to protect us and we will use whatever cover we can, which isn't much! No one is to return fire for obvious reasons and we will have to count on the regs to take care of them! Our goal is to get inside and stop this thing! I know I am asking a lot! I am asking you to not go to the aid of citizens but right now you are an extension of FETRU, and FETRUs job is to stop the threat! Count on your fellow brothers and sisters in blue to do their job and keep moving forward! We arrest Bellwether and this is over! Am I clear!?"

One by one every mammal listening responded "clear!"

"Good! We're five mikes out now! Focus up! Say a prayer! And get ready!"

With that James released his mic and let out a sigh. He then looked to Nick and Judy and said, "I hope you two are really ready for this. If you're not, I need you to tell me now and you two will stay right here. This is going to be chaotic, the odds are high we are going to be shot at, mammals will go savage, and mammals may die. I need to know you two can handle this. I should have asked you two back at headquarters but I wanted reality to set in. Can you handle this?"

Judy and Nick shared a glance before Judy looked at James and replied, "I know I'm ready. This is my career, I signed up for days like this when I swore my oath. I'll be right behind you all the way."

Both James and Judy then looked to Nick who shrugged and said, "I'm following Carrots here so she goes, I go. I mean at least it's not Tundratown."

*four minutes later*

Jameson stood from his seat and keyed his mic. "One minute out! Everyone check each other! Make sure not a scrap of fur is showing! If you see fur, fix it!"

Hearing this Nick and Judy stood, Nick pulling up the hood from the blue jacket he was given. He then pulled down the blue full ski mask and pulled down a set of goggles afterward. This ensemble he had picked out himself having worn a similar set up back as his days as Red Rouge, so he knew not a strand of fur would be visible.

Nick looked over at Judy who was busy putting on gloves and shook his head. "Carrots the ski mask won't really help you if it isn't pulled down all the way."

Like him Judy was wearing a full ski mask and goggle combo, but with an additional tactical helmet and sans hooded jacket. Her ski mask wasn't pulled down all the way in the back leaving the back of her neck exposed. Judy swiveled to face Nick while feeling the front of the mask. "What do you mean? Feels like it's right."

Nick chuckled and replied, "turn around, the back of your neck is exposed."

Judy let out an "oh" and pivoted back to face the opposite direction. Nick proceeded to tug the ski mask down the rest of the way and said, "there, not a speck of gray fur visible."

"You sure?" Judy replied in an anxious tone.

"Well I'll double check for you." Nick replied and then proceeded to examine Judy closely. He started at her ears and worked his way down making sure she was fully covered. As a prey mammal it was highly unlikely she would be targeted by Nighthowlers, but better safe than sorry. Nick worked his way down her body and paused once he reached her tail, staring at that area it a little longer than necessary.

He was snapped out of it when Jameson yelled out right next to his ear "30 seconds!"

Nick shook his head and looked over his shoulder at his older brother who was grinning at him before lowering his ballistic mask. Nick scolded himself internally and then looked back at Judy and quickly finished oncing her over, saying afterwards, "You're good Carrots."

Judy turned to face him and replied, "thanks Slick." She then after a pause asked, "Nick, are you sure you want to do this? You don't have to put on a brave face just for my sake."

"Carrots I want to see this through to the end. I decided I want to join the ZPD and be your partner and someone's gotta watch your back. Am I nervous about this? Heck yeah, but I'm not backing out." Nick quickly replied.

"10 seconds! Face the doors!"

Nick turned to face the doors and took a deep breath. "When this is over I'm going to see mom I think."

Nick and Judy felt the armored truck come to a halt and the two mammals at the doors immediately swung them open. "Go! go! Go!"

Everyone rushed out of the truck FETRU having their guns up as they exited. Shield mammals quickly took the front and one took the rear as the team fell into place and began running towards city hall. Jameson keyed his mic once they were moving. "Team one is on the ground!"

"Team two is on the ground!"

"Team three is on the ground!"

Nick took a moment as they moved forward to look behind him. Sure enough 70 meters away was a very large police barricade with at least twenty ZPD mammals in riot gear that he could see posted in front of it. Behind the barricade was a very large crowd, including media, and split down the middle prey on the left and predators on the right. It looked like the protests were still going on in some parts but mostly the mammals present seemed to be fixated on what was going on across the barricade. I.e the armed FETRU team sprinting towards city hall.

The team got maybe 10 feet before chaos ensued. Gunfire proceeded to sound in the distance and everyone's radios balanced "Team two is under fire! Team two is under fire! Multiple shooters with lethals!"

"Team three has been engaged at both entrances!"

Nick then felt something hit the back of his head, rocking his head forward and causing him to trip. "Ow!" Nick yelled as he was hauled to his feet by one of the FETRU mammals who cried out "Nighthowlers! Nighthowlers! Shooter from the south!"

*Jesse*

Jesse was set up in the fifth story of a construction project about 50 meters behind the police barricade. It left him an unobstructed view of the entire stretch in front of city hall. The instructions given to him were clear, when SWAT or FETRU showed up he was to target them shooting as many as he could. He especially was to target the ZBI pelt if they were there.

So when FETRU pulled up and piled out he immediately began scanning for the fox. He found three of them. One really big one that stayed by their truck with a sniper rifle, and two moving towards city hall. "Well…I'll just shoot all three."

Jesse then put his scope on the one not carrying a gun, "not carrying a gun? He's probably the one in charge."

Jesse then squeezed the trigger sending a pellet right into the back of the fox's head. He watched the fox trip and fall to the ground and immediately moved his scope to the second fox and fired off another pellet. This one however didn't hit its mark as a massive rhino with a giant shield stepped in front of the fox, the pellet slamming into the shield and bursting.

*Jameson*

After Nick was hauled to his feet by Whiskerton, Jameson pivoted to the south gun up and scanning for the shooter. He and several others caught a scope glint on the fifth floor of a building under construction. "Shooter! Fifth floor!" He called out and Horncase stepped in front of him and a millisecond later he heard the impact of a pellet hitting Horncase's shield. "Good timing Horncase! light that son of a gun up!"

He then keyed his mic. "Hunter! 5th story south! Construction! West side!"

Jameson then peaked around the shield and aimed his ACOG sight at where the shot came from and began squeezing off rounds. Whiskerton, Fangsworth, Tigre, and Gatto also opened fired dumping their mags into the 5th story west side as they moved backwards, alternating cover as they did.

Hunter quickly came over the mic, "I don't got a shot! I don't got a shot! I'm pushing to the building now! Grabbing ZPD to assist me!"

At this point the crowd was panicking but hadn't disbursed yet, not feeling like they were in inherent danger yet, and unsure what was going on. That promptly changed when several mammals began opening fire into the crowd and several others opened fired on the FETRU team and ZPD officers. Shortly after that predators in the crowd doubled over before going savage along with a couple ZPD mammals. This caused the crowd to panic and utter chaos ensued as the ZPD rushed forward to try and rein in the chaos and stop the attackers.

Jameson pivoted to face back north after watching mammals in the crowd go savage calling out over the comms "shooter front! Shooter front! Coyo find them now!"

"I'm scanning now, standby!"

*Woolter*

Woolter was set up on the roof of the lower section of city hall. His instructions was to dart as many predators in the gathered crowd as possible and ZPD predators. Preferably ones closest to prey mammals so damage was maximized.

So once FETRU showed up Woolter set up and took aim squeezing off rounds darting three ZPD officers, a polar bear, a grizzly bear, and a cheetah. He also darted four predators in the crowd, a lion, a tiger, a hyena, and a Jaguar. Woolter picked the largest predators he could see so a hit was guaranteed and damage maximized.

As he opened fire on the crowd he also watched as mammals from the movement open fire on the predators in the crowd causing him to smile. "That's right. Die you filthy predators die!"

Woolter would have kept on darting predators but he only had two pellets left, and he wanted to slow FETRU. Especially because they were currently shooting at his brother. Moving his scope to the FETRU vehicle he saw a coyote aiming a sniper rifle right at him. "Oh shi..!" Woolter's thought was promptly interrupted by a 308. sniper round going through his scope, into his skull, and straight out killing him instantly.

*Agent Hunter*

After Hunter realized he wouldn't be able to get a shot on the south shooter he had taken off in a dead sprint towards the building. He reached the police barricade quickly and ran up to two timber wolf ZPD officers. "You two on me! We got a shooter on the west side 5th floor of that construction!"

The two officers didn't hesitate, one reaching into their cruiser and grabbing their long gun before both took off with Hunter. After about 20 meters the one with the long gun asked, "sir I don't hear any sniper shots so I'm confused."

Hunter looked over his shoulder and replied, "they're using a C02 rifle firing toxic pellets! These toxic pellets are what's causing predators to go savage!"

Both officer's eyes widened and the second officer said, "sir are you serious!?"

"Dead serious! With that in mind you see that shooter you don't announce yourself! you don't ask them to drop their weapon! You are to drop them with lethal force immediately! You are not to risk them hitting you with the toxin! Am I clear!?"

The two officers shared a look before both of them responded "clear sir!"

The three mammals entered the construction and rushed up the stairs reaching the 5th in under a minute. During their climb they started hearing gunshots and the screams causing the officers to tense up. "Focus up you two. You're in the middle of a domestic terrorist attack. Once we dispatch this shooter you two can return to the line and help but right now this is priority one, clear?"

Both officers took in a deep breath and replied "clear" and they entered the fifth floor guns up. They immediately began moving towards the west side of the building clearing as they went. Once they got to what looked like a closet mid way on the west side a ram exited the room with a bloody left arm and holding some sort of co2 pistol in their right hoof.

The ram turned and noticed them, their eyes widening and Hunter and the two officers didn't hesitate opening fire on the ram. Hunter fired 4 shots from his 1911, the long gun officer fired three shots, and the second officer fired five shots, killing the ram.

Hunter moved up and kicked the pistol away, keying his mic. "Shooter one down! Shooter one down!"

*Jameson*

"Shooter one down! Shooter one down!"

"Shooter two is down! Shooter two is down!"

Hearing that both shooters were down caused James to let out a sigh of relief. "Alright, snipers are down, let's move! Shields shift to the rear! keep us covered! There's enough cover if we take shots from the front! Double time it mammals!"

All the shield bearers promptly did as they were told and shifted to the rear, bullets immediately starting to ping off of their shields. FETRU quickly rose up moving from cover to cover as they made their way towards the front entrance. Jameson was actually surprised when they took no shots from the front or the sides.

Reaching the front door Jameson wasn't surprised to find the doors were locked. Letting out a sigh he simply yelled out "knock!"

This was the signal for their breacher Horncase to do his thing. Horncase nodded and FETRU split in half, Jameson grabbing Nick and Judy. "You two might wanna move."

Lane created Horncase gave a brief charge before slamming into the entrance of City Hall shattering the bulletproof glass and frame sending it crashing to the ground in pieces. Horncase let out a grunt and shook some pieces off of him and said, "doors open."

Nick took in the rhino sized hole in the front and said, "no kidding." Before standing with Judy and falling back into place with the team.

Jameson smirked at Nick's remark and said to his team, "slow and steady move in! Let's go arrest us another mayor!"
