Chapter 5
Part one
Gaurdian opened his eyes to a bright light above him as he lay on the DEO's diagnostic table developed by L-CORP. He heard Winn's voice.
"You're awake. Lena is on her way."
The bright light began to dim in James' eyes.
"NO, NO, NO, NO, NO you need to stay awake man. I almost lost you a minute ago. You need to fight, Alright." Winn who was not a doctor and been completely relying on the Diagnostics table to try and stabilize his friend. His tablet told showed James from an X-ray view and depicted a dozen fractures and massive bleeding.
Dimer still James' vision was subdued by darkness.
"I Gut her!" This time it was Berry's voice.
Then Lena. "Ow, my god James what the hell happened?"
"Lena.." James managed the words and forced his eyes to open. He couldn't move. His pain was dulled from what He could tell were really good drugs. He knew he took a beating but... this bad.
"I'm here." He heard her say sweetly. Her soft hands ran over his bare scalp caressingly.
Lena was incredibly pissed off but knew she had to set it aside. Instead. she let in the guilt. The guilt of what she was about to do.
"What the Hell happened!" she said turning her head from James to Glar daggers into the eyes of Winn and Berry.
Winn first looked like a deer in headlights with mouth agape. He turned for aid from Berry who with a hand gesture toward James said. "Laughing Superman."
With that being enuff of an answer for her. She knew he would rush in to help the DEO.
"Blurr or Flash, whatever your name is." She started.
"Im Berry."
"Whatever." She reached around her neck and unclipped a necklace. The intricate four-directional key was kept safe beneath her blouse.
"Take this," She said reaching it out to Berry who took it holding eye contact with Lena. "I need you to go get something for me. I can save his life."
She turned back to James and in a hushed voice, whispered in his ear. "I'm sorry James. You haven't left me a choice and I won't let you die."
***So here is my dilemma. I have a lot going on here. General Yang is planning to Kryptonite nuke the fortress of solitude. Alex is with him along with most of the DEO. Alex also still needs to learn about the death of J'aun. Even though of making it sow, she's already told and she then in return tells Clark. Laughing Superman is maybe vulnerable for a short time after losing his um...large lunch. The real Superman from Universe 38 is on his way back from Argo and Lena is definitely about to give guardian superpowers with a catch.
Back story. Laughing Superman has been on a desert version of Earth. He wiped out all life there. Batman, before fleeing to the Moon, Eradiated the planet's weather system with kryptonite. Leaving an insane Laughing Superman to go without food for 20 years. (It's my story I can do what I want ;) Welcome any thoughts) ***
