"BROTHER! Oh my god! Get him to the nurses office! Hurry!" I open my eyes to see Uranus jumped into the thicket of trees outside the gates as I am rushed to the nurses ward. Me and Kuwajiri both. My sleeves on my turtleneck are torn off as the nurse grabs some bandages and some disinfectant. It hurts, but I work through pain. I grit and bare it.
Kuwajiri is still passed out. Prolly will be for a while. After an hour, they bring my sister and Haruka in.
"Oh my God, brother. Oh you're alright. I was so scared." Michiru hugs me tightly.
"Me too sis. Thanks for getting me here in time. God that disinfectant hurts like hell." I act complaining.
"Don't you dare do that again. I thought I lost you." Michiru hugs me tighter.
"Why didn't you run?" I hear Harukas voice deep and angry.
"Huh?"
"Why. The hell. Didn't. You. Run?" She looks down at me, like a disappointed and yet angry father.
"I couldn't leave him there to get more hurt. You heard him scream."
"It was Kuwajiri."
"So what? If it was my sister, I still had to do it. I just-" I stop myself. To remind myself. I am not Batman right now. I am Sun. Stay in character.
"I just didn't feel right leaving him there. It wouldn't have felt right to me. I thought it was distracted by whoever that lady in the outfit was. I thought like in the movies it might work."
Haruka stares at me for a moment before sighing and removing the rage in her eyes and demeanor.
"Please don't do that again. If we had lost you, it would have been devastating for us."
"R-Really? I mean I know Michiru would but... you too?" I get her to grin and tussle my hair.
"Of course you idiot. You have grown on me. You may not be too athletic, but you got heart."
"Haruka's right, you were very brave. But leave it to the professionals."
"Professionals? The cops came to get that weirdo?"
I see Haruka give a 'Oh crap' look at Michiru to which Michiru says with a sweat drop behind her head.
"Oh! Yeeeah! They came right as soon as they heard you scream and threw the weirdo into their police car. That's what I meant." She says with a nervous laugh. Haruka taking a sigh of relief.
"Well good. Cuz now my arms are stuck like this and I can't put them down!" I fake whine as I surprisingly can't put them down before the gauze makes them go back up. Damn gravity. Both Haruka and Michiru laugh.
I am sent home and told I can't do school work until I recover which will be a week until the wounds heal and the gauze can be removed. I begrudgingly thank them and bow. My arms still sticking out the side as Haruka and Michiru drive me home.
"Not exactly how I thought my first day at school to go."
"Well normally we don't have psychos at school." Michiru claps back.
"That's fair. But I hope I don't have to keep up with the homework. I was doing pretty good today."
"PE was a bit lack luster. Not that I'm complaining." Haruka says as I narrow my eyes.
"Imma still think it." I hear them both chuckle.
"So uh... since we have the rest of the school day off, y'all wanna... watch a movie or something."
"As much as I would love to brother, you need to rest up. You just got attacked."
"I mean yeah but... it gets lonely at times, ya know? Remember when we would reenact scenes from our favorite movies as kids?"
"Y'all did that? Huh, thats a cute thought."
"Those were simpler days." I can hear the somberness in her voice. And she was right. I miss those days. Being a kid, before mom passed. Hanging around with my sister. Or at least when I could when she wasn't at violin recitals.
"Me and Michi were two peas in a pod. We did a lot of things before fath-" I stop myself and I see Michirus turn to face me with a sad but yet soft smile. She grabs my elevated hand. Squeezing it softly.
"He can't hurt you anymore, Sunny."
"I know I just... he was such a bastard. He made it so damn hard to come see you. And if I ever did he would hit me for being a 'distraction'... asshat."
"You only ever kept me pushing harder."
"Wish dad would have listened to ya. He looked at you as the golden child." Michiru frowns, thinking I resent her. "And I'm glad he did." She looks at me with a confused look. Even Haruka a bit with the mirror.
"Each time you did something bad. And if dad found out, I made sure to try and take the blame. Like if you stayed out late to hang out with friends, I encouraged it. Or if you broke something valuable, I told him I broke it." She looked down at her side and realized that she was never berated for those things.
"You protected me."
"I was already the worst thing in his eyes. The one thing I wanted to do, was to make sure he didn't put you in that spot with me."
"I wouldn't have cared, Brother. I would have happily taken a few blows for you."
"I didn't want that bastard to lay a finger on you." As Haruka gets to a stop, michiru unbuckles her seatbelt and gets into the back of the car to sit and lean next to me. It makes me smile.
"You're the best little brother you know that?"
"I learned from the best big sis." We chuckle to that as they get me home. I remind them my butler is here as they ring the doorbell since I really couldn't.
"Ah master Sun good to- MASTER SUN?!"
"Hey Alfie..."
"Don't 'Hey Alfie' me! Look at your arms oh this is dreadful. Come inside and let's get him to bed. I shall put on some soup for him."
"She seems nice." I nod to harukas words.
"Surprisingly she's very... attentive to me. It's nice to have people around. Most of the 10 years I was gone, I was lonely a lot. Like I said, I'm trying to break out of my hermit shell."
"Well keep working on it. I'm proud either way, my little hero."
"I'm two inches taller than you sis, don't you be acting like you're not the shortest."
"No, I'm the same size."
"High heels don't count, Michi." I see michiru puff her cheeks playfully as I try to pull her into a hug but she does it for me thankfully.
"I have brought you some tomato soup, master sun. Nicely seasoned as well."
"Thank you Alfie," Haruka then grabs the spoon. "Oh, Haruka you don't need to-"
"Nonsense. Happy to feed the little hero."
"Oh God. Arms heal fast. Please." I plead playfully as I take in the soup and damn... that has got to be the best tomato soup I've had since... mother.
"Hero? Master Sun was?" Alfie had a worried look, thinking they know I am Batman.
"He fought a psycho at school that was attacking a classmate."
"I see. Well, Master Sun. That was quite brave of you. Inspiring. Thinking about becoming a crime fighter." I look at her for a moment, but it seems she's trying to get out the idea of me wanting to be. Helping my case.
"Hah... yeah. I'd be so great with my spread out arms. The hell would I call myself, Owl-man?" I see my sister and Haruka chuckle as I am fed more soup.
"You go Hoot before you jump into battle." Harukas joke makes Michiru giggle some more.
"Yeah, I just have inflatable owl claws for my boots." Michiru snorts again, which makes her gasp.
"So that was you." Harukas comment makes Michiru makes her blush and look away.
"She used to a lot when we were kids cuz I had so many crappy puns. It was the bes-" I feel Michirus index finger against my lips and the other on Harukas.
"I don't like being bullied you two."
"Sorry sis."
"That's better."
"So you guys doing anything tomorrow? Maybe we could hang out?"
"Sadly we can't. We have to go to the aquarium tomorrow with our friend Usagi. To discuss some things." I finish the soup. Michiru and even Haruka give me a hug before they leave. As they do, I look to Alfie.
"I need you to cut the gauze off."
"Master Sun you can't possibly be serious with going out tonight with those injuries."
"Batman, has no limits."
"Well you do, sir."
"Can't afford to know them." I hand her the scissors to cut them. She grabs them.
"And what's gonna happen, when you find out?" She says as she snips off the gauze as I get the sutures.
"You'll get to say 'I told you so.'" I get some painkillers and get ready for tonight. I don't hear the words 'I hope I never have to.'
I suit up as I ride out to the city. Hoping to catch a glimpse on the senshi. I quickly get to one of the parks I remember us mentioning on as I get there last. But I don't see Uranus or Neptune.
"Everyone except the two are here, I assume this is for the training for Chibi moon." I see Sailor moon walk up with her daughter.
"Yes, while she's been argumentative about the whole thing. She's ultimately agreed."
"Didn't think you were gonna make a debate about it with her considering you are her legal guardian. Technically. Also, no pun intended." I hear a few snickers from the others.
"Regardless, we are gonna be watching, since it's still up in the air to trust you. As well as to make sure you are not being too harsh on her."
"I understand. Well, Chibi moon. Are you ready to begin?"
