Ch 9
Resistance base, Korilev
The Resistance had come up with a plan to get more allies into the fight and bring down the First Order for good.
Everyone was sitting near a holotable that had a massive hologram of the First Order Capitol.
Commander Poe Dameron was debriefing everyone.
"As you know, the First Order has silenced communication between all neighborhing systems. The source of the blockade is a transmission jammer deep in the First Order Capitol on Coruscant, here. So far, we've been unable to find a weakness. No thermal exhaust port, no oscilator. In other words, they're on to us. Our forces are too depleted to mount a direct assault, but we've found an alternative. An analog system, from the days of the Old Republic. A small team will activate the beacon and summon the galaxy to war. When they succeed, the rest of us will be ready."
Rose was going to lead the team but Rey couldn't come because the First Order was hunting for her.
"Prepare to evacuate." Leia said. "We'll reconvene at the rendevous point."
On Coruscant, Kylo Ren sat in his chamber staring at Darth Vader's burnt helmet.
"I understand you now, grandfather." Kylo said. "Your pain. You allowed love to cloud your judgement. I will succeed where you have failed."
Kylo then went to the balcony and threw the mask down into the city before he climbed into his TIE Silencer.
"VX-20, set course for Remicore."
The drone settled into a datalock over Kylo's shoulder and the silencer flew off.
"Good riddence." Hux said, watching the silencer disappear.
Commander Sellik approached and Hux turned around.
"Sir, one of our probes picked up the droid's signal." Sellik said. "We've found them."
"Ready my ship. I want to witness their extinction myself." Hux ordered.
"Shall I inform the Supreme Leader?"
"No, let Kylo and the girl fulfill the empty promises of their ancient religion. In the end, they'll destroy each other, as the Jedi and Sith always have. Then we will rise. Strong and decisive. Ready to bring true order to the galaxy. Prepare the attack."
