Ch 10

A thick green energy beam shook the mountain and alarms blared.

"General Organa, Resurgent-class Star Destroyer detected!" a Resistance member said. "We're taking fire!"

The Finalizer and two flanking Destroyers bore down on Korilev.

"Decimate any ships leaving the planet." Hux ordered. "Charge the primary weapon!"

Resistance pilots ran for their ships.

Emergency evac, all personnel and craft to rendevous at point crimson. blared the PA system.

"Route all unarmored transports to the Eclipse." Leia said. "It's our only way out."

Poe and Finn sat in the Millennium Falcon when Chewie roared.

"I know, I know." Poe said. "Your seat."

"Can we talk about this later, Chewie?" Rey said.

The Falcon zoomed out as laser blasts pounded into the mountain from above.

The Eclipse rose from its hidden canyon and Leia was in the command bridge, which was fully manned by Resistance personnel.

"Shields are at 8%, General." Lieutenant Connix reported. "We can't wait any longer."

Rose calculated the jump to lightspeed as the Eclipse winked away into hyperspace.

"Primary weapon charged, Chancellor." an officer said.

"Fire!" Hux ordered.

The Finalizer's superlaser finally cracked the Resistance base's shields.

BADA-BOOM!

The entire planet exploded in a ball of hellfire.

"We can't make the jump with all this debris!" Poe said as he flewthe Falcon through the field of debris.

"Neither can that Destroyer." Rey replied.

The dark and jagged Knife 9 zoomed in blazing pursuit.

Hattaska Ren was floating in an electro-oxygen chamber.

Jaedec sat at the helm.

Ott and Lori flanked him in gunchairs.

The Knife 9 fired waves of blasterfire on the Falcon, the blaster bolts bouncing off its deflector shields.

"Who the hell is this?" Poe asked.

"Let me fly." Rey said.

"I've got the yoke. My yoke!"

"My ship!"

Chewie said they were both wrong in his language.

Poe fired at a mountain peak in their way and Knife 9 was hit by a spinning piece of the peak, sending it off course.

"We're clear!" Rey said.

"Punch it!" Poe replied.

Rey mashed down on the button and the Falcon zipped away.

Jaedec regained control of Knife 9.

Jaedec placed his hand on the glass of Hattaska's chamber.

Lori and Ott waited for the answer.

Hattaska nodded and Jaedec turned to the others.

"Set a course for Bonadan." Jaedec ordered.

They would find Rey no matter what.

She would accept the darkness within her or die.
