I'm neither famous nor a multi-millionaire therefore I have no rights to Harry Potter. However, I do thank J.K. Rowling for allowing others to play in her sandbox. Please read and review.

Nicholas left the bank with a spring in his step. He had formulated a plan while working on his metamorphmagus skills. Using the map of Diagon Alley that his parents had left him, he had decided on a number of stops that he needed to make. First, he was going to get something to eat. Checking the map, he found a nice bistro on Tangent Ally just off of Diagon Alley close to Gringotts. Putting the map away, he made his way to Bella's Bistro and took a seat at one of the outdoor tables.
Looking around he saw that Bella's Bistro was across the street from Tina's Tiny Tots Toys. There was a mother holding the hands of a pair of twins who were excitedly pointing at some toys displayed in the window. Nextdoor to Bella's Bistro was Wendy's Wizarding Wardrobe. There was a display in the window which had formal robes as well as casual and work attire. On the other side of Bella's Bistro was a little shop that seemed to sell odds and ends.
"Hello there, may I take your order?" a smiling witch with bright blue eyes, curly brown hair, and midnight blue robes with a name tag that read Mrs. Billywig.
"Hello Mrs. Billywig. I'd like the onion soup au gratin, please. To drink, just a butterbeer will be fine." Nicholas said as he folded the menu that had appeared when he'd sat down and set it back on the table. It disappeared immediately.
"I'll place your order right away." the smiling waitress said as she briskly walked away.
Not a minute later the food appeared on the table. Nicholas smiled and dug right in. All the work getting his appearance just right had made him quite hungry.
Once he had finished eating, he pulled out the map again and looked for the law office his family had been frequenting for generations. Finding it off another side street he figured out how to get there, put money down for the bill and a tip, then started walking towards Acute Alley which was a turnoff a little further down Diagon Alley than the one he was on now. So, making his way back to Diagon Alley, he continued walking past Gringotts until he reached Acute Alley. Turning onto it, he found Everett's Law firm on the right hand side in an old brownstone. He walked up the steps, opened the door, and was met by a haughty looking witch behind a reception counter.
"May I please speak to Mr. Alexander Everett?" Nicholas asked politely. The witch just stared back at him for a few minutes then went back to her parchment work as if she had better things to do than listen to him. She was a young witch, perhaps just out of school, with straight black hair, hazel eyes, and a narrow jaw. She was in black form fitting robes.
Nicholas placed his hand on the counter, making sure his Pyrites Heir ring made a sound as his hand made contact and said "Ma'am, I am a client of Mr. Alexander Everett's, and I wish to see him. Please, do your job, and see if he is available."
The witch looked up with a disgruntled look on her face, then looked at his Heir ring and her eyes got bigger. She stood up, straightened her robes, and hastily made her way to Mr. Everett's office on the next floor.
Nicholas sat down to wait. It didn't take long for him to hear the click clack of her high heels as she made her way back down the stairs. "Mr. Everett will see you now. Just up the stairs, first door on your left."
"Thank you!"

"Mr. Everett, how nice to finally meet you! I must say, your secretary is not a people person." Nicholas said as he shook Mr. Everett's hand. Alexander raised one eyebrow as he shook the hand of the boy in front of him. "Would you mind introducing yourself, young man? My secretary had very little to say other than you bore the Heir ring of the Pyrites house."
I must first ask you to swear and oath in which you will not divulge my identity in any way, shape, or form. Neither written, spoken, thought, or through deed. It is imperative for my safety and the safety of others. You will know why after the oath is sworn. If you could add a contract as well, that would be even better.
Alexander stared at this young man while his brain ran a multitude of scenarios discarding some and processing the likelihood of others while trying to decipher whether or not it was worth his time and energy to accept this client. Something was telling him it was important that he did this and he usually followed his instincts as they never led him wrong. Taking a deep breath and pulling out his wand, he swore an oath to the young man. Then he pulled out a contract that hadn't been used since the time of the Blood Wars. Discussing it with the young man they both signed it.
"Now, may I find out who I am working with?" He asked as he brought out a folder and prepared to start a file for the young man. Looking at him, he raised his brow and waited.
"My name is Harry James Potter however, I currently go by Nicholas Oliver Pyrites and we have a lot to talk about."
Out of all the names he could have guessed, Alexander would never have guessed those two. He just stared at the young man for a minute before he gathered his wits about him and collected the Potter folder from his filing cabinet. "Heir Pyrites, I am so very sorry for your loss. How may I help you?"
"Well, first my mother and father both left letters for me which I have retrieved from Gringotts. The one from my mother informs me of a Prophecy that was made about me and the one who killed my parents. She also told me not to trust Dumbledore and to go to an ICW accredited school instead of Hogwarts. I have already initiated plans to do so." Nicholas said as he pulled out his mother's letter for Alexander to make a copy.
"In addition, there is my parent's Will which I have been told was never executed. It will be done so this Friday at 10 a.m. at Gringotts. In the will, it was specifically stated who should take care of me in the event of their death. Their wishes were not followed. In fact, they specifically stated who should not take care of me and their wishes were completely ignored. I was placed with my Aunt Petunia Dursley and Uncle Vernon Dursely who were specifically stated that I should not be placed with." Pulling out an envelope in which a copy of the Will was contained, he gave it to the Lawyer.
"I am going to need to contact Amelia Bones for this one. I will have her swear an oath and sign a contract, just as I did before I bring her over if she is available. Wait right here, please." Alexander stated as he grabbed a pinch of floo powder and disappeared in a flash of green flames.
Nicholas opened his trunk and pulled out one of the books his mother told him to read. This one was an introduction to the wizarding world. He had started it at Gringotts and had been reading it off and on between the meetings, eating, and his healing. He was about a quarter of the way through it already and enjoyed it as it was quite informative. About an hour later and after finishing the book, there was a flash of green flames and out stepped Mr. Everett followed by a witch with a severe expression, a monocle over her left eye, brown hair up in a chignon, and red robes with a black lining and royal blue piping along the edges.
Nicholas stood up while Mr. Everett said "Amelia Bones I would like to introduce you to Harry James Potter who prefers to go by Nicholas Oliver Pyrites, Nicholas Pyrites I would like to introduce you to Amelia Bones, the Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement." Gesturing to the seats in front of his desk, Mr. Everett pressed a rune on his desk and said "Nancy, please send up a tea service for three." Not a moment later a tea service for three appeared on the desk. They busied themselves preparing their tea and taking a few sips before the lawyer continued.
"Madam Bones, we asked you to come here due to crimes committed against Heir Pyrites." Alexander said as he opened the file and pulled out the parchments that Nicholas had handed him earlier. "Heir Pyrites was illegally placed with his maternal Aunt and her family, he had funds illegally withdrawn from his account, and I'm presuming he has someone illegally appointed as his guardian. That will need to be verified." The lawyer passed these papers over to Madam Bones as he finished stating the facts.
"Heir Pyrites have you ever met with your guardian? Have you ever learned about your role as the Heir to the Potter estate?" Madam Bones asked while looking through the parchments.
He looked at her and said "Until this past Monday, I had no knowledge of family history, my heirships, and the only guardians I know of are my Aunt and Uncle. I also must say, my Aunt and Uncle failed at being guardians." pulling out his trunk, he unshrunk it, opened it to compartment three where he had been keeping all of his paperwork. He pulled out the medical scans Healer Emraldermage had given him and handed them to his lawyer who made two copies, handed one to Madam Bones, kept one, and handed him back his copy.
"You will not be going back there, I can assure you of that!" Madam Bones stated as she looked at him with fire burning in her eyes. "I will send Aurors to arrest them as soon as I return to my office, their son, well, it will depend on what you have to say. I would like to get your testimony as well as some memories. Are you up for that?"
Taking a deep breath, Nicholas thought about it. This was his chance to take control of his life. He had promised himself that he was starting fresh and that he would never go back there. Since he had come back to the wizarding world, he had found out that Dumbledore had had a massive amount of control over his life and it appeared that he had had a significant amount of control over his parents' lives in the end. He was not going to allow that to continue. Steeling his resolve, he gave his assent and told his story when the Head of the DMLE was ready.
"That leads up to how I came to Diagon Alley." I finished my tale with a sigh of relief as Madam Bones looked at the parchment the dictaquill had been recording my story on to make sure everything was there.
"Well done. Now, I'm just going to collect some memories. All I need you to do is think of the entire event from beginning to end, then nod to let me know when you're ready. These aren't going to be pleasant, but it'll be over quickly and then we'll move on." She said sympathetically. "The first memory I'll need is the earliest recollection you have of your uncle hitting you."
Nicholas nodded and Madam Bones put her wand to his forehead, gently pulled out a silvery strand of memory and bottled it in a small phial. Then she said "Next, I need your earliest memory of your cousin playing "Harry Hunting". Repeating the same procedure she then asked for the memory of Aunt Petunia hitting him on the head with the frying pan, then Aunt Marge siccing Ripper on him and spending the night in the tree, followed by three of his most recent incidents - one from each of his relatives.
"That's all that I need. You've been very strong and brave, I think this definitely calls for some ice cream. Would you care to join me at Fortescue's?" Madam Bones asked as she gathered everything up and put it away in her robe pockets.
Mr. Everett gathered all his parchment together, placed it in the Potter file, and stated "The investigation has begun and the only other thing I need to do with Heir Potter is take him to the Post Office to get a two-way mailbox. That can be done after we've gotten some ice cream."
"I'm definitely all for getting ice cream. I've only ever had what my cousin didn't want, and that was only once!" Nicholas said excitedly as he bounced to his feet all ready to go. He had shrunk down his trunk and returned it to his pocket as the others were getting their things together.
ƸӜƷ.•°*"˜˜"*°•.ƸӜƷ•°*"˜˜"*°•.ƸӜƷ
"I'll have a scoop of Raspberry Vanilla ice cream in a cone, please." Mr. Everett told Mr. Fortescue who scooped the ice cream into a cone and handed it to the lawyer. "I'll have a scoop of the Chocolate Strawberry ice cream in a cone, please." Madam Bones said as Mr. Fortescue scooped the desired ice cream into a cone and handed it to her. "And I'll have a scoop of the Chocolate Peanut Butter in a cone, please." Receiving his cone he started to take money out of his money pouch when Madam Bones paid Mr. Fortescue for their bill.
They sat outside at one of the tables and watched as people went about their shopping. Soon a girl with dirty blond hair was pulling a man with white hair towards their table. As they arrived at their table, Nicholas could see that they had pale silvery eyes. The girl's eyes seemed larger than normal and she was staring straight at him. It was a tad unnerving then she smiled and said "You're Harry Potter."
Mr. Everett pulled out two more contracts while Madam Bones put up a privacy shield. "Mr. Lovegood, Miss Lovegood, you are both going to need to sign a contract stating that you will not reveal Mr. Potter's identity, alias, and whereabouts. This is for his safety as well as the safety of others."
The young girl looked at her father and said "Daddy we need to do this. It's important. Harry is important and he hasn't been treated well. He doesn't have any friends, I want to be his friend."
"Okay my little moon, we'll sign them." He said as he picked up the quill and signed his name. Handing the quill to his daughter he showed her where to sign. After she signed, Mr. Everett asked Mr. Lovegood to swear an oath which he did.
Madam Bones then made introductions, including Harry Potter's alias. After explaining everything that had happened she looked at Xeno and asked "How do you feel about becoming Nicholas' guardian?"
"Daddy, we need to do this. I need to go to school with Nicholas next year. He's going to the Uluru school of magic, we need to go with him. Then next year I'll go with him to school. Besides, it's better than Hogwarts. Also, there's new creatures there for you to find."
Nicholas gasped and asked "How did you know I applied to the Uluru Academy of Magic?" Luna looked at him and said "The Blibbering Humdingers told me so!"
Mr. Lovegood placed his hand on his daughter's shoulder while looking at Mr. Everett and Madam Bones. "Now I must ask you all to take an oath and/or sign a contract if Mr. Everett has three more copies on him."
Mr. Everett looked at Madam Bones, gave her an imperceptible nod, then pulled out three more copies. After they all signed, Mr. Lovegood began explaining how his daughter has the Fae-Sight and is a Conjugate Seer. Many times the pathways that she saw were too varied and hard to discern however, at times they had a common element such as what Luna saw with Nicholas. Another item that she saw was the consequences of her informing others of her gifts which was why he had insisted on the oaths and contracts. She had learned it would lead to her enslavement.
"So, to answer your question, I would be delighted to become the guardian of Nicholas. When my daughter is this adamant about something, I follow her lead. She has never steered me wrong. I suppose we will need to start making preparations for our move to Australia as well." Mr. Lovegood said as he looked at Nicholas. "By the way, you can call me Xeno. I know you probably don't want to call me dad or father, so Xeno is more than adequate."
"So, why are you going to the Uluru Academy of Magic instead of Hogwarts?" Madam Bones asked.
"Well, for one, they don't even rank in the top 25 schools of magic worldwide. For another, Dumbledore is the Headmaster. Another, they offer a lot more classes. Another, they are ICW ranked. Another, they offer two masteries. I've got a brochure if you'd like to make a copy." He said while bringing out his trunk, expanding it, and retrieving the brochure as well as the list of rankings for her to make copies.
"I may just have to send Susan there as well. I might get together with some of the other parents and discuss the benefits of this school. Hogwarts appears to be seriously lacking. Hogwarts is ranked 68th?! Oh my! That will not do, not at all. I really can't send Susan there. I'm glad the letters have not been sent out yet." Madam Bones made her copies and returned the originals to Nicholas who then handed them to Xeno who made a copy before handing them back.
"Well, we had better head to the post office before they close." Mr. Everett said while getting up. "I had better head back to the office and get that investigation started. Xeno, be sure to stop by my office tomorrow. Nicholas, I will see you at the Will reading on Friday." Madam Bones stated while heading towards the Leaky Cauldron. "And we had better get our shopping done."
Everyone split up while Nicholas and Mr. Everett headed to the Diagon Alley Post Office. Once there they asked to speak to Mr. Jacob Gersley. Nicholas was amazed at all the owls available. There were little tiny ones you could hold in your hands all the way up to large ones with dangerous looking curved beaks that had a sign that stated they were for international mail. "I'm Jacob Gersley, how may I help you." Said a voice behind him making him jump. Turning around he saw a man with brown hair, dark blue eyes, and a mustache. He had on dark blue robes and boots that seemed to be made of a type of leather that wasn't crocodile but something stronger.
"Hello there! Good to see you again Mr. Gersley. I need to set up a premium plus box for my client here and he needs it set up with the security special." Mr. Everett said while placing his hand on Nicholas' shoulder causing him to flinch.
"Right this way please." Mr. Gersley said as he led the way to his office while grabbing a blue mailbox. Placing the mailbox on the desk he sat down while gesturing to two chairs in front of the desk. "Alright, let's have the contract."
His lawyer handed him the contract while Nicholas took a seat and waited for everything to be finalized. After Mr. Gersley had signed the contract and sworn the oath, he simply stated "My birth name is Harry James Potter and my legal name is Nicholas Oliver Pyrites. I would like to have all mail for both names redirected to this mailbox, please."
After getting over his shock, Mr. Gerseley said "We can certainly do that for you. If you would please stand up, I need to perform a few simple charms to have the mail redirected. Your lawyer can assure you that these charms are all that I am doing."
Standing up, he looked at his lawyer while Mr. Gersley performed his charms on both Nicholas and the mailbox. His lawyer nodded when the procedure was done, which gave him great relief. "Now, Mr. Pyrites, I just need you to sign this and seal it allowing us to bill your account for the 1G 5S yearly subscription."
Picking up the quill, he signed his name and pressed his Heir ring into the wax.
"Here you go!" Mr. Gersley said as he passed over the mailbox.
"Thank you, sir." He said as he opened his trunk and added it to the third compartment of his trunk. After shaking his hand, he left the Post Office owner's office along with his lawyer.
They both left the shop, stopping at the edge of the alley to talk briefly. "I will join you for the Will reading two days hence. The guardianship should also be established by then. I've asked Tom to book you a room at the Leaky Cauldron as well as to keep an eye on you until Friday. Just to make sure you're safe. This place is not always safe for lone children. Please be sure to check in with him, he's the barkeep." He stretched out his hand and Nicholas shook it. He was a bit disgruntled that the man thought he needed looking after, however, he understood that in the lawyer's eyes, he was still a kid. Despite his age, he had been through more than most adults. He shook the man's hand, thanking him for all he had done, and made his way to the Leaky Cauldron.
