Bella followed Aaron to the gate. There she was handed her weapons back. She was worried about not being able to defend herself outside the wall without something. But Deanna promised that their weapons would be available to them when they needed them outside the wall. That this wasn't a prison, that they could leave when they wanted but hoped that they l would stay. The gate opened and Bella followed Aaron. She thought about what Daryl said before she forced him to stay here.

"I can't lose you."

Bella shook it out of her head and followed Aaron as they walked the outside of the wall. There was a far area that was being expanded for more room for crops. She spotted Sam. His bronze skin highlighted with sweat, his dark hair was a little shaggier than when he was in the Army. Though he still sported his army pants and a white tank. His dog tags shone when the sun glinted off of them. Relief filled her. It was true. Sam was really here.

"Corporal Uley." Bella called.

Sam snapped his attention up to Bella. He looked shocked to see her. She walked towards him and he dropped his shovel and he ran to her, scooping her up into his strong arms and embraced her, lifting her off the ground.

Bella hugged him back. The feeling of his warmth made her feel so much better about being there at Alexandria.

"Master Sergeant." Sam said and set her down and then saluted her.

"At ease." Bella said with a wide smile.

Aaron was smiling too. He loved when people were reunited. It was truly a beautiful thing. "Um. I'm gonna go check on Eric. He sprained his ankle when we were following her group. Deanna gave them the two empty houses on the end. Make sure she makes it back safe." He said with a wave.

Sam gave him a thumbs up and then he looked back at Bella. "How?"

"Long story."

"Where's Gage? Back at the houses?" Sam asked and when Bella's smile faltered, he frowned. "Oh no. Bella…"

Bella shook her head. "I don't want to talk about it. The others don't know about him. So I'd like to keep it that way."

Sam nodded. He cleared his throat. "Well meet my guys." He said and walked her over to the crew that were looking on with curiosity. "Everyone this is Master Sergeant Bella Swan. We were rangers together. Bella that's Jerry, Kaleb and Scott."

Bella waved a hand when they jumped to salute her. "At ease. The world ended fellas no need to salute." She smiled. "Expanding for crops?"

"Yeah. This is fertile ground. We want to have a better garden. There's a smaller one on the far side but the yield hasn't been great. We need better sustainability." Sam explained.

Bella nodded. "My group. Our leader, Rick, he'll want to help. They had success with crops back when they lived at the prison."

"Prison?"

"Yeah, they turned a prison into a permanent home like you guys have here." Bella explained.

"What happened?" Sam asked.

"Bad people." Bella said simply and then saw movement of walkers. She raised her bow and shot two arrows before she took her knives and threw them, taking down the walkers before the other men or Sam could react.

Sam watched her retrieve her arrows and knives.

Scott, he was the oldest on the crew. He was short and bald, his blue eyes were wide, impressed by her skill.

Bella looked back at the guys. "What?"

Sam smiled. "Some things never change."

Daryl stood on the porch or the house. He felt uneasy with Bella away. They didn't know these people. He didn't trust them at all. When he saw Bella walking up, he rushed down the steps. "Bella you-"

"It's okay Dixon. This place. We can trust it." Bella said, interrupting Daryl.

Rick came outside, hearing Bella's voice. He hadn't showered yet either. "So?"

"I saw Sam. We were army rangers together. He's been here since the start of the outbreak. His girlfriend used to live here. I didn't realize that she lived this close to DC. He said that Deanna and Reg built this place. Reg is an engineer. He designed the walls. Since they've been up, they haven't had any breaches. They have a system and everyone has a job. It's a functioning society. He said they're good people. I trust Sam."

Rick nodded. "Alright. That's good enough for me. How's their security?"

"Sam says it's weaker than he'd like. Not many people are trained in weapons. They do have an arsenal supply. The food pantry is located in one of the garages. Third house from Deanna's. They get weekly rations per house. They have supply runners but it's few. Many of these people have never seen outside these walls. They've been shielded from the horrors of what's going on out there." Bella explained.

Daryl looked at Rick. "Want to establish better runs?"

Rick nodded. "Yeah. We want to have jobs. If we're going to integrate into the town, we need to be useful. Let's get cleaned up and have a meeting with all our people and tell them what we know."

"Copy that." Bella said and looked at Daryl. "They don't have hunters. So they've been surviving off what they have. They have chickens for food. But that's it."

"Gotta put variety in their diet." Daryl said with a nod.

Bella looked at Rick. "Who's in which house?"

"Bob, Tyrese, Sasha, Abe, Rosita, Eugene, Carlisle, and Alice over there. Then it's me, Michonne, Judith and Carl, Maggie, Glenn, Beth, Merle, Daryl, Carol, Sophia and you." He relayed.

Bella nodded. "Alright. I know Deanna wants to interview everyone. So be prepared." She said and walked up the steps to the house. "How many bathrooms?"

"Four. All have showers." Rick smiled. "We will sort rooms later but for now. Just rest."

Bella nodded and then went into the house leaving Daryl and Rick there.

Rick looked back at Daryl. "She seems better."

Daryl nodded. "I think it's because she's relieved we're safe. You got like that a couple times. With the farm and Shane."

Rick nodded. He understood all too well the stress of making sure everyone is safe. "Yeah. You go ahead and wash up. I'll go talk to Deanna first." He said and patted Daryl on the back and walked towards Deanna's house.

Daryl went inside. He saw Bella go into the downstairs bathroom. He wanted to really check on her. He went and knocked on the door. She opened it and then let Daryl inside. He shut the door behind him. "I uh. Don't want to keep you from your shower. I just wanted to make sure that you were okay. Now that we're safe. You can rest better. I also wanted to check on your stitches. I noticed a little blood on your shirt. Did you pop them again?"

Bella pulled her shirt off for him to see. The stitches were fine. She knew that getting them wet wasn't a good idea but she needed to really clean the area. She could have them redone later. There was redness from a slight infection and not being able to get it clean enough. Daryl reached a hand out to survey the swelling.

"Its getting infected isn't it?"

"Yeah. But they have medicine here. They even have a doctor. I'll be fine." Bella said and studied Daryl. He was dirty, most of it on his arms and face. It was strange to see him without his crossbow. She saw the weathered look he had. He spent a lot of time outside even before the shit hit the fan. His face had a small scar. She hadn't noticed it before. It was above his eye. Barely there. She reached a hand up, brushing his hair from his face. Her slender hands were cooler than him. His eyes stared at her as she felt his face, her touch gentle. Something misfired in her brain but she leaned into him now, tipping up, her lips brushing his gently.

Daryl's hands wound around at her waist. He felt his feelings stir inside, the yearning for her. He had been carrying a torch for her for a long time now and now, she was looking at him. Kissing him and it meant something to him. The soft, slow kiss continued. Neither one of them rushed it. Daryl didn't want to rush it. He wanted to enjoy the feeling that it gave him with her kissing him like this. There was passion in such a small kiss. Slowly, Bella parted her lips, her tongue slid across to his tongue, gently tasting. A slight caress of their tongues that sent excitement through both of them. Bella's hands moved, unbuttoning Daryl's shirt to reveal his bare chest. His abs were hard but not overly defined. Her hands slid over his skin, sending a shiver through him. His hands moved up her body, his hands hot against her skin. He unfastened her sports bra and let it fall to the ground. Her breast was glorious. A balanced amount of plump that fit perfectly in his hand. His thumb stroked her nipple and she sighed against his mouth. She pressed against him more wanting the closeness.

Need rose in her. It was different feeling like this. She hadn't experienced an orgasm; she always denied the feeling but right now she felt need and want.

"Daryl, I need you." Bella whispered against his lips.

Daryl kissed her again, deeper, quicker as both of their needs drove them. They pulled at their pants, getting naked before moving back towards the shower. Daryl paused to turn it on for them before they stepped inside. He took a moment to look her over, admire her body. He saw the scar on her chest. He didn't know why he hadn't noticed it before. It looked like a gunshot. There were other scars he realized. Another gunshot. And what looked like a knife wound. It was clear that she had been through a lot.

The hot water rained down around them. It was relaxing and invigorating at the same time. Daryl reached out, tracing the scar on her chest.

"I have a lot of scars Daryl. I'll tell you about them someday. But not now." Bella said and reached for his hard cock, stroking her hand over it. She saw the flash of Caius in her head. And she pushed it away. She didn't want to ruin this moment. Not this one. She needed to feel this one.

Daryl groaned a little when she stroked him. He leaned in, kissing her more, his hands exploring over her body while she stroked him. His hands went low, a finger sliding against her clit and it got a bigger reaction from her than he thought it would.

Bella gasped at the sudden sensation and Daryl backed off.

"Are you okay?" Daryl moved his other hand up to cup her slick cheek.

"Yeah I just… I like it. Keep going. I'm not going to tell you to stop." Bella reassured him.

Daryl kissed her again and shifted his fingers against her again, drawing circles over her clit. He used his thumb now to rub circles while he slid two fingers inside, getting another gasp of surprise. He kept going and she stopped stroking him to grip his shoulders to keep herself from sliding in the shower. Daryl shifted her closer to the tile wall, pressing her there as his hand worked over hers. He watched her face as she melted with pleasure a mix of surprise swirling in her eyes. Bella felt herself climb, a sensation she had never felt before and her clit hardened as he fingered her. He went faster and faster until she felt herself break free and the tightness in her belly released and she orgasmed for the first time in her almost 29 years.

"Oh. Oh God." Bella gasped, biting her lip a little to keep herself quiet.

Daryl removed his hand and kissed her, hoisting her up to pin her against the wall. His hard cock slid into her and she was gasping again. Another orgasm wrecked through her while she wrapped around him as he thrust inside her. She locked her legs around him, pulling him in deeper. Pleasure surrounded her from all sides and she rode that wave. Daryl kissed her throat now, suckling slightly as he pushed his hips to hers. His cock was already leaking some, he could tell and he was nearing his end. He thrust in deeper, hitting a spot that Bella didn't even know she had and she gushed around him. She tightened her legs around him as she came hard. Daryl moaned his mouth seeking hers again and he kissed her deep. His hands gripped her ass as he thrust into her three more times, his cock hard and swollen with his seed. He moaned again before he slid out of her his cock trapped between them. He came more than he had in a very long time. He stayed like that for a long moment while their breathing got under control. He slowly let her down to her feet and let the water rinse them off more.

Bella didn't know what to think. She felt like she was walking on air. Her legs didn't quite work. It was a new feeling.

Daryl steadied her and she let him as she leaned into him. "You okay? I haven't slept with many people but no one has ever responded this way before."

Bella nodded, her cheeks flushing a little. "I've never… felt like that before. It was new for me."

"Oh." Daryl blinked. That was a surprise for him. "Well… I guess I thought that you had."

Bella swallowed. "Daryl. Sex is just sex. It doesn't mean much to me."

"Oh." Daryl didn't know what to say to that. It made him feel strange.

"But that, just now with you meant something." Bella said. "I know what I said just now bothered you. I'm sorry. I'm good at reading people Daryl."

"I'm fine."

Bella reached a hand up and wiped his wet hair out of his face. "Daryl. I'm damaged. There is so much pain, guilt and trauma that I don't want you to deal with. I'm not the woman you need."

Daryl studied her. "I've got trauma too Bella. You're not the only one that is scared to open up to someone. We're in this together. We survive, together."

Bella nodded. She knew that. "I'm not ready… to let you in all the way."

"That's okay. I don't want to force you to do anything you're not ready to do."

Bella appreciated that. "For now… let's just get cleaned up."

Daryl nodded and grabbed the shampoo and dumped some in her hair making her smile a little. He smiled too. He liked seeing her smile.
