Jasper lay on the bed in the room with his son. Gabe was curled into his side and he never wanted to be a part from him. He was sleeping now and he combed his fingers through his hair. He looked up at Bella when she walked in. It had been a week since Bella came to rescue them. He was feeling stronger as the days went by. He was just thankful that Bella saved his son's life and his.

"Hey. Sam said his house is ready, he has room for you, Rose and Gabe." Bella said and leaned against the doorframe.

Jasper smiled at Bella. "Thank you. How's Eliam?"

"He's okay. We're going to keep him on the IV. He was severely dehydrated and starved. So it's a process to get him back to health. Gabe had said they kept the kids separate."

Jasper nodded. "Yeah. They were. But they moved Eliam and another girl into the room with me and Rose. They took the girl before you came. I don't know where they took her. I fought them when they did. Which is how I ended up chained." He explained. He was quiet a moment. "They did things to Rose."

"I know. Carlisle saw the trauma. He said that she was lucky to be alive."

Jasper teared up a little. "I had to watch them violate her Bella. I…"

"Hey, she's strong. Like you. She'll be okay. Denise is going to talk with her. Make weekly sessions. She's a psychiatrist and if you need… you can talk to her too. She's really sweet and easy to talk to."

Jasper nodded and then kissed the top of his son's head. "What you did at Martins… you took out so many of their men and you fought the biters hard. Sam said you're a force of nature. Just like back in Kuwait."

"People rescued us Jasper. I only did what I had to."

Jasper nodded and was quiet a moment. "Sam told me about Gage."

Bella looked away forcing back emotion. "I will always love him. I failed him I know that. That's why I wasn't going to fail Gabe and I won't fail Eliam either. I'll do better." She said the last part as she looked back at him.

Jasper studied her. "God, I missed you so much."

"Same." Bella said and walked over to his bedside. "I fell in love."

Jasper raised a brow. "Okay did I fall into a parallel universe or am I in a coma?"

Bella smacked his shoulder lightly, smiling. "Hush. It was hard for me to accept. I really love him. Love is the only explanation for this feeling."

Jasper smiled up at her. "Good. You deserve love Bella. It's good that you're learning to let those feelings in."

"It took me a long time."

Jasper nodded and looked down at his son and looked back at Bella. "Love truly is amazing. Felicity. She was my world. Love humbles you too. I understand how hard it is to love a person. It took me a long time to love you and a while for me to realize that."

Bella smiled a little. "I'm sorry about that."

Jasper chuckled lightly. "It was wrong for me to fall for you in the first place. I was your superior."

"Still. I am sorry. But I do want you to know that I care about you a lot, which is why I came and saved your ass."

Jasper chuckled again, but he got serious. "I owe you my life Bella. This is twice you have saved me from my death and I will always be grateful."

Bella leaned down and kissed Jasper's cheek. "Don't get soft on me Sergeant Major."

Jasper smiled, his Texan charm showing through. "So, you found a man… or woman to settle with?"

"Daryl." Bella smiled. "I'm going to try and get this right this time."

"Good." Jasper said and closed his eyes for a moment. He was tired but he didn't want to show it.

"Get rest Sergeant Major. I'll check on you later." Bella said and Jasper smirked a little and nodded. Bella left and went back downstairs. She walked into to exam room where Eliam was sleeping. She checked his oxygen levels again and made sure his IV was full. She looked up at Denise when she walked in.

"He woke up last night. Screaming. I don't know if Dr. Cullen mentioned it." Denise said.

Bella nodded. "Yeah. He told me. You got him calmed down."

Denise sighed. "Yeah. He's been through a lot. But when he saw he wasn't held in a prison. Plus, Jasper was some help."

"Its going to take time." Bella said and looked at Eliam's sleeping face. It hurt her heart to see him like this. No child should ever have to experience this. She looked back at Denise. "I'm heading out on a hunt with Daryl. We'll be back at dusk." She said and walked past Denise, patting her shoulder as she went by. It was still pretty early, she was hoping they could get a couple deer.

Bella walked down the sidewalk stopping when Aiden blocked her way. "What can I do for you?"

"Where are you going?"

"Hunt. Going to grab my gear before heading out to secure some meat for the town. Where are you going?" Bella asked, her tone dry.

Aiden narrowed his eyes. "We have a structure. I hierarchy to things."

"So you've told me. It's cleared with Deanna. Talk to your mom if you have an issue." Bella said and went around Aiden. She didn't like him. It was only a matter of time before he got someone hurt. He was the primary supply runner and his ego was more than Bella cared to handle. But she would do what she needed to make sure everyone survived. Even narcissist like Aiden Monroe.

Bella jogged up the little stairs to the house and walked inside. Glenn looked irritated. She frowned. "What's wrong?"

"Aiden." Glenn said shaking his head. "I was going to go on a run. Judith needs more formula. I was getting ready to go to Deanna about it and Aiden stopped me. That kid seriously doesn't know what he's doing."

Bella sighed. "Yeah. I know. I'll talk to Deanna. You wanting to leave now?"

Rick blew out a breath. It was a headache from the moment they got to Alexandria and he was getting tired of Aiden himself but he was trying to keep peace. "Judith really needs formula. We're down to probably three bottles so the formula run has to happen today. I was going to go to Deanna myself before you walked in."

"Well. Okay. This is what we do. Glenn, grab your gear. You're coming with Daryl, me and Abraham. You guys split when we get outside the wall. I'll tell Deanna that this is our mission. Her and Reg said we are free to go back and forward as we please so I'm not going to let a trust fund kid boss us around. He's irritating, yes, but he's easily dealt with. I'll take on the headache of dealing with Deanna if you get with Reg about the expansion of the other wall towards that stream so we can get a better fishing spot without jeopardizing people outside the wall."

Rick nodded. "Deal. What would we do without you?" He said with a smile.

Bella winked. "Get a bigger headache." She said and nodded to Glenn. "Go ahead and get ready. I'm grabbing Daryl and we'll be on our way."

Glenn nodded and slapped Bella on the shoulder before going next door to find Abraham.

Bella looked at Rick. "Hey. We're going to be okay. I'm not going to fail us again. I know I lost Bob last week but-"

"You didn't fail Bella. This world is a risk at every turn. It was Bob's time to go. One day, it will be my time. One day it will be yours. We fight like hell to survive in the meantime. Don't be hard on yourself." Rick said and then we walked over to stand in front of her. He looked down at her, setting a hand on her shoulder. "You mean the world to this group. You have saved my life more than once, you saved the life of my son and my daughter. I am forever thankful for that. I will follow you and back you up a hundred percent. You are like the little sister I wish I had."

Bella smiled a little. She wished she had an older brother like Rick. She just nodded. "Thank you." She said and then she moved to the refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of water to bring with her on her hunt. Daryl trotted down the stairs then, his crossbow slung on his back. He moved past Rick to the kitchen where Bella was. He moved to the fridge, his hand sliding to Bella's waist to slide her to the side gently to grab himself a water.

Rick smiled, knowing that Bella and Daryl had formed a connection. "I'll talk to Reg. You guys be careful on your hunt." He said and then left to find Reg.

"What's going on with Reg?" Daryl asked as he shut the fridge.

"Oh, just trying to figure out the wall expansion towards the stream. Glenn and Abraham are going to leave out with us. Judith needs formula."

Daryl nodded and then took a drink of his water before leaning in and kissing her softly. "It's the first hunt since we got here. How's your side feeling?"

"Better. I finished the antibiotics and it's healed better. Forcing me to rest for the week made a difference."

Daryl smiled and sat his bottle down to pull her into his arms. "Good. But if you need more resting, we can put the hunt off."

Bella leaned against him her hands sliding up his chest. "I am perfectly fine. I can do the hunt." She said and kissed him.

Merle walked in the door, seeing Bella and Daryl in the kitchen. It made him smile, seeing his little brother happy. "Are you sure you don't want me to go on the hunt. You can hang back sweetness, rest more." He interrupted. He leaned on the counter.

Daryl pulled away from Bella to look at his brother. "We'll be okay. You need to rest too." Daryl had confronted Merle about the lung cancer. Merle told him not to worry about it. There was little they could do for it now so it didn't matter. But it did matter to Daryl.

Bella smiled at Merle. "I'll be fine. Plus, I think Sam wanted to see if you'd like to go help with the construction project. They need someone to boss them around all day."

"Bossing people around does sound like fun." Merle admitted. He leaned up. "You two be careful then." He said before he left them alone again.

A few moments later Glenn returned with Abraham, ready to go with Bella and Daryl.

Aiden wasn't happy that Bella spoke to Deanna about the run and let it be known. Bella wasn't afraid of pissing off Aiden because in the end, Aiden wasn't the one that called the shots. Bella reminded Deanna that they were told they could come and go. So, she honored that.

Now Abraham and Glenn were on their run for Judith's formula. Bella and Daryl were tracking a deer.

They were quiet as they moved through the woods. It was best to remain quiet during their hunt so the animals wouldn't hear them coming.

After a couple hours of tracking, they stopped, seeing two deer in a small clearing in the woods. They were majestic beasts. Bella and Daryl took their aim at the same time and fired at the same time. Both deer went down, one prancing a bit before it succumbed to it's injuries.

Bella and Daryl moved quickly to the deer. Bella reached down with her knife and slit the deer's throat.

Daryl followed suit and the both of them crouched in the woods, the silence around them while they worked on gutting the deer they had slain.

Bella was on high alert as she always was. Walkers could come up on them at any moment. She heard a rustle and she stood her bow and arrow ready to fire but she froze.

Daryl got to his feet too and turned with his crossbow. They stared back at a man. His hair was brilliant blonde, nearly white and his piercing blue eyes seemed amused.

Bella looked like she had seen a ghost. "W-what are you doing here?" she was staring back at her stepbrother. Caius.

"Come now little sister, you didn't think this world would take me out so easy." Caius said, his voice smooth, monotonous.

Daryl frowned. This was the guy that hurt Bella. This was the sick bastard who traumatized Bella from her youth. He kept his crossbow steady. "Don't move or I'll stick an arrow in your face."

Caius smiled. "Did you think I was alone?" he asked and before Bella and Daryl could react. Someone coldcocked Daryl to the back of the head, knocking him out.

Bella's eyes went side and she stumbled to the side to see another man, dark hair shaggy and brown eyes. He seemed rough and rugged. He also looked strong.

"I have others in the trees. I suggest you lay down your bow. Or we will kill your friend." Caius said his smile still playing on his lips.

Bella swallowed and glanced around. She tossed her bow to the side.

"Demetri, tie him up. I'll take my sister for a stroll." Caius ordered and the man moved and pulled Daryl backwards to tie him up to the tree.

Bella stared at Caius. "Don't hurt him."

Caius chuckled lightly. "I won't hurt him as long as you comply. Come now sister. Let's play a game."

Bella looked over at Daryl. She didn't want anything bad to happen to him so she stepped forward, following Caius. They didn't go far before he pinned her to a tree, her arms for pulled behind her and she realized too late that it was someone else tying her hands back. "Caius, why are you doing this?"

"I missed you, couldn't you tell?" Caius waved to the other man to leave. Bella didn't get a chance to see his face. "Now. Where's our son. Gage was it? I'd love to tell him that daddy is home."

Bella closed her eyes not wanting to relive what happened to Gage.

"Wait. He's dead isn't he?" Caius clicked his tongue as in shaming her. "No matter." He said and shrugged it off. He reached his hands up and pulled at her shirt, ripping it off. His cool hands then unzipped the front of her bra. Her breast popped free and he made a mmm sound. "I missed our games." He said and his hands groped her.

Bella closed her eyes her mind trying to send her back into another dark flashback. She felt Caius's hands roam over her body. Her pants unfastened and his hands went there too. It was like being her young self all over again. She shivered her fear taking over her again.

"Look at me." Caius demanded and it forced Bella to open her eyes and look at him. "That's better." He said and then she felt the invasion. He pushed inside her, burying himself deep. He groaned as he felt the warmth of a woman for the first time in years. He thrust away, not caring.

Bella wanted to kill him. She knew that she was trapped now but as he fucked her the way he wanted she was plotting. She was forcing herself not to disappear again. She thought about Daryl and she needed him safe. So she complied, taking whatever Caius wanted to do to her so she could survive to save Daryl. She knew he had at least two men with him. If she could get her knives out, she stood a chance.

Caius grunted as he came inside her, panting. He pulled from her and fastened his pants. He smiled at Bella. "Little sister. You haven't changed. Still so amazing as the first time." He leaned in and kissed her cheek. He then nodded to someone and he took a few steps back. "Be a good little girl and help my friend. He's been needing the comfort of a little sister too. It's all part of the game. Don't worry."

Bella's eyes flicked towards the other man. The one that tied her to the tree. He was shorter than Caius. His hair a dusty brown color and navy eyes. He had an emotionless stare as he unfastened his pants.

Caius chuckled and left the man there with Bella.

Bella focused waiting for the man to get in close. She had been working on the ropes on her wrist and she was close to getting one hand free. She felt the man advance on her his mouth went to her throat and she let him. She felt his cock slide towards her opening. She felt the panic in her chest but she worked faster with her ropes, his cock biting into her before she slipped it. She moved fast, toppling the man to his back, his cock sliding all the way inside before she got her knife from. Her pants and drove it through his skull.

She lept up, shaking off the sick trying before she pulled her pants on fast and zipped her bra back before she grabbed her knife and she went after Caius.

Daryl was awake now. "You better not touch her!" He yelled at Caius.

Caius chuckled. "Oh I already have. She's my sister. I'll fuck her if I want and when I want. You might have been able to convince her to let you into her pants but she's mine and always will be so you can just-" he stopped mid sentence and froze. He fell forward dropping, a knife in the back of his head. Demetri growled and took his gun out and swung it around but Bella threw a throwing knife and nailed him in the eye. The gun went off anyways as he dropped and Daryl felt the bite of the bullet in his leg.

"God damn it!" Daryl cursed.

Bella was there then, her knife at the ropes on his wrist. "We need to get out of here. I saw walkers filling the area.

"Baby you-"

"I'm okay. I promise. I haven't disappeared. I didn't disappear." Bella said and then she ripped part of Demetri's shirt to tie it on Daryl's leg before getting him to his feet. "Can you walk?"

"Yeah, I think it didn't hit anything important." He said then he leaned and got his crossbow.

Bella nodded and then looked around, she saw some walkers shuffling towards them. She picked up her bow and she fired two arrows and Daryl fired one more.

"We can't leave the deer. We hunted this for hours." Daryl said.

Bella looked around. "Alright, I'll create a distraction." She said and she slipped the only flash grenade she has left from her pocket and she whistled at the walkers and ran towards them. She herded them the best she could before she tossed the flash grenade and slipped away as it went off. The flash drew the walkers attention and so did the smoke. She doubled back around and Daryl was cutting the meat fast.

Bella slid down to help him. "That bought minutes." She said and then she slipped her machete from her side and she cut off the hindquarters of the deer and she wrapped rope around the legs. It was a fast way of transporting the deer. It should have been their last worry but they needed the meat for Alexandria.

Daryl worked fast having done this time and time again.

When they got what they could they left. Daryl favored his hurt leg but he was keeping up with Bella. The deer was heavy on their backs we they rushed back towards their path back to Alexandria.

Daryl kept thinking about Bella. How she had to endure her stepbrother again and he had failed to protect her. He was stewing about it in his head wishing that he did something faster.
