AN: And the trip continues...with some interesting events

Duncan's POV

9:30 pm

After settling in our tents. Myself, Trent and DJ shared a tent. Geoff and Tyler shared another, Owen got one to himself cause neither of us wanted to deal with his farts and the kids all shared one.

It was a long long day for all of us. Once we all got ourselves comfortable in our sleeping bags and the sounds of nature surrounding us I couldn't think of anything more peaceful.

" Daddy " calls Serenity...

" Uh oh someone's up," says Trent sounding half asleep making me sigh heavily as I unzipped myself out of my sleeping bag "Coming" I breathed reaching for my flashlight beside me...

" Dad " calls Louis this time making me snicker "Duty calls " I breathe turning my flashlight on before opening the tent front "Wait for me " breathes Trent as I step out from the tent followed by him.

As we make our way to the kids' tent we hear Owen snoring loudly followed by a fart "Good call on him having a tent alone " whispers Trent suddenly stepped on a branch before pointing the flashlight at the kids' tent...

" AAAAAHHHH!!!! "

They all screamed together making us quickly open the tent "Hey hey hey it's just us " I called out looking inside all of them were huddled together except Mikey.

" I peed," he says out loud " See I told you it was our dad's," said Louis walking out to Trent "Daddy" calls Serenity walking to me along with Millie.

" Daddy Mikey had an accident " calls Millie giggling only to get pushed by her brother " I did not, " says Mikey upset and embarrassed but then Millie pushed him back "Then what's that " teased Millie pointing at her brother's wet pants. Next thing we know the twins are fighting one another, and we quickly do our best to pull them apart.

" Okay, you two," says Trent grabbing Millie while I grab Mikey.

Finally, when Tyler arrived he looked at his twins upset " I got it from here you guys thank you for splitting them apart " he says before picking them each up from the back of their shirts and lifting them like dumbbells "Okay you two that's enough " he adds before walking away with them leaving us surprised.

" Well that's a unique way of parenting, " says Trent watching Tyler lift each twin "That and a new way to work out " I add before going back to the original reason why I was out of my tent.

Serenity looked at me with a sad expression "Alright what's going on? " I asked while Trent and Louis walked to the side " I forgot Duncan Deer " she sniffs wiping her tears away " I see you know honey we said he should stay home " I explained knowing how much she loves her favourite plush toy.

" I miss him " breathed Serenity "I know but you don't want him to get lost here or run away with other wild deer, " I said attempting to use some creativity "Runaway? " asks Serenity.

" Yeah he might like the other deer and run off," I said knowing well her toy wouldn't do that "It's scary here," said Serenity looking around the campsite. Sighing heavily I pick her up and make our way to my tent.

" HOO HOO HOO "

" Aaah " screams Serenity quickly grabbing my neck tight " Hey now it's okay it's just an owl " I explained pointing the flashlight around til finally, I found the owl high above in a tree " look there " I add as Serenity slowly looks up from my shoulder " wow " she gasps forgetting about what she was scared of.

Geoff sticks his head out of his tent "Everything okay? " he asks looking at us "Yeah we're good just going to my tent " I replied knowing Serenity will not sleep well without me.

" Good night," says Serenity waving at Geoff "Good night kiddo," he says back before we go to my tent where I'm hoping we could all get some sleep.

Saturday

7:30 am

It was not so bad on our first-night camping, after reassuring Serenity, there was nothing to be scared of we got some much-needed sleep. She slept peacefully with me in my sleeping bag.

Louis ended up sleeping with Trent in his sleeping bag as well turns out he was also scared of the night noises and needed to go to the bathroom.

Tyler lectured the twins that if they didn't behave they would be staying at the campsite for the remainder of the trip.

Serenity's POV

8:30 am

* chirp * * chirp *

Slowly moving my eyes I open them and see the sun shining. It's morning now and no more scary sounds.

Turning in the sleeping bag I don't see Daddy, he let me sleep more...

" Hey guys coffee is ready "

Hearing DJ I smile followed by hearing more voices...

" Yes please pour me a cup, " says Daddy making me happy just as I was about to sit up Louis was getting up too...

" Good morning " I greet him "Good morning Serenity," he says rubbing his eyes...

" You think the kids would enjoy some pancakes, " says DJ making both of me and Louis smile " YAY PANCAKES!!!!! " we said getting up from the sleeping bags before running out of the tent.

When we got out we saw our daddy's by the tables "Well good morning " says Daddy grinning "Hi" I said running quickly to him hugging his leg "Hello" greets everyone as they smile at me.

" DJ is making pancakes? " I asked happily "You bet little sunshine " answered DJ mixing things in a bowl.

" Let's eat up then we got fish waiting for us to catch," said Geoff smiling.

9:00 Am

After we ate pancakes I changed my clothes then Daddy helped me brush my teeth and wash clean my face with a wet towel. Even Louis, Mikey and Millie changed too.

Our daddies were packing some stuff and we were looking at some ants "Where are they going? " asks Millie and Mikey together sitting on the bench beside me " I don't know? " answers Louis sounding bored "Maybe they're going home " I said smiling as the ants go into the woods.

" LET'S GO!!!! " calls Owen making us all look up at him " YAY!!!! " we cheer running to our daddies.

" Alright mini campers make a line," says DJ as we listen to what he says it's kinda what Miss. Zoe would say in school.

" Everyone ready," asks Daddy smiling as him and the others smile "Let's go fish then " he adds before we start walking.

Normal POV

15 Minutes Later

The sound of heavy breathing and exhaustion could be heard amongst the group "Are we there yet? " everyone looks back to see Owen sweating and exhausted "Dude we're just barely out of the campgrounds " says Trent looking at his fellow gopher teammate " yeah man " said Tyler walking up to Owen " maybe we can roll him " said DJ making a few laughs.

" No go on without me save yourself " breathed Owen getting on his knees "Aw poor Owen," says Serenity walking up to him "You can do it," said Louis standing beside Serenity " It won't be fun without you," said Mikey smiling " yeah and it's funny when you fart " adds Millie making most of the adult's snicker hearing her say that.

" Owen Owen Owen " cheered the kids along with clapping "Aw you guys," says Owen standing up "Thanks anyone wanna sing? " he adds before continuing to walk with the kids beside him along with more cheering...

All the adults look amazed by what occurred "Well if that's all it took " says Duncan before he continued walking "Motivation and nice words from 3-year-olds" replies Geoff smiling at the scene in front of him and the others...

" Really of all songs, this is the one they sing " laughs Tyler hearing the kids and Owen singing" Coincidentally a classic especially at summer camps " explains Trent smiling "You guys gotta admit they sound cute," said DJ before whistling along with the song...

20 minutes

Once at the lake the rafts were out and loaded everyone put life jackets on including the kids they were finally paddling out to the lake.

" Yay we're on the water," says Louis standing in the raft as Trent and Duncan paddled while Serenity peaked from the side sitting beside her dad.

Geoff and Tyler were with the twins than in the last boat were DJ and Owen.

" Row row row your boat " sang Owen paddling " Gently down the stream " sing Louis smiling "Merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream " sang the rest of the kids.

As soon as they reached the middle of the lake they set themselves up with rods and waited...

Watching the float for the rod in the water Serenity stares quietly "Daddy will the fishy come soon " she asks curiously "There's a worm on the hook that should be looking pretty tasty to them so let's hope " answers Duncan staring at the water " ew " she responds making Duncan chuckle.

" And release," says Trent showing Louis how to cast out "Wow" breathes Louis watching the hook go into the water "How you guys doing? " calls Geoff to everyone "Okay...sort of " answers DJ watching Owen trying to put a worm on his hook but kept piercing his finger.

Tyler somehow tangled up all the fishing lines that he was unable to cast out "Daddy are you okay? " asks Mikey watching his dad struggle "Yeah buddy just give me a moment " replies Tyler "Are you sure? " asks Millie.

Tyler stood up on the raft only to suddenly slip over a paddle resulting in him falling into the water.

Everyone tried not to laugh but it was hard not to watch the former killer bass camper "Oh dude " says Geoff putting his rod down to go help his teammate "Man this water is freezing " breathes Tyler as he's pulled back into the raft.

1 Hour Later

" Where are the fish? " asks Mikey looking at the water "No clue but we're not having luck here " sighs DJ as he and the others have not had any luck.

" Hey how about we go back to the dock and have some lunch then try fishing more " suggests Trent getting everyone's attention "Good call," says Owen excitedly.

As they were all reeling in their hooks Duncan's rod started moving "Woah...hold it guys I think I got something " he says pulling it "Nice" replies Geoff watching him bringing in what he caught "Come on " said Duncan seeing what was fighting at the end " yay daddy " cheered Serenity standing beside him getting excited.

Finally, Duncan pulled in a decent-sized trout " YEAH!!!! " cheers everyone "Nice work " says Trent looking at the fish "Alright fish for dinner " announced Duncan grabbing the fishing net.

As Duncan was picking up his catch a buzzing sound was heard from the distance...

" What's that sound? " asks Owen as he and everyone look around to see something coming their way from the distance "Is someone on a jet ski? " asks Tyler squinting his eyes to see what it was.

" It looks like they're coming our way," said DJ as the sound was getting louder, " uh is it just me or are there more? " asks Geoff and sure enough two more were coming their way "Let's get going," said Tyler picking up his paddle as did everyone else.

Once at the dock, the guys dragged the rafts to shore.

" Alright who wants a peanut butter sandwich," asks Geoff opening the coolers " ME ME ME ME " answers all the kids at once rushing up to Geoff "Woah now there's plenty for everyone," says Geoff making the others laugh watching their friend handle the kid's lunch.

" Now you know what we deal with " calls Trent as he and DJ bring in the rafts along with Duncan, Tyler and Owen.

All of a sudden the familiar buzzing sounds of jet skis were heard once again only this time a very familiar voice was heard calling to the group...

" HOLA AMIGOS!!!!! " greets Alejandro coming towards the dock Miguel riding with him wearing a life jacket following behind were the other jet skis.

Duncan's eyes twitched hearing that familiar greeting slowly turning to see knowing well who it was "Son of - " he says only to get his mouth covered by Geoff "Kids are around " he whispers calming him and watching Alejandro.

Trent gave the fakest smile he could give while waving "Great just great " he says mentally in his mind " And he's got company " adds Trent noticing two more guys walking with Alejandro.

" Well small world," says Alejandro as him and Miguel walk towards the group "Yes it is " answered Duncan squeezing his fists tightly so that a murder wouldn't be occurring.
