New Friend!

:-:-:-:-:-:

*Day of entrance exam*

When Ainz saw the brand new Rolls-Royce waiting outside his apartment to take him to school, his first thought was, 'Do I really need such a luxurious car?' As a former salaryman who had spent most of his life riding trains, the experience of riding in a car like this felt out of place to him.

"Yuri, is this car really necessary?" Ainz asked with a wry smile. "Isn't it a bit too flashy? Won't we attract too much attention with it?"

"I'm sorry, Ainz-sama," Yuri replied, a proud look on her face. "But as the ruler of Nazarick, it befits your status to use this car. It has been enchanted with magic, making it the safest option since we can't use Soul Eaters or Death Knights to guard your ride. Besides, as the sole heir of Nazarick Enterprises attending school, you are bound to attract attention to yourself regardless."

"Hmm...this car is safe," added Shizu with her ever-expressionless face, placing a finger on her chin.

'Well, I can't argue with that logic,' he thought to himself with a sigh as he entered the car. Yuri and Shizu, assigned to escort him to school for his safety, followed soon after. In addition, a Homunculus maid was seated beside him to serve him. Four lv.80 Hanzos were also following the car. 'Even Presidents don't receive this kind of security,' he thought to himself.

As the car moved along, Ainz went through the entire plan in his head. As he confirmed everything, a devilish smile appeared on his face. "Well, it seems everything depends on me passing the exam," he thought to himself, enjoying his favorite medium-rare steak.

After finishing his steak, Ainz quickly glanced through the reports he had received that morning while everyone in the car was minding their own business. His eyes then landed on Yuri, who was focused on the road as she drove the car. Personally, Ainz thought that Yuri could be more useful to Albedo or Sebas in administrative work. However, when he had asked Yuri about this earlier, she had replied, "Forgive me, Ainz-sama, but Albedo-sama personally instructed me to serve you while you are living here." He had decided not to pursue the matter anymore because he knew he couldn't win against Albedo when it came to things like this.

"By the way, why is Shizu here?" Ainz asked, glancing at the stoic girl who was looking out the window. "Not that I mind, but shouldn't she be with Sebas?"

"Actually, Ainz-sama, today is her day off, and she asked to come with us," Yuri explained.

"Hmm, I want to see the school," Shizu said with a small nod.

"Hmm, I see," Ainz smiled to himself, thinking, 'I guess even if she is Automaton, she's still a kid at heart.'

After this small exchange, Ainz continued reading the report. He usually just glanced over the important points from the presented documents because he knew that Albedo always goes through all documents before presenting them to Ainz. He was glad that he had so many talented people under him that he could just slack off.

Suddenly, he received a [Message] spell request from Shalltear. Wondering what could be so urgent, he accepted the request and heard Shalltear's voice on the other end.

[Ainz-sama, may I speak with you? Is it okay to talk right now?]

[Yes, Shalltear. What is it?]

[I have finished all the preparations and am now waiting for your order to withdraw.]

[Good. Have you double-checked everything? We do not want to leave any traces behind.]

[Yes, of course, my lord. May I ask a question, Ainz-sama?]

[What is it? Are you having some kind of trouble?]

[No, thank you for your concern, but I just wanted to ask why you ordered us to withdraw from Europe. Will it not affect the hero agencies there?]

[You don't need to worry about the hero agencies in Europe. We have already established enough influence in that region, so we don't need to create any more villains. Additionally, Demiurge no longer requires test subjects, so it is best to conserve our resources. When you are finished there, return to Nazarick and await further orders.]

[Thank you, Ainz-sama. I understand now. I will await further orders. Byee~]

As Shalltear ended her [Message], the car slowed down and came to a stop in front of a large, imposing building of U.A. High School, the most prestigious hero academy in Japan. "Lord, we have arrived," said Yuri, turning around to face Ainz who nodded in return. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of anxiety as he was returning to high school after such a long absence. The last time he had stepped foot in a classroom was when he had taken a temporary teaching job for some quick money during his last semester of college.

'Well, let's do this,' he thought to himself as he got out of the car. The first thing he noticed was that, for some odd reason, he was the center of attention. At first, he was confused as to why everyone was looking at him, but then he realized the reason. 'I knew bringing this car was a bad idea,' he thought. 'I guess I'll have to get used to this kind of attention from now on,' he sighed internally. He knew that the NPCs wouldn't let him use any other vehicle, and he had already used Nazaric Enterprise's name for his school alias, so he had to use it to his advantage somehow.

Yuri's voice interrupted Ainz's thoughts. "I think the exam will start any moment now," she said.

"You're right, I should get going," Ainz replied.

"I'll come to pick you up later. Good luck with the exam," Yuri said, offering a warm smile.

"Good luck," Shizu chimed in, giving Ainz a thumbs-up. "If you do well, I'll give you a sticker."

"Thanks, I'll be waiting for you," Ainz responded with a genuine smile.

With that, Yuri left, leaving Ainz behind feeling surprisingly at ease. Though they didn't realize it, Yuri and Shizu's brief exchange had helped Ainz calm his mind.

:-:-:-:-:-:

After bidding farewell to Yuri and Shizu, Ainz made his way onto the campus. Though he had managed to shake off his nervousness, he couldn't help feeling a little annoyed by the way everyone was staring at him. 'I know bringing an expensive car is hardly normal, but isn't all this attention a bit much?' he frowned to himself.

What Ainz failed to realize was that, this time, it wasn't his car that was drawing attention, but rather his clothes. He was currently wearing the lustrous [Night's mirror] set, a divine-class armor favored by Bukubukuchagama for her own character. Ainz had chosen it for its powerful passive abilities, such as boosting the power of dark spells and providing high defense against elemental damage. However, there was also a personal motive behind his choice: Ainz wanted to fulfill Bukubukuchagama's dream of bringing her created character to life.

'It will be difficult to make useful connections if this continues like that,' he thought as he surveyed his surroundings. He knew that if students saw him as unapproachable, he won't be able to make useful connections. Just then, he noticed a book lying on the ground near a green-haired boy. 'This could be my chance,' he thought to himself and started making his way over to the boy in the hopes of striking up a conversation.

As Ainz closed the distance between them, he noticed that the green-haired boy had become much paler. 'Is he sick?' Ainz wondered, but then a more disturbing thought crossed his mind: 'Could he feel my undead aura?' Ainz's body tensed at the possibility. Despite being in a homunculus body, he knew that he was still an Overlord - the highest race of the undead class and it was impossible to completely suppress his aura, even with the divine-class item on his wrist. Ainz was prepared to use his Hanzos to escape back to Nazarick if needed. However, he soon overheard other students discussing a possible brawl and realized that was likely the reason for the boy's fear. With a sigh of relief, Ainz approached the green-haired boy and flashed the best smile he had practiced in his room.

"Hey, you dropped something," Ainz picked up a notebook from the ground and handed it to the green-haired boy.

"A...a... when did I drop that?" the boy said while checking his pockets. Ainz understood that he was more nervous than he was. "Thank...thank you," the boy said nervously as he received the journal.

"Are you nervous about the exam?" Ainz asked, trying to keep the conversation going.

The boy looked down and replied, "Yeah, a little."

"Hey, don't be like that. Just believe in yourself and you'll do just fine," Ainz said, patting the boy's shoulder. Ainz hoped that these small gestures would make him seem friendlier, just as he had read in that book about interacting with teenagers.

Ainz turned to walk towards the exam hall when suddenly, the green-haired boy called out to him, "Hey, what's your name?"

The question caught Ainz off guard, causing him to stop in his tracks. "Oh... my name," he said, turning around to face the boy. Ainz smirked and said in a clear, loud voice, "Nazarick, Satoru Nazarick." He said it loud enough for everyone to hear, and he noticed quite a lot of students staring at him with wide eyes.

'Nailed it! Just like I practiced!' Ainz thought, feeling satisfied with his performance as he entered the exam hall.

:-:-:-:-:-:

With the sound of the last warning bell, the exam began.

The first part of the exam was a written test that tested students on their academic and general knowledge. For many students, it was more difficult than a practical exam, but Ainz had an advantage thanks to his abilities. With [Analyse], he didn't need to study anything other than general knowledge books. Additionally, his special ability [Dark Wisdom] that had allowed him to learn and memorize 718 different spells, twice the number that a normal player could learn. This same ability was now helping him memorize things easily, making the exam quite a breeze for him.

After an hour, time was up and everyone submitted their exams. To everyone's surprise, Ainz finished his test within the first 30 minutes and sat idly for the remaining time. Most of the students were left wondering whether he would pass with flying colors or fail with the lowest score in the history of the U.A.'s written exam.

Next, Ainz headed to the school auditorium where they would receive a briefing before the practical exam. On his way there, he overheard students discussing how difficult the exam was. He felt a twinge of guilt for using his skills to cheat, but he quickly pushed that thought to the back of his mind. As he walked, he spotted the same green-haired boy from earlier walking alone and muttering to himself. Realizing that it was the same boy, Ainz approached him.

"Hey, how was the exam?" Ainz asked the greenhead, who appeared as though he had just experienced a minor heart attack.

"Ahh!" the greenhead screamed and blinked a few times before recognizing Ainz. "Oh, Nazarick, it's just you," he sighed in relief. "I was scared when you called me out of nowhere. I wasn't expecting anyone to talk to me."

'He is more hopeless than Mare,' Ainz thought looking at a kid in front of him with pity in his eyes.

"Is something wrong?" the green head asked noticing his gaze.

"It's nothing," Ainz said with a wave of his hand. "Also, I apologize for not asking your name earlier."

"Oh, don't worry," he quickly shook his head. "My name is Izuku Midoriya. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you as well, Midoriya," Ainz said with a friendly smile, offering his hand to shake.

Ainz was doing his best to appear friendly, as he noticed that other examiners were eavesdropping on their conversation even as they walked.

After shaking his hand, Izuku asked, "By the way, do you mind if I ask you something?" When Ainz confirmed, he continued, "Are you perhaps related to Nazaric Enterprises? And it's okay if you don't want to answer. I don't want to-"

"Relax, it's not that big of a deal," Ainz interrupted, cutting off Izuku's panicked ramblings. "And yes, I am related to them. That's all I can tell you for now, for security reasons, of course."

"Oh..ok," after a moment of awkward silence, Izuku continued, "So how was your exa-" suddenly he was interrupted by a blond-haired boy shouting at him.

"Get out of my way, Deku," Bakugo growled threateningly at Izuku.

"Hey, Kaachan, good to see you," Midoriya asked in a trembling voice, avoiding Bakugo's furious gaze as much as possible. "How was your exam?"

"Why would I tell something like that to a loser like you?" Bakugo scoffed at Izuku, a sneer on his face. "And what are you doing here? I told you not to come, didn't I?" He placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder, with a menacing smile on his face.

Meanwhile, Ainz watched this interaction from the sidelines with a twisted feeling in his gut. Normally a calm and reasonable person like Ainz did not get upset over minor mistakes and insults as long as they did not bring shame to the glorious name of Nazarick or harm to its residents. However, there were certain types of people he could not stand, and bullies were one of them. They reminded him of his early days in Yggdrasil when high-level humanoid characters used to kill him because of his heteromorphic race. This cycle continued until he reached the point where he considered quitting the game, but one day, Touch Me, his first friend in the game, saved him and invited him to the guild that later became his home. And observing Midoriya's body language around Bakugo, it was clear to Ainz that Bakugo was definitely one of those people he could not stand.

"No, please. I am sor-" Midoriya's sentence was once again cut off, but this time it was Ainz who stepped forward to interrupt.

Ainz yanked Bakugo's hand off Izuku's shoulder and said, "It's not appropriate to shout like that in a public place," his voice cold and firm.

"Mind your own fucking business richy boy," Bakugo glared at Ainz.

"What if I don't want to?" Ainz asked, stepping forward to match Bakugo's glare.

"I'll make you," Bakugo said, popping an explosion in his hand.

"Go ahead, I will like you to try" Ainz challenged him looking straight into Bakugo's eyes. Honestly, Ainz knew that he could have easily smacked Bakugo around just with his physical strength alone but he didn't want to create a scene on the school grounds, so he held himself back. Instead, he activated [Aura of Despair I], which induced fear in Bakugo as a warning.

Sweat began to drip from Bakugo's forehead as he slowly backed down, his gaze shifting to Midoriya who stood in shock at the scene unfolding before him. Midoriya never expected Bakugo, of all people, to back down from a fight.

"Tsk, who cares," Bakugo clicked his tongue and wiped the sweat off his forehead. "I don't have time to waste on trash like you anyway." With those bitter words, Bakugo turned and left.

"Are you alright?" Ainz turned to Izuku, who was still standing there with his mouth agape.

"Oh, yeah. I'm alright," Izuku said, snapping back to reality. "And thank you for helping me, by the way."

"Don't worry about it," Ainz frowned. "I really despise people like him."

"Anyway, we should go too. The briefing could start at any moment," Izuku said and started walking towards the auditorium. But then...

Ainz's words stopped Izuku in his tracks. "You should really learn to stand up for yourself," Ainz advised. "How are you going to help people if you can't even help yourself," he added with a serious face, before turning and continuing on his way to the auditorium. As Midoriya silently followed behind, he couldn't help but ponder over Ainz's words.

:-:-:-:-:-:

After entering the auditorium, Ainz and Midoriya made their way to their assigned seats, which luckily happened to be next to each other.

Then rules of the exam were explained to them like no attacking other examinees or examiners, and the use of outside weapons was prohibited, etc... They were given 10 minutes to eliminate robot villains using their quirks. Three of the robot variants had 1, 2, and 3 points each, respectively, but the instructor, Present Mic, did not explain the fourth robot. Many thought it was a mistake on Mic's part, but having played Yggdrasil for many years, Ainz could easily deduce small tricks like that.

As Ainz looked to his side, he saw Midoriya scribbling something down in his notebook. When he peeked over, he noticed that Midoriya was taking notes on the instructor, Mic.

"Why are you taking notes on the instructor?" Ainz asked curiously.

"Don't you know about him?" Midoriya replied with a confused expression.

Ainz panicked for a moment, thinking to himself, 'Crap! Is he someone famous? I don't remember reading his name in Demiurge's report.' Ainz quickly composed himself and responded with a pre-arranged cover story. "You see, I just moved to this country recently, so I am not very familiar with many people around here," he explained to Midoriya.

"Okay, if that's the case, I can give you my hero analysis books. They can help you become more familiar with the heroes around here," Midoriya said with a smile.

"Then I will gladly accept your offer," Ainz replied, briefly wondering, 'Is that loud guy really a hero?' However, he quickly reminded himself of the situation, thinking, 'I was transported from a video game, so why should I be surprised by anything?'

As Ainz pondered over his thoughts, a boy with glasses stood up and spoke out, "Excuse me, sir, but you didn't explain anything about the fourth robot. This kind of behavior doesn't seem appropriate for a school like U.A." He then turned towards Midoriya and Ainz and added, "And you two should stop talking. It's disturbing the other examinees. If you're not taking the exam seriously, then please leave."

Midoriya's face turned red as he was called out directly, and he hid his face in his hands. However, Ainz wasn't going to let the baseless accusations slide. He responded firmly, "If you can't handle this much disturbance, how will you handle the chaotic nature of a hero's career?" He didn't even look in the boy's direction as he spoke.

The auditorium erupted in cheers and laughter at Ainz's words. The boy with glasses turned red in the face and quickly sat back down in his seat.

Meanwhile, Ainz felt satisfied with his response, thinking to himself, 'I guess spending time on those toxic forums wasn't a waste after all.'

After a while, the commotion died down when Mic requested everyone to quiet down. He then went on to explain that the fourth robot was an additional obstacle that didn't actually contribute any points to the exam.

Ainz pondered the reasoning behind the pointless obstacle and thought to himself, 'Perhaps it's some sort of bravery test to see if anyone can defeat that giant machine without any reward.' However, he quickly shrugged it off, thinking that he would simply destroy the robot depending on the situation.

The Present Mic later announced that there were four exam sites, and all the students would be divided among them based on their ID numbers. Ainz checked his ID number and found out that he was assigned to Site No. 3, while Midoriya was assigned to Site No. 1.

"Good luck on the exam, Nazarick," Midoriya said with a smile. "Let's both do our best."

"Thank you, Midoriya," Ainz replied. "Let's meet up after the exam."

"Oh..." Midoriya appeared taken aback by Ainz's response, but a faint smile soon appeared on his face. "Sure, see you later," he said before leaving for his assigned exam site.

'I think it's time for me to head to my own site, but before that...' Ainz contacted one of his Hanzos using the [Message] spell.

[L, are you there?]

[Yes, my lord. Waiting for your orders.]

[Spread out across all four exam sites and keep a close eye on everyone. If you find anything or anyone interesting, report back to me later.]

[Understood, my lord.]

Satisfied with the response, Ainz ended the message and made his way toward Site 3.

:-:-:-:-:-:

Upon arriving at his exam site, Ainz noticed a group of students gathered around a notice board, double-checking the instructions for the exam. Ainz decided to join them, partly because he wanted to blend in and appear as normal as possible, and partly because he had nothing else to do.

While reading the exam instructions, Ainz overheard someone nearby comment, "Fighting robots isn't very manly." Curious, he looked around to see who had made the remark. It was a young man with black hair and sharp teeth. Ainz couldn't help but think, "How can fighting robots not be cool?" However, he quickly realized that these kids were born with superpowers, so their definition of cool must be vastly different from a normal guy like him.

As he looked around, Ainz noticed two peculiar individuals. The first was a yellow-haired kid standing in a carefree manner, engrossed in his phone. Ainz couldn't help but smirk and think, 'Heh...Pikachu' as the boy reminded him of the electrifying mouse from an anime show he used to watch as a child.

Ainz also noticed another boy with blond hair and a skinny body posing in a flashy way and praising himself. Ainz wasn't sure if that was his quirk or if he could see something glittering around him. The boy noticed Ainz looking at him and struck another pose. Ainz thought to himself, 'Yep, I should definitely keep my distance.'

As Ainz was occupied evaluating other students, Mic's voice boomed from a nearby speaker, exclaiming "Kids, get ready! The exam is about to start any moment now." As he heard the announcement, Ainz quickly prepared himself for the exam and silently cast [Haste] on himself to enhance his speed.

And then, the massive gates slowly opened, revealing the breathtaking view of the mock city that had been built on the U.A campus.

At that exact moment, Ainz vanished from where he was standing, leaving everyone else bewildered and staring at the spot where he had just been. "What are you all waiting for? There are no countdowns in real life," Mic shouted, snapping the students out of their shock. With that, everyone made their way into the exam site.

:-:-:-:-:-:

As soon as he entered the site, Ainz was struck by the sheer size of the city that had been assigned to them. While it may not have been impressive to the denizens of Nazarick, Ainz, being a former human, knew the incredible cost of creating and maintaining something of this magnitude.

After taking a moment to survey the exam site, Ainz decided to focus on the task at hand. Within seconds, he spotted a group of five two-pointers on a city road. "Here goes nothing," he murmured to himself before swiftly executing a horizontal slashing motion with his hand, creating a faint black slash of wind that sliced the robots in half. This was possible thanks to Ainz's quirk, Dark Elemental.

:-:-:-:-:-:

Dark Elemental: This quirk allowed the user to generate and manipulate the dark counterparts of natural elements found in nature.

:-:-:-:-:-:

In reality, Ainz was utilizing the 5th tier spell [Elemental Control], which enabled him to generate and manipulate natural elements in his surroundings. Additionally, he was augmenting his attacks with [Touch of Undead], which not only boosted his damage output but also imbued his normal spells with a dark hue.

Back then, filling out his U.A. admission form proved to be a headache for Ainz, especially when he had to describe his quirk. Demiurge had suggested that he come up with a unique quirk that would set him apart from his peers and be easy to explain. Of course, the latter condition was self-imposed by Ainz himself.

Initially, Ainz had considered using his death magic as his quirk but decided against it since it was his strongest card and he didn't want to reveal it unless it was absolutely necessary. Mare, who was present to submit a report, suggested elemental magic as an alternative. After giving it some thought, Ainz decided to go with the suggestion for two reasons. First, he remembered that elemental attacks were incredibly powerful in this world, and second, he could even utilize high-tier spells like [Chain Dragon Lightning] under the guise of this quirk. Additionally, the quirk was easier to explain, which was a major factor in his decision-making process.

But Ainz remained hesitant about using the 5th-tier spells, so he decided to incorporate one of his skills to enhance the attack power of his elemental attacks. He spent the next few weeks experimenting with various skills until he settled on [Touch of Undead], which significantly boosted the attack power of his elemental attacks and gave them a cool black shade. However, he also discovered that the skill's instant death effect was nullified when used with spells below the 10th tier, which could be seen as a downside. Nonetheless, he saw this as an asset for the current situation. And so, Ainz's quirk, Dark Elemental was born.

Coming back to the present...

After dispatching the first five two-pointer robots, Ainz continued his tour of the city and destroyed any more bots he came across. He used his powerful abilities to tear through the machines with ease, ripping them apart or blasting them into pieces.

Ainz spotted some familiar faces from before, including a black-haired boy with a sharp chin who was ruthlessly dismantling the robots with his bare hands. Ainz noticed that the boy's hand seemed to harden as he struck the bots, leading him to suspect that it was due to a reinforcement-type quirk.

The second familiar face was a yellow-haired boy who was shooting bolts of electricity at the bots, causing them to short-circuit and collapse. "Of course, he has a thunderbolt," Ainz rolled his eyes at the boy's predictable power.

After some time, Ainz decided to take a break and survey the land from above. He created a small tornado under his feet and rose to the top of the highest building on site. From there, he reevaluated his score and waited for the main event.

After a few minutes, a colossal robot appeared in the city, as tall as a five-story building, and headed straight towards students who started running away from it. And although he had planned to take the metal giant down, Ainz waited for the perfect opportunity to enter the scene. He acted as if he was also running away from the robot, biding his time until the right moment arrived.

*Kirishima's pov*

Kirishima sprinted down the road of the hero licensing exam site, searching for robots to smash. Though it had only been five minutes since the exam began, he had already amassed a decent number of points. But he wasn't sure if it would be enough to pass.

As he ran, he spotted a three-pointer robot and hardened his fist, smashing it in the skull. "That's 30 points, maybe just a little more," he thought to himself. After tallying his points, he determined he needed just a few more to feel confident about passing, so he continued on.

As Kirishima continued his search for high-scoring bots, he encountered several one and two-pointers along the way. But with little time left in the hero licensing exam, he knew he needed to find a few more three-pointer robots to maximize his chances of passing.

As he scouted the area, he spotted a yellow-haired boy battling a three-pointer bot. But more importantly, he noticed a one-pointer closing in on the boy's blindside. Kirishima felt conflicted - if he helped the boy, he might fall short on points. But if he didn't, could he even call himself a hero?

As Kirishima debated whether to prioritize his points or help the yellow-haired boy, a one-pointer robot closed in on the boy, ready to attack. Without hesitation, Kirishima rushed towards the boy and tackled the robot with his hardened shoulder, knocking it down.

The yellow-haired boy turned around and saw Kirishima near the smashed robot, understanding what had just happened.

"Thanks for helping me," said the yellow-haired kid as he offered a hand to Kirishima. "By the way, I'm Denki Kaminari."

Kirishima stood up and accepted the offered hand. "Eijiro Kirishima," he introduced himself. "And don't worry about it. Helping others is the manly thing to do," he said, smacking his chest with a confident grin.

"Well, we should get back to the test now," said Kaminari, glancing at his watch.

Kirishima nodded in agreement. "Yeah, there's little time left. See you later then."

As he turned to leave, Kirishima caught sight of a huge robot entering the exam site, its metal bulk looming over the surrounding buildings.

"Isn't it a little too big?" Kaminari asked, his tone laced with humor.

"Should we engage it? Maybe we can take it down together," Kirishima suggested.

"Well, it's pointless to fight that thing. It won't earn us any points anyway," Kaminari rejected the idea.

"You're not wrong. Let's run to the opposite side then," Kirishima suggested, and they both headed in another direction.

As they were running, Kirishima heard someone shouting for help. He quickly turned around and saw a skinny, blond-haired boy kneeling on the ground, crying out in pain while holding his stomach. Then, Kirishima noticed that the giant robot was heading straight towards the boy, threatening to crush him.

The sight of the giant robot closing in on the defenseless boy triggered an unpleasant memory in Kirishima's mind. "Not this time," he said to himself and dashed towards the boy to save him.

As Kirishima reached the boy, he realized it was too late; the robot was already closing in on them both. Without hesitation, Kirishima stood in front of the blonde boy, shielding him from the robot with all his might. He hardened his body as much as possible to withstand the impact.

Kaminari stopped in his tracks as he realized what Kirishima was doing. "What is that idiot thinking?" he muttered to himself. Without hesitation, Kaminari pointed his fingers towards the giant robot, hoping to assist Kirishima in any way possible.

As the giant robot noticed the two figures, it lifted its foot to crush them. Kirishima closed his eyes and braced himself for the impact. But then...

*Thud*

Suddenly, a huge block of blackish ice appeared, shielding Kirishima from the robot's foot. When he opened his eyes, he saw a black-haired boy with expensive-looking clothes standing next to him.

"I guess I made it just in time," the black-haired boy said, smirking at Kirishima.

*Teacher's pov*

In the monitoring room, Nezu and other teachers were assessing the performance of the examinees.

"Hey, who is that?" Nemuri, also known as Midnight, asked, pointing to a boy who had just scored five two-pointers in the blink of an eye.

"Oh, that's examinee number 666, Satoru Nazarick," Nezu replied, looking at the screen Nemuri was pointing at, "here is his file."

Nemuri took the file from Nezu and quickly skimmed through it. "It's quite empty, don't you think?" she remarked, passing the file to another teacher. "Aside from his name and quirk description, there's nothing in here."

"Yes, you're right. This is a special case," Nezu explained. "Satoru Nazarick was personally recommended by the CEO and owner of Nazarick Enterprises, and they requested that we keep his information confidential, even in student files. But don't worry, I've already received the necessary documents, and they're currently locked behind multiple layers of secret codes on my computer."

"Why didn't he take the recommendation exam, then?" a man in a yellow sleeping bag asked from the corner of the room. "And why are you telling us this if it's supposed to be confidential?"

"Well, I did suggest Mr. Sebas this option, but he insisted that his son does not need any special treatment and will take the exams like other students. As for your second question, Shota, everyone in this room is a trusted ally, and you will be teaching these students in the future, so you should know what you are dealing with," Nezu said.

"Ah well, let's see how the others are doing," Midnight said. The teachers discussed the performances of various students for a few more minutes until they noticed a huge grin on Nezu's face.

"Well, it seems it's about time" Nezu looked at Power Loader.

Power Loader nodded at the principal and pressed the big red button on the control panel. As soon as he did, giant robots emerged at all four sites and began to rampage through the mock cities.

"It's been a long time since anyone took that thing down," Power Loader said, looking at All Might.

"We never know what might happen, can we?" Nezu said, gazing at the boy protecting an injured kid.

And as fate would have it, that day, two kids broke the common sense of entrance exams.

:-:-:-:-:-:

*Ainz's pov*

"I guess I made it just in time," Ainz said to the boy, who was looking at him with a shocked expression on his face.

"Ye... Yes," the boy stuttered.

"Well then, if you don't mind, I'll take care of the rest," Ainz said as he walked towards the giant.

All eyes were fixed on the scene as the giant stepped back, revealing a visible dent on its feet.

"Let me help," Kirishima said, stepping forward with his still-shaking legs.

"Thank you for your offer, but..." Ainz smirked as he lifted his finger and pointed towards the giant. "That won't be needed." In the next moment, a tiny fleck of black flames erupted from his finger and flew towards the giant robot.

Disappointment spread across everyone's faces as they thought Ainz was out of energy. But as soon as the tiny flame made contact with the giant, it burst into a large fire, consuming the machine. After a few seconds, the flames vanished, leaving an empty space where the 5-story tall giant once stood.

Meanwhile, other students around them stared at the scene with a mixture of shock, fear, and admiration in their eyes. They were struggling to comprehend what had just happened. All they had seen was a weak fleck of flame bursting into something that suddenly destroyed the giant robot. They didn't know how to react to this absurd situation, so they just stood there, gazing at the person who had made it possible.

"Are you alright?" Kirishima asked, wondering how Ainz looked completely unscathed after using such a large-scale attack.

"I'm fine, just a little tired," Ainz replied. In truth, he wasn't tired at all. He had only used the 7th-tier spell [Hell Flame], which wasn't enough to deplete his massive mana pool.

"Thank you for saving me," Kirishima bowed.

"Don't mention it," Ainz said, trying to act modestly. Suddenly, his enemy detection system picked up a massive power level nearby. Although it vanished in an instant, it was enough to put Ainz on guard.

"Time for the exam is over. Please leave the campus, and if you are hurt, stay where you are. Help is on the way," Mic announced at the end of the practical exam.

"I should be going as well," Ainz said, his expression serious as he began to walk away.

*Later that Day*

As Ainz made his way towards the school campus exit, he waited for Midoriya after the exam. However, when the boy failed to show up, Ainz decided to visit the school nurses to inquire about him. To his surprise, he discovered that Midoriya had been heavily wounded during the exam and was undergoing treatment. Ainz left a message for the boy before leaving the room, just a few minutes before All Might arrived.

Upon arriving at the school gates, Ainz discovered that Yuri was running late to pick him up. Although he didn't mind, he couldn't help but feel surprised, as Yuri was typically very punctual and diligent about her duties. As he pondered this, he glanced at the large clock on the school building and realized that the exam had ended 20 minutes early. Even after his detour to the medical room, he still had 10 minutes to spare.

Ainz sat down on a nearby bench and decided to use the time for something productive. But before doing so, he cast anti-information spells around himself. While it was possible for someone to approach him, it was unlikely due to the other children staring at him from a distance. 'It appears that I've gained quite a reputation,' he thought to himself with a wry smile.

After casting the anti-information spells, Ainz took out his phone and pretended to make a call while using the [Message] spell.

[L, are you there.]

[Yes, my lord.] Suddenly five Hanzos appeared out of thin air and kneeled in front of Ainz. Of course, they were still under the effect of [Invisibility] spells, so no one could see them. The Hanzo with a red band on his hand stepped forward. He was not a particularly special member of the group, but Ainz found it annoying to address all of them at once, so he selected one of them and appointed him as the leader. Ainz even gave him a red band and a name for his own convenience.

"Did you find anyone interesting?" Ainz asked.

"Yes, my lord. There are three individuals who might interest you," replied L.

"Three, you say?" Ainz rubbed his chin. "Did you get detailed information on them?"

"Forgive me, my lord, but all we have right now are their names. It will take some time to gather their detailed background information," explained L.

Ainz nodded, indicating for L to continue.

"The first one is Bakugo Katsuki," Ainz's expression soured as soon as he heard the name. "He has defeated the most enemies among the human children, and has shown exceptional combat proficiency for someone his age."

"The second is Fumikage Tokoyami," L continued. "He is able to summon a powerful black creature to fight on his behalf. However, the creature seems to have its own will and can be difficult to control."

"And the third is Izuku Midoriya," L said, but Ainz cut him off. The name had piqued his interest.

"Are you sure you got that name right?" Ainz asked, just to make sure.

"Yes my lord we are sure about it" L answered while the rest of the group nodded along.

"I see," Ainz nodded, deep in thought. 'He didn't seem that strong back then, but perhaps I missed something.' "Continue," he said.

"During the exam, he didn't score any points. However, in the end, he demonstrated incredible power by taking down a giant machine with a single punch. He did this in order to rescue a girl who had been trapped under the debris," L explained.

Then Ainz remembered the power he felt at the exam site and thought, 'So it was him,' Ainz smirked to himself, 'Izuku Midoriya huh? Well, it seems this school is an interesting place after all.'

"Listen, I want you to report your findings to Demiurge and Albedo, but leave out Izuku Midoriya's name. I will personally investigate him," Ainz instructed. "Additionally, inform Demiurge that I require information on U.A. and its staff as soon as possible." With that, he ended the call and watched as Hanzo vanished into thin air.

As the 10 minutes passed, Yuri finally arrived to pick him up, "Sorry for making you wait, my lord," Yuri greeted him with an apologetic smile.

"It's alright, I just got here," Ainz replied as he climbed into the car and settled into his seat, ready to head back to his apartment.

"So, how was your day, my lord?" Yuri asked as she started the car.

"It was great, and you know what?" Ainz replied, an amused smile spreading across his face. "I made a new friend today." With that, he settled back into his seat and closed his eyes. The car hummed softly as it made its way back to the apartment, marking the end of a long and eventful day.

To be continued...
