A Matter Of Trust-Ch 26
Derek and Reid were waiting in another interrogation room waiting on Kevin and Reid looked over at Derek and said, "you know that you have to remain calm, right?", Derek said, "I know, I know but you know that isn't gonna be easy". Reid nodded his head and said, "yes, yes I do but in order for us to get what we need out of Kevin we both have to be calm because he needs to pay for what he's done to you and Garcia".
Their conversation ended as the door open and a guard led Kevin into the room and much like Zach, Kevin was led over to the table and his cuffs were fastened to the top of the table, the guard then looked at the two agents and said, "I'll be right outside the door, let me know when you're finished".
Reid said, "thank you officer, we will", Derek and Reid then watched as the officer walked across the room, opened the door and stepped out into the hall closing the door behind him, their attention then turned to Kevin. Reid said, "Kevin", Kevin smiled and said, "agent Reid", he then glared at Derek and said, "hotstuff" and then started laughing, Derek balled his fists up under the table and kept looking at Kevin.
Kevin said, "soooo to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit today?", Reid said, "ohhhh I'm sure if you think really hard you'll know why it is that we're here Kevin", Derek sighed and said, "we want to discuss your case with you". Kevin said, "my case, ahhhh yes, you think that I'm going to go to prison over this don't you?", Reid's attention turned to Derek for a second before returning back to Kevin, he then said, "ohhh yes Kevin you are going to spend the rest of your life in prison".
Kevin laughed and said, "for what?", Derek grinned and said, "I know you're not stupid Kevin, you know exactly what you and Zach did, you put cameras in my house and in baby girls apartment, you planted the used condom wrapper and ring there too". Kevin sat listening as Derek said, "you also sent her flowers a necklace and sent those pictures to me on two different occasions, you did everything that you could to break me and Penelope up".
Reid couldn't miss the huge smile that was still on Kevin's face as Kevin said, "ahhhh yes, that, well it seems that everything I did was worth it because the two of you are history and Penelope has left you, she's left you for good". Derek said, "well she's gone for now but when she comes back", Kevin said, "you mean if don't you?", Derek said, "no, I mean when and when she comes back we'll talk and work things out because nothing is going to keep us apart".
Kevin laughed and said, "I still can't believe how little it took to make you doubt her, flowers, a necklace and those planted items", he shook his head at Derek and said, "shame shame on you agent Morgan and here I thought you loved your baby girl more than that butttttt I guess I was wrong, I guess she was just another notch on your bedpost like allllllll the others".
Reid reached over and put his hand on top of Derek's and Derek turned to look at him, he smiled and said, "I'm okay Reid, I'm okay", their attention then turned back to Kevin as Reid said, "I'm sure that you know that everything you and Zach did will carry still consequences for you both", Kevin nodded his head and said, "I do but breaking them up was worth it and I'll never regret it, not now, not ever".
They sat in silence for a couple of minutes before Reid's cell started beeping, he took it from his belt and looked at the text, he smiled and then showed Derek the text that said, "Zach cooperated, he turned against Kevin". Derek said, "wellllllll do you know what this message says Kevin?", Kevin sat back in his seat and said, "I don't know and I don't care agent hotstuff", Reid said, "well you should care because it's about Zach".
Kevin said, "Zach, what about him?", Derek said, "he just turned on you, spilled his guts", Kevin looked at the agents in disbelief and said, "you're lying, he would never do that, he would never turn on me". Reid held out his cell to show Kevin the message, Kevin said, "but, but" and Derek laughed as they stood up and said, "the only butt is yours because you are going to be spending the rest of your life in prison where you belong".
They walked over to the door and Derek knocked on the door, the officer opened the door and Derek walked out, Reid turned around and walked back over to Kevin who looked up at him and said, "what do you want?", Reid smiled and said, "I just wanted you to know that when they get married I'll personally bring you pictures to show you how happy they are", Kevin laughed and said, "it won't happen, she won't forgive him, not after how he treated her".
Reid said, "ohhh she will, when she comes back they'll talk and they'll work things out and then she won't be Penelope Garcia anymore", Kevin watched the smile on Reid's face get larger as he said, "she'll be Mrs. Derek Morgan and that will allllllll be because of this stunt that you pulled so thanks Kevin, thanks for all of your efforts", Kevin shook his head and as the door shut Derek and Reid grinned at each other as Kevin screamed, "I HATE YOU BOTH SOOOOOOO MUCH".
Derek and Reid said, "the feelings mutual" in unison as they turned around and headed toward the nearest exit
