Chapter Six. Pep Talk and Reunion
"Yo, Pablo." Kelly called out from the distance.
Pablo turned around to see the woman he admired arrive at his fish and chip stand as he continued with his work.
"Hey, so," Kelly said as she approached him before looking at the stand, "Oh, my God. Holy shit."
She walked over next to Pablo. "Man, dreams do come true."
Pablo scoffed. He could tell she was happy for him but that wasn't on his mind at the moment. "Yeah...some of them."
He then turned away, feeling as if he had lost Kelly.
"Ah, come on Pablo," Kelly groaned as she tried to assure him, "I had to get away. I was forging my path and shit. Plus, you know how Ash can be when he's not fighting evil. He..."
"Smells like Bengay?" Pablo asked.
"I was gonna say, "he gets a little hard to take"", Kelly answered with a laugh, "totally."
"Yo," Pablo asked as Kelly prepared a fist palm, "what's with your boy Dalton scoping me out like he's some sort of INS agent?"
"It's those tats, Pablo," Kelly answered, "Dalton thinks that..."
"They're cool?"
"That it means this evil shit is still inside of you, but you're feeling good, right? I mean, nothing weird or anything?"
Pablo shook his head, "Yeah. It's nothing more than usual. I'm good."
The two heard tires screech and they looked to see Ash arriving on the scene.
"Business is booming I see." Ash stated.
"What the fuck happened to you?" Kelly asked as she and Pablo noticed the mess on his pants.
"That is a long sad story involving some unsightly bodily fluids." Ash answered.
"Oh." Pablo nodded.
"One thing is clear," Ash explained, "evil's after my offspring. The born, and the unborn."
"Why?" Pablo asked.
"I wish I knew, Pablo." Ash answered. "Before I go any further, where's the armor guy?"
"He said he was going to meet with the rest of the Ronin Warriors as well as their guardians," Kelly answered, "James said to tell you he'll return tomorrow with the Ronins and Guardians in tow and their duty shall begin."
"Right," Ash nodded before continuing, "I'll tell you this, from now on, protecting Brandy is job one. I may suck balls as a father, but I will not let evil take that away."
There was a pause of silence as Kelly and Pablo both shared an acknowledgment nod.
"Brandy, I meant," Ash spoke up as he glanced around, "Or my balls."
"We got it." Kelly replied.
-Collision-Course-
James and Twyla made their way to the hotel where their friends were staying at. He was glad Mia was able to make it with no trouble and noticed there were three hotel rooms reserved for the group. Of course, they were spending the night at this hotel and they were sharing a room with Ryo and Mia.
The couple arrived at the lobby and met with their friends and they were hugging their friends, greeting them and exchanging welcomes.
"So, what's this situation here in Michigan again?" Hana asked.
"There is this evil in Elk Grove that are zombie like creatures called Deadites," James explained, "I assume they are working with this demon broad named Ruby, who is set to kill Ash Williams, who is supposed to be this Prophesied One against this evil."
"Zombies!" Rekino and Hana both exclaimed in unison. "Ewww!"
"It looks like we have our word cut out for us, right?" Ryo asked.
"That's right," James answered, "when you least expect it, they might possess someone. They possessed Brandy's friend Rachel, who killed Brandy's mother in front of her during my first encounter with the Deadites."
"Brutal." Mia gasped in shock.
"Yeah." Twyla nodded in agreement.
James glanced up as he saw Amaya in prayer. He could tell this was making her nervous.
"Are you going to be okay, Mya?" Kento asked.
"I will be fine," Amaya answered. "However, you shouldn't interrupt someone when they are praying."
"So," Twyla asked, "James and I are rooming with Ryo and Mia. What about the rest of you?"
"What we decided was," Sage answered, "Josephine and Kento will room with Cye and Amaya while Hana and I share a room with Rekino."
"We made that decision and booked the hotel rooms during our flight here," Rekino added, "Albeit, I was unsure where I wanted to room with but Ryo suggested you guys room with him and Mia."
The group headed to a diner across the street for dinner and while they were eating, discuss what they were going to do while in Michigan.
"So, what's the agenda here?" Rowen asked.
"We meet Ash Williams!" Hana exclaimed.
"And his legendary boomstick!" Rekino added.
"Guys, this is serious!" Amaya chastised her friends.
"Of course we are going to meet Ash and his friends." James replied calmly.
"This is starting to sound like a Pokemon episode." Sage stated.
"Well, his name is Ash." Twyla replied.
"We need to figure out more about this Ruby character." Ryo spoke up. "Keep Ash safe while he does his things against these Deadites and protect his daughter."
"We also should figure out why Ruby wants Ash dead and her motive there." Cye suggested.
"That's exactly on the agenda." James nodded in agreement. "Whether he realizes it or not, Ash Williams is in danger, along with the rest of humanity. He will be needing all of the help that he can get."
