When they got to work they rode up on the elevator together and Derek smiled the entire time, he couldn't believe that she had agreed to give him another chance and that they were having a movie night at his place. As the doors opened up she stepped off first and said, "have a good day Derek", he smiled at her and said, "you too baby girl, you too" and then he headed toward the bullpen and she headed toward her lair.
Reid looked up to see a smiling Derek, he walked over to him and said, "and what's got you in such a good mood already?", he sat down in his seat and said, "I went to see Penelope at her apartment this morning". JJ and Emily looked up from their desks and Emily said, "please tell me that you didn't pressure her or try to strong arm her again?", Derek shook his head and said, "no I didn't, I just went over to see her and we talked".
JJ said, "and from the smile you're sporting I'd say that the talk went good?", he said, "it did, she's agreed to give me another chance and we're having a movie night at my place tonight after work". Reid grinned at his friend and said, "and this time don't screw it up Derek", he said, "don't worry pretty boy, I won't, I won't misuse this second chance that she's so graciously given to me, I love her and today and tonight is when I start showing her just how much her and the baby mean to me".
Hotch walked out of his office and said, "BAU team, we'll be having a meeting in a few minutes", they all looked at each other and then at Hotch as they nodded their heads yes in agreement and then watched as Hotch walked back into his office. Meanwhile in her lair Penelope looks up when she hears a knock at her door, she said, "come in", the door opened to reveal Mick and the others, she said, "come in, come in" and they wasted no time in entering the room and walking over to her.
Ron said, "you seem happy this morning, did something happen?", she said, "it did, I had a visitor this morning", Rick said, "is it a certain profiler that we all know?", she laughed and said, "that would be the one yepppppp". Tim laughed and shook his head and said, "sooooo how are things going?", Penelope sighed and rubbed her growing stomach as she said, "I agreed to give him another chance and we're going to start with a movie night at his place tonight".
Nick sighed happily and said, "that's the best news I've heard in a while and so help me he'd better not screw things up between you this time or I", she laughed and said, "don't worry, he won't, he's seen how close he came to losing everything". Mick said, "do you believe that he's honestly sorry for what he did and said to you?", she blew out a deep breath and nodded her head yes and said, "I do guys, I really and truly do".
Tim said, "good, good", Penelope said, "don't tell me that you guys are here solely to check up on me and Derek?", they shook their heads no and Ron said, "well you are a big reason but not the only reason, we're all having a group meeting in a few minutes sooo before that gets started we wanted to check in on our girl", they were pulled from their conversation when they heard Derek clear his throat from the door.
He walked into the room and said, "ya know I thought she was my girl", Mick grinned and said, "she is for now but if you hurt her again Morgan I swear to you on all that is holy that I will end you", Derek said, "you don't have to worry, I won't do anything to hurt baby girl or our little one" as he gently rubbed her baby bump.
Penelope said, "soooo what's up hotstuff?", he smiled at hearing her use one of his nicknames again and said, "I'm here to let you know that we're having a meeting in the round table room", she said, "yeah, they were just telling me about it" as she motioned to the men surrounding her
Derek said, "andddd I came to walk my girl to the meeting", Mick and the others rolled their eyes and Tim said, "we'll head on out then and leave you two alone", Penelope said, "hey before you head out for the meeting, do you guys wanna have lunch with me later?", Derek watched as the men smiled and nodded their heads yes, he sighed and looked down at the floor for a few seconds before meeting her eyes again.
Penelope said, "and I want you to be there to angel fish, that is if you don't have any other plans", he said, "nope, no plans, none at all, I'm yours", Ron coughed and said, "cheesyyy" causing everybody to laugh. Mick said, "come on guys let's go", Penelope watched the others as they walked out of her lair, Derek then held his hand out and said, "shall we princess?", she put her hand in his and said, "we shall my prince" as he helped her up out of her seat and they walked hand in hand out of her office and up the corridor that led to the bullpen.
